Salto De Pilar Cliff Jumping Tour

Great experience, off the beaten path excursion. Jerry is very professional and knowledgeable. He communicated often before pick up and was on time. This is not a trip for the very young or those that are not able to walk and navigate rough terrain and walk through running water. For context I am 54 year old male and went with 18 year old athletic daughter. We ski, mountain bike, hike, run, etc. and found this to be enjoyable and manageable excursion. Jerry also brought us to an excellent bakery before we started and we then had lunch at a wonderful local restaurant. Overall great experience!!

Our group went on the Cliff Diving Tour and it was amazing. It’s not cliff diving like you see the pros do in Hawaii so don’t let the title scare you, it’s more jumping into the river off of the high bank. We had ages 17-60 and everyone loved it. The hike up is a little challenging but nothing too crazy (Mostly rocky). Jerry and Manuel were super knowledgeable and were a huge help getting us through the tougher spots They are also a riot and made the trip so much fun. I’m a 57 yr old out of shape lady and I completely enjoyed it. The lunch afterwards was delicious too. If you’re feeling adventurous please try this hike, it’s gorgeous and so much fun. I can’t recommend these two guys more.

Very exciting, challenging and outgoing mini adventure is how i would describe this tour. Amazing experience with the tour guide, francisco is an amazing guy, local here to pr and told us all about the island, its history and fun facts to get around. Very welcoming and helpful guide I have to say, always prioritizing our safety.

Our guide was Mr. Manuel. He was the best guide we have ever had. He kept everything fun and interesting. The restaurant was really good and friendly at the end.

This tour was fantastic and one of the better organized and fun things we've done on vacation. We're always trying to find things to keep our teenage boys entertained and this definitely hit the spot. Walking up a river to a waterfall and cliff jumping into the water was so much fun had by the entire family. From our 15 year old "this is the best tour you've ever taken us on".

Sometimes you meet tour guides and immediately you know they were made to do the job. That's Jerry. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our day exploring with Jerry. We did El Rincon de Chencho Waterfalls and Natural swimming pool and hiked up to Salto de Pilar- definitely worth it. It's a pretty unique experience to be immersed in nature without disturbance from anyone else. We will definitely book another tour with Jerry on our next trip to Puerto Rico.

This trip was a highlight of our trip to PR, especially for our 15 yo who loves cliff jumping/flipping. Even after visiting 3 other well-researched cliff jumping sites on our own, this trip stood out. As noted by many other reviewers, Jesus is awesome. He was born to be a tour guide and made the trip fun for all of us, adjusting to each of our individual interests (double flips and gainers for my son, flower and plant id for me, exploring the cave under the waterfall for my son and me). The site is remote and requires passage on private land, so it would be inaccessible without a guide. We were the only group on the tour, and no one else was at the site, a real bonus. The lunch after was buffet-style with good, hearty Puerto Rican fare. We were able to try many different dishes, with much-needed help/explanation from Jesus.

Loved every part of this trip! Definitely got our money’s worth. Our tour guide Jesus was the best! Couldn’t have asked for a better tour, if you’re thinking about booking this tour i would definitely recommend this one as long as it’s with Jesus :)

Our tour guide Jesus was the best! Super friendly and knowledgeable with great sense of humor. We did the cliff jumping tour and had a great time. He also took us to a local grocery store and restaurant and took the time explaining things, answering questions, and helping us order. Got a great history lesson on the way to the destination too! Also provided recommendations on some things to do while on the island. Would definitely book again.

We are in PR the week after Christmas and many of the more frequently done tours/adventures were already booked. I wound up finding Jerry’s Adventures online and, thankfully, they had space for us for their “Poor Man’s Paradise Cliff Jumping Tour.” Very shortly after booking, I received a welcoming text from their GM, Manuel, who offered to answer any questions we may have. Because we are staying in Rio Grande, not San Juan, where many of their visitors stay, we asked if we could meet them closer to the tour site. Manuel arranged for us to be picked up at a nearby mall, so that we wouldn’t have to drive as far, which was really convenient! On the trip, our guides were Jesus and Jerry himself. Both were so nice, warm, upbeat, knowledgeable, and fun. Upon arrival to the mountainside, we walked along a path to a beautiful natural pool being fed by a gorgeous, picture perfect waterfall! Some parts of path were challenging because it’s understandably muddy, but it was manageable and Jesus and Jerry made sure to give very good instructions and offer a hand if needed. This trip was beyond expectations. We had our own personal paradise. There were NO other tourists in the area. We were able to take our time, do multiple jumps off of the different height cliffs, and swim in the cold and refreshing water. After, we drove to a yummy BBQ place and enjoyed a wonderful meal. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to enjoy an off the beaten path adventure with fun and down-to-earth people. Excellent value for a personal, one-of-a-kind adventure! Tip your guides, they deserve it! :)

I had an awesome experience with my friends. I was extremely hungry before the trip because we went at 9am and my friends and I did not have time to stop and eat. Without even asking, I guess it was part of the trip, we went to grab a quick breakfast and use the bathrooms and grab any snacks we needed or wanted for the trip. Then we went to see a view from some of the mountains. Then we went to the place and have a great time jumping off the cliffs. The place was absolutely gorgeous! It was breathtaking. Warning, definitely bring a pair of shoes you do not care to get muddy! It is right next to the rainforest so you will get a bit dirty. Totally worth it for the experience. Our tour guides Jesus and Jerry were incredible, and were really making sure that our experience was nothing but perfect. 100% recommend this activity to anyone who wants to have a memorable time in Puerto Rico.

BEST TOUR EVER. Guide Jesus was amazing and knowledgeable, and the trip was so much fun! Only a small walk to a huge waterfall with several places to jump off from. Couldn’t rate the experience any better. Definitely the perfect thing to embellish your trip to Puerto Rico!

This was going to be the highlight of our family's vacation celebrating two recent graduates. Poor Mans Paradise cancelled our reservation three days before we were to cliff jump and gave us no other dates except for one after we depart PR. We booked over a month in advance and they would not squeeze us in to another tour. They cancelled claiming they had no tour guide available. Be aware of this possibility. Very disappointed with how they would not accommodate us after they were the ones who cancelled.

Don’t second guess just book!!! Me and my boyfriend were excited for this event the whole time we were in Puerto Rico and thanks to jerry it was the most amazing experience ever. From the moment jerry picked us up I felt like I was with family it was just me him and my boyfriend he took us to eat before at a local family Resturant which had amazing food!! We then went cliff jumping and man it was so fun and so beautiful!! We got to swim under the waterfall and see a cave which is a must see I wish we could’ve got pictures :( I’m so happy my first time cliff jumping was with jerry I did 15 and 30ft no problem 35 ft took a minute and I didn’t do 40. Jerry really takes care of his people and makes them feel comfortable we talked about life, family, and traveling this guy is passionate about what he does it shows and because of that you’ll have the most amazing time of your life. I’d like to add that he stopped at Walgreens so I could get tampons this man will treat you right and give you the time of your life so don’t hesitate just do it!!!!

Jerry is the most accommodating tour guide! the sceniary, the rain forest, it was amazing! Jerry was such a gentlemen’s & very knowledgeable. explained everything on the car ride there. MAKE SURE YOU’RE READY TO HIKE

Get ready for a fun day with the best tour guide in all of Puerto Rico. Jerry is the most fun and personable tour guide we have ever had. He was full of knowledge and made our little group feel like a family. The paradise he brought us too had a muddy trail but it was worth the mess! Absolutely beautiful waterfalls and refreshing water to jump into. We were scared to jump at first but Mr Jerry makes sure everyone feels comfortable in order to have the best time! Thank you Mr Jerry for a great day! We can’t wait to return!

Wow is the first word that comes to mind when I think of Mr. Jerry. I have been around the world and have been on dozens of tours and Mr. Jerry was the absolutely amazing. I can tell wholeheartedly that he loves his job and has so much passion for Puerto Rico. We did the PMP tour and had an amazing time jumping, swimming and seeing the rain forest. He goes above and beyond to make sure that his guests are enjoying the tour. We look forward to coming back to PR and having Mr. Jerry be our guide again. Thanks!

Are you a little (or a lot) afraid of heights? Jerry’s Poor Man’s Paradise has different levels for you to jump from and land in the welcoming and refreshing waters below. Need a little encouragement? Jerry will be there to motivate you- heck he’ll even jump in to show you how it’s done and wade in the water and encourage you to jump in also. If jumping isn’t your style- this tour has plenty for you to do and see as well. Snap photos of the gorgeous plants of Puerto Rico, lay out next to the waterfalls and catch those sun rays, wade in the pools of water at the top or bottom of the falls. Paradise has plenty to do and see when you trust Jerry to lead the way and bring you out of your shell. You’ll leave the tour with photos and memories and a desire to do it all again soon!

This adventure was amazing! JERRY took us into a hidden waterfall with cliffs to jump from with crystal clear waters. The waterfall and secret hidden gem green lagoon was stunning. I can't wait for my next visit to PR so I can return!
