Ron Del Barrilito Mixology Skip-the-line Tour

This was our second visit to the Ron del Barrilito distillery. We brought our kids so they could experience the history and peaceful settings. The mixology tour is fantastic. You learn so much about the rum and its origins. The drinks we made are so much fun and delicious! They've improved the patio area with comfortable seating and shade. It is a must try if you are in Puerto Rico!

Awesome experience to learn about Puerto Rican history, the rum, and the process this small team that operates as found family executes on. The mixology class was so much fun!

Amazing experience. Was able to get checked in and have our welcome drink! The tour guide was very knowledgeable. The cocktail making class was so interactive. I let them know of a food allergy and they were able to switch things for me so that I could get the full experience still!

Octavio Our tour guide was absolutely wonderful! He was attentive, informative, and very knowledgeable. He made sure everyone was comfortable, answered all of our questions, and shared interesting information throughout the tour. His professionalism and friendly personality made the experience enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for an excellent tour experience!

This was an amazing experience. Learning the history of the family and the rum. And the drinks you get are well worth the money. Our teacher was great and I would do it again.

First thing if coming from a cruise take an Uber and not Taxi. (Taxi overcharged and didnt know how to follow a GPS). It is a 25 minute ride from port. The factory had a beautiful visitor center and the drinks were top notch. The tour was very interesting and the mixology class was so fun and easy to follow along. We had a great experience.

I loved our guide Tim. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Gave great instructions on mixing the drinks. Totally ambiance was perfect.

We had such a fun experience with the Mixology class! We started with a quick tour before getting into the class, and our host was absolutely wonderful. She was very attentive, knowledgeable, funny, and made the entire experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. We learned a lot, had plenty of laughs, and of course enjoyed making and trying the drinks. I also loved that we received certificates at the end — such a cute touch and a great way to remember the experience! Overall, we had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this Mixology class. It was fun, interactive, and a great experience from beginning to end!

We did the mixology tour and it was well worth it! Got to see all the grounds and learn the history along with how they operate today. The drinks you learn to make are really tasty! It's well worth your time.

Amazing experience! I loved the tour beforehand and seeing the aged barrels. The class was fun and I felt like a bartender. Highly recommend!

Be prepared to have the best experience of all time and come thirsty this was the best rum tour I’ve ever experienced the mixology class at the end. great bonus.

This is the second rum distillery I’ve been to in PR and the best. We took the property tour and did the mixology class. The rum cocktails were absolutely outstanding. Afterwards, we went into the gift shop and saw the handmade seals going on the bottles and found gifts for the whole family. This was an amazing tour!

This was one of the best cocktail classes we have taken! Rio was our guide and mixologist. He provided a private tour of the factory and its history. He then provided great instruction on how to make each drink and then taught us how to personalize each drink to our own preference and liking. We made three drinks and also received a complimentary drink on arrival. Rio provided both humor and history for a great experience. Purchasing rum on site was an added bonus so pack accordingly! Would highly recommend.

We purposely picked this distillery tour as we had heard it was a smaller operator with a more personalized experience! True indeed. Small group tour and excellent mixology class. 1 complimentary drink before the tour and then 3 more during the mixology class (Old fashioned, Encantado and Pina colada.) Beautiful visitor center too!

We made old fashioned, Encanto, & piña colada. I don't even drink, but participated in the mixology class which was SO FUN and they even catered my drinks to make mocktails for myself. The piña colada was really really good. Then I was the driver for the ride home since with the mixology tour + the welcome cocktail you get 4 drinks. I learned a lot, it was beautiful, and our tour guide/mixology teacher was very funny and friendly (I can’t remember her name but it started with M). Definitely recommend!

Incredible property and fun excursion. Well organized. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very much worth the trip. The only mistake we made was not eating beforehand and having a lot of alcohol. Luckily they had fantastic dips and chips to purchase and eat after with our drinks. We enjoyed the patio area and grounds as much as the tour and class. My adult kids said this was the best part of our trip!

This was an awesome experience!! Pedro was very knowledgeable of the grounds, history, rum making process and had great vibes about himself. The tour and him teaching thw mixology class was tip tier!! You get a complimentary drink of your choice, and then they teach you how to make 3 additional drinks. So for $90 you get a tour, 4 drinks and a mixology certificate and a great time. Well worth it.

Mixology tour was a blast. Pina Colada was one of the best I’ve ever had. Got 4 drinks and had such fun! Definitely worth a visit.

This was super fun! We got a tour of the original estate, distillery and ended with a mixology class! Our tour guide was fantastic!

Valeria guided my girlfriend and I through a private tour of the Ron del Barrilito distillery, the old house from the family, and had such a great time doing the mixology class. We made an Old Fashioned, the Encanto, and the Piña Colada for our 3 cocktails in the mixology class. You will be getting 3 cocktails as well as the complimentary 4th cocktail if you arrive 30 minutes before your tour starts, so make sure that you pace yourself if you drove there. The entire property is gorgeous, and there is so much history there. I was incredibly impressed in the tour, and seeing all of the barrels of rum aging and going through the process was awesome. I have been on many whiskey & bourbon distillery tours, and this one was special. 10/10, Valeria made all the difference in making this tour a full experience.

You get a free drink upon entry. The staff was personable and knowledgeable about their craft. The tour was super informative and at the end we got to make 3 mix drinks which were awesome. 10 out 10, would recommend!

Best tour on the Island. Definitely a Rum convert after tasting the Rum and making the drinks the proper way! Highly recommended.

Would highly recommend visiting and taking the tour and mixology course! Wonderful amount of history, local culture & the drinks are incredible. The distillery is very nice and they have a beautiful outdoor area. Post class we had to buy a bottle of rum to take home and try to recreate the drinks we learned to make.

Excellent tour. Upon arrival, we received a welcome cocktail, which was yummy! We had a tour of the facility, then we did the mixology class, which was a lot of fun. We made 3 delicious drinks. Would highly recommend this tour!

This experience was one of the highlights of our whole Caribbean trip! This class was very fun, informative, but most of all very tasty! The rum here is delicious! We bought some at the airport afterwards, duty free. You make 3 full incredible drinks and get another of their innovative ones for free. Don’t plan on driving home! Ha! The equipment at everyone’s station for making the cocktails are top notch and you don’t have to share with others. There is a beautiful porch you can sit on to have your free drink and there are delicious snacks to purchase. 100% do this experience!!

Incredible drinks and super fun, informative, and entertaining tour and mixology class. Timmy was our tour guide mixologist and it was a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing afternoon.

It was the Best time ever! Our host was great for only working at there for like six months he was very knowledgeable & entertaining! When we return to PR with others we will be back.

We did a Mixology class (includes regular tour) and it was a blast. Try to come at least 30 min early and plan to stay late. There is a lot of drinking... it took about 20 min to get there by uber from old town. If staying in old San Juan it might be fun to take the ferry. We did not do that because ferry leaves only once an hour but with better planning could be paired with an Uber. Our tour guide and cocktail teacher Octavio was lovely. The space is very comfortable. Afterwards we had excellent dinner at Tostones Jibareño, a casual local restaurant not too far from rum factory.

This was the best mixology class yet! I will be back again bringing more with us, if your looking for a great class, and chips and dip that are delicious, do it you won’t be disappointed!

Booked for a girls trip and was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed the cocktails (I don’t even like the taste of rum but these cocktails were excellent). Our guide was awesome and we made three drinks each. Then we hung out, finished our drinks, ordered snacks, bought souvenirs, and took advantage of our free drink tokens.

This was a great experience. We started with a cocktail from the bar that was included. Next, there was a tour of the facility, including the bottling process and original family home. Next we made 3 drinks in the cocktail class and they were all very tasty. The guide Marjorie was very nice and accommodating of our member with a disability.

Great and fun experience. Received a complimentary artisan cocktail in the beginning of the tour that was probably the best I’ve ever had! We will be implementing what we learned for sure!

Tour was interesting and interactive without being dry. The facility is beautiful and tranquil. Our tour guide was also super down to earth and knowledgeable. The mixology class was fun, tasty and boozy! Exactly what we wanted! Book!

This was such a unique and well-rounded experience! Our guide walked us through the rum-making process, giving us a look inside the factory and explaining how the aging and storage work. The mixology class included three strong cocktails (plus a bonus drink token), so definitely plan ahead for safe transportation. It’s educational, boozy, and full of local charm, an excellent blend of culture and fun.

We had a great time visiting this historic distillery. While too many opt for the “bat,” I’d recommend coming here… the rum is better and they are awesome. Nice tour of the distillery and a fantastic mixology class. You get to learn how to correctly create three rum drinks (2oz each of 3* rum). You pour into glasses you can take into the visitor area to enjoy at your own pace. It’s a close ride share from the city… can’t recommend enough! Also, our tour guide was a rockstar.

Our tour guide was wonderful. She answered all questions and more. The tour was short but very informative and interactive. We ended with a fun cocktail class where we each got to make 3 cocktails and enjoyed at the end. Glad we decided to add this to our very short weekend in PR.
