My friend and I had a great time with Jerry’s Adventures! Mr. Jerry was so helpful and communicative the day before about parking and expectations. The tour included water and we were taken to two local places to eat and enjoy pastries. The waterfall was absolutely beautiful and we got to hang out there for a while to enjoy the views. Manuel was our guide and he was fantastic. He was very personable and asked questions to engage the group. He shared about Puerto Rican history and helped us with our Spanish! Thank you for all you do to make time in Puerto Rico rich, Jerry and Manuel!! Dios lo Bendiga!!

You will get to see the mountains of Puerto Rico, the country side of the island, the culture, eat the local food, be with and among the locals, swimming in waterfalls, hiking in the forest etc. Travel comfortably in a 14-passenger, air-conditioned van, 1700 ft above sea level into the mountains of Puerto Rico (approximately a 40-50 minute drive from San Juan). This hike IS NOT in the rainforest. The only people that know about this spot are the locals. This trail is approximately 40-60 minutes long, depending on your fitness level. This Adventure has everything that you look for on a hike, including; climbing over trees, jumping over bodies of water, walking over fallen trees etc… Once we arrive at this breathtaking waterfall, you will have plenty of time to explore and take a dip in the gorgeous waters! The last stop is at an authentic Puerto Rican restaurant to enjoy a late lunch or early dinner (at your own expense). After our meal, we then will bring you back to San Juan!

Jerry is without a doubt the best tour operator out there. Our group of 15 had an amazing time and Jerry is truly the best. He is a tour guide, comedian, historian and all around great guy. This was our second time using his company and we wont use anyone else.
Excellent communication & hosting! On time easy pick up from hotel area and such a great guide! Tour was amazing with great hike through forest, over rocks & streams to a beautiful waterfall! Swimming was very good and we went at the pace of the group - 8 people.
If you’re not use to this heat the actual hike on foot was perfect. Excellent bakery shop for sweet 💖
What an experience. Mr. Manuel is the best guide , will definitely make your tour memorable! The experience is truly one and the only. The hidden waterfall is not easy to find and tourists could not find the place by themselves. It worth going if you have time in San Juan!
What a wonderful Puerto Rico experience. Our guide. Manuel was entertaining and informative. He brought the Puerto Rican culture and history into the trip. The waterfall was breathtaking and worth the effort to get there. Jerry was responsive and even called me after the trip to see how everything went. I highly recommend using Jerry's Adventures!!
Jerry was awesome— great energy, super knowledgeable, VERY accommodating, and the hike and waterfall we did was gorgeous! The hike was a little strenuous, so be prepared, but absolutely worth it! The food after too, INCREDIBLE, everything about this experience was 5+ stars!!
The Hidden Waterfalls Hike Adventure 2.0 was "Type 2 fun" and made for a lifetime-memorable father-and-daughters experience. The waterfall is spectacular and a great payoff for hiking over some muddy trails and slippery rocks, roots, and boulders. We were in good hands at all times with the experienced Manuel who made sure we got up and back safely. We arrived at lunch at the end with smiles on our faces and hearty appetites.
This was a great tour! Felt very authentic and local. This waterfall hike was beautiful and our guide Manuel was amazing. I highly recommend this tour to all
Francisco and Manuel were great tour guides! The hike wasn't what I envisioned initially. It was more strenuous than 5 out of shape people expected but it was such an experience. Our guides were very helpful, personable and knowledgeable. They gave great information about Puerto Rico and were quite humorous. I've never done anything like this but now I can cross it off the bucket list.
Wow! What a fabulous day. Absoultely an off the beaten path experience! Manuel was an amazing tour guide, make sure to request him. His personality was great, started the trip with jokes, Trivia questions, and karaoke. We started by getting breakfast at a little local bakery, and had the amazing experience of meeting his cousins and nieces! We then arrived at the waterfall! No one, or even 2, but 3! And we literally climbed up them, "through the river, and along the woods, to Manuels secret waterfalls we go!" We were the only group at this site for the entire time, so definitely is not a tourist filled place, which is hidden gem experience we were looking for! Bring good watershoes, as you definitely walk over rocks and water. After an hour of cliff jumping, Manuel took us to a local restaurant, where he made the effort to call ahead so our food was ready upon arrival! So thoughful he was the entire trip! The food was deliciously flavored! On the ride home, we sang more karaoke. He said he had 1 more song to play, and it was a custom song he wrote during the excursion just for our trip! Wow, amazing! What a delightful day! If you want a local experience with no other tourists around, book this trip!
We booked the tour through TripAdvisor without knowing the details of what we signed up for. But the tour ended up great, the hiking was moderately difficult but most people should be able to do it. I did cliff jumping though never thought I would do it. The food after the tour was great!
Amazing time with an excellent tour guide! Would 100 percent recommend to do with family or friends. Bring extra footwear
The adventure was with Jerry himself and his son Gabriel. We started out at Mirador Gavillan overlooking Old San Juan and more. We then drove narrow, paved mountain roads where the views were pretty and the homes were authentic. Jerry is very personable, congenial, accommodating and knowledgeable about the area, flora and fauna, and Puerto Rico. He taught us about a tree that is the only one that blooms year round. Having grown up in NJ and worked in high end hospitality, customer centric in his prior career, he moved to PR when he was older, to have a family. We stopped at a hilltop cafe for drinks, snack and bathroom break. He knows the owners and the coffee and sweets were good. My son played connect 4 with his son. After our short break, we piled back into the van and drove down a very narrow driveway which led to a very steep gravel hill, to some level area. From there, we threw on our PFD. the land was owned by a friend of his. We hiked to our first water fall and pool. We were happy to stop here and swim because it was so beautiful with lush greenness around and cool water, but this was just the first waterfall. He led us up the waterfall. That’s why it’s important to wear closed toed shoes and ones that you’re willing to get wet and dirty. We began wading through the refreshingly cool water and up in the running water. He guides us where to put our feet and hands for the safest footing. Hint in the white and green lichen growing on the rocks in the running water. So cool. When we reached the top, I felt like what an explorer might feel seeing this beautiful river with richly covered forest on the banks. Each of us found our way through the river, stumbling but never falling on the rocks under neath and the water rushing at our ankles sometimes, hip deep pools, or scrambling over boulders. The adventure of finding my own path and dealing with the safe consequences was wonderful. We arrived at another waterfall after about what felt like a lot longer than the 15 minutes river walk. This one was bigger and higher than the first one. Jerry told us he wouldn’t push us to leave. Whenever we were ready to go he’d take us back. The cool spray of water hitting me from the waterfall was refreshing after the workout of walking the river. Next to the pool were different level natural jumping platforms ranging from 1-10 meters (3-30 feet). I’m over 60 and I was able to jump from the highest platform. I worked my way up and know how to swim pretty well, but standing there trying to concentrate on the landing and not listening to your head and heart was stressful and exhilarating. As my son put it “acute stress is emotionally when in a safe place.” We spent our time exploring the area, sitting in the rushing water on the rocks and under the falls, climbing the waterfall, and swimming in the pool. Though he said he would not push us to go, when clouds began to form Jerry advised us that when it began to rain water from the mountains would be rushing down the water and into the river we’d have to walk through again on our way back. We had been there for close to an hour and it was time to leave. The warm rain water mixed with the river water as we picked our way back through the forest and river, climbing up some rocks, down others, and in the rivers. I was acutely aware of the oneness of the universe and how much nature mixes between weather and human spirit. When we arrived at the van, he threw our PFDs into the back and he covered the seats with towels for us. We drove with us in the back and talked with the giddiness of an adventure. We talked about what we did, how exciting it was and beautiful. We stopped for lunch at a typical PR restaurant and we ate so much and so delicious— the oils with the lemon on the yucca, the smoothness of yaotia, the tenderness of the ripe plantains, the saltiness of the chicharon, the fried chicken, the combo of rice and beans, with the shredded meat on top. Whew we ate like kings. They didn’t have something I really wanted. You’ll have to ask him what it was. So he literally went across the street and bought 2 for me. That’s customer service you really don’t get on a regular tour, but with Jerry he will do whatever it takes to give you an adventure. On the drive back we all were in a food coma and exhausted from our adventure. Jerry and I talked like 2 old friends at a bar opining on Life, kids, Time and of course Puerto Rico. He loves his Isle of Enchantment and wants to share with you. If you’re up for an adventure book it.
Our family recently embarked on Jerrys Adventures' waterfall hiking tour in Puerto Rico, and it was an exhilarating experience that immersed us in the rainforest's natural beauty. Our two adolescent boys declared it one of their most memorable adventures, and my wife and along with other travelers agreed. The hike led us through lush, unspoiled trails, culminating at a breathtaking hidden waterfall. The journey was refreshing and rewarding. Our guide, Jerry, was exceptional—knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to everyone's safety and enjoyment. His passion for Puerto Rico's natural wonders enhanced the experience. The tour was well-organized, with convenient hotel pickup and drop-off, making it accessible and stress-free. We appreciated the opportunity to savor traditional Puerto Rican cuisine at a pastry shop during our outbound travel and a local restaurant after the hike, adding a cultural touch to our adventure. For families seeking an exciting and educational experience in Puerto Rico, Jerry's Adventures' waterfall hiking tour is a must-do. It's an adventure that combines physical activity, natural beauty, and cultural immersion, with memories for all ages.
Jerry was definitely the highlight of the tour! A very passionate, cheerful and knowledgeable guide. Of course the nature itself was stunning too, and we had lots of fun swimming in the natural pool and jumping off the cliff.
This hiking experience that led to a beautiful waterfall and serene environment was the highlight of my Puerto Rico trip. My goal was to come to PR to reset and recharge! Jerry and his team made sure we were safe, accounted for, taken care of and ensured we had a great time! I am repeat offender with visiting PR and moving forward I will be contacting Jerry for all of my excursions! He is the best HANDS DOWN!
Jerry was fun and exciting guide. Took us on a great hike with waterfalls and after that he took us to a local restaurant with a variety of local food, drinks and treats.
Jerry is personable, engaging, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and super accommodating! Today, we did a Hidden Gems Tour. Our tour guide, Jerry, was phenomenal. More often now when I travel, I do my best with my limited knowledge to learn if and how I can approach tourism in way that is supportive of the residents and the land. Jerry's response included a brief history, the present political landscape, encouragement to keep coming back, and an invitation to encourage others to visit. My understanding is that tourism that supports the local economy is encouraged. Our first stop was El Café 812. Phenomenal espresso y pastries! We took a hiking tour of beautiful waterfalls that exist on someone's private property, so it was just me, my husband, two lovely ladies, both of whom live in the states but are from Puerto Rico, and our guide. After the waterfalls, we stopped for an authentic Puerto Rican meal at Mimi's BBQ, a local family-owned restaurant. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Come to Puerto Rico. Take a tour with Jerry. Shop Local.
our experience was great and we made a new friend Jerry he is the best tour guide and i would definitely recommend, i would 100% do it again
Jerry was the best thing that’s happened since we got to Puerto Rico. From beginning to end he was nothing but kind to my husband and I. He knew we were celebrating our honeymoon and made sure we got the full experience I can’t say enough great things about Jerry. If you have the opportunity to be guided by him are you 1000% recommend!
Mr Jerry and our guide Manuel were amazing. They were super helpful, insightful, and accommodating. I proposed at the waterfall and luckily got the YES! They helped me plan the week before, which helped take a bunch of the pressure off of the situation. Manuel was a phenomenal guide and top notch camera man. I highly recommend going with Jerrys Adventures for any tour they provide. Let's just say the entire tour and day was "Mist-ical" emphasis on the Mist!
Jerry and Manuel were absolutely amazing. We had a massive group of 15 and they accommodated us perfectly. The hike was not easy but it was a lot of fun. We will def recommend.
Manuel was amazing, very funny and energetic! The hike itself was harder than I thought but worth it when you get to the waterfall. We had a wonderful time!!
It’s beautiful! My family had the blast and Manuel was the best guide. This Is definitely not a beginners trail, but all the fun hard work pays off at the end!
Manuel (MANWELL) was the greatest tour guide ever. I wish we could take him with us. Manuel was very professional, kind-hearted, and a bundle of joy from the beginning till the end. We stopped along the way to the hidden falls and took pictures overlooking the view of old San Juan. Also, we stopped and got sweet bread (Pan Sobao). We reached our destination of the falls. The view and the experience were breathtaking. It was so unreal but real at the same time. After hiking up and down the waterfall, we got caught in the rain, and it was nature at its purest and most beautiful to see. After completing the hike, we went to eat. The food was so delicious! On our way back to our drop-off spot, we did karaoke from Cardi B to Piles to Gasolina to Lion King Hakuna Matata/ I can't wait to be King to Perfect! Thank you for such an amazing experience. I highly recommend anyone complete this excursion.
Prepare yourself; this is no ordinary hike. It challenges your endurance and rewards you with the sheer beauty of the forest. We had Manuel as our host, and if you’re fortunate enough to get him, you’re in for a treat. From the personal pickup at our hotel to the drop-off, Manuel ensured we were having fun, learning about the history of Puerto Rico, and capturing every special moment for us. The hike itself isn’t difficult in terms of elevation; it involves continuous climbing and jumping over and through water. Bring very good shoes with traction but be prepared to get wet and fall—it’s inevitable. However, Manuel was always within arm’s reach, ready to assist on slippery rocks or steep inclines. As you venture deeper into the jungle, you’ll eventually reach the 130-foot waterfall and swimming hole. Take your time to soak in the beauty of this area. Swim, climb, and relax. For the most part, you and your group will be alone. We encountered a total of four other people on the trail during our adventure. If you’re looking for a unique experience at a hidden waterfall in the jungle, this tour is for you. Just ask for Manuel ;) P.S. It’s a great spot to propose, for those gentlemen considering popping the question.
My husband and I did this hike and I am so glad we did. Manuel was awesome and funny, he made all the visitors on the tour welcoming to one another it was no awkward moments thanks to him and his outgoing personality. Please do not hesitate to book this was the most fun that we had on our trip even though my hubby lost his phone when he dived in the water but none the less it was all worth it and we got a video of our adventure!!!
Our Tour Guide Jesus was so fun and sweet! Jesus brought us to a really good food place with amazing authentic puerto rican food! We truly felt safe and enjoyed our selves. Thank you again for everything!!
My family of 6 today went on this amazing hidden waterfall hike! Most of us have never hiked before. My kids are 14, 11, 8 and 5 and Manuel our tour guide was amazing!! He knew so much about Puerto Rico and the history, when we asked questions along the way! And during the hike he helped whoever needed it along the way, especially our little guy! He also showed my 8 year old more adventurous ways to go, since he was really into it!! The hike isn’t easy at all, but it’s a fun challenge and worth it! I definitely would recommend this hike to anyone looking for a full fun day adventure!!
We had an incredible day with our tour guide Manuel. Manuel made it his mission to make sure we had the best time. It was a 45 minute ride from San Juan to our destination, which was filled with karaoke, trivia, who wants to be a millionaire style games- all while looking at the beautiful scenery around us! The hike was short and easier than expected, though some spots were slippery and a little tricky, but Manuel was there to make sure everyone was safe and having a good time. The waterfall was INCREDIBLE! And swimming in the spring below it was such a treat. Manuel let us hang out for as long as we wanted before heading back down. Beautiful hike. He also took us to what he called “your grandma in Puerto Rico is cooking for you”- and it was just that. A beautiful spread of authentic PR food all for just $12! It was one of the highlights of the day. He gave us an option to skip, and I'm so glad we didn’t. Manuel was also taking pictures and videos of us all day, and made fun little video as memorabilia of our day, and of course sent all the individual photos. So grateful someone was able to take pictures while we just got to enjoy! We had a blast with Manuel and our group, and with the price being so reasonable, I would say this is a do not miss opportunity.
Best adventure of lifetime. Manuel was amazing! “THIS IS NOT A BEGINNERS HIKE” so true! We are still talking about how much fun we had and memories we built. My 77 year old dad did it. We are thankful for Manuel for guiding and helping him. Definitely will do it again.
The waterfalls were amazing. Worth the hike for sure. Our guide was patient and helpful. However the trip was way longer than we expected with a mandatory lunch at a fast food restaurant after the hike. We drove our rental to meet the tour 45 minutes that morning and were away for a total of 7 hours. Would not book again because we had no time in the later part of the day for anything else.
We had Manuel as our tour guide and it was by far the best experience we had in Puerto Rico! He was so personable and knowledgeable, he made the tour and our trip! We would highly recommend Jerry Adventures to anyone who wants to get outside of San Juan and experience the beauty of Puerto Rico!
We had an incredible time with our guide Jesus. He gave us insights into the local culture and made us feel very comfortable. Conversation flowed very easily. Had a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant.
We couldn’t have asked for more on our tour with Manuel! He was communicative from the start via text, letting us know when he was on the way to pick us up. During the drive he kept us laughing and entertained with trivia about Puerto Rico. The hike, as advertised, is off the beaten path and NOT for beginners. We are both very athletic and physically active, but lack hiking experience and felt the hike was excitingly challenging. There is slippery mud and rocks and often had to use our hands to climb up and over rocks and tree trunks. You will most definitely get your feet wet, there is no avoiding it, so be prepared to have wet feet/shoes/socks. We wore trail shoes and could probably have benefited from shoes with a bit more flexibility that grab/mold to the shape to the rocks. The waterfall is breath taking!!! I definitely recommend going for a swim and soaking in the beauty of the fall. Lunch was tasty and the drive back was entertaining, as our guide sang us karaoke the whole drive back. He took picture/video and composed a wonderful slide show for us. Truly exceeded all of our expectations. Could not recommend more, especially if your looking for an adventure more personal and less “touristy”.
WoW !! Amazing day with Manuel . The entire day from pick up to drop off was the absolute BEST adventure we have ever taken. Manuel is a great tour guide . The views on the hike were breathtaking and at the top a beautiful waterfall . Manuel was very helpful to each one of us with traversing the rocky climb up and down . We feel like we made a friend ! Thanks Manuel we will be back !!
This was an amazing hike. Our tour guide Jesus was great, full of energy, funny and made the experience enjoyable. Waterfall was amazing. The food at the end of the hike was delicious and affordable . If you're looking for a short, semi- hard hike..this is one for you!
This was such an amazing experience. The hike was moderate- so easy enough to get through it but difficult enough to know you are hiking for sure! There were so many cool pic spots, the nature was unmatched. We experienced some rainforest rains that were magical! And the tour guide… JESUS! He def took the wheel.. no pun intended! Jesus was amazing! He knew so many tips and tricks to help with tough spots on the hike. He was patient, personable, funny, and most importantly knowledgeable of the hike and the history of Puerto Rico! But getting to the waterfall and actually seeing it up close and being showered by the fall…. An experience that can only be felt in its fullness, by experiencing it yourself. I plan to come back and bring someone with me to experience it and I will be requesting Jesus again! Thank you for making my first solo hike experience unforgettable! 🖤
It was an amazing experience. The waterfall was beautiful. It was quite the accomplishment making it. After the event we went to eat at this awesome restaurant .Jesus was a great host.
An amazing hike with incredible views and a very friendly guide. Felt very accomplished after making it to the falls and the dip in the cool crisp water was the icing on the cake.
Fantastic adventure with Manuel! My husband and I enjoyed the adventure! Also, lunch on the way back was excellent!
This hike was absolutely amazing!!! The waterfall was amazing!!! Jesus my tour guide was amazing!!!!
I took a tour to the Falls with teens under the guidance of Jesus. I was worried about the weather since rain was in the forecast, but it seemed to have its own weather in the Rainforest, The hike to the waterfalls was difficult in some places, but it was relatively short, The water was not cold and being hit by the falls was a great experience. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area, and my son and I learned a lot. The restaurant we stopped at on the way back was excellent local food. I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes adventure.
10 out of 10!!! Our tour guide name was Jesus! So what could go wrong right, lol!!! We were picked up from our hotel, the hike was intermediate, not easy but not too difficult. The 130 ft. Water fall was breathtaking! afterwards we stop for authentic PR food. Then was dropped off back at our hotel. I’m not the adventurous type of person but this was the highlight to our first trip to Puerto Rico!!! My wife and I decide to bring the kids and we’re definitely booking Jerry’s again!!!!
This was definitely a trip I recommend! I was hesitant on doing a tour guide but Manuel was perfect! Very funny, very knowledgeable and just a good spirit! The waterfall was amazing and he let us take our time there to take it all in! Finished with some hilarious karaoke so yes do this trip!
Jesus has an excellent customer service great attitude, he took care of us very well, is a lot of hiking however the place is beautiful, will do it again..!!
Manuel our tour guide was great! Full of knowledge and so fun! The hike to waterfall was untouched and beautiful! My first real hike & would rate it a moderate trail, not for beginners unless you are physically fit. The waterfall was breathtaking! Manuel took pictures of us & even put together a video of us along the hike. The restaurant he took us to afterwards had authentic Puerto Rican food and was delicious. Highly recommend! Would highly recommend/ must have: Water shoes with semi thick soles & being physically fit
We had an amazing time ! Jesus was informative , kept everyone entertained on the ride down , very patient and made us all feel like family !! It was a small group so that was even better . It is a moderate hiking tour so prepare yourself to climb over rocks , falling trees and bodies of water .. The waterfall was absolutely amazing ! If you want a hike with adventure and to see a beautiful waterfall I highly recommend this tour !!
This is a top notch experience! Yes, you get to see one of the highest and most beautiful waterfalls in PR, but this is not an easy hike there. Make sure you wear hiking shoes with good grip because a lot of the rocks are very slippery that you have to climb over. Jesus was an excellent tour guide who offered awesome history and humor the whole tour! Highly recommend this to hike to whoever is adventurous and wants to see a place where only the locals know about!
