Old San Juan Walking Tour

This was a great introduction to the area and its history. We covered a lot of ground in 3 hours, and I saw more than I would have on my own.

The guide was very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of information about Puerto Rico. A great experience.

Excellent overview of Puerto Rico and San Juan David is very professional and friendly. He made sure everyone in the group (6) could hear and keep up. He provided water, which some of us (me) didn't realize we needed. His explanations are clear and the tour route was great. He was careful to use shade as much as possible. Thank you!!

Our tour guy was David. He was amazing! I learned a lot and I saw a lot of beautiful sights. We got to see the sun set on the entrance of Old San Juan. Recommend this 10/10

Prepare to walk a lot which was fine but no stopping and not allowed to stop a buy water the water they provide is the little baby water and it’s not cold. Paid for 3 ppl only 2 went bc one got sick no refund given

David was fantastic. He managed to make the tour entertaining for our 12-year-old girls and 2 adults interested in the history and stories from PR. He was so considerate on offering bathroom stops, resting spots in the shade, and trying to maintain a comfortable walking pace for our group. 10 out of 10 recommend!

If you want to get to know the history about important landmarks in San Juan compressed in a short amount of time this is the your for you.

The guide seemed obsessed with talking about sex, brothels, and sexually transmitted diseases. There were parts of the tour that were informative, but continuing to circle back to the brothels of San Juan, should have made this tour for adults only. My 13 and 17-year-old sons were included on this tour and some of the content as well as walking down. The red light district was absolutely inappropriate and this tour should absolutely be for 18 and over. I was absolutely appalled and embarrassed that my sons witnessed what they did. Even after the tour, my son’s remarked that wow, the tour guide is really obsessed with brothels, etc.. I would not recommend this tour at all! I wish I could get a refund!

We booked this for our honeymoon. It was our first full day in San juan. The day before we explored San juan on our own but we didn't know where we were going or the significance of each monument. We got to the meeting site and planned to cancel the tour that morning because of the weather. It was pouring down rain but when our guide walked up, he assured us that it would pass. We waited for 5 minutes and the rain stopped. I'm glad we listened! It rained on and off but we found cover for a few minutes before we walked again throughout the tour. The walking tour was very informative. We learned about the history of PR and all of the local spots to visit. Hearing about PR's rich history makes me understand why Puerto Ricans are so patriotic to their country and why they rep it so hard. They should. i have such an appreciation for this island and our tour guide for showing us around. It was a small group which made the experience more enjoyable. Everyone was friendly. It was 8k steps so wear comfy shoes with good traction because of the cobblestones. Other than that, i would book this tour again and again.

David was an excellent guide! He brought a little humor to the historical perspective. The walk was well paced and he made sure to stop in shaded areas for comfort. I'd definitely recommend this tour.

This was surprisingly fun. I grew up here and I learned stuff I had no clue about. Ask about Doña Fela, the mayor of San Juan, because she wasn’t mentioned in our tour and she deserves her flowers.

Old San Juan is one of those places you have to experience in person. Walking through the colorful streets, historic buildings, plazas, and old city walls makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another time. I loved the beautiful Spanish architecture, the vibrant colors, local shops, restaurants, and the incredible views of the water. There is so much history around every corner, and it’s easy to spend several hours simply walking around and taking everything in. I especially enjoyed stopping for some authentic Puerto Rican food and taking my time exploring the different streets and plazas. The atmosphere is lively, welcoming, and full of Puerto Rican culture. If you're visiting Puerto Rico for the first time, I definitely recommend making Old San Juan part of your trip. Give yourself plenty of time to walk around, explore, eat, take pictures, and enjoy the history. 🇵🇷❤️ A must-visit in Puerto Rico!

The walking tour was excellent—deeply informative and grounded in solid history and facts. Our guide combined impressive knowledge of the city’s past with vivid storytelling, helping us see familiar streets from a completely new perspective. It really opened our eyes to layers of history we’d never noticed before and gave us a much richer understanding and appreciation of the city.

The tour started on time. David arrived right on schedule at the meeting point, introduced himself immediately, and offered us water. Throughout the walk it was clear that he knows the subject well and genuinely enjoys what he does. The route is demanding: you should be ready to walk for about 1 hour 30 to 1 hour 40 minutes. If you are going with someone who cannot handle a long walk, think it through first. A very good tour. I recommend it.

We visited many sights and learned history of the site and Puerto Rico while walking. The tour was a good pace with things to see while we were enjoying some shade from the morning sun

The two was great, even for old man. I signed up for the 930 tour, but it was canceled in the accommodated me at the 430 tour. Everything was great.

The experience was great! We had an easy meet up outside of Starbucks. Trip price/value was good as our guide, David, was very knowledgeable and provided great historical information while being very kind and funny. There are tons of opportunities for great photos. Please note that the tour covers a lot of ground. The length of the tour, combined with the heat and humidity and long distances walking the hills of old San Juan is worth noting. We did the afternoon tour (it was 95 degrees F in late August at 5 PM) and you should prepare to be fueled up (not hungry) and well hydrated prior to the tour. I would recommend having extra water/electrolytes.

It was a good experience, we do recommend doing it. The only downfall is that the tour doesn't end at starting point but David was great! We walked back 20 min with him though.

Old San Juan is hilly (& hot in summer). Our guide did a great job and IMO OSJ and its pastel-painted buildings is beautiful. Terrific knowledge of the interesting history of PR and of OSJ. Well worth the money.

Solo travel and did the morning tour. David was an amazing tour guide! He brought so much culture and history on Puerto Rico. By the time the tour ended, the streets were filled with people. Highly recommend morning tour, so you avoid the busier time of day. 10/10 experience highly recommend!

If you’re looking for an experience that covers all of the major sights while providing great insight into the city’s history and culture, this tour is an excellent choice. It’s a fantastic way to see the highlights and get a true feel for Old San Juan.

David was our tour guide and he was great. Very informative tour that I would suggest to anyone who is visiting San Juan for the first time. You will cover a lot of ground so wear comfortable shoes, but the 2+ hour tour didn’t seem that long because of all the stops and hustle and bustle going on around you. 100% would recommend to anyone.

This tour was an awesome mix of all things Old San Juan. It was such a sweet experience to learn the historical background and gain an understanding of how to navigate the area. I traveled to Puerto Rico solo, and chose to book this tour first thing so I could have an idea of the area. After the tour I felt connected to the space, and confident enough to get around on my own.

Our tour guild David was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had great time touring around and learned something about San Juan.
