Our guide Roberto was awesome. He was so knowledgeable about the locations we saw and gave us a lot laughs along the way. It was a perfect way to see the city and the timing of the tour as perfect.

So much history to learn, wish it was 3 hours!! One of the best tours I've had so far and you will get your walking steps in!!! Definitely recommend!!
The guide was on the phone the ENTIRE time. We were only 3 people… should have been an easy crowd. It seems like he genuinely was knowledgeable, but even when I, THE GUEST, tried to engaged him with questions, he would answer in one line and get back to his phone. Probably got 5 min of content from him. Its like he didn't want to be there. He ended the tour 30 min early. I reached out to the company to let them know & they didn't even get back to me to apologize. You can do this tour yourself by just walking around.
Our first time doing a walking tour and we were throughly impressed. Our guide Antonio did an excellent job explaining the history and significance of the buildings in old San Juan, while managing to keep the larger group on schedule to get good sunset photos. Overall I would recommend!
Sunset was a perfect time to go on tour! Not too hot, lighting was great for pictures. Mellow time frame for Old San Juan streets to avoid the big crowds too. Antonio had a great twist to history that was very informative 👍
It was nice and the guide was nice too. I highly recommend going on this tour and you can’t go wrong here.
Tour guide was very informative. Very detailed with historical information pertaining to architecture of buildings, history of Old San Juan and so much more! Our small group even took an intermission for drinks at a cozy lounge like setting! Our guide Antonio is very knowledgeable of Old San Juan history!
So amazing and so was our guide tour. Must be prepared to walk. Learnt so many things within the island
This tour was awesome. Roberto was very knowledgeable and could recite fact after fact at each spot that he brought us to. It was a beautiful night and the history was very interesting!
Be prepared for a long walk on cobblestone and narrow sidewalks. Bring your water and enjoy the scenes.Roberto was very knowledgeable and funny.
Realized this tour was not in Costa Rica but in Puerto Rico. Ironically the meeting point existed in both places. Contacted Viator and Operator immediately thru the app to ask for a XC and credit and didn't get anything. Also texted tour guide directly and didn't hear back. Booked it same day, so they wouldn't accept my cancellation. I have told Viator their search tool needs to split out City/Place with Country to avoid mistakes like this. The filter is too limited. I have used Viator a lot but will now look to book city tours, etc. with other companies. Tour operator said I could use the tour at a future date but I have no plans to visit Puerto Rico so that's really not helpful.
Unfortunately my flight was delayed by several hours and I wasn’t able to make it. I did try to contact them directly and through Viator in the morning to try to reschedule for the same tour the next day but have received no response. I understand it is non-refundable, but things happen outside of anyone’s control and it would be nice to offer some flexibility in this circumstance.
It was good walking tour with a passionate and knowledgable guide, but I knocked off a star because (1) it was too many people, I think a smaller group would have been better (2) between the weak mic and the guide's heavy accent, it was hard to hear and understand him most of the time. Also it could probably have been 30-45 minutes shorter.
It was great learning about the history and culture of San Juan. I think there could have been a few more sites to see. But overall enjoyed our tour guide and what we learned.
Roberto was amazing! A really personable guide, with a sense of humor and so full of stories! One skill that was much appreciated was flexibility with the weather. It was cloudy, but then the sky cleared a little so we could at lease see some sunset color with Morro in the background. Then, it started raining. We took shelter for a few minutes but then Roberto told the sky to stop raining — and miraculously/coincidentally, it pretty much stopped raining and so we continued with our tour. Highly recommend this tour for getting the lay of the land.
The tour guide was amazing! He gave us such a rich history of the city! I would recommend it to anyone I know!
Spent too much time doing nothing...did not give good history...missed so many areas...wasted so much time...I was embarrassed as I promised a great experience like the one I had last year...we left the tour...I couldn't take it any longer
This sunset walking tour was a good way to get acquainted with Old San Juan. The views were beautiful, and the history and stories shared throughout the tour made the city interesting. Our guide was incredibly informative and provided a unique perspective of San Juan. It was a fairly easy walk (with the right shoes). A perfect mix of history, culture, and unforgettable scenery!
Antonio was an exceptional guide and one of the highlights of our visit to Old San Juan. What made this tour stand out was that he went far beyond simply pointing out landmarks and reciting dates. Antonio masterfully blended Puerto Rico's rich history with insightful discussions about politics, policy, culture, and the forces that have shaped the island over time. His depth of knowledge was truly impressive, and he had a remarkable ability to make complex historical events engaging, relevant, and easy to understand. Every stop along the way felt meaningful because he connected the stories of the past to the realities of today. Beyond being incredibly knowledgeable, Antonio was personable, engaging, and generous with his time, answering questions thoughtfully and tailoring the conversation to the interests of the group. If you're looking for a walking tour that offers real context, fascinating storytelling, and a deeper understanding of Puerto Rico, I cannot recommend Antonio highly enough. This was far more than a sightseeing tour—it was an immersive learning experience that gave us a greater appreciation for Old San Juan and Puerto Rico as a whole. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended.
Our walking tour with Antonio was easily one of the highlights of our time in San Juan. Well paced, wonderful energy, and incredibly insightful. I’m grateful to have learned the things that he shared with us. Highly recommend to anyone visiting! Be sure to book this, you won’t regret it. Thank you so much for this experience, and for going above and beyond by walking us to see the Bad Bunny mural! ❤️
Melanie was amazing. Learned a ton about the culture and her delivery was on point. Great spots. Super jumping off point to explore San Juan. Do it.
Antonio did really good he take us and tour us very carefully and informed everything about the history i loved it.
Antonio was great. We learned so much about not only architecture but the real ins and outs of Puerto Rican history and current events. Only complaint is that it was a little difficult to hear at times due to ambient noise and size of group.
Antonio was amazing!! Super attentive, very knowledgeable, and a great guide. His English was great!
Our tour guide, Antonio, was extremely knowledgeable about the history, architecture, culture, and modern day life of Old San Juan. He kept the conversation engaging at a relaxed pace. This is a great experience if you want to take an easy stroll of Old San Juan at sunset while learning a thing or two about the city.
Best tour of our whole trip! Our tour guide, Jorge, was fantastic - informative, friendly, humorous, helpful. He engaged us in conversation and was extremely knowledgeable when we pelted him with random questions. We enjoyed the walk, the weather was beautiful, and the view stunning. I feel like I understand San Juan's history so much better now. So glad we booked this tour.
Super informative. Covered a lot of ground and learned a ton about Puerto Rico's history and architecture.
Antonio was a wonderful tour guide and took us through the beautiful history and architecture of old San Juan
I had a wonderful experience! Old San Juan is a beautiful place and it has so much history. I took some amazing pictures.
Very knowledgeable and passionate tour guide. Lots of history about San Juan and architecture, and some info about current happenings.
We did the tour with our kids (8 and 9) and loved it. The timing was perfect, ending right at sunset, and the cooler evening weather made it much more comfortable. The history was fascinating, especially learning it in the exact places where it happened. Our guide Adrian was friendly and engaging, and even kept our kids interested. The walking pace was slower than we’re used to, but that made it great for sightseeing, photos, and accessible for just about everyone. Highly recommend!
Antonio is very knowledgeable and he always answers fully. I recommend him highly. I will look for other tours on this site
I definitely would recommend that this tour.It was amazing. It was very educational and I really enjoyed the tour guide. If you were going to puerto rico, this is one tour, you don't want to miss, but be prepared to do a lot of walking. So we're comfortable shoes
I enjoyed the tour provided by Adrian. He offered a lot of great history about the island of Puerto Rico and he took us to a handful of notable landmarks around Old San Juan. The pace of the tour was good—we learned a lot and certainly got our steps in, but it did not feel rushed at all.
Fantastic tour! Can't imagine visiting Old San Juan without this experience. Adrian was a wonderful guide, funny and very knowledgeable. A must do!!
Very friendly. Answered all questions. Great walk. Bring water. Beautiful views. Show up early and walk all the streets.
Your guy was cool but the over tour quality was not the tour company needs to provide everyone with head phones to listen in on the tour guy really hard to listen with the street noice + was looking forward to the fort Castillo experience was very plain and not exciting
Great time , filled with history and culture . Excellent knowledgable guide. Would highly recommend !
My wife and I really enjoyed the tour with Adrian! He was so personable and knowledgeable about the history and culture of Puerto Rico. As an added bonus, he gave his presentation first in English then in Spanish for those on the tour from nearby Latin American countries. Taking a twilight walking tour of Old San Juan was the highlight of our vacation😎.
I loved hearing about the history of Puerto Rico. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and animated in his story telling. Great tour.
We came away with some understanding of Old San Juan's history an appreciation for legends and their significance to present day PR The proliferation of the chickens continues to intrigue. Many thanks to Anton.for sharing his research and knowledge on this well organized and presented tour. It was a special evening.
This was a lovely, leisurely walk around Old San Juan with Antonio, a guide with a wealth of knowledge about architecture, history, and Puerto Rican culture. Highly recommend for all ages.
It was interesting hearing that blacks/ darker skinned people are not valued in Puerto Rico due to war time; however, the people enjoy their music, food and culture. Such a shame that people must be teaching their children to hate.
Not as described; tour guide was nice but focused on the wrong things. Slow. We missed the sunset which was the whole point of the tour.
Antonio was incredibly knowledgeable about standard PR history and culture and so much more. His enthusiastic and passionate presentation kept my family fascinated and engaged throughout the entire tour even though we had heavy rain at points during the tour. He clearly loves Puerto Rico and loves teaching people about Puerto Rico. This was one of our best tours EVER, and that's saying a lot because we travel a lot and have high tour standards. I highly recommend touring with Antonio. His tour approach is informative and refreshing!
