Mitchell was the best tour guide! So kind, knowledgeable, and energetic! He made us all super comfortable and very accommodating for our group’s needs. Would recommend this tour 100%! So much fun and would love to be able to do it all again. Recommend water shoes and comfortable clothing/bathing suits. Our El Yunque experience was amazing. Our guide, Brian, was fantastic. He is so passionate about the rain forest, from birds to ferns and flowers. He really made the day go smoothly. We didn’t have e to bring our phones. He took all the pictures and videos and sent them to us (no charge). After the rainforest he took us to have an authentic lunch at Luquillo Beach… food was exceptional! Also, loved that we had a smaller group! Highly recommend and ask for Brian Franco as your guide!

This tour was outstanding. Everything clicked. It was easy to book and the tour operator kept me well updated. The night before our guide, Brain Franco, reached personally and made sure everything was set for pick up. I knew exactly what to bring and what to expect. The scenery was beautiful. The river was clear and crisp and it was exciting to climb over big rocks, power down the water slides, and jump off the rope swings. I'm 58 and had never done that before despite spending plenty of time outdoors. Our group formed an instant camaraderie - we all felt lucky to be spend the day together. All of that was due to the energy and spirit of Brian Franco. He is a remarkable guide who put us all at ease, watched out for all our needs, and helped us have fun. I learned a lot about the birds and plants of El Yunque, as well as the overall culture and happenings around Puerto Rico. My wife was in San Juan for a conference so I went on the trip solo but always felt like part of the group. I couldn't have had a better day. I highly recommend this tour and especially our guide Brian Franco.

We booked the tour 1 day earlier and receive confirm texts the evening before. Our guide Mitchell is very friendly. Having a good time with a small group of 6 ppl. The trail is fun and unique! Recommend!

We had an amazing day in the rainforest with Hidden Excursions. From pick-up to drop-off, Shaly (our guide) was phenomenal: knowledgeable about the rainforest animals, plants, and culture. She was professional and fun. And she made everything feel safe. She’d be wonderful with those who lean toward adventure AND those who are more cautious. And she had great recommendations for lunch. The tour groups are a maximum of 6, but we ended up just being the 2 of us and Shaly. We can’t recommend the company or Shaly enough. If you’re going to El Yunque while in Puerto Rico, go with Hidden Excursions and ask for Shaly!

This was such a great day. Mitchell was the absolutely best, so personable and a true expert on so many things. The small group setting was nice and El Yunque is truly memorable.

Andrea, our guide, was amazing! She had excellent communication. She was on time to pick us up and drop us off. He was able to provide us with so much background on the island, and the Taino culture. She was very thoughtful when some in our group found the trail challenging; great guidance. So much knowledge on plants and fauna. The river area was beautiful. Andrea took wonderful pictures of our group. We stands by Luquillo beach, we ate at #38 delicious , authentic PR cuisine. I highly recommend those tour and Andrea for your next trip!

This was the best tour we did while in Puerto Rico. Our tour guide, Brian, picked us up from our AirBnb in San Juan drove us to a less-traveled to part of El Yunque. The hike was moderately challenging, but my 87 year old father was able to do it. Brian was amazing! His knowledge of the rainforest ecosystem was impressive and his thoughtfulness toward my Dad throughout the day was endearing. Our hike took us to a waterfall pool of the Fajardo river, where a few of us stayed while others continued the journey up to the natural waterslide. This was an experience we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. Truly unique in its beauty and experiences. I can’t recommend this tour enough, and you MUST request Brian as your guide!

This was the highlight of our vacation! The natural waterslide, pools, and scenery...oh my! Brian, our tour guide's passion for giving tours, knowledge of the rainforest, and preservation of the flora and fauna was very evident. He was very encouraging and kept safety in the forefront at all times. You can't beat having a small group of 6 as it made for more intimate experience and worry-free transportation. Lunch at Luquillo was perfect and a great ending to an amazing day. I would do this again in a heartbeat! I do recommend that participants have good balance and leg strength to handle the more strenuous parts of the tour.

8 hr total trip rain forest was great did a lot of water activities, stopped at Loquillo beach for lunch. Six total people. Guide was Andrea who was fantastic, guided us through it all, very bubbly and great knowledge of the entire island. Fantastic.

Ricky was 10/10! He made the experience so much fun. Would recommend this smaller group tour. We did the early tour with Ricky and despite it being early af we beat the crowds and left as everyone was getting there! Don’t forget to wear water shoes or shoes! We didn’t need bug spray!

The small group tour with Shaly was truly a highlight of my and my friend's Puerto Rico Trip. We started early in the day, and were the first ones on the trail and made it to the natural slide first! The hike was a bit intense, but Shaly was with us every step of the way to give us guidance on how to safely complete all the activities from the slide, to the jumps, to the rope swing. Despite her always prioritizing our safety above all else, Shaly was so personable that it felt has if we had gone on a hike with an additional friend rather than solely a guide. The entire day was truly unforgettable.

We booked this last minute and dealing with difficult weather conditions, but Mitchell still did an amazing job as our guide. He had tons of knowledge and Puerto Rico and its environments. He also brings a great attitude and vibe which made the trip that much more memorable. Definitely recommend using him as a guide.

Last minute rain required Plan B route in the rainforest! Brian was an amazing tour guide…taking pictures, telling the history and sharing all info about the plants and wildlife! Loved this experience!

Highlight of our whole trip! Beautiful hike through El Yunque through water, tree roots, and trails. All beautiful flora and fauna that Brian was so good to point out. He was such a good guide. He had us laughing and was so knowledgeable. We did two awesome natural water slides and loved the rope swing. It was such an awesome hike. Brian recommended the best lunch spot in Luquillo after. Such a perfect day!

I can’t thank Andrea enough. She was extremely kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. She is great storyteller and she made sure that I was well taken care of during the trip to the rainforest. She literally guided me every step of the way. She took some amazing photos too and took me to a great restaurant in Luquillo. Even when I had problems with my cell phone, she literally went above and beyond to help me out. I really thank you for everything Andrea! What an incredible day!

Had an exceptional time with Hidden Excursions visiting El Yunque. If you get a chance, ask to be guided by Solomon (featured in the video of him teaching us about Puerto Rico’s native tree). He was patient, kind, and full of energy as he guided us through the 30-45 min hike to the natural waterslide, which was adrenal spiking in the most fun way possible. Definitely if possible, wear water hiking shoes as you’ll definitely need to be ready for a good up and down walk. Finishing the day at the beach was also such a nice touch. 10/10 recommended trying to do a smaller group tour like this one to go at your own pace and have a more intimate experience with your travelers and tour guide. Don’t forget to tip your tour guides, it means a lot to them!! Give Solomon a raise, he’s incredible at his job!! The CEO and Solomon were extremely communicative and the price was more than reasonable for the entire experience.

This should definitely be on everyone's list to do while in Puerto Rico. We had Mitchell as our tour guide and he was simply the best. So kind and knowledgeable. I would say the whole experience is definitely not for beginners. Bring shoes with good grip and that can get soaking wet. The natural water slides and rope swing - so.much.fun.!!! Highly recommend!

This was a most incredible experience! Shaly was fantastic, blending in information about the rainforest with guidance on how to move through the rocks, all in a super personalized way. The views were amazing! We did the natural rock slide, took a jump off a rock into the river, and did the rope swing. There was sun and rain (rainforest, duh!) and it was the most perfect day! I highly recommend!

El Yunque was beautiful and Bryan was excellent. The small group tour was ideal and adopters us more time to enjoy the adventure - much better than the large group “machines” that were polishing people through. Highly recommended!

My fiancé and I had amazing time during this tour. Brian our tour guide pick us up from our hotel and drove us to El Yunque he is an excellent and knowledgeable about natures/ birds. We learned a lot and have fun time. We highly recommend him!

11/10 experience! Our tour guide, Brian was awesome! He picked us up at the place we were staying and the ride was very comfortable. Although we left our phones in the van, Brian made sure to capture amazing photos and videos and was able to make the experience personal for each couple. We went to an amazing waterfall and swimming spot with natural waterslides. Afterwards, we all went back to Luquillo and were given the option to roam the kioskos or to eat together at a place he recommended. We went with his recommendation and were not disappointed. I would book this experience again and highly recommend to others!

We had a really wonderful time with Andrea. She was so caring and thoughtful and knowledgeable. She was also fun and very entertaining! She took us through el Yunque step by step and taught us so much history and shared what I imagine is a really unique and restorative perspective of nature and adventure. She even took and shared photos for us so we could focus on being in the moment and really enjoy all the nature. Finally, she gave us a huge list of recommendations afterwards to help us for the rest of our trip. We were all so glad to have her as our guide, I think the experience would have been very different with some of the other guides we saw on the trails, but we wouldn’t have had it any other way. I don’t normally do reviews, but I feel like she really did earn a great one so I hope it did her justice.

💗🫧🌺🤍SHALY🤍🌺🫧💗 was the BEST tour guide I could’ve asked for! I’m traveling solo and she made sure to show me a wonderful time. Her tour was interactive (I got to touch some cool touch-reactive plants and eat a flower!) and she knew the answer to every question my group asked. I don’t typically care for a large amount of historical information on tours that I’ll forget later, but everything she explained was easily digestible, interesting, and relevant to the times. HIGHLY recommend this tour; the small group ensured I was never left behind (I’m a slow hiker), and Shaly’s really great about repeating instructions on how to climb difficult parts and how to go slide the waterfall/jump. Even if you don’t book this tour (which you should), really consider the size of the group you’re going with. I imagine it’s a lot riskier in safety/being left behind with a big group. Loved this one and I would totally do this again (as long as Shaly is my tour guide)!!!

The jungle and river are really cool, and the cliff jumping, rope swing, and water slides made it unforgettable. Our tour guide Brian was awesome, super knowledgeable and fun! This excursion was incredible! Our tour guide, Andrea, was very accommodating with your pickup, was very knowledgeable about Peurto Rico and the rainforest, and is clearly passionate about her work and nature. She took her time sharing details and history of the rainforest and made sure we were safe yet having fun throughout our hike. She took plenty of great photos for our group and ensured we were there early enough before the crowds came. I would 100% recommend this excursion again and highly appreciate Andrea's energy throughout the day!

Listen to your informative and instructional ‘AWESOME’ Guide. Respect the Rainforest, as humans are sometimes ‘Nature’s’ enemy, sadly and unfortunately. Wear good and sturdy sneakers ( footwear). Slow and safe. Safe IS slow. We are the Rainforest’s guests. Play, enjoy and respect. The Rainforest will inevitably be within the top - of your lifetime experiences. Do NOT litter. Picking up after oneself shows good character.

This was a fantastic tour with an even better guide (Andrea). Family of six with kids ranging from 9-17. Andrea was kind and accommodating. She was knowledgeable about the area, wildlife and history. We never felt rushed. The waterslides and rope swings were fun for everyone. Highly recommend the tour and Andrea.

This was the highlight of our trip. We got picked up at our hotel at around 8:20 to start the day. After gathering the whole crew, we drove about 40 mins to El Yunque. Along the way, our guide Mitchel gave a lot of details about the area, fun facts, and great conversations! The tour was incredible. It was a nice trail to start before things got a bit more adventurous! A lot of climbing and walking but it was so worth it. The nature was beautiful, the waterfalls were so fun and refreshing after the hike, and Mitchell was amazing. Not only was it fun but he was super educational about the plants, trees, animals, and other things around El Yunque. He had so many facts to share that it helped appreciate everything even more. After leaving el Yunque, we went out to Luquillo for some lunch and shopping. We ate some local food that was incredible then walked over to the beach for a little before leaving (we don’t swim here). Afterwards, headed on back and dropped off at around 3-4PM. Definitely recommend this excursion when visiting San Juan or the area! It’s also nice since it’s a smaller group, making it more intimate! THANK YOU MITCHEL!! some things i recommend: bring a bathing suit. I hiked in water shoes and it was perfect as you WILL get your shoes wet and you WILL need shoes. bring a towel. bring sunscreen just in case. for the hike, wear workout clothes that’s easy to change out of (i wore leggings and it was tricky to get in and out of). bring water + a change of clothes!

Mitchell made our El Yunque tour an unforgettable part of our Puerto Rico trip. We had a really good time, avoided unnecessary lines, got to experience the forest in a meaningful way, and made memories we’ll definitely keep. I had the pleasure of enjoying my tour with Guide Andrea, she was such a sweetie and made our tour as special as possible, she has a lot of interesting information not just about the island but also folklore. We got there at an early time before it got crowded. If you go to El Yunque, I 10/10 recommend the smaller grouped tour.

Best experience of our entire trip! I spent hours selecting from all of the different tour options and feel fortunate that I chose correctly. A small group is the only way to do this and Ricky was the best guide educating us about Puerto Rico and the rainforest. His dinner recommendations were spot on as well!

Ricky was our guide and was excellent! He was very knowledgeable and shared info in a fun and engaging way for all of us. He was warm, funny, and cared for us especially as we navigated some slippery and steep spots. The rain forrest was beautiful. We all highly recommend the excursion with Ricky!
