Juan our guide was very informative and we had a wonderful tour. He gave us lot of local information too!

Juan was an amazing guide! He told us about all the different plants and animals in the area and about the rich history of the area. I highly recommend!
Great sampler for El Yunque and knowledgeable host who was quizzing us on the trail on the history of Puerto Rico.
Our tour guide, Juan, made our El Yunque experience amazing! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire tour fun and memorable. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this tour!
I had a fantastic experience visiting El Yunque. Since it was low season, I ended up having what felt like a private VIP tour with just me and my guide, Juan. Juan was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Throughout the trip, he explained not only the history and nature of El Yunque, but also shared lots of interesting information about Puerto Rico and the island’s history in general. The tour was very complete: we did a short hike, visited the observation tower, stopped at several waterfalls—both large and small—for photos, and finished at a beautiful natural swimming pool surrounded by rocks. The car was spotless and comfortable, with air conditioning and drinks provided. Juan was attentive throughout the entire experience and made the day both enjoyable and informative. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting El Yunque for the first time or looking for a great half-day introduction to the rainforest and Puerto Rico.
The Rainforest is a natural beauty like no other, the diversity once inside is very fascinating from things like trees and flowers to the wildlife surrounding you. Our guide not only knew exactly what he is talking about with foliage and the animals plus information about them but he was also funny, respectful and threw some Puerto Rico trivia in our direction. Had a blast, we also got rained on so seeing the forest come alive during its most natural state was amazing
It was wet but cool I really enjoyed the hike and the forest was beautiful. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable.
The experience was great, loved the views, got great pictures. The price was great, the transportation was clutch. For me I wish we hiked up the mountain more, but we did get to see some cool stuff. 12:30-5 seems long but it goes by so quick, would love if it was extended longer. Juan was a great guide, highly recommend him. He also recommended a nice restaurant to go to as well! Only problem I had was having to listen to a family complain about hiking up the mountain…
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative with the history. Very kind and watched over us at all times making sure nobody gets hurt. Keep us comfortable at all times. Great tour. TY
It was great visiting a historical site, the only National Rainforest in the U.S. In addition, our tour guide, Juan, was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and professional.
Totally worth it to see el Yunque. Our guide was Eli, and he was amazing. He knew so much information and was funny and friendly. We felt safe and enjoyed the trip a lot. 100% recommend it. Note: Though uphill, this hike was relatively easy compared to others I’ve read about. If you want a more extreme or longer hike you might choose a different tour, but for an introduction to the park with a great guide this one was great. Places we visited were the tower/overlook, hiking trail near a historic manmade pool, and the river for swimming. Saw various waterfalls too.
Unfortunately, we had to shorten our time this time due to our flight. However, our guide, Eli, still made it worth it. This is our second time taking a group on tour with him. He is extremely knowledgeable and fun.
Enrique, our tour guide, was amazing. He was knowledgeable and informative. If you had a question, Enrique had an answer. Small group of 7, he would take time to pause for an elderly couple while simultaneously engaging the kids with interesting fun facts. We even ate plants (and not a vegan) finding them surprisingly tasty. On the ride back, he let us relax while playing traditional Latin music. Overall, highly recommend and next time back would love to take another tour with this company and Enrique again.
The guide didn’t go with us just basically drove us to spots we expected some guidance but not much given
It’s not worth it. Waste of money and time. Nothing exciting or interesting. If you expect Costa Rica rain forest, do not go to this tour. Honestly, the worst adventure tour I’ve ever had. One more: They brought few 8 ounces water for 20 people; ridiculous. This tour may be good for elementary school students.
Loved our guide, Juan. He was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly.
Amazing experience! Fabian was a great and fun guide! It really worth the money.
It was a great experience the tour guide Juan was knowledgeable and educated the group of 8 on many things. The trail hike was a little exhausting but worth it. The weather was nice and breezy. The waterfall was beautiful. It was a 4 hr tour and great scenery throughout.
My mom and I took this tour from Old San Juan - it was our first time in Puerto Rico and we wanted to see as much as we could without a car. Our guide was funny and incredibly knowledgeable about the plants, animals, and history of the area. The stops we made were all different and scenic, and we felt like we got a really solid overview of El Yunque. I'd definitely recommend!
Harry was such an amazing guide. He was very informative and knowledgeable. He was patient with all of our picture taking. The rain forest was magical. We came for my granddaughters graduation and she asked to go thru the rain forest. This excursion was not a disappointment. My family had such such good time and I would absolutely recommend this for other travelers.
Fascinating ecosystem. Our tour guide was a wonderful driver through the winding roads of the rainforest. Wear bathing suits and be prepared to be wet during the hike. We wish our tour guide shared more knowledge of what we were seeing in the rain forest We could have learned so much more if he had.
Great! As advertised and great tour guides!
This was an easy location to get to for pick up. Driver was on time. Van held about 14 people and air conditioning not the greatest in back of van. Took about a hour to get to the rain Forest. Loved our driver who did the hike with us. Hike was over a cement path with some rocks in it so as not to erode with landslides. I was glad I had my hiking shoes. Path heads up on an incline …up about 594 feet and took us 39 minutes to the top of Britton tower and about 30 minutes down. We climbed another tower which was 96 steps before the hike and saw a waterfall after the hike. Guide also allowed some time to jump in the river afterwards for those who wanted to cool off or one could relax on rocks. Great day and loved the guide who pointed out some birds ,plants ,and flowers on the hike and the noise of the coqui toad. Our driver March 21st for the 12:30 tour made this hike . He was great but I forgot his name. I would say you need to be in shape for this hike since always going up. Encountered people coming down where you had to move over for passing sometimes onto a muddy surface. Enjoyed this hike.
Our tour guide Harry was excellent—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. The van was brand new and very comfortable, and the locations he chose were perfect for hiking.
Eli is the BEST! Thank you for being informative, personable, kind, and funny! And thank you for going out of your way to give us recommendations.
This was such a great experience. Eli was a great tour guide. He gave us such interesting information on the drive out to the Rainforest. I felt safe with his driving. On the walking portion he did a good job explaining our boundaries and things we would see and experience on this trip. I highly recommend this experience. I hope you have Eli as your guide. He was awesome!
Eli was a excellent guide that I ever met. It was a great trip.
Tour guide was excellent. We stopped at five different places and had plenty of time to see each place. We didn't see many birds, but the diversity of the plants was amazing. Easy to find the van at the plaza
It was a breathtaking rainforest experience , our driver and guide Eli was knowledgeable and entertainiing.
Our guide Eli made the drive go by quickly … very knowledge and entertaining! The tour stops hit the high points in just the right amount of time —- scenic tower, short hike, opportunity to get the water. A+
SO FUN! Had an amazing experience with Eli as our tour guide! He was so fun and knowledgeable, it was awesome hearing about the history of the rainforest and Puerto Rico too! The tour was the perfect length, nothing too strenuous and felt like we got to see a lot without being rushed. Be warned, they did not provide water, but we had plenty with our personal bottles we had brought.
The trail is pretty steep. Wear good shoes and be hydrated. Could be quite slippery if wet. The whole excursion is quite nice however.
Hilarious guide - Eli. Honestly the best I ever had. He could rock it at Comedy Cellar. One suggestion (for the itinerary): Drop visitors off on the road that cuts the trail to Mt. Britton. So they only need to climb up the second half and can go up the tower. While they’re doing that, drive down to the car park at the bottom of the trail and meet them down there. So they can walk down (rather than up) that path. Because no one on my tour made it to the top. I was the farthest ahead but I stopped at the road that cut the trail, not realizing that there was a second half until I looked at the map afterwards. Everyone else was huffing and puffing - so save them the effort by dropping them off at that mid-section.
Really fun experience. $80 per person. Left around 12:30, got back a bit before 5:30, Eli was fun.
Eli is a great tour guide. Knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed our trip to the rain forest.
Eli was an excellent tour guide, would highly recommend. The trip was a very approachable way to see El Yunque with knowledge from a local. Eli is passionate about Puerto Rico and clearly knows the area and history well. The hike felt very doable and offered a nice immersion into Yunque. I only wish we had more time to take in the forest! Of note, the drive to the forest is in a full 15-passenger van. This can be a snug and occasionally uncomfortable experience for the drive to and from the stop points, particularly in the back row.
The driver (forgot his name but he used to be a social worker) was PHENOMENAL!!! He gave us such good PR history during the long car ride. He was also hilarious which made things even more fun. Highly recommend his. The tour itself for the forest was a stop and see once you enter the forest. The 2nd to last stop was a very small hike. If you're looking for something light and easy this is it. If you're looking for a real hike, this isn't it.
Breathtaking views. Guide was extraordinary and informative. Made experience fun and educational. Highly recommend Eli.
Had a fantastic small group tour with Eli - he was engaging, hilarious, and provided a ton of fascinating information about Puerto Rico and his upbringing here
Had a great day hiking, viewing waterfalls, as well as the beautiful views of the coastline and forest. Be prepared to get your steps in.
Wonderful experience visiting the lush, beautiful rain forest. Our tour guide, Eli made it even more enjoyable with his extensive knowledge of Puerto Rico and his charming, friendly personality. Highly recommend this tour!!
Eli was a personable guide. Learned a lot about Puerto Rico and El Yunque. Enjoyed the excursion and stops at the falls and tower.
Eli was a fantastic guide! I learned so much. He was very informative and passionate about the culture of Puerto Rico. I thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to not only explore the rain forest but also learn about the culture.
Eli was an excellent guide. Super knowledgable PR native. Just 8 people on our tour. What a great experience for our first time in PR. The rain forest was beautiful.
I liked the tour and the guide, I was disappointed in the rain forest path we were to hike on. It was very crowded and narrow so there was very little time with just the noises of the forest,
This tour gives you a chance to see the rain forest, which is beautiful. The hike was about an hour with a narrow paved path that is sloped, so it's uphill and downhill, rarely flat. The guide did a nice job of explaining everything and was great about answering quesrions at stops. The only issue was the transportation. It was a 15 passenger van, which was full. There were 4 adults crammed in the back which was very uncomfortable, and the ride was rough. It's not a tour bus like we usually have on excursions, so windows were small and ceiling was low; only people at the windows could see much. We were in and out of that van 5 times (tower, hike, waterfall, restroom/scenic view, river), which was awkward, as crammed in as we were. The air conditioning barely worked it was very warm, especially being wedged in. The sound system was poor, so we could hear very little of what the tour guide was saying. I would give it a B- overall.
Eli was a great tour guide and this was exactly the type of tour we were looking for! The hiking was great and great commentary the entire trip.
Eli was such a wonderful tour guide, please if you have the chance to book do it! You won’t regret it
Eli was a great tour guide! We had contemplated renting a car to visit the forest ourselves, and taking a tour was a much better idea. We appreciated the hiking-focused tour and enjoyed the whole thing. The hike is steep but only about a mile each way. The trail can be slippery (it's the rain forest!) so wear appropriate shoes.
Eli was fabulous; authentic, informative, kind, straightforward, funny. Take this tour if you want to SEE El Yunque and not just play in the water.
