El Yunque National Forest: The Road 191 Corridor - Half Day

Our visit to the rainforest was absolutely wonderful. Our guide was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and genuinely passionate about the place. He took the time to explain everything in detail and helped us see and appreciate so much more than we would have on our own. We felt truly connected to the nature around us. It was a beautiful experience that we will remember for a long time, and we would wholeheartedly recommend it.

It was an unforgettable experience to el Yunque National Forest. Our tour guide was the best! He was engaging, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, sharing information and pointing out the unique plants ,birds and other wild life like lizards and snails. He also pointed out the sound of el coqui. We enjoyed the walking trails to the river where we got our feet wet in the cool crystal water. At our visit to the Yokahu Tower we had the oportunity to see a spectacular view of the mountains, the coast and the islands in the surrounding area. We stop at a local store and enjoyed delicious food and did a little shopping for gifts before heading back. Our tour guide created a wonderful and memorable esperience for us and we recommend this tour for anyone who is looking to book a trip trip to El Yunque National Forest.

We did a group tour with our tour guide Narayan. He is very knowledgeable, outgoing, and made the experience a whole lot of fun! Doing the sires on our own would not have been even close to as enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour with our guide Narayan we booked through Viator.

Narayan did a great job with our tour of Yunque. His knowledge and passion for the forest and all the kinds of trees and wildlife showed throughout the tour. He got us going early so that we could get to the popular sites before the large tour groups got there. Highly recommend.

We had the most wonderful experience. The weather was perfect to tour the El Yunque National Forest. Our guide DE Jesus Reyes was very interesting and shared a wealth of information with us. He made sure to look out for everyone’s safety, providing assistance to any of us who needed a hand navigating the trails. One of us left a phone on a bench in the rainforest. He immediately went into action calling the phone discovering that someone had found it. Mr Reyes coordinated an effort to get the phone returned to its owner. What a wonderful and caring human being. When we return to Puerto Rico we will be sure to take another tour with him. Wow, look at that.

We had an amazing time with Nayaran! He was knowledgeable and happy to field all our questions. We specifically were interested in the ecology and biology of the forest and he delivered. Our half day tour covered most of the highlights of the forest, but I almost wish we booked a full day with them. Would highly recommend this tour and I plan to reach back out if we return to San Juan.

We had an amazing experience going around El Yunque with Narayan. He was very knowledgeable about the trees, birds, weather, the history, and the forest. He was funny and has a good sense of humour. He picked us up promptly and took us to the most picturesque spots in the forest. The trip was memorable, but not tiring. Amazing El Yunque National Forest tour with Seeing Puerto Rico company very professional communication we got a confirmation email and then the night before the tour we got a text message with the info of the license plate of the van that would pick us up from the hotel The day of the tour we met our tour guide Naryan was very friendly and informative and a lot of fun.we went to El Yunque National Forest and we went to the observation tower and then we did Bano Grande and we did a hike and then we did a river thing that was very refreshing Naryan was very nice he communicated very well and gave a personal touch to the tour and incorporated his personal experience and history of Puerto Rico and told us about all the fauna and flowers and wildlife and explained the impacts of rebuilding since hurricane Maria on the forest he was the best.

It was great experience and our tour guide Narayan De Jesus was very knowledgeable and friendly person. Thanks for this amazing opportunity I will remember all my life.

Absolutely fantastic time! I learned so much about Puerto Rico- geographically, ecologically & culturally. The tour was the perfect mix of walking to some sites & viewing others from the van. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to be picked up & dropped off at the hotel; allowing us to really sit back, observe & ask questions. We had a wonderful tour with Narayan! We drove inside the park and it was a wonderful experience. He is so passionate and knowledgeable about the plants and biology of the forest. Took the time to explain and point out interesting things at every stop. We had a nice small group and even on a rainy day still got to see everything and truly experience rain in the rain forest.

Our guide, Narayan was the best guide I have had anywhere. He is fun, knowledgeable, kind and passionate. I have some issues with balance, so he not only carried my bag, but held my hand for support whenever the trail had rocks or was at an incline. His knowledge of the forest and the animals made the trip super fun.

Narayan was so informative and so helpful when it came to pick up locations! Let the kids swim in the river for a bit and stopped at gift shop when we asked. He’s very knowledgeable and cares about what he does!

It’s a small group of 6, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and you can leave your belongings in the van when hiking. There was heavy rain so we couldn’t go swimming which was ok although disappointing. We did go to the area and walked around a bit. Such a beautiful place.

Tour guide gave great and fun info about the rainforest and Puerto Rico in general. The activity level was low-moderate low. If you have mild mobility issues you should be fine. Obviously, there are inclines and uneven surfaces you'll be walking on so be aware. Also it's a RAINforest it could rain at any time and any intensity so dress comfortable and come prepared quick drying clothes and a change of sock would be a good idea just in case

I was a return customer after a great tour with my family back in 2019. I came back with four girlfriends, and again it was a wonderful experience. Narayan is so knowledgeable about the rainforest and all the wildlife there, and he is great at adapting the tour for both the weather conditions of the day, and the preferences of the group. He was right on time picking us up, too. I saw some different things than with the first tour, which was a delight. Definitely recommend checking out El Yunque with Seeing Puerto Rico!

Narayan took five of us, here on a girls' birthday trip, out to see El Yunque and we loved it! I had taken a tour with my family with him and am a repeat customer, having enjoyed the first one so much. He was right on time with our pickup in the morning, and was great at making adjustments based on both the weather and group preferences. Despite a foggy day, we ended up seeing so many beautiful sights. Narayan is so knowledgeable about the rainforest and the wildlife there. It was a great day and we would highly recommend the tour.

I can’t say enough great things about Narayan’s rainforest tour! He is extremely knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor which makes even the transit to/from El Yunque entertaining and informative. His expertise even allowed us to beat the rush in many popular spots! This tour is perfect for anyone and everyone as it isn’t strenuous and yet provides you with plenty of access to the magic of El Yunque. In addition to the amazing tour, Narayan went above and beyond to return a book that my son left in the tour van!

This was truly a wonderful experience to visit the rainforest with Narayan. Especially if you do not have a car and even if you did. We started out 8 am and had a great group of people (9) who befriended quickly and enjoyed visiting together. Narayan was very knowledgeable of Puerto Rico, the rain forest, the flora and fauna and food. He even played beautiful music on the way back representing music from all over the world. I would highly recommend it. Be sure to take good water resistant shoes for hikes and for the time in the river.

Lucky to have found this tour! It was the perfect low key and low impact adventure for our group with a senior citizen and 3rd grader in tow. Our veteran guide Narayan was incredibly knowledgeable and equipped to answer any and all questions we could think of - and we had a lot - as well as knowing the best photo taking spots. Narayan was amazing! He is very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and made the tour so enjoyable! We saw many different species of birds, learned about the different trees in the rain forest. The tour was so engaging from beginning to end! Don't hesitate.. book this tour ASAP.

Narayan was an excellent tour guide and told us a lot about the culture of Puerto Rico and the Rainforest. He pointed out unusual flowers and indigenous bugs. He took us to picturesque locations and took our picture to capture the memories.

Lismar arrived well on time after giving us a heads up on her ETA in a clean and very comfortable Ford Transit van. Plenty of cold water was available for us. She is fun to be with. A bubbly person with a good sense of humor. Doing this tour early morning is a good idea as it can get hot during the day. We stopped at breathtaking spots like La Coca Falls and Yokahu Tower and Lismar is a pro in making original group pics - We were a family of 4 and it was so much fun ! We walked the Caimitillo Trail and got our first tattoo - Lismar is arty and knows all about plants and geology. Stones can be tattoo color ! We cooled down with a swim in Bano Grande. Lismar carried all lifesaving gear to the River - Safety first ! She always made sure we exited the van safely ! We ended this beautiful trip trough these amazing forest in a local restaurant where we ate local food. And we did some souvenir shopping in stands that sell products that benefit the rainforest. We highly recommend this tour. Strongly advise you to book this tour directly with Seeing Puerto Rico Tours and not through other channels. Thank you Lismar for a memorable day.

This tour was AWESOME! Narayan was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and considerate. He took his time throughout the entire tour and we never felt rushed or like we were on a timeline. My aunt, who is nearing 70, was with us and she was able to do most everything! We did several short walks to see various parts of the national park and saw 2 waterfalls. Narayan taught us all about the different wildlife and plants/trees we saw. You could see he genuinely loves what he does. At the end, he took us to an amazing roadside place for lunch that was DELICIOUS! Highly, HIGHLY recommend him for a tour if you’re looking for something not extremely strenuous and very informative!

I’m new to Puerto Rico everything was AMAZING! Our Guide tour Lismar was the best, as soon as she picked us up from our pick up destination she had a great attitude, she very much enjoys her job, I loved her spirit, she was very enthusiastic. I love that she kept us updated on our tour about everything even on the way over, she talked about locals, best ways to get around to el Yunque. I learned a lot with her, it amazes me that we even have an insect that looks like a STICK! A walking stick. Overall the tour & Lismar were amazing, I’m very pleased with everything she did for us. I will definitely recommend to friends and family. I would definitely revisit & request her as my guide again.

Lismar is very knowledgeable and fun company. Flexible collection and drop off. Tour lasted approx 4 hours including travel to the rainforest. We saw pretty much everything we wanted to in that time.

Narayan was knowledgeable, fun, a great communicator, and truly a great person. Not only did we enjoy him as adults, he’s a total child whisperer. We have 5 kids 6-12, and they were all eating out of his hand. He even team jumped at the swimming home with a few of them! We had such a great day exploring El Yunque, and really felt like he adapted the trip for our family. We had a blast. Added bonus? He’s an incredible photographer and snapped a bunch of great family photos for us. Hire him.
