Our guide Raphael was great! Small group of 6 and we all enjoyed ourselves at the rainforest and beach.

Itinerary
Dr. Frank H. Wadsworth, a former forest supervisor and director of the IITF, constructed this 69-foot tower in the early 1960s. On a clear day, the Virgin Islands may be seen from Yokah Tower, along with the coastline and four different types of forest: Colorado (smooth to the south), Tabonuco (irregular surrounding with white-leaved Yagrumos), Palm (on the steep slopes), and Cloud Forest (on the peaks). To the east, in the upper Mameyes Valley, is the deep ancient forest of the Bao de Oro Research Natural Area.
La Coca Falls is a magnificent waterfall, rising 1,476 feet (450 meters) above sea level! La Coca Cascades' water falls 85 feet (26 meters) to the bottom of the falls, where it meets a massive rock formation. The location is ideal for taking pictures.
Embark on an unforgettable adventure at the Puente Roto, or "Broken Bridge," recreation site – a hidden gem nestled along the Rio Mameyes' recreation segment. Recognized by Congress as a Wild and Scenic River for its breathtaking natural beauty, this undiscovered haven promises an immersive experience in an undeveloped oasis. Features: Water Wonderland: Dive into the spacious water play area created by the river's width, offering the perfect setting for swimming, wading, and riverside picnics. ️ Location: Discover this pristine retreat at Road 988 km 2.7, where tranquility meets nature's splendor. Safety First: ⚠️ Weather Watch: Stay informed about changing weather conditions and potential flash floods to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit. Leave No Trace: Embrace environmental responsibility by packing out your trash, preserving the beauty of the river. Let's protect this natural haven together!
Feel the anticipation of exploring a new place, of swimming in a river of pure water born at the peak of the same mountain you are. Our guide will escort you on a memorable journey where you will delight in your surroundings, see beautiful landmarks, take refreshing dips in the streams, and get to enjoy this Nature Walk. Have a good time!
After the Rainforest, we'll board the bus again and travel to Luquillo Beach and Kiosks, where we'll stay for two hours so you can eat or relax on the beach before returning. Finally, we'll wrap up the day by returning guests to their original pick-up location.

If I could give this tour 10 stars I would! Rafael was amazing and you could see the passion he has for what he does. He made everyone comfortable and made sure if was a trip to remember. He even offered to help me with my camera settings to take better pics. He showed us all the little things that most would skip. He showed us the 4 snail species, the one with the shell inside was the coolest. Pointed out multiple plant species and we saw hummingbirds which I love. On the return trip Joshua was our driver and he was just as personable as Rafael. Got us back to our respective destinations with jokes and laughs The fact that both referred to my hubby and I as Michigan was epic 🤣
Our guide was Raphael and he was to notch! Entertaining, informative and kept it interesting! The only part I would change is the beach visit. You get left there for 2 hours with a step mall kind of shops in front of the beach. The beach was beautiful but without a place to leave belongings we didn't really get to enjoy it as much as we could have.
This is a very easy walk suitable for any age. Our guide, Raphael, was amazing – incredibly informative and had a great sense of humor.
I enjoyed this tour because there was a bit of everything included. Puerto Rican history along our route, a stop at local frutera stand with tasty smoothies, a calm brief walk through the rainforest, a tremendous view atop the tower, a visual wonder of a waterfall, a relaxing river experience ( you won’t want to get out), and fantastic foodie haven at Kiosks. Then swam at Luquillo beach. A perfect day. Our guide, Angel, was friendly, helpful, informative and professional. A day filled with a lot of wonders but not strenuous
Great for convenience. Our guide Rafael was so friendly and made the tour entertaining. Everyone had a lovely time :)
Very enjoyable tour. Rafael is a great tour guide. Took good care of us ,very informative. Always had a smile. Thank you
Bring a towel and shoes to walk in the river. Also bring sunscreen and your water proof bag. Make sure you don’t bring anything valuable that can be damaged.
Friendly, knowledgeable tour guide. Raphael kept us entertained the whole time! Great for people who are not avid hikers
The tour was very mellow, a great way to see El Yunque and the Loquillo beach. Tour guide was very knowledgeable about the forest.
The rainforest is beautiful and I really wanted to have the best time on this excursion. Unfortunately that was not the case. The nature walk felt forced with random thoughts from the driver but it was beautiful. On the drive our driver did not stop at the waterfall and instructed us to take pictures from our window in the vehicle, he said we would perhaps stop on the way back … but he did not and we were again told to take pictures from the vehicle, yes it was busy but we could have waited 5 minutes for a spot especially since it had been raining and we were not going to be going in the River. It was very disappointing to NOT stop at the waterfall. We briefly stopped at the river for a quick photo. We also only received 15 minutes at the tower. We then were dropped off at Luquillo beach which was beautiful but we had over two hours there and were completely rushed the entire rest of the tour. So, yes book a tour for the rainforest but I do not recommend this one.
Highly recommend this for those looking for an easy way to catch some highlights of El Yunque and spend time at Luquillo Beach without the hassle of driving/parking there. Pickup from San Juan was punctual and easy. The guides Rafael and Joshua were friendly and informative. The nature walk was not difficult, and then there were fun stops at the river (I thought it was too cold for swimming but enjoyed dipping feet it) and climbing the observation tower for better views. We got to the beach around 1 and got a couple of hours for lunch/walking on the beach, which was nice. We were back at hotel after 4. Bring water, snacks, and wear layers/rain jacket for the rainforest.
Great tour! Knowledgeable and super friendly guide! Beautiful place!!! I was a bit hesitant because I was having some slight physical issues, but it wasn’t a problem at all.
We had a great time! The tour guide is very knowledgeable and showed up on time. He showed us many unique things on the tour and I would highly recommend. Very good tour guide.
The touring includes and eco tour guide, a 15 min walk through the rainforest, a stop at a lookout with stunning views, a third stop to a place in the river and a last 2 hour stop at Luquillo beach, where you can eat local cuisine and go to the beach. We did some jet skiing at a reaaonable price. We thought we would go to the water slides but that is a different tour altogether.
Ride to the forest was very comfortable. Air conditioning was a plus. Angel our driver and guide was friendly and gave us interesting facts about PR The forest was amazing so nice to have a guide to lead the way and point out cool things. Waterfall was spectacular. Beach was nice and the food kiosks were yummy. It was great to go on this tour instead of renting a car and trying to figure out where to go.
Probably the best activity on this whole itinerary was the drop off at Luquillo beach. I had booked this because the description and listing of activities sounded fun and interactive but our short walk through the forest was literally that, short. We didn’t get to see El Puente Roto, our tour guide was funny but even when he was asked about the activities listed he said that all the activities listed were not really activities we were gonna get to do. Was it worth my $80, no.
Gian tour guide was amazing! Had lots of fun and tour guide was very nice!
Great excursion- leave the driving hassle and relax in the tour bus. Our guide Raphael was fantastic. The rain forest is a must see and stopping at Luquillo Beach for lunch was great!
Nice tour of the forest. Easy pace for those not looking for a strenuous activity. Guide was knowledgeable and personable. However, misleading description: information said maximum 13 people. There were 23 people in a packed van. Both English and Spanish speaking so guide had to switch back and forth with the languages. I was very disappointed about this aspect of the trip.
Enjoyable day and so glad we weren't the ones driving up the narrow, windy roads. Would have liked more time walking through the rain forest (and fewer nature lessons) but got a taste of it. Maybe less time at the beach afterwards
Great tour and guides, worth it
Rafael was a great guide & very knowledgeable. Just please tell people to turn their ringer off & not answer their phone during the tour!!
Amazing experience and the guide.
The team is great.... the tour peron was super nice just the experience of the tour was not the great is... not worth it... we just walked 10 minutes and then jump back on the bus and all the explanation was on top of the bus....... we did not get in the river... we stopped at the castle for 10 minutes and back on the bus. The water fall is not what it looks like in the picture .. super disappointed I've been to the forest three times and the last two were really good a lot of info we were able to get into the water and visit a cave again the tour guy was excellent just the fact of the tour the places it's horrible not worth the money we paid.
Rafael was amazing. We enjoyed our journey and will recommand to anyone coming to Puerto Rico. Thanks again for the good time!
Rafael was a great tour guide and SO well educated on general information about PR and the rain forest itself. Despite the rain he made sure we saw the sights and had a good time. Would definitely recommend to ensure getting to appropriate sights in the rain forest and just enjoy your day learning about the islands.
The rainforest can be rainy! It is beautiful. The guide made our driving time and stops interesting. The river is a pleasant stop. Beach time was too long, a crowded loud place and dirty. Not at all what I envisioned.
My husband and I are both Puerto Rican and he never experienced El Yunque. We travel to the island often and decided on this excursion as something different to do. Pick up was super easy. Our guide Angel was amazing. Attentive, knowledgeable and great personality. The rain forest was beautiful and it was RAINING. Husband was a little fussy about that but decided to embrace the experience and it was all good. We then went to Luquillo Beach and enjoyed the food from the various kiosks there, picked up some empanadas for dinner. The beach itself was OK. Liked how calm the water was but the cost of loungers and umbrella was very pricey compared to other beaches. Given we were only there for 2 hours its not worth it. The surrounding area was a bit littered and bathrooms were scarce and an adventure itself. Drop off was also seamless. Overall a good experience.
It was a great expedition. Rafael the guide was super knowledgeable and engaging. El Yunque was beautiful. The river swim was super refreshing and El Luquillo was gorgeous.
Excellent excursion and very glad that we got to go with our guides Joshua and driver Rafael. We did expect a longer hike than just the 15 minutes, but given that there were some older folks in our group, it was a good accommodation for everyone.
Pickup was prompt with comfortable, air-conditioned transportation. Rain cut short the swimming stop in El Yunque, but the rainforest lookout offered beautiful views, and we even spotted a waterfall from the drive. Luquillo Beach was disappointing due to rain, and the market-style food area felt run-down and underwhelming. It does offer a couple of full service restaurants. Overall, a decent but unremarkable trip.
Great hosts and guides (Joshua and Rafael) -They really made this tour enjoyable as they were telling a lot of history around puerto rico and the places visited. The trail of the Yunque was nice and not overwhelming, however overall we spent too much time on the bus.
This tour provides a brief nature walk through a forest loop, waterfall viewing for about 5 minutes, 30 minutes at the observation deck, 30 minutes at the river and 1.5 hours at the beach. You receive notice about 12 hours before your tour to confirm the pick up time. There are no amenities provided on tour, however, the guides and knowledgeable and friendly with a lot of history. On the other hand, the drop off to Luquillo Beach is very abrupt without much recommendation and a reminder that you are picked up at a certain time and location. Note that you also do not stop at the visitor's center in the national forest. It's a quick peek and easy walk for those who need a low impact tour. It would have been nice to get a bit more guidance and time line on the tour. The kiosks have a 30- to 45- minute wait for food so you'll have to choose between beach or a meal. There also were no rinse off or bathrooms in the area you are dropped off. It would have been nice to get some guidance on where to go as further away were some amenities. It's definitely more of a kiosk food drop that a beach time.
Day of beauty and a couple of short easy hikes into the forest to waterfalls and nice swim area. Very peaceful. Angel was a great guide and provided lots of information during our ride to El Yunque and along the hikes. He made it a fun day for all of us. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day and no rain for our hike.
Great tour through the rainforest. Guides were informative. I need a cane to walk and they took very good care of me on the short hikes that we took. Swimming in the River was amazing, and the water was refreshing. There were plenty of food/shopping options at the beach. We enjoyed some local food and a cocktail. Overall a very good tour.
This excursion is well worth the money! I went with my best friend and we had an amazing experience. Rafa was an incredible tour guide and very knowledgeable about Puerto Rico. Highly recommend!
Rafael was our tour guide he was great very knowledgeable and funny I recommend him 5 stars. The tour was great from the whole experience
Rafael was a great tour guide! He was very informative and great communicator! The rainforest was beautiful and I recommend this experience that included the beach as well. The beach was perfect for snorkeling and we enjoyed everything.
Fun experience, smooth tour. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and took care of the group. The rainforest was beautiful and there was sufficient time to enjoy the views and do all activities in the itinerary. Would recommend!!
Absolutely wonderful! Would highly recommend, we saw the main highlights and learned a lot of history. And Playa Luquillo was warm and perfect. Definitely made us want to go back for more!
Our guide Angel was awesome. Everything went as planned. Great tour. Easy pick up and drop off. Thanks.
The rainforest was beautiful. This particular tour was perfect. We were picked up at 9am. Tour started immediately with Rafael giving us details about PR as we drove by certain areas. He was considerate to all about bathroom usage. The short hike through the rainforest was very nice, we all wore teva sandals which worked great. It was pouring rain, so a pancho is recommended but we didn’t have one so we were drenched. The last stop is at Luquillo Beach, the day of our tour was gloomy and scattered rain. We enjoyed the food and drinks while we waited for transportation back to our hotel. I highly recommend this tour.
We were arm-twisted to sign online liability waiver-NOT secure OR private-after company already had our money. No ability to sign paper waiver. Unacceptable-some people do not have online access. System is pathetic & not user friendly. Also due to extreme weather conditions, guide should have readjusted schedule, giving option to return early. He didn’t, made us wait for TWO hours for new driver. Company didn’t even provide 1 bottle of water. Tour was a ripoff & potential customers need to know.
Pretty Rainforest and beach day. Friendly and helpful staff. Bring cash and the items the tour tells you to bring on tour. Have fun.
Great tour guide, great views, nice stops great value for your money… yes we could have done it by ourselves but to leave the drive to someone else was a chance for me to enjoy the terrain and drive.. however if you are trying to do some serious hiking this is not the tour for you
Great day! Short hike in El Yunque, visit to the lookout tower, and a stop at the river. All before visiting Playa Luquillo and the kiosks. Rafael, our tour guide, was so friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely book again!
Great tour and even greater tour guide. Easy tour through El Yunque with beautiful views and calming waters. The stop at Luquillo was well worth it- I only wished we could’ve stayed longer!
The tour of the Rain Forest was amazing. Enjoyed the hike and swim in the river. Our tour guide, Angel, was knowledgeable about the native plants.
Found this tour on the trip advisor app, had good ratings and a good description. Our tour guide Rafael was great! Super knowledgeable friendly and funny! Would recommend the tour if you’re looking for something to do. Not difficult at all, just a fun experience to have.
