I did a lot of research looking for an El Yunque tour because I'm not in great shape and was traveling with a seven year old - this tour really hit the spot! The logistics were beautiful - everything was well timed and the stops all felt worth it. Our tour guide, Angel, was amazing - he truly went above and beyond helping everyone get around!

The guide was awesome, communicative & knowledgeable, great sense of humor. The time in the park seemed too short & rushed. The river stop was unnecessary. It was crowded & the graffiti under the bridge made it seem urban rather than a national forest. The beach portion was too long and disappointing. Out of 60 kiosks only 4 of 5 were gift shops, the rest were restaurants & bars & I couldn’t find anything non-alcoholic except soda & water. Maybe there was but too crowded to see. The beach area was unkempt and not inviting. I may be biased because I’m staying at a resort. I’d rather spend more time on a longer hike in the forest.
I booked the El Yunque and Luquillo tour for myself and my sons birthday and received a cancellation due to sargassum. The morning of I noticed another email confirming the booking so i called and spoke to a disgusting man with a disgusting attitude names ALEX who told me they "accidentally cancelled my booking but I'm booked, but they couldn't charge my card without my consent." So when I tried to clarify because the money was already debited from my account and voice my confusion- his response was "is that what I said?" To further clarify according to his words I would be paying over $300 to rebook while waiting for the original payment to be refunded and it would have been nice to have gotten a phone call to sort this out yesterday instead of two hours before my scheduled pickup. His response was to become irate, yelling that it was "water under the bridge" and "he didnt have to take me with MY attitude." I asked about my refund when I told him I wasny arguing with his but he was very unprofessional and he said "we'll I'm arguing with you." I said you guys were the ones who made the wrror, I'm having over 300 debited from my account and this was his response. He hung up on me. Needless to say, I'm grateful for the cancellatio. They seem great once they have your money but lack service and accountability to correct errors they are responsible for.
Perfect low exertion tour. Short walk learning about the plants & animals. Great for people who don’t want lots of hiking.
Plan a whole day .. Should change time of tour from 9 to 5 not 9 to 3. We missed our event for 5pm that was paid for and couldn't get a refund .
Not too much walking but bring shoes that have good grip due to wet stones etc. and bring a poncho also! Guides Joshua and Raphael were terrific. Great team.
Great experience of the rain forest. The guide was very informative and made it fun. I would recommend to friends. We did not stay at the beach but it looked to be fun.
We are glad we went on this experience. A few pointers for others. Bring or wear shoes that you can walk out into the river in, it is too painful bare-footed. There is no place to change or use the bathroom at the river stop so plan accordingly. There are no chairs or umbrellas to rent at the beach. We brought a hotel towel to sit on. The bathrooms at the beach are in the restaurants. There are real bathrooms at the nature trail and porta potties at the observation tower.
Well, I just would say avoid this company! If I say "very unprofessional" that would not describe completely my experience with this .... company (if I can call this sh... place this name). If you want to save yourself unpleasant experience and distortion of your plans - just avoid this ... let me finish by just saying this, because there were more involved and trust me don't get full by other good reviews, it can be bought by just paying some $$$, trust me on that one, I am a business owner myself and getting a lot proposals like that. You can contact me directly if you'd like, I will give you all details about my involvement with this ... his name I believe is Alex. Just stay away, there are many other nice operators you can choose
The two tour guides we had were exceptional with the wealth of knowledge and education they provided. We were also really impressed with their ability to present in both English and Spanish to accommodate the entire group.
The tour guide was very nice and funny, and the driver did an excellent job navigating the rainforest roads. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this trip. The rainforest portion was very short—we barely walked half a mile. The observation tower was just okay, and the river stop was underwhelming, with lots of rocks and cold water. Then we went to Luquillo Beach, which wasn’t my cup of tea. The beach was dirty and not well-maintained, and it was crowded with locals. We ended up taking an Uber back. While the staff were wonderful, the tour didn’t meet my expectations. I had hoped for a longer, more immersive rainforest experience and a cleaner, more relaxing beach visit.
Angel was fantastic!!! Every stop was perfect! The photos we got were awesome and the experiences we had were incredible! Highly recommend.
Our tour guide, Rafael, was energetic, entertaining and very knowledgeable. The views were breathtaking! We loved every minute of both el Yunque and Luquillo Beach!
This tour was great. Rafael was amazing - funny, knowledgeable, kind and made us feel like one big family throughout the experience
Our family had a great time touring El Yunque! Our driver and guide, Rafael, was a lot of fun, and we were impressed with his ability to share information with our group in both English and Spanish. The national forest was beautiful, and swimming in the river was a unique highlight that we'll always remember. Luquillo Beach was a great way to end the trip, with a good lunch and some time in the water to cool off. Recommended for anyone looking for a little adventure and a chance to step outside of San Juan.
Great tour with Raphael! He was very attentive, informative and very funny! We had a wonderful time from start to finish. The food and drinks at Luquillo were amazing! Take this tour!
This excursion was just “so-so”. We were expecting more of a hiking experience in the rain forest. However, the rain forest is gorgeous. For us, too much time at the beach (which many I’m sure enjoyed). Our tour guide, Angel, was tremendous. He gave us a lot of the history and identified plants and wildlife. We did get an opportunity to sample the Mofongo! Very delicious. Overall, we enjoyed the excursion but we would look for a different one with more hiking in the future.
It was relatively easy, less stressful, lovely and informative guide (as advertised). We didn’t have time to do much at Loquilla other than sit down for a meal and maybe have 15 mins to spare. We weren’t looking to sit at the beach with no shade so it worked out well
We loved visiting El Yunque with Rafael! He was charming and knowledgeable and lots of fun. He called the day before to confirm pickup time and place and arrived promptly. El Yunque was beautiful and we loved going on this tour. It is not strenuous. My only complaint would be the Luquillo Beach stop. 2 hours is too long for this stop. The beach itself is pretty but many of the kiosks were either not open or vacant and there was a lot of trash in these vacant spots. Luquillo Beach kiosk owners needs to clean up their area. We did have a tasty lunch at Kiosk 50 El Fuego.
What an amazing day! Alex was such a fantastic guide - we learned alot about the island and the rainforest. My teenage girls and I loved the rain forest - especially the climbing of rocks up to the waterfall and the walk to the river where we swam. Luquilo beach was beautiful and we had a lovely lunch with some time to enjoy the beach. This company is so thoughtful and has the ability to accommodate people with mobility challenges (my husband is in a wheelchair). They made the whole experience seamless and wonderful. I highly recommend!
This tour was an amazing experience from start to finish! First Stop: The observation tower offered breathtaking panoramic views of the lush rainforest—definitely a highlight for photo enthusiasts. Second Stop: We visited a stunning waterfall, perfect for snapping pictures and soaking in the serene atmosphere. Third Stop: A short hike led us to a refreshing swimming spot, where we cooled off and enjoyed the natural beauty of El Yunque. Final Stop: We ended the day at Luquillo Beach. We ate at kiosk #50, and the food was absolutely delicious—a fantastic way to wrap up the tour. Our tour guide was fantastic! They shared fascinating information about Puerto Rico's history, culture, and nature as we traveled between stops. Their insights added so much value to the experience. Highly recommend this combo tour for anyone looking to explore Puerto Rico's natural beauty and enjoy a mix of adventure and relaxation!
I loved the experience friendly staff! All the places we saw were beautiful! We were picked up and dropped off, super easy and convenient. Would definitely book with them again. 😊
Our tour guide Raphael was excellent, he was very welcoming and shared information about Puerto Rico in a relatable and witty way. The tour bus was comfortable, pickup and drop off was seamless. The sites visited all met expectations, our favorite being the nature hike to the river where the great weather permitted a dip in the cool refreshing water. The time at the beach was sufficient to explore the food and drink stalls and souvenir shops; we chose not to swim in the sea. All in all a great experience.
Very enjoyable day trip. Rupert was a great guide, patient with us and took time to provide us with a mix of history, cultural information and fun facts. Good communication around pick up times etc. We had plenty of time to swim in the river and hang out at the beach and did not feel rushed. Note that there is no hiking involved.
Rafael was our tour guide, he picked me and my daughters up at the Fairmount hotel in San Juan. Bus was clean and air conditioned. He was very informative and very friendly, and gave us our itinerary so we all knew what exactly to expect during our trip. Our first stop was the Yokahu tower, overseeing the whole rainforest and mountain areas, which was about 90 something steps up, which wasn’t bad for my and my kids (I have an 11, and a 7 year old). Pictures don’t do justice to show how beautiful it was. then after that we went to see coco waterfalls which was also beautiful. Then, we went back to the bus and headed to the rainforest. During the ride he was giving us a run down on what to expect and information and history about the rainforest via intercom which was nice. When we arrived, we walked through the rainforest while Rafael was showing us species of plants and trees and more history about PR. Weather wise it was beautiful and not too hot. After about 10 minutes of walking, we arrive at the river which was my kids favorite out of the rainforest walk, water was clear and cool and we swam with the fishes! he let us enjoy the river for 30 minutes then our last stop was Luquillo beach, which was very beautiful, and they also had many places to eat and many shops to buy souvenirs. We spent two hours there, then got back on the bus to get taken back to the hotel. Overall fun, and informative, me and my kids loved it! Would definitely recommend and would do this excursion with Rafael again !
I have been on this tour twice. Rafael is awesome. Very knowledgeable and is a very fun tour guide. I would highly recommend this tour and all others from Puerto Rico access tours. I will definitely book again when I visit puerto
My wife and I really enjoyed the tour of the rainforest and beach. We especially enjoyed our tour guide, Rafael, as he was so attentive to the group and willing to take photos. This young man called us the morning of the trip to confirm meeting place and time and was so much fun and very knowledgeable about the history and the rainforest. Thank you Rafael for the driving and overall experience, Dave & Kaori from Chicago!!!!
We are on our Honeymoon and this was perfect. Rafael our tour guide was by far amazing and went above and beyond for our group. He was full of knowledge and always had us laughing.
Knowledgable, patient tour guide throughout the entire tours. They accommodated our large group on a personal family tour
Awesome tour, highly recommend! Great way to see the rainforest and Luquillo beach. Andrea was great!
This is an easy trail to go and see El Yungue in a glance. The guide and the driver were the best team up for the day. They sync and they made the trip very comfortable and safe. The guide was lighthearted, with good sense of humor and attend to all guests needs with a smile. If time is a tight factor for your visit , this is the best to stretch the stay. Must have to experience and learn about Puerto Rico in a crash course . 👍👍
Nice little hike with my bf. The river was beautiful, nice and cold and clear. The beach and the kiosks at the end were also nice i got a few gifts for family and had some great food and strong margaritas.
I enjoyed this experience! We got rained on by the time we reached the beach though so I wish it had lasted longer! But the drivers were nice as well.
Our adventure was excellent! Our tour guide Louie was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I only wish our hike was a bit longer but altogether an excellent experience!
Everything was absolutely amazing!!! Our tour guide was wonderful and the rainforest is so beautiful. Definitely would recommend.
This was amazing. I would recommend to everyone. The tour guides were amazing and friendly and knowledgeable.
We had a wonderful day on this excursion. Martin was our guide for the day .. he was very accommodating and made sure that we had the very best time. We were also lucky to be with a great group of people and we enjoyed meeting people for other places. We will definitely be back!
The river was the highlight of the trip and the guide was very knowledgeable. Just wish there was more hiking. 3 mile beach was good but would have rather spent that time in the rainforest.
Our guide was excellent!!! Very friendly and patient. Im a non swimmer and he made it so comfortable for me to jump into the river. Im still in awe. I greatly recommend!!!
Martin was a pleasure of a tour guide! His first priority was his group ensuring that we had first dibs and enjoyed every feature of the experience. I didn’t know that the tour included eating at a local food spot (loved how authentic the food was! And the smoothies were great!) and a trip to a beautiful beach! Highly recommend. Sad we didn’t get to see more animals that’s the only reason it wasn’t a 5/5
Our experience was amazing ! The tour guide was my bestfriend 😍 lol the water slide was a hit for everyone , but I was definitely scared to do it myself lol . The views were amazing the water felt great . And we took awesome photos ! Highly recommend
Great Experience All Around I Would Definitely Do It Again. The Views Were Beautiful And The Guide Was Amazing.
This tour was a perfect birthday trip experience. Martin the tour guide was punctual, knowledgeable, and personable. We learned some of Puerto Rico’s history, rainforest tour with a swim, stopped for a bite to eat, and went to the beach. A little bit of everything and it was amazingly perfect. Book Now!!!
This was my favorite experience of my entire trip. First off it was well organized and described. The host was knowledgeable about Puerto Rico and it’s history and culture. On the way to the rainforest he kept the group engaged with this great information. First we stop at this little place that has the best smoothies ever in Luquillo. Then as you make your way to the watering hole he shows you flowers and talks about the scenic parts once you get to the rainforest. You have a nature walk to the watering hole which was amazing including a small cliff jump and a rope swing. After this they take you to a place with a bunch of stores and restaurant where you can shop, eat, and then hit the beach until it’s time to go. Even the driver was awesome and interactive with the group. He was funny and an important part of the trip too. He very nice to my son as was the host who made him feel super important as well!
The guide was friendly but the hike was only 20 minutes and we didn’t get to see much. Very disappointed
The river jump. The crew made me *a non swimmer * very comfortable. I had a great time. Wish the hiking trail was a little longer
Lovely day trip and the experience is a must. Our guide was a great time and we left with some great memories and good laughs.
Tour guide was great! Very personable and friendly. Very patient and communicated well with everyone the whole time. Great experience.
This was a great overall experience Noel was a knowledgeable guide. Its was raining and the rivers were very rapid but our guide made sure we had a great time.
Had a lovely day trip with one of Puerto Rico's local guides. He is a wild yogi and very knowledgeable of the rain forest. I highly recommend taking a tour with this group. Thanks for the memories!
