It was a small group which we thoroughly enjoy, even willing to pay more for that experience, professor was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his culture, what an exceptional experience we had. He explained the history of his people and how it intertwined to where they are now, you will not be disappointed with this tour. We love walking tours and this is definitely at the top of must dos.
Great experience. Dr. Jose was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and took us to many different places and also gave us different refreshments along the way, while also trying to ensure that we stayed in the shade as much as possible. He keeps the tours very small to make sure they are intimate, which I really appreciate.

Our tour was with Jose, who is very knowledgeable, personable, and engaging. Jose kept our attention throughout the tour with history, stories, and cultural information about Puerto Rico. We really enjoyed the small group size (6). Jose is clearly a popular figure as many people said hi to him as we passed, reflecting his close connection with the city. We really feel lucky to have Jose as a guide.
We started our trip to PR with the Old San Juan tour by Professor Morales. What a great and knowledgeable guide and host! We learned a good deal about the history of the island and its culture which was presented in an interesting fashion. The professor kept everyone in our group engaged (aged 6 to 67). I would highly recommend the tour to anyone interested in learning more about PR and Old San Juan.

Absolutely outstanding tour. Dr. José Morales kept us and, more importantly, our kids, 12- and 20-year-olds, focused and engaged. He gave us a rich history of the island, answered many questions, and even gave up the World Cup Final to guide our tour! This was one of the best walking city tours we had, and we had many of them. Great work, highly recommended for anybody curious about PR history and who is traveling with family.
This was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide was incredibly considerate and knowledgeable. He brought Old San Juan to life by sharing the history and stories behind the places we visited. You could tell he was passionate about Puerto Rico, and he did a great job connecting the city’s landmarks to the island’s culture and heritage in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. I walked away with a much greater and deeper appreciation for Puerto Rico than I ever would have gotten from exploring on my own. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who wants more than just sightseeing

This was a great experience! We were given a very educational tour by Dr. Jose Morales, who described history in an expansive, comprehensive, and balanced way to allow us to form our own opinions about what we were seeing. He treated each of the people we encountered with respect, such as the police officers, security guards, and the nuns. He really made history come alive on this walking tour and brought it into present day Puerto Rican Society. We really felt like we got a local, down to earth, and educated experience. Highly recommend anyone schedule a tour with him!. Definitely recommend bringing a hat and sunscreen. You will be walking over cobblestones so keep that in mind when choosing your footwear. There are two parking garages nearby if you are driving in. Make sure to come early to get spots in those.

Fantastic tour! Our group was small which gave us plenty of time to ask questions. Dr. Morales was an excellent teacher and has a clear love for the culture and history of San Juan. Lots of great details about the music and foods that make Puerto Rico such a special place. Would highly recommend!
Guide had tremendous knowledge about the history of Puerto Rico. The walking pace was appropriate although there were some steep areas.
We arrived 45 minutes early early there were no instructions to arrive 3 hours early on the site page. We couldn’t find parking in any spot it took us over an hour to find parking snd by that time they had already left . I have no clue where I’m at or where I could have met them. Who would want to book a tour and show up 3 hours early for a guided tour I would have not booked at all if I knew to get there 3 hours early
Juan was a very engaging and knowledgeable guide. He pointed out several plants of interest in addition to more history than you can possibly remember. The group size is limited to allow for a more personal experience than other tours. This tour is best for those who are serious about the history of San Juan (and Puerto Rico in general).
The guide was very well educated on the history of Puerto Rico. It was so informative and we learned a lot. I thought his pace was perfect. He went slow enough to get to experience the site's. I never felt rushed. He also recommended a great place for lunch that is also getting 5 stars. Great experience! Highly recommend this tour
Very informative and comprehensive
The tour lasted a good two hours, Dr. Jose Morales was very courteous and knowledgeable about Puerto Rican history and culture. He both spoken in English & Spanish to accommodate us, took us to various sites from forts to Cathedral and convent. Mentioned many key points along the way and provided us with fresh water halfway through the tour and restroom break when needed. When asked he recommended several places for lunch, a great scholar with a wealth of knowledge! Thank you, loved the experience

We scheduled the 11 A.M. tour on 11 May to learn about the history of old San Juan. Our tour guide Dr. Jose Morales gave us a fantastic experience! He provided a wealth of information about the rich history of Puerto Rico and San Juan. He was both personable and informed about a wide range of historical topics. We absolutely recommend this tour for anyone interested in understanding the local culture.
