Condado: Glow And Paint Kayak Tour

I booked this excursion as a solo traveler. While I hoped there would be other solo travelers as well, at no time did the operator give me the impression that this would be the case, so I cannot fault them for the fact that I ended up being the only solo traveler. What I booked as a regular, night kayaking excursion ended up being a birthday celebration attended by approximately 20 people all in the same group, all of whom stuck together and associated with each other (as is to be expected), communicating in Spanish 98% of the time. Because of this, the tour operators also communicated almost solely in Spanish, causing difficulty in my knowing what was happening. Another group of 4 also arrived with not all of the members speaking fluent Spanish, which helped with some communications by the staff starting to take place in English. I also don’t know if I can or should fault the staff for this either, because I’m sure needing to say the same thing twice in different languages can be taxing, and it is easier to just default to the language that is spoken by the majority. But with everyone being in groups with me as the only solo traveler, the language barrier further strengthened the sense of isolation during the event. This leads to my next area of consternation. I booked what I thought was a nice, relaxing yet adventurous night kayaking tour, with transparent bottoms with led lights that would help with experiencing various life forms in nature as well as having the fun aspect of neon or glow in the dark body paint. There was no paint offered, at all. We were each given two glow stick bracelets. That’s it. There was no nature, at all. Not even the mention of looking for or trying to see anything in the water. The relaxing and adventurous night kayak tour turned out to be a Halloween haunted house, complete with spooky sounds and music, staff in costumes and masks, and a decorated corridor we walked through filled with jump scares and frights leading to the water. I personally do not like being scared at all, and at 52 years old I get no enjoyment out of haunted houses designed to frighten the youth. Now this I do blame on the company, as at no time was it communicated that this was going to be the case. Had I known this was going to have some spooky Halloween theme and a haunted house aspect, I would have passed on the event all together. Some may have really enjoyed this and found it scary and fun. I did not, and would have loved to have the knowledge this was planned so I could “nope” out and find another excursion in which to participate. The kayaking itself was fun. As a first time kayaker who cannot swim at all, I enjoyed it immensely, and did not mind being the only person in the entire group that was in a kayak alone. In fact, I actually preferred it that way, and would have loved to have spent more time out on the water (which I’m sure would have been possible if A. we had started on time - we did not, and B. we did not have to traverse through the corridor of terror - we did). All of that said, would I participate again? No. Would I recommend to others? Only if the company becomes more transparent with what it is for which you are really signing up for. That way, those that enjoy these things will be prepared to have fun, and those that do not, like myself, can find something better suited for their tastes. TL;DR - The experience would not be bad for those looking for this type of experience. But it was not for me, and had it been truthfully marketed, I would have been able to make a better choice for my tastes.

booked a kayaking event through here, didn’t make it to this event do to being sent to the wrong location requested for a refund through my bank because the customer service here didn’t help, was refunded then reversed. 0/10 experience would like my money back because i wasn’t able to attend this activity.

The idea is cool, but you spend more time waiting for other people to show up. When you get to the water it less than 30 min tour. We didn’t get see anything of the cool things they mentioned. For the experience of night kayaking for a few min is cool other than that it not worth it. That’s just my experience. I’m not sure of the rest of peeps.

We learned about manatee and their importance to the eco system. Melvin told us how to properly kayak. He also told us historical facts on San Juan, took our pictures, and very patient. Chris made sure no one was left behind or got lost. I am definitely making sure everyone I know goes and to ask for Melvin & Chris. Also make sure to tip, these guys are teaching you life skills & deserve it.

Fabiola was awesome and iconic she was very helpful and took us to the most beautiful spots guided us beautifully 💓✨

It was lots of fun. I’ve been kayaking before but doing at night was a nice, fun and refreshing twist. Cyler was a great guide with a lot of helpful information.

Definitely an experience! I am scared of being in the water and didn’t kayaking tour to rid my fear. Guest service was on point and taught us the basics before we got into the water. I am super thankful for my kayak mate who I just met during the adventure who kept me calm and guided me on how to properly paddle. We saw a few fish and what I thought was a baby shark… other than that really fun

The excursion was short (right under an hour) but it was fun and a great view. Paint and glow sticks are optional, so if you dont want to partake in that you don't have to. Also, the main tour guide is great about taking pics of you and your group!

Beautiful view and calm peaceful water. The guide was knowledgeable and shared very interesting facts about Puerto Rico.

Kyler, Joshua, Angel, and Savik were amazing. Very friendly. Highly recommended. The tour was very beautiful around the lagoon.

Kyler was a great guide we got to see some cool spots and some cool fish! We learned about mangroves, manatees and other parts of the lagoon. Would definitely recommend for people to come and do this tour. When I come back with different friends I will bring them to this tour!

In this experience kyler, Angel joshua and zavick were the best host we’ve ever had this was the most amazing natural experience in my life.

WORST! DONT USE THEIR SERVICE. BOATS ARe OLD, LIFE JACKETS ARE WORN OUT and they don’t help you with questions even when you message them. Once you sign the waiver and even if you don’t use the service for safety reasons they won’t refund you. WORST RECEPTIONIST AND BAD SERVICE.

Zabick, Joshua, angel, Elizabeth, and skyler were amazing zabick was our tour guide he was fun and kept things light and enjoyable.

Alex was the best tour guide ever Maurice Kyler and Angel was there very helpful. We had a nice time. It was a work out. My partner was not helping me at all, but I still enjoyed the whole thing.

Amazing experience. I came with my group at around 10pm. Whole tour and prep lasted about an hour. Alex, Maurice, Angel and George were our tour guides. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Made it simple and enjoyable for us. Will definitely be returning again.
