We booked through Jet Blue Vacations, which was easy since it was last minute. Our stay at the San Juan Marriot was excellent start to finish. Puerto Rico is truly La Isla del Encanto and the staff at this resort made our vacation spectacular. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff were excellent. The service was always courteous and the staff were extremely accommodating and pleasant. From Gabriella Guzman at the restaurant, beach side on our first night welcoming us and letting us know about the wonderful things to do and see during our stay. To the staff at the swim up bar especially Cynthia Molina who always had a smile and beverage ready for us. The Restaurant in the lobby especially pleasant with Maria Bosa with her infectious smile and spirit. She made the time there amazing as we enjoyed the DJ, Salsa band and people watching. Special mention of Joseph McDevitt (security) who always had a kind word and was a pleasure to speak with. I wish I could list all of the people who assisted and were so kind. All in all I know that the staff and people of Puerto Rico made this a trip to remember and we will definitely be back. Until next time........xoxo

Beautiful resort with a lovely pool area, and it's right on the beach. The lobby and lobby bar is beautiful and spacious, and the casino was lively and staff were amazing. Everything you could need is on sight, and it's located in such a convenient area, full of stores and bars and restaurants. The rooms are renovated and have a nice views, but they still feel a little dated/tired and some in our group noticed a mildew-like smell. All in all, it's a fantastic hotel & resort in a great location, and we'd love to come back!
We recently stayed at the San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino. While our overall experience leaned positive, a few significant drawbacks kept it from being a seamless stay. The Room & Staff The Good: The standard room was a solid size, comfortable, and featured a balcony with a great ocean view. The staff throughout the property were consistently friendly and welcoming. Maintenance Issue: The room maintenance fell short. Our toilet had to be constantly jimmied to function, and we ultimately had to place a call to front-desk maintenance when it stopped flushing entirely. Pool & Safety Concerns Pool Experience: The pool area is lively, but guests should exercise extra caution. The tile surfaces around the pool deck are beyond slippery when wet. Incident: My son had a fall on the deck and bumped his head hard enough that we had to take a trip to the emergency room to get him checked out. While kids running is always a factor, the lack of traction on the wet floor significantly contributed to the fall. Pricing, Fees & Dining Add-on Costs: The pricing structure feels steep. On top of standard room rates, there is a $65/day resort fee—plus an additional parking fee on top of that—which adds up quickly. Dining: Food on-property sits on the higher end of the price spectrum, but quality-wise, most of what we tried was fairly average for what you pay. Final Verdict It’s a solid property with friendly service and fantastic ocean views, but between the maintenance hiccups, steep daily add-on fees, average dining costs, and slippery pool deck, there are definitely areas that need improvement.
I stayed here with one of my good friends from June 12-15 and here is my honest take: Pros: The breakfast! Get it included with your room it is so worth it! It is amazing! The food is incredible, there are a ton of choices and it also comes with mimosas included! They even asked if we wanted some mimosas to go! The location is great, only 15-20 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes into old San Juan, walking distance to other hotels and great restaurants The staff was all very kind and helpful The little extras are nice like free fresh popcorn at the pool, if you a rewards member free water and soda and a cocktail hour from 4-5 Lively lobby area with a nice bar and many nights had live music Beach access - the water is rough at times but it is a beautiful beach Cons: The rooms say they are all renovated but they weren’t anything special or looked that new to me. The biggest complaint there is only 1 hook in the entire bathroom! There is a huge wall with nothing else on it besides one hook! There should be 6! It is a beach resort everyone needs to hang swimsuits and towels! The TV didn’t really work most of the channels would freeze every couple of seconds and they basically told us that they don’t have great satellite so it just is that way. The pool area is weird. The area that has the most chairs is around basically a kiddie pool. The pool that has the swim up bar and where the water slide goes has maybe 25 chairs, the pool itself is jammed. It is just an odd layout and kind of annoying. I stayed previously at the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel and it has a much nice more upscale feel.
We had a great experience at the San Juan Marriott. Our room had a great view, was cleaned nicely every day and loved the easy access to pool and beach. It was great to have endless towels, great seats at the pool and super friendly and attentive staff. We appreciated the lifeguards at the beach as an extra measure of protection from the strong (but very fun) ocean waves. Enjoyed the restaurants on site and nearby. Relaxation with no worries or work was our goal and this delivered!
