As of July 7, 2026: This hotel is undergoing major beachfront renovations. A high-powered hydraulic breaker has been demolishing the beautiful infinity pool from early morning each day, to 5 P.M. creating constant, extremely loud construction noise that significantly impacts the guest experience. The beach also raised safety concerns during my stay. There was no lifeguard by the beach. Guard post is located 100 meter inland, and a rip current warning sign welcomes you. The beach seems to be accessible to anyone from local, other hotels - it is public beach rather exclusive to this 4star hotel which charges $500 per night. The photos shown online no longer accurately reflect the current condition of the property because of the ongoing construction. The hotel also requires a $400 security deposit, which was not something I expected. Finally, the room air conditioner is unusually loud, sounding more like a commercial refrigerator than a hotel HVAC unit. After staying here, I understand why there is a second door separating the entrance and bathroom area from the bedroom—it appears to help reduce the noise from the air-conditioning unit. Staff and employees here are the best part, and they work hard and smile to satisfy the guests. However all the others are not up to the standars. Overall, I wish I had known about these conditions before booking. This hotel does not deserve its price and fame.

We had a wonderful stay at La Concha! We booked an oceanfront room for 3 nights and absolutely loved waking up to that view. One tip: if you’re a Marriott member, book through the app, the breakfast‑included package was a great deal, and the breakfast spread was great. The pool and hot tubs were fantastic, and we made sure to enjoy them every day. Overall, we had a memorable experience at La Concha and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area
A Great Atmosphere for Family Time in San Juan. Out of the couple of casinos I’ve checked out in San Juan, I can easily say La Concha Casino is my absolute favorite. I make it a point to visit during both the week and the weekends whenever I’m in Puerto Rico. I don’t go there looking to spend large amount of money; instead, I go for the great atmosphere and to spend quality time with my family. From the moment you walk in, the employees make you feel incredibly welcome, and the security team is excellent, which makes the whole environment feel safe and comfortable. The only area that could use some consistency is the floor service. Not all servers are the same. I’ve had three different servers who were very kind and attentive. However, you can also easily come across servers who take forever to reach their section, completely ignore you, or say "I'll be right back" and never return. When that happens, I usually just switch areas or find someone else. Overall, it's still a fantastic spot with top-tier vibes and great staff at the front. Highly recommend for a fun, casual night out!
La Concha Resort was WONDERFUL! The hotel lobby was amazing with a great staff to check you in and a wonderful bar with plenty of comfortable seating at and around the bar area with great drinks and an excellent menu with excellent food options from salads and seafood to vegan options. The rooms were big, clean and comfortable. The staff was professional, helpful and always available. There was an excellent team on the beach to assist you with towels, beach chairs & umbrellas and also serve you food and drinks from the restaurant. The same setup was at all three swimming pools.....yes, all three of them. Two different restaurants served an excellent buffet along with menu options. The restaurant we went to for dinner was so amazing we went and ordered the same meal & drinks again a couple of nights later! I highly recommend La Concha Resort (a Marriott property in case you have points or want to earn them). It's in a great area to walk and sight-see when/if you decide to leave the grounds of the hotel. Thanks, Kevin
We just got back from La Concha and honestly we are so impressed. We read a lot of mixed reviews and were considering other hotels, but this ended up being one of the best hotel experiences of our lives. Everything was amazing, especially the pools. They were the perfect temperature, never felt overly crowded even during Christmas week, and the two hot tubs were such a nice touch and felt private. They even gave out sorbet near the pool which was such a small but thoughtful detail. The resort never felt packed, although I would recommend going to the pool earlier in the day to get the best seats. The absolute best part of this hotel was the STAFF. I have never experienced service like this anywhere. Every single person was kind, patient, and genuinely wanted to help. From the front desk and lobby staff to the beach staff, waiters, and concierge, everyone went above and beyond. Since it was Christmas time, they even gave us coquitos every night, which made the experience feel extra special and very Puerto Rican. The restaurants on site were really good, the piña coladas and beach drinks were amazing, and even the food at the bar exceeded expectations. The location is perfect, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and we booked a corner city view room but still ended up with a beautiful partial ocean view. Noise was never an issue, and we really appreciated that the hotel enforces a non smoking policy. Even though some people say this hotel is not great for families, we completely disagree. We saw some kids around, but it never felt uncomfortable or overwhelming at all. There is also a really nice adults only section, which makes the balance perfect. The beach staff were incredible and always helped find the perfect spot. The ocean was great for fun swimming, though there were waves, and during the day there were always two lifeguards on duty which made us feel safe. Housekeeping was excellent and everything was always clean and well maintained. At the end of our stay, our flight was canceled due to a storm. The hotel was at full capacity because of high season, but the supervisor Alondra was extremely understanding and did everything she could to help us, including discounting our rate a bit. Felix at the front desk answered all of our questions with so much patience, and the concierge gave us great information about tours and activities. Overall, everything about this hotel was outstanding. The staff, location, food, rooms, service, and overall vibe were incredible. I honestly do not understand why this hotel is not rated five stars because it absolutely deserves it. We loved it so much that we are already looking to book again in the next few months.
