This day trip was the highlight of our nine days in Costa Rica. Fernando is a phenomenal tour guide. He is knowledgeable, hospitable, and kept us entertained and on schedule. He was extremely thoughtful and stopped along our travel route so we could enjoy a sloth in a banana tree! All stops on this tour were memorable and the 2 meals provided were delicious. The highlight for us were the zip lines: 7 courses above beautiful the rainforest. The hot springs amazing as well. I highly recommend this tour.

Following you will participate in an indigenous tribe presentation performed by members of the Maleku Tribe, which is the Native’s Reservation of the northern side of the country.
Finish this incredible day of adventure by dipping yourself in the soothing thermal mineral hot springs at the base of Arenal Volcano, there are multiple pools where you can rest for a couple of hours after this packed day of adventure. Our tour guide Steven was amazing, he was so informative on every place we stopped. He even stopped along side the road to see a sloth in a tree and also some birds. I would definitely recommend this tour. Also, the driver was so incredibly nice and did an amazing job at driving safe in the weather conditions.
Definitely worth the money and time. Alex Blanco was very knowledgeable and kept great energy. Ziplining was amazing! The waterfalls were beautiful.
We had a great experience! Shoutout to Oxaney (tour guide) and Ignacio (driver) who were super friendly and gave us a day to remember! We had a great time seeing animals, ziplining, hot springs. Good food. Drive through the mountains at night was calm despite all of the windy roads Pro tip: Bring some colones to give to the native population as well as tips for the guides!
Overall it was a good experience; the downfall being the TRAFFIC to get from one destination to the next. It was definitely a full day plus. We were picked up at our hotel at 6:50am and dropped off at 9:00pm. The tour guide was friendly and the place where we ate for dinner was absolutely delicious! We enjoyed the Zip Lining and the Hot Springs was nice and relaxing. The package was a good bang for your buck!
Fernando was an awesome guide. Thoughtful, informative and kind. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our excursion. We enjoyed great coffee, saw beautiful birds, iguanas and a sloth that showed out!!! It was moving soooo much lol. We’d definitely do it again in a heartbeat! Thanks, Fernando!
Very full day of activities and food. Well planned. Not spring was gorgeous. With views of volcano. Steven tour guide was great an informative. Stopped to see sloths along the route as a bonus. Highly recommend.
saw a bunch of cool things and places.first stop coffee was delicious and good view of the crops, second tried corn tortillas with a sour creme and saw exotic birds. on our way stoped by to see wildlife. sloth, monkeys, tucan etc ziplines were so fun got your adrenaline pumping. lastly hotspring was so relaxing water very warm and hot drinks taste good and cheap. dinner delicious buffet style. our shuttle was comfortable ride was 2 hours felt longer on the way back. our guide Oswaldo was amazing and funny. would definitely recommend and worth your $$$
Alex, our driver/guide was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I would 10/10 recommend this trip and he is a big reason why. He taught us so much about Costa Rica, and even made special stops so that we could try native fruits! He was funny, charming, entertaining, and accommodating (as different people needed different bathroom stops at different times) The zip lining was truly the highlight of this trip. It was super amazing, especially the little surprise they have at the end. If you are a thrill seeker, this is for you! The Hot Springs were also a major highlight, it was so calming and definitely a good time to try out the many Hot Springs they have. We did purchase food and drinks there on our own dime, and that was good. The only reason I give this four stars instead of five, is because both the lunch and the dinner were absolutely terrible. The lunch was cold and clearly not fresh. My fish tasted like it was prepared days ago and put in the refrigerator. The dinner food was more of a buffet style. But the food looked old and dry, and like it had been sitting out all day. (You eat dinner around 7:30 PM.) once we tasted it, it was clear that that was probably the same food sitting out since 11 AM. Someone in our party even had severe stomach pain for the next 24 hours. My only recommendation would be to lower your expectations of food, and bring your own nonperishable snacks so that you can survive the day. After lunch, I had a feeling dinner would be terrible, which was why we bought food at the Hot Springs location. I don’t think the food should be a reason not to go, you get a lot of things done in one day for a decent price with this tour. Hopefully you have Alex as your guide!
Brace yourself for a longggg day but it’s definitely worth it. Our tour guide Fernando was such a pleasure. He was informative, funny, personable and very kind. We also got along really well with the other people in our group. It was an amazing time and we did so much and learned so much about the Costa Rican culture. I definitely recommend
Guillermo did his best taking care of a group of 11 people. I don’t think they should exceed that ratio because it does seem pretty overwhelming… definitely do the zip line with the repel… brace yourself for long uncomfortable ride just in case… the couple in front of us reclined their seats and we barely had any space in the third row. Avoid the third row if you can. The drive is very long but there’s many stops. We spent a little too much time at one spot where we drank some delicious juice and had a snack. I had the strawberry juice and it was perfect. Lunch was delicious too, I had the steak. I’m glad we ate before the zip line tour because there’s a good amount of stairs going back up after repelling down. The hot springs were great ! Very relaxing not very busy, super clean showers with hot water and soap. They also provide a towel and a welcome drink! I wanted to mention the coffee was tasty at the first stop so definitely order one. We had coffee again at the resort where the hot springs were, complimented with a beautiful view of volcano arenal. For the falls I recommend getting a shot from the middle of the bridge because you get the full fall not just the bottom half. Dinner was great! We got to give our leftovers to the doggies. Guillermo was so helpful and dropped us off to our hotel even though it wasn’t within the area that they do dropoff. That was so nice after a long day out. You’ll have an opportunity to get some souvenirs too! Great experience to check off a number of things in one day. Started the day at 7am and came back at 9pm. Also we did get to see a couple sloths iguanas and one monkey.
This is definitely a full-day experience. Our driver was prompt and thoughtful throughout the experience, however, keep in mind that this is indeed a 14-hour day. While the trip description is accurate, it is creatively embellished. You will see sloths. You will see exotic birds. You will see iguanas. These sightings, however, are on the side of the road in a tree; over a bar edge in a restaurant and through a wired-window in a souvenir shop respectively. The volcano views will likely be from the van. I am a photographer and had my professional camera, so perhaps I was a bit over prepared. Your android or iPhone may be sufficient for window shots of both tbe waterfall and volcano. The zip lining activity and hot springs were the highlight of the trip for me. At the end of the seven zip lines is a surprise thrill drop. If you try it, just be prepared to walk up about 115 stairs to get back to the top. The hot springs was such a welcomed experience after the zip lining action. Be sure to pack a swimsuit and a change of clothes. The hot springs provide such a serene atmosphere. The lunch and dinner offerings were good. Both were at quaint little restaurants. Both had dogs walking around. (I hate dogs). But the service was good and the people were friendly. The driving is extensive. Our group had nine people, so we could spread out a bit. I couldn’t imagine being in such a van with a full load. There is no where to charge your phone and the WiFi is spotty. Overall, we met some amazing people from around the world and our driver was very nice. This excursion is a good way to see Costa Rican neighborhoods and learn bits and pieces of the culture.
I went on a quick trip to Costa Rica with my sister. If you are going to be in C.R. for a short amount of time, this excursion is an excellent option. Expect to be gone from at least 6 am to 10 pm (ish) as the tour is jam-packed with activities and sites. Our guide, Steven, was extremely friendly and easy to talk to. He was willing to answer any questions about the tour and about Costa Rica in general. I would also like to give props to our tour driver (unfortunately, I don't remember his name), who made sure we got to each pit stop safe and sound. My favorite part of the day was definitely zip lining (which I had never done before) as well as the hot springs. Thankfully, it did not rain at all during our tour day until we got to the hot springs. Even then, it only rained for about 30 minutes. During the tour, there is plenty of opportunities to munch on local snacks and cuisine. Overall, it was an amazing time, and I would highly recommend attending this tour!
A fantastic tour to experience what Costa Rica has to offer! A very special experience of the coffee plantaions, rain forest, zip lining, and hot springs. The meals were excellent!
Don’t book it’s basically just a long road trip with food stops the beginning of the day started with the coffee plantation that we did not get to visit due to it being closed they did not refund us for cause they thought the driver explaining it to us was the same as actually seeing the plantation, walking and having a experience of the plantation with a guide. We also did not get to go zip line the driver claimed that some people in the group did not want to but later on blamed it on traffic mind you it was a 14 hour excursion, seeing the volcano isn’t apart of the tour but it is advertised like it is so be aware of that. You only get to see the tribal people for 15 minutes they give you a shot of drink then you shoot a self made arrow and that it’s no history back story no cultural lesson. The “ iguana center” was the driver stopping on the side of the road and showing us iguana in a tree. The hot spring is not a volcano hot springs but instead them going to Paradise hot springs hotel which is really just pools set at different temperatures. If you stay in a Airbnb they won’t pick you up from the Airbnb they want you to meet them at the nearest hotel which defeats the purpose of paying for pick up and drop off.
This adventure was excellent value our guide. Iman was excellent. He took wonderful care of us, spoke English and Spanish equally well and made sure that we got to see everything that we wanted to being able to be upfront and close with a sloth within touching distant of it was amazing. The iguanas were spectacular to seewith thoroughly enjoyed the zip lining and the hot springs as well. We got to eat at two different places and the food was very good at both. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody who’s looking for a full fun adventure some day.
We loved our experience. We met wonderful people in our group. Jorge was a great tour guide and knowledgeable. If you are adventurous this is the tour for you. Ziplining through the rain forest was so fun but if you don’t want to do that you can choose to go to the hot spring earlier instead. We saw sloths, many birds, and iguanas. You get about 20 minutes to shop at a souvenir shop and at any of the stops along the way. The hot springs was a nice end to the day. Relaxing and peaceful. It is a jam packed full day experience, but so fun. Pros- Ziplining was the highlight. There was a variety of options for the food both vegetarian and meat. Cons- It is a long bus ride.. Our bus was full so it was a tight squeeze. If it is cloudy you will not be able to see the volcano, this was out of our control. Suggestions- Bring something to entertain yourself on the bus. There are going to be long periods of driving. Bring snacks, while you get lunch and dinner you might want something for the bus ride especially since dinner is after the hot spring about an hour out from that adventure.
Collected on time. Good communication. Saw lots of birds and sloths. Had an amazing zip line. My first. Felt safe. Left my shoes behind in the spa. Dilan made sure that they were collected and taken back to San Jose. Such amazing service. So impressed!!!!! Thanks Dilan. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My family and I had a fantastic trip with HARLEM and CHRISTIAN as our brilliant guide and driver. It was a really action-packed day, but the regular stop offs for food, refreshments and to see interesting sights made the day fly by. The coffee plantation was really interesting, the hummingbirds were sensational and the zip-lining was so much fun (we especially enjoyed the 'limo's to take us back up to the top!). The day was topped off by an amazingly relaxing time at the thermal springs, which the whole family enjoyed. Thanks so much for an amazing trip guys!!!
Honestly it was fun, but everything was cut short. Zip-lining, we couldn’t do the last couple lines cause something unexpected happened which is completely understandable. The issue of that I thought that at least meant we would have more time at the hit spring attraction but nope. We are given an 1hr and a half to get dressed to swim, swim, shower and get dressed again. Little to no time enjoying the experience. Driving everywhere was ssoooooo long. From one place to another was torture. Also, another time crunch was the souvenir shop. We’re tourists and wanna shop and couldn’t do that comfortably. Lastly, they should definitely rake volcano out of the description. We didn’t hike it nor stop to see it. Never did we have time to take photos of ourselves. It was so weird bc it was the entire day and they restricted us to do anything. Regardless, the tour guide was nice and the scenery was incredible. I think they need to be more organized. Overall expect driving for hours and hours.
Thanks to Go Tours Guide, Kenneth, this was a perfect ending to our stay in San Jose. Kenneth was so engaging with everyone on the bus: he shared facts about Costa Rica, was very knowledgeable about each place we stopped. He spotted a sloth in a tree so we stopped and everyone got out for the photo opportunity! Our stops included a coffee plantation, La Paz Waterfalls, Arenal Volcano, zip lining and hot springs. We ended our day with a stop at a road side restaurant for a great dinner. I would highly recommend this trip....and ask for Kenneth as your tour guide....he was the absolute best.
Fernando was a great tour guide. The trip was on time and we felt very safe. We were able to enjoy the trip with no worries.
Great experience. Fernando is well versed in the area and made the full day so much fun!! The zip lines were fun and with a great crew to support you.
Had a great time viewing the waterfall, the volcano and soaking in hot springs. If you're not up to anything strenuous, this is perfect.
Such an amazing experience! Our driver and guide (both men) were super friendly and talkative! They provided so much information, timing never felt rushed, it was a great experience DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!
Amazing trip! Harlem our guide and Will our driver were great as well! Very good pace and you will not be bored. Didn’t have time for breakfast and we stopped to try some tortillas which held us over for lunch. Zip lining was so fun and the hot springs had a bar! Would definitely book a trip with Harlem again 👍🏻
Did not see any waterfalls or the volcano. Went to a hot swimming pool that was labeled as hot springs. What a joke. Highlight was the ziplining
The operator was easy and quick to communicate with on messages! We missed our flight connection and so missed our tour but they so kindly offered us an alternative date and a different pick up point a couple of days later! We were so so grateful. Thank you!! Our tour guide Harlem was very welcoming and was very engaging with my two young boys. They also dropped us off at our hotel on the way back . The zip lining was a real adrenaline rush! And the hot springs very relaxing. It was a highlight also for my 8&11 yr olds. We missed the first half of the day but Harlem shared his amazing photos with us which were amazing! Thanks again! Hope to be back in costa rica soon
Fernando, our driver was amazing! He was informative, intuitive, energetic and very sweet. Would highly recommend. This tour only sees the volcano. You don't go on the volcano. The restaurants Fernando picked were top notch! Loved it. You do get a towel at the hot springs, so no need to bring one.
Great day out! Lots of driving, be ready to nap or take pictures. Coffee timing pretty spot on, lunch+dinner yummy yummy, and the hot springs to steal the show.
I had an amazing experience! Highly recommended. Our guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable, fun and takes awesome pictures :)!! This unique experience is so serene and peaceful. I felt one with nature and the experience left me feeling renewed, rejuvenated and so fulfilled. What an awesome way to see so much of Costa Rica in one day. Just beautiful!
Good services and very comfortable journey. We will do it again. This our second time we did Hawaii with you
This tour is a LONG day but very much worth it! Harlem was our tour guide and he was so kind and accommodating and shared so much knowledge about Costa Rica! This was a perfect tour, would make no improvements.
First time going to Costa Rica so my gf and I decided to try a day trip. So glad we did with this company. Our guide was Omar. Honestly, Omar was the best guide we had. He handled a group of, including us two, 9 people on the day trip. Omar was fun and informative with our activities and stops. He was professional and charismatic, got along well with the group. He ensured that we would be able to enjoy our day without a fuss. From the coffee shop, iguanas, zip line and hot springs. It was an amazing experience for sure. Lunch and dinner were delicious. Omar will make sure you are taken care of. Despite getting back to our hotel late, he got us there safely. I appreciate you Omar, I hope you get to read this, thank you so much for the day you gave us. Pura Vida
A fantastic tour - made all the special by the great guide Fernando ! He went out of his way to keep this interesting and went the extra mile when one of us got badly sick. A truly great tour
Our tour guide Kenneth was amazing and so helpful and knowledgeable about the history of Costa Rica. Everyone was so pleasant and the Go Adventure team was incredible and made my first zip line experience memorable! I would definitely do this tour again. Although it was an all day tour, it almost didn’t feel like it with all the stops at each attraction. Looking forward to coming back
The hot springs visit was great. The zip line tour was thrilling. The rest of the trip was meh. The weather was cloudy so we could not see the volcano. The weather is not the tour guide's responsibility, but the tour guide did not communicate well. He knew English, but did not tell the group when things were happening, when to be at the bus (which turned out to be a different time than what was on the viatour website), did not provide any background on the waterfall or coffee plantation we stopped at. He did not really engage with us much at all.
We had done 5 tours around Costa Rica and this has been by far the best one. Our driver and tour guide Juan was the best! Very understanding and accommodating. The Zip Line and the Hot Springs were the highlights and worth the extra costs. The La Paz waterfall was so beautiful. We also saw a second waterfall in a rest area where we got drinks and saw Emerald Toucans! The tour had it all! It was long but Juan kept us safe, comfortable and fed. Would do this again.
Our tour guide Alex went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time on our long day together. He stopped our van on our way to La Fortuna so we could see a sloth in a tree which was really cool. There were a few stops along the way which broke up the long drive. Ziplines and Hot Springs were great.
Definitely the drive to see the lush country side including birds, sloths, volcano, lunch and dinner. It was great tasting the native cuisine. Harlem was an excellent tour guide explaining the history etc. My ultimate experience was doing the 8 different zip lines. Exhilarating
We had a good time on this tour. Our tour guide Harlem has great knowledge on Costa Rica and made sure we were taken care of. We saw sloths. Hummingbirds and toucans, and leaned coffee plants. The highlight of the tour is the canopy zip lining, an unforgettable experience!
If you’re looking for a professional TOUR service that cares about your experience, look no further. My daughter and I booked the Costa Rican full day combine tour which include transportation pick up, coffee farm mini tour, volcano sightseeing, ziplining & rappelling, gift, hot springs, gift shop stops. Also lunch and dinner was included. It was a 15 hour day but so worth it. Thank you to all the transportation crew that motivated and helped me to conquer my fears. Special thanks to . Arthurudo and Harlem. They were friendly, professional, funny, and made us feel safe at all times. Harlem was able to translate from English to Spanish with easy. And taught us so many things about the beautiful island of Costa Rica. It was a 15 hour trip for us, so imagine how long it was for the driver and the guide. I gave them a $40USD tip each. They deserve it. They have 18 hour days and they always made you feel so energized Remember to bring cash. It was truly one of the best experiences to date. So happy I decided to do it.
We enjoyed the food, the good laughs, the detailed information on each place we stopped at, and most importantly, the ziplining and hot springs! Thank you to the amazing tour guide and every staff member along the way that took great care of us.
Everything was so good tour guy Hermes and driver victor Dudu vey helpful good take care above everything thank you all hard work company lucky to have all the guy work for them
This was the greatest day we had during our trip to Costa Rica!!! Our tour guide Fernando was so friendly and a great representation of Costa Rican culture. He was rich with knowledge of the country and it’s history and it was so fun to learn so much information about this beautiful country! I highly recommend doing this tour and getting Fernando as your guide if possible!!!!
It was amazing, our tour guide (Fernando) was very considered and he explained a lot about coffee! We could see sloths, iguanas, monkeys, and a very nice cascade. We ate typical food. The zip line, and the guys that help you are patient and cool. The hot springs were hot and relaxing! We met super nice people! I really enjoyed my time there!!
The entire trip was memorable. The tour guide was great. It was amazing. Costa Rica is full of wonder and I'm glad I was able to do it
This was such a fun & amazing experience from waterfalls to the lunch & seeing hummingbirds up close , ziplining. Amazing hot springs & volcano views ! & dinner most of all thankful for our driver Jeffery he was the best ever so informative, caring & respectful . My boyfriend left him phone in the van on the way home & he brought it to our hotel after his shift of driving us all love town . The most fun we've ever had , hands down !! Will be returning (:
Made it there and back safely. Food was amazing, nicely seasoned. Juices were awesome of course (everything's natural). Staff at each spot were super Friendly. Our guide made sure we saw sloths on our way to destinations. Guide was informative. We were picked up good timing. Activities were A LOT of fun. Left out around 550 a and returned around 9p.
