Juan Carlos was a great guide. Request him if you can. The hike is easy with a few stairs with rope handrails. The lunch in a banana left exceeded our expectations. Recommend bringing water shoes. The small rocks near swimming holes can be hard on bare feet.

This is our second time doing this tour and it n e again did. It disappoint. Juan Carlos was amazing and we were very happy to have him as our guide the second time around. This is such a great exposure to nature and to quote Juan Carlos. You learn to not just look and listen. You learn to observe. We’ll be back.

We had Cesar as our tour guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. And he kept the tour fun with nice facts and stories. Also, he was very sharp to point out the plants and animals we saw during the safari. And we got jump on two waterfalls! Highly recommend.

Put simply, I highly recommend this tour. The tour guides were very friendly and knowledge about the rainforest. They helped find us animals and helped us get some great pictures/videos. The price was worth it and the lunch at the end of the trip was so tasty. Overall I highly recommend this tour.

Very informative. You can tell the owner truly loved the land. We saw so many interesting and beautiful things, and the fruit feast at the end was so refreshing!

I could not have asked for a better experience and private tour. Our guide is passionate and very knowledgeable about the land. We saw red poisionous frogs, a snake, black and green frog, hawk, a stinky plant and so much more. The hikes were easy with breaks for picutres of plants or waterfalls. Our guide took plenty of pictures during our experience and lunch was amazing. Our group talked about the beans until the day we left costa rica. A must do.

This is with out a doubt one of the best excursions I’ve ever been on. It is run by a family who really care about the experience you have. We traveled though the jungle and hiked to several very beautiful waterfalls. They drive us to the top of the mountain where we enjoys coconut, watermelon and bananas. Once back at the house they prepared us a delicious lunch with coffee. Don’t hesitate on this tour it is awesome.

Had an amazing time with César and JC! A group of 7 of us went for my birthday and saw Toucans, frogs, birds and swam in waterfalls. The outlook at the end is beautiful and the lunch they provided was amazing!! JC was so thoughtful and caring throughout the tour, doing his best to make sure we didn’t miss any wildlife/plants along the way and giving detailed descriptions of everything. Great for nature and adventure lovers

Cesar was amazing. Very polite, knowledgeable and fun. The hike was easy and covered so not too hot. Swimming in the waterfall was spectacular and the lookout at the end was the perfect topper. The Hacienda restaurant was also very clean, great view and great food.

Cesar knew the hills and paths like a pro! It was such a wonderful and educational trip. We were so impressed by the waterfalls and the hike itself. Having lunch home cooked at the end of the trip was a nice treat, too! So delicious!!

We had the most incredible experience on a safari hike in Costa Rica! The tour was amazing from start to finish. Hiking through the lush scenery, swimming in not one but two breathtaking waterfalls, and enjoying an absolutely delicious local lunch made this day unforgettable. The guide, Cesar, was knowledgeable, very friendly, and made the whole experience feel so special. It was the perfect mix of adventure, nature, and culture. This was an absolutely amazing adventure! Picked up right from our resort, 3 to 4 hour nature walk and 4x4 ride, complete with swimming in waterfall pools, and fresh coconut drinks at the top of the mountain overlooking the Pacific. The highlight of the tour was the expertise by our guide, Juan, Carlos, who is a true nature, lover, and professional historian! This doesn't feel touristy at all.

Even though we visited on a rainy day, the tour was an incredible experience. The scenery was breathtaking, and our guide, Juan Carlos, was amazing. We hiked to two waterfalls and swam in the pools. The drive on the jeep track roads in a 4x4 vehicle was fun and scenic. The highlight of the tour was the breathtaking viewpoint from the highest point on the property. The tour ended with an amazing traditional lunch at the Hacienda Ebano restaurant. Would definitely return.

Caesar and his wife were outstanding. Very knowledgeable and kind. We learned so much and had a blast. Highly recommend.

The tour was beautiful, with spectacular views, crystal-clear waterfalls, frogs, the safari ride and the lunch was delicious. I really enjoyed it a lot!!!

This tour was amazing. They were so knowledgeable and welcoming. Best one we could’ve picked for our family. The views were breath taking, conversation was throughout and we learned so much of the background of the land, beautiful waterfalls. Wouldn’t have change anything, and the food/desert was AMAZING!!!! Thank you for this experience, my kids and us adults enjoyed it so much. We will revisit in the future.

The hike through the jungle to waterfalls was very peaceful and the water fall was the perfect refresher. Juan Carlos was our guide and did a superb job. Explained well on all things we saw and was diligent on pointing out wild life. Hike was easy. Did well in tevas, shorts and tank with swim wear underneath. Bring water.

César and Juan Carlos were excellent guides and really nice guys. Doing a private tour was well worth the expense — it shaves off a lot of hiking on roads and takes you right to the good stuff. We got to see lots of awesome flora and fauna, a lot of which we would have missed without guides — think birds, frogs, and cool plants. (Note to self: always do the guided experience.) We saw beautiful waterfalls, 3 of which we could swim in. The water was a super refreshing temperature and not too cold. The hiking was fairly easy. My wife, who is 3 months into recovery for a ruptured achilles tendon, had an easy time. The tour culminated in a trip (driven, not walked) to the highest point of the property, where we could see all the way to the ocean. We ended the tour with one last dip in a waterfall and a delicious homemade lunch. Do not hesitate to book this tour. 10/10 would do it again!

I loved the service, you feel really connected with nature and there are so many beautiful things to see in the hiking trails. I wanted to stay all day in the swimming holes and lunch made me feel home. Amazing experience.

Cesar, Juan Carlos, Carolina where knowledgeable, helpful and delightful guides on our fun safari tour in a family with ages 10 to 80. The safari vehicle had comfy seats. Well maintained trails, some with rope or metal railings made the trek to the waterfalls more than doable for one and all. Most fun of all was “wading” into the waterfall pools into the cool water. I’d recommend wearing cheapo water shoes on the rocky bottom. The kids loved jumping off the sides into the gushing water. The entire time, Cesar was on standby in case anyone needed assistance. But best of all was he took all sorts of photos and videos that he openly shared with us using “air drop.” It certainly was a fun day for all of us.

We did this tour with our whole family, all nine of us, and it was amazing. We are not new to Costa Rica and have a home here. However, there was so much to see, to learn and taste that we will be back to do it again!! We went hiking in the jungle, saw magnificent waterfalls. Swam in a waterfall pool, had a gourmet lunch, and the best view of the area at a lookout point with delicious fresh guava and coconut milk! Our hosts are super special and so smart! Carolina and Caesar you are the best!!!

The guys were absolutely awesome. They were very educational and hospitable. They brought us to amazing views of the waterfalls and the hiking trail was very doable. Overall an amazing experience.

Great tour! We really enjoyed our morning and afternoon with Cesar. We had the chance to see incredible sights in the jungle, jump in waterfalls, swim in refreshing pools, and take in beautiful ocean views. The lunch was OUTSTANDING! Authentic home cooked Costa Rican food that included beef, black beans, rice, potatoes, and plantains. The meal was topped off with fresh coffee and local sweets. Highly recommend!

It is a beautiful place, the rivers, the trees, the views are incredible! The tour guide was very attentive and the food excellent.

My favorite part of the experience was the company I when with including the Hacienda Ebano team it was one of the most wonderful experiences I had, so was my 4 year old daughter and my boyfriend ❤️ we really have a good time!!! For future visitor's I recommend to enjoy the tour as much as they can cause they will be amazed and in love with our beautiful country Costa Rica ¡¡¡ PURA VIDA !!!

The waterfalls were amazing and we learned a lot about the Costa Rican rain forest and animals. The ocean view at the top of the farm blew us away.

Cesar, Diego, Arlim, and Carolina were excellent guides. It was great fun. And I loved the water falls and swimming pools. I am not crazy about snakes but I felt honored that a beautiful coral snake came out to greet us (in a very pura vida way). Cesar, thank you for sending the pictures of me swimming. Perfect individual tour with Juan Carlos into the rainforest with waterfall, swimming, super views from the mountain top and lunch. We have seen various animals and Juan Carlos has explained a lot about the rainforest and environmental protection. We started with a short tour by offroader and then on foot through the jungle. It was just fascinating including waterfalls and swimming in the river pools. At the Mountain Top we had fresh coconut and other fruits and later on we had a delicious lunch in our own restaurant directly at the office. This tour is an insider tip as private and therefore absolutely quiet nature. The tour will start with max. 6 people carried out, there were only two of us. And if you are looking for a great night: the Paradiselodge about 300m from the office is also an absolute recommendation.

It was the perfect family excursion. The safari, walking with guide, view, waterfalls and meal just wow!!!! I really recommend!

The trip to the rainforest was incredibly great. short hike to the falls with bath in the natural pool. Many animals such as poison frogs, turtles and centipedes seen. The food in the restaurant was great too. Highly recommended!!

I've been living in the area for 30 years and I've never visited anything like this, There are no words to describe this hacienda , it has a spectacular location, surrounded by so much nature with excellent access to the falls , a super cute hiking and the trails were very well marked , plus the experience that Mr. Cesar Gonzales provides is incredible a great human being and his traditional Costa Rican food is incredible. We will be back soon without a doubt, we recommend 100%

We booked the waterfalls safari tour and we loved it! I liked that the trails are easy to access and have primary forest and always a river, pool or waterfall to jump into. We were also lucky to see many red and green frogs. Typical lunch in homemade and warm banana leaf, very delicious. The adapted truck made it more fun to enjoy different forest and sea views. I recommend it for couples, families with children and older adults. Thanks to the guide and ranch Ebano. We will be back :-)
