San Jose Exclusive Bar Crawl With Drinks And Club Entrys

I went to the meeting place and no one showed up. I had to call to only be informed that the guide was not able to do the tour. I was told that they tried to contact me, but no call was received or WhatsApp. The area was very busy filled with a very young crowd. Very disappointed to not be told earlier that the event would be cancelled. I paid uber and was there as planned. As a customer we can only cancel 24 hours in advance and it should be the same policy for the guides.

The tour guide did not showed up. Waited for over an hr. I would not recommend this tour. I requested my refund.

Did this bar crawl while visiting San Jose and it was easily one of the highlights of the whole trip. Franco and Armando were awesome hosts. They knew exactly where to take the group, kept the energy up all night, and actually made it fun instead of just going through the motions. Hit a great mix of spots, met some cool people, and never felt like we were being rushed. If you’re in San Jose, just do it. Way better than figuring it out on your own. The initial meet up was sketchy because the door person tried to charge us to go in to meet the host, who was outside. But it turned out fine. I had a blast and definitely recommend to anyone. host Franco was amazing took us to 4 different places and after the tour, he decided to stick around with us as the group were mostly visitors…. Amazing guy.

This is a fun but simple bar crawl in the Cali area of San Jose. This crawl has a great staff. We met at Caccio’s, had a drink, and played a memory game - everyone takes a turn saying: name, city, and what we love. Then you go around again repeating - if you fail - you drink. A good ice breaker. After the game we went to F for rows and rows of shots. Then Chupitos - with unique and themed shots, like getting in a boxing helmet and getting punched by the barkeeper after a shot. They have endless gimmics, flaming shots, snow ski shots, and more. It was fun. Simple, but fun.

Juan was an awesome guide for the bar crawl. He took us to experience some of the most popular bars in the city. The drinks were good and the music was great. He took the time to help us bond as a group during the experience. We came as two people and left with five new friends. Overall, it was a great experience and a great night.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself on this bar crawl with my friends, the Host (Felipe), and other travelers we met that night. We chose to go on the 5th. There was an instant connection, that was palpable. Everyone was there to have fun, and we all did. Our host was very hospitable, chill, relaxed, and knowledgeable at the same time. I felt safe in his hands, especially when we were walking around the area with all that traffic. He made sure everyone was accounted for at all times. It was a very fun way to experience the nightlife here in San Jose, Costa Rica. I would go back if I were to come here again, because you get a little taste of this, little taste of that, and I like dipping my toes into different things when I visit a place. I don't think we would've been able to pull that night off on our own to be honest. So I'm glad we booked a bar crawl for the nightlife experience.

Due to family emergencies our original tour guide canceled. So the owner of discover came to the rescue! It was a night of learning the culture and nightlife. We also booked the hidden gems experience for the next day! The hidden gems experience was 10/10! Worth every penny! We got taken to a private waterfall experience, seen beautiful jungle views, got tossed around by waves on a gorgeous beach. Additionally we got taken to a beautiful restaurant with delicious food and drinks! Then you end the day at the most beautiful view watching the sunset! He’s also the sweetest guy for real! If you’re not booking with discover you are truly missing out!

Such a great night! Got to meet and make some new friends during this night out. The selection of bars was great and everyone was very friendly! Great experiences and hope to do more of them when I go back to Costa Rica.

Once again an incredible experience, this time we invited some of our friends along that were on holiday as well. We all had such a fun night, the bars had great atmospheres and once again we have to thank our host Juan!

Amazing host and experience. Juan took our group out to several locations, tour was much longer than expected and very fun. Drinks were great. Juan is very knowledgeable of San Juan, and a very responsible guide. We were able to immediately enter all places, no wait. We spent a great deal of time at each location, tour was very relaxed and not rushed at all. Juan speaks English fluently, and is very nice in conversation. Great host. He also has other tours and adventure options in San Juan.

Juan was very understanding even tho we miss the meet up time he waited for us and went above and beyond for us. To the point of showing us some place in the city going out of his way to explain what the meant to the country. Juan is a very cheerful person he’s wonderful and very passionate about his job

The bar/pub crawl with Juan Manuel was a highlight of our trip! He took us to some really great bars and discos, where we got to try local beers and liquors. It’s a perfect way to be among local Costa Ricans and meet other like minded travelers. It’s a safe and fun way to go out in a place you’re not familiar with. Juan Manuel is friendly, funny and a delight to be around. We had a great time and I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone looking for a great night out in San Jose!
