Private Shuttle From Sjo Airport To San Jose City

Our driver Allan was great. We had an exceptionally long, wait in immigration. Allan had already contacted me to let me know he was waiting. I advised him it would probably be a while and it took us an hour and a half. He was waiting there for us patiently. As we drove through the city, he gave us so much information about places we could visit. it was almost like having a tour guide. I would not hesitate to book this service again.

Easy to find outside the terminal and Flory was a great driver! Well worth booking to get from the airport to your destination.

Ride never showed up. I was left at the airport for hours. When I called the driver he hung up on me and did not answer subsequent phone calls from both me and Viator. I was forced to find alternate transportation.

We informed to walk to a certain restaurant to meet our driver. When we figured out where the restaurant was, the was no driver. It turns out that the driver was in her car and expected us to know where she was parked. There should have been better communication.

They made sure they found me and the driver was very pleasant. I was very relaxed and the driver made sure I was satisfied with the radio music playing.

The company sent me clear and easy instructions about the meeting place. It's easy to follow. Mary (the driver) is super friendly and nice. She also sent me Whatsapp messages prior to my arrival and once I arrived. The car is very comfortable and clean.

After exiting the airport, I was met by my driver holding a soon with my name. We walked to her car and away we went!

This trip was cancelled- I did not cancel it and all of a sudden got a cancellation notice with a refund. As it happened the day I was to land I was left scrambling for transportation as it was all booked - I ended up with a taxi.

It was no show , they never picked us up! We end up going with another person, it was not a company it was a friend of the person from the 3rd party company , also we waited like 1/2 hr at the airport while they were looking for someone else to pick us up!

Check for signs with your name as soon as you exit the airport. The driver did not stand in front of the assigned spot.

It wasn't exactly what we expected. We were contacted after arrival and told exactly where to meet. When we arrived at the location no one was there to meet us and did not answer the phone when we tried to call him. Eventually we found a person with our name on a sign outside of the designated pick up area. We were then told to wait 15-20 min for a driver. We were then picked up by a small, personal car with a driver who could not speak English. He did deliver us to the correct hotel and was a good driver. I had expected a more comfortable transfer from the airport to our hotel.

Driver was pleasant, on time, easy to locate at San Jose CR airport. Online communication worked well. No one answered phone from airport.

Driver did not show up. Received a call that he was in the parking lot and would meet us at the designated area in 2 minutes. 15 minutes later he still had not arrived. We took a cab. I can not find a way to contact Viator to get a refund. Very poor service.

Easy to book through Viator. However it took the local shuttle company 45 minutes to find and get us in their shuttle at the airport. We were standing directly in front of the restaurant as directed by the company in their instructions however they could not find us. Finally a worker named Alex came with a sign with our names - Yay! He moved us to another location on a busy curb and said he would return with the driver. Another long wait. Then a nice lady from the company kept trying to call us on What's App which, frankly I'm not that familiar with this app although I did download it prior to the trip. Was I supposed to have their phone numbers pre-loaded? So I had to try and figure that app out while standing on a noisy airport curb in a foreign country. Eventually we spoke by phone and she found us. She told us the driver had been caught in traffic. Finally the driver arrived and we got underway. I was also confused about who I should tip since I dealt with three people - two at the airport and one driver. The company people were pleasant, but it was not a smooth operation.

Very pleased with how they handled our situation. Our flight arrived at SJO at 11:57 pm and the ride was scheduled for 1 am (next day) to our hotel. No driver showed up so eventually we took a cab. The next morning I found I had mistakenly given them the wrong day. Without hesitation they refunded my charges. Very thankful they cleared this up and we could start our vacation on the right foot!

Driver Johnny M. was on time. He texted us the meeting point on Whatsapp. He was courteous and professional. Car was clean. He drove us safely to hotel.

My flight was delayed and we missed our flight to San Jose and didn’t make our shuttle. Shuttle would not allow changes to be picked up the next day on the only flight we could get to San Jose

Mostly good. Had to search for contact person. Outside of told waiting spot. He was busy talking with friends. Driver very nice and made good effort to communicate with us.

Trip was well organized by Viator, professionalism from the time I book the trip to my arrival to San Jose.

Our transport from SJO airport to our hotel was perfect. Our driver texted and followed up with a call to welcome us to Costa Rica and remind us where he will be waiting for us. This is the BEST way to get into Costa Roca from the airport! Instructions are clear and all about keeping you safe in unfamiliar terrain. Connecting with staff via WhatsApp and onsite was efficient. And our driver? Amazing! With her little English and my poor Spanish, we had the best time talking during the ride. Lola was warm and friendly, made us feel welcome and confident in our language skills. What a perfect way to start our vacation.

Awful experience. Van didn’t pick us up. Tried calling with nobody picking up the phone. Wr called Viator and they credited and then later got a message the driver had an accident. Why wouldn’t someone contact us from their office and let us know? Being stranded in a foreign country and scrambling for other arrangements with small children is stressful. Don’t book this!!!
