Discover Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the main touristic destinations of Costa Rica. You will be picked up from your San Jose Hotel in the morning in an air-conditioned vehicle, and then you will enjoy a scenic drive towards the Central Pacific Region of the country. On the way to Manuel Antonio, you will savor a delicious Costa Rican breakfast; and you will also have the chance to stop at the largest fruit stand of the country, where you can learn about the huge variety of tropical fruits of Costa Rica.
Continue your trip and stop at the famous crocodile bridge, where you will have the chance to observe many crocodiles in their natural habitat from a safe viewing point, some of the animals observed here are as big as 6 meters long (18 feet).
Following you will make a stop at Tarcoles Beach, where scarlet macaws are normally observed in their natural habitat.
Afterward, visit the Jaco Beach look-out point, from where you can get great views of the most popular coastal town of Costa Rica.
Continue your tour with one hour-guided hike at Manuel Antonio National Park and learn about the huge biodiversity of the Rainforests of Costa Rica. Be on the look-out for wildlife species such as howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys, sloths, toucans, agoutis, tropical birds, and the cutest mammal of Costa Rica, the squirrel monkey. At the end of your hike, you will have a few free hours to swim in the warm waters of the Manuel Antonio Beaches and feel in real contact with nature. If you prefer, you can continue hiking in the numerous nature trails of this national park.
Later on the early afternoon hours, savor a delicious Costa Rican lunch in a restaurant with great views of the ocean and the jungles of the national park. After this final stop you will be taken back to your hotel in the San Jose area.

Harlem is amazing! Love the experience. 100% recommended - best tour guide of out there
We enjoyed Osa's tour very much, she is very professional and with her, we were able to see sloths, special crabs, etc. Enjoyed it very much!
If you go with Alex, you will have the best time doing this tour. He is great at explaining every detail of the park. Thanks to his patience and hearing expertise we were available to see al lot of diversity.
Very knowledgeable tour guide that cares about you at all times. Clear instructions throughout the day. Makes several stops during the tour
Great day! We were the only group booked on this tour for the day, but Fernando made sure to give us lots of information about the provinces of Costa Rica and about Central America as a whole. Manuel Antonio NP was beautiful, where we got to see monkeys playing in the trees and several types of plants. Fernando gave us a ~25 minute tour (walk) from the entrance of the park to the beach, where he then left us for a few hours. The water was incredibly warm and the sun was strong! We easily could've stayed another 3 hours. Lunch was served on the roof of a local hotel overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
It was a great experience …we started on time and we had a fun time with Sergio. We would definitely book tours with this company again!
It was amazing, we saw several animals, the beach was beautiful and the weather is perfect!
Everything was amazing, thanks for a good day
Man, what a great time! We considered driving ourselves but watching the scenery was better and we wouldn't have known the fun spots to stop for a bite or quick side trek. Alex B got us to the NPMA safely and was a fantastic guide... I definitely would've missed spotting several of the local fauna as we walked along the trail. The beach stop was a very enjoyable experience, as well. All in all, will definitely work with this Go Tous again. Strongly consider activities through this group during your trip! Pura vida, baby...Pura vida.
Alex blanco was amazing, he was so organized, prompt and knowledgeable. We saw sloths, snakes, funny bugs, such “cute” monkeys (had to be careful the cutest might steal!!!) we felt comfortable and knew we were in great hands.
Alex was so nice and patience with all of us! We really enjoyed the tour!!
Alex was very enthusiastic and friendly. He showed us many animals which would have been very elusive if he wouldn’t spot them for us. He also went out of the way to accomodate my families vegetarian needs.
Alex was really amazing with spotting animals and even took a bunch of photos for the group and later sent it to us. Would recommend!
Alex is an amazing tour guide, very professional in every aspect. He is the best!!
The tour was amazing and time well spent.
This is an amazing tour! There was so much to see. Our tour guide Alex was absolutely amazing.
Alex was a wonderful guide and driver. We saw so much wildlife that we never would have seen without him. The Manuel Antonio Park trip is worth the ride. I would recommend this trip to all. Single travelers, couples and family would enjoy the day!
Great day trip from San Jose. We had a wonderful guide and driver, Oxana was our guide and we saw many animals because of her sharp eyes! Breakfast and lunch stops were very good. We did an extra stop for water. Be sure to bring plenty of water! The tour does not have water on the van. (They should have a cooler).
Everything was good specially our tour gide Alex amazing guy and respectful
The tour takes you throught the Manuel Antonio park. You'll get the occasion to see wildlife and to swim in the beaches. Alex is an amazing guide! Shout out to him
The tour to Manuel Antonio was very enjoyable. Alex the tour guide was very knowledgeable, personable and friendly. He made the experience so much better. The day was well organised, lunch was really good. We managed to see many animals within the park thanks to Alex, including monkeys, sloths and crabs. I'd definitely recommend this tour.
Host went above and beyond for us
It is a long drive so prepare for that. You’re in a group and we were with slow people and that was frustrating. The guide was really good though!
What an excellent day! I highly recommend this day trip! Is it long? Yes! Was it awesome also YES! We saw crocodiles, Scarlet Macaws, Sloths, Monkeys, Snakes, Lizards, beautiful views, had a great breakfast with a view and an even better lunch. What a great way to spend a day in Costa Rica!
Wonderful experience, had great time and fun with Alex
Amazing trip.Alex was an outstanding guide and ensured that everyone was well looked after. Please remember to take reusable water bottle as plastic not allowed in the Park.Lots of wildlife to be seen!!Thank you!!
Amazing, Alex the guide is amazing
We had an amazing experience with Alex. He was very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of information throughout the trip. Would definitely recommend!
Jorge and Ronald were great! There was only two of us and they were still enthusiastic about giving us the tour and full experience. We saw lots of wildlife (sloths, toucan, monkeys, etc) and learned a lot about Costa Rica’s agriculture and history. There were lots of cool stops along the way that made the drive feel shorter too. Breakfast and lunch were delicious. Overall, a wonderful day and excellent experience!
our guide was amazing, i forgot his name but i took a picture with him. he was so patient and friendly and explained everything so clearly.
He was a great guide! He told us history and great facts about Costa Rica
We loved our experience with Alex. He was an amazing and thoughtful guide that made sure we were enjoying ourselves every step of the way. He was very informative about the history and the wildlife of the national reserve. Very kind soul. We would recommend this trip to anyone looking for an immersion into the wild of Costa Rica with amazing guides around you.
Alex Blanco was great, he was so sweet.
Nice trip! Alex is a great guide!
Alex did an amazing job as our tour guide and driver! He was super attentive to guests who needed extra care in our group. He was super energetic although he had a lot of us to keep up with. He was able to spot animals with his naked eye then show us through his telescope. He prepared us for everything (entry rules for Manuel Antonio, the heat, etc). Know that it is a very long day and that it is very hot and humid in the park so be prepared.
Had an amazing time visiting Manuel Antonio National Park. The park was beautiful, full of wildlife, and the beaches were incredible. Alex was also great, freely and helpful.
Alex was the most amazing tour guide. He was so attentive to all our needs. He showed us monkeys, sloths, lizards, and crabs on our walk through Manuel Antonio national park. We got to spend ~2 hours at the beaches and had the freedom to swim, hike, or do whatever we wanted which was amazing. After, we had lunch at the most beautiful rooftop restaurant. I will recommend this excursion for anyone, and I HIGHLY recommend Alex for the tour guide. He truly is the best!
We recognize that this park is several hours from San Jose and appreciated the other stops. However, the time with the guide in the park itself was very short.
Finally I could see sloths. Alex is very friendly and professional.
George or Jorge (not sure of spelling~ should have asked!) was wonderful. Finished our tour with a really good rooftop lunch with an amazing view! He even did an extra stop to let us capture the sunset. Beach was beautiful!
Alex our guide was amazing, he was so funny and knowledgeable. We called him Eagle Eye Alex because he was able to spot even the smallest insects on the hike. The day was enjoyable, my mother and I were actually the only one on the tour because many cancelled due to the construction on the alligator bridge. Breakfast and lunch was very good, they had vegetarian options for us which was great! The day is long and you’re in the van for a while but it’s mainly due to the traffic and construction. Overall, Alex and the tour was great, I loved seeing all the animals in their natural habitat! Make sure you have sunscreen and lots of water it is very humid. If you want to swim at the beach bring your swim suit and a towel. There are foot washing stations on the trail back to where you’ll meet your guide but it’s a bit of walk till you get there. Make sure you go to the bathroom before you get back on the bus to San Jose, it is a long way back and you might have to take a different back route that goes through the mountains with no places or very limited places to stop to use the bathroom.
Alex is such a great guide! He’s very informative and funny! We had a blast today ! Alex went above and beyond on our tour. He was amazing at spotting soooo many different animals at the National Park . I would highly recommend Alex as your tour guide.
The guide/driver was in a big hurry all the time, very poor local information during the trip, just driving to destinations. Couple quick stops, treating us customers as a kindergarten children. The wildlife tour was a big disappointment because of the guide having rush again all the time. Breakfast was poor, but lunch was great. The trip time wasn't what was announced, it took 3 hours to collect all people from hotels and same thing when we returned (6 h for us, because we were the first to pick up and last to drop of) Great opportunity for a great trip, but because of the guide, not worth the money.
Alex was a great guide. We saw lots of animals, and he was really good at spotting them even when up in trees and hard to see. Food was delicious, too.
3⭐️ tour 1⭐️ tour guide Jorge (maybe Jose) couldn’t tell you because he didn’t really speak to English speakers The experience to & at Manuel Antonio National Park was okay. Breakfast and lunch were decent. We did see one crocodile at the bridge. The stop at Jaco was nice. The guided hike at Manuel Antonio was ok. We were able to spot some wildlife including a sloth, monkeys, iguanas/lizards, and a snake. Our tour guide was the worst. Avoid him at all costs! If you’re booking this tour and you are able to select a tour guide, choose anyone but him. No one could be worse! If he spoke 50 word in English the entire tour, that’s a lot. The tour was 12 hours long and he spoke to the one passenger who was fluent in Spanish the entire time. There were 7 people on the tour and the tour guide spoke to 1 the entire trip. If I needed to ask a question he was not able to answer because his knowledge of the English language was restricted to the script he was provided during training. He could not articulate the meet up point correctly. Luckily for me I am an experienced solo traveler and am decent at finding my way around. However, that is not the point. I paid for this tour and expected information and guidance from the tour guide. The entire 4 hour journey back to San Jose, the driver, tour guide, and the visitor from Mexico blasted music and spoke like 3 frat boys the entire time. Wildlife that we passed roadside was pointed out solely to the one guest in Spanish. Do not advertise that this tour is provided in English when the tour guide doesn’t speak the language nor does he care to. He didn’t even try. Hands down the worst tour guide I’ve ever had!
Beautiful Pacific and Caribbean beaches with lots of monkeys, Sloths, helmet crabs included. Remember to take a metal water container. Enough water sources on the way.
We had a wonderful trip with Alex, who is a great guide - funny, knowledgable and engaged. National park is beautiful and well worth the visit. Definitely recommend.
Alex is a very nice and experienced tour guide. Breakfast and lunch are included and the food is good.
It was so great experience!!!
