Great place to visit. Some of the activities require a lot of walking. Need to be in good shape to do them. We had a great time. The tour guide was very knowledgeable.

Day 1

Upon arrival in Costa Rica, we will have a guide waiting for you at the airport exit. Our guide will help you with your luggage and take you to your hotel in San José.
Day 2
2
We start our day very early, at 5:30 a.m., when we will pick you up at your hotel to start our adventure to the beautiful area of the Central Pacific. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to observe crocodiles in their natural habitat and enjoy several viewpoints with breathtaking panoramic views of the Pacific coast. When you arrive in Quepos, an exciting catamaran tour awaits, where you can relax and enjoy unlimited drinks on board, except for beers. This tour is specially designed for whale watching (depending on the season), dolphins and sea turtles. In addition, we include a fun snorkeling tour and a delicious lunch on board, so you can live a complete and unforgettable experience.
After our catamaran tour, we will continue with a fascinating guided tour of Manuel Antonio National Park, a natural paradise where you can observe an impressive variety of animals in their habitat, such as howler monkeys, sloth bears, raccoons, deer, snakes, guatusas and much more. Our 35-minute walk in the park will take you through wildlife-filled trails, and you’ll have time to relax and swim on one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, recognized among the top 10 globally. In addition, along the tour, you will enjoy the panoramic views from 4 spectacular viewpoints, perfect for lovers of nature and photography." This approach highlights the diversity of wildlife, the beauty of the park and the exclusivity of the views, creating a more attractive and memorable experience.
Day 3
3
We start the morning with a delicious Costa Rican coffee, recognized worldwide for its quality and flavor, accompanied by a typical breakfast. This energetic start prepares us for a unique experience on a coffee tour through the country's most important coffee-growing region. During the tour, we will explore each stage of the coffee process, from the manual harvesting of the beans to their drying, roasting, and grinding. We will learn about the climatic and geographical conditions that make Costa Rican coffee one of the best in the world and we will learn about the hard work of the local coffee growers. Furthermore, we will have the opportunity to taste different varieties and aromas, understanding the art behind each cup of coffee. An unmissable experience for lovers of this iconic drink.
After the coffee tour, we will travel 20 kilometers through the Poás coffee zone to reach the Poás Volcano National Park, home to one of Costa Rica's most impressive and active volcanoes. This colossus, with an altitude of 2,708 meters, houses the second largest crater in the world, with a diameter of 1.5 kilometers. From the viewpoint, if conditions allow, we can admire its impressive turquoise lagoon, formed by acidic waters, and observe the fumaroles emerging from its caldera. Our guide will tell us about the volcanic activity of Poás, its recent eruptions, and its impact on the ecosystem. Surrounded by a unique cloud forest, this experience will allow us to feel the force of nature in its maximum expression up close.
To finish our excursion spectacularly, we will head to the La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a natural paradise that houses five impressive waterfalls surrounded by the lush tropical jungle. Along the trail, we will witness the beauty of the local flora, with species such as orchids and bromeliads, while the sound of the falling water accompanies us. Furthermore, we will explore an animal sanctuary that houses more than 110 species, including toucans, butterflies, and the emblematic sloth. This experience will be complemented with a tasting of cheese and fresh dairy products, prepared on the spot, which will give us a sample of the authentic flavors of the region. A perfect closing for an adventure full of nature and culture.
Day 4
4
Our tour begins at 7:00 a.m. with pick-up from your hotel in San Jose, from where we will begin a fascinating 2-hour trip through the mountains of northern Costa Rica, heading to the picturesque town of Fortuna. Upon arrival, we will be greeted by a spectacular view of the majestic Arenal Volcano. Next, we head to the famous suspension bridges, a unique experience in which you will walk along 11 bridges suspended between the treetops. From there, you will have the opportunity to observe monkeys and a variety of animals typical of the region, while enjoying panoramic views of the Lake and Arenal Volcano, creating unforgettable memories of Costa Rican nature.
Our next stop will be at one of the best hot spring resorts in the area, where our guide will show you the various pools and facilities. You will notice that the water, directly from the volcano, has a perfect temperature and has rejuvenating properties, ideal to release stress and revitalize body and mind. With more than 15 pools of completely natural water, which originate from the Tabacon River and flow directly from the volcano, you can enjoy different temperatures and functions, designed to give you a unique and completely revitalizing relaxation experience.
Day 5
5
A true adventure in Costa Rica would not be complete without an exciting canopy tour through a cloud forest. This unique and safe experience will allow you to experience the thrill of sliding along 12 cables, including a Superman cable, and traversing 24 platforms suspended in the lush jungle. In addition, you can enjoy the adrenaline rush of the Tarzan Swing and the Mad Horse, all in a controlled and completely safe environment, so that you live a very enjoyable adventure experience full of emotion
Day 6
6
We begin our tour at 7:00 a.m. from San Jose, taking the ascent to the highest volcano in Costa Rica. Along the way, we will enjoy spectacular views of the Central Valley from various viewpoints, while observing landscapes of crops and livestock that characterize this region. The Irazú Volcano, with its towering 3,432 meters above sea level (about 12,000 feet), is the highest in Costa Rica and remains active. In its main crater, you will find a fascinating lagoon of a vibrant turquoise color. We will have the opportunity to walk along the trails surrounding what was once the main crater, exploring this unique volcanic landscape in stunning surroundings
After our descent from the volcano, we will head to the quiet viewpoint of Orosi, a place full of history dating back to the time of Spanish colonization. At this historic site, it was where Juan Vázquez de Coronado, the conqueror of the region, established his trade and left his mark on the area. Here, you can enjoy a moment of peace while taking in panoramic views that combine natural beauty and historical legacy.
Day 7

We invite you to enjoy a unique experience on the fifth best river in the world for rafting: the Pacuare River. Our all-inclusive tour offers you the best adventure on this stunning river, with 5 hours of sailing through exciting rapids, surrounded by spectacular natural landscapes. We had an EXCELLENT tour guide named Hairo from Summer Travel CostaRica. Very knowledgeable and he was an excellent driver. We had an awesome..highly recommend him and the company.
First please increase Hayro’s salary by 2-3 times. He is a gem! Truly an amazing person- we cannot thank him enough. Not only is he so responsible and safe but so knowledgeable and kind. My teenager cheered each time he was our guide! We saw so many things and learned so so much. We will talk about this for years and years! We will so be back and book tours with Summer Travel CR! Summer Travel - just some side thoughts- let people know early what to pack earlier and have them exchange cash to colones. Travelers- make sure to bring cash for tips and carry a bit in your pocket. I felt badly when I didn’t have cash on me (such as during zip lining - those men were beyond amazing, I so wanted to give them tips). Also - traffic is so bad in CR so sometimes you may feel a little rushed but it’s so you can get everything in- I would still recommend this package even though it was a lot - we made so many memories! Such a great introduction to this country. The only thing that we were somewhat disappointed with was the hotel. It’s a nice hotel, clean and staff are friendly. Breakfast was pretty good- standard hotel food with a little CR flare (and definitely better fruit than in the US!). It’s just not close to any restaurants. Lunch on our tours was beyond amazing and filling but my teen was always hungry when we got back for dinner. We ordered out a lot which was ok. I just wished we could have safely been able to walk to some local places.
Hairo was one of the drivers/ tour guide for about 4 days. He was very kind and knowledgeable. All the drivers and tour guides that we encountered were amazing as well. I’m glad that I got to see the highlights of Costa Rica in an affordable manner. I felt very safe throughout all the excisions. I can’t wait to come back!
You stay in same hotel at San Jose and make day tours. Every day you sit in bus for 1-3 hours one way. Tour guide was awesome. Lunch were great. Food is great. All the activities were awesome
This trip offers much of the best of Costa Rica. Exceptional guides and drivers, especially Hayro and Tihago. We had one guide who failed adequately to translate to English, when the group was slightly more Spanish speakers than English but the day trip was successful regardless. Ziplining and White Water Rafting on tge Pacuare exceeded expectations. The boat coxswain, Roberto, was the best I've ever encountered. Hayro was very knowledgeable about fauna, birds, amphibians, insects and plants ... which made a stroll through the park a master class in natire study.
We had all amazing tours and guides and Hayro did few days with us and he did an amazing job! All the places are worth the visit and you can tell how much they care about the nature.
Wonderful tour of the best you can have in Costa Rica in such a short time! Visits of the majors volcanos, Zipline in the denser forests, tour of the beaches with jaw dropping animals, visits of animal reserves (Sloths, toucans, jaguar, cougars...), rafting in the tropical jungle all packaged up with wonderful guides. Especially thanks to Hayro and all his knowledge of this country, animals and plants. My fiancee and I recommend that trip. Don't hesitate to take a bit more than 8 days to get some time off as it is dense and filled with activities as well as a lot of driving around!
This was one of the best vacations we have ever been. We got to do so many interesting activities; it is hard to single out one as our favorite. We covered many points of interest from coast to coast. Staying in the same hotel was convenient even if it meant travel time can be long to some of the places. I truly think it is a great value. The tour guides were attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our stay at Radisson, San Jose. The setting was beautiful, with a lot of amenities and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was sumptuous with a lot of choices and delicious.
This was booked as a last minute tour with the aim to see as much of CR as possible and especially the wildlife. Good: the guides Estevan and Leny were excellent and clearly professional and friendly, with a very caring approach to all guests. They are both a real credit to the company. The pick ups from the hotel were punctual. On day 1 we travelled to Quepos in the south West for a catamaran wildlife and snorkeling tour. We were looking for dolphins and instead saw humpback whales which was amazing. There were 2 days of tours to volcanoes. One would have been sufficient. The coffee tour at Doka was interesting, but the prices were double or triple the retail prices in supermarkets, so did not motivate us to spend. The waterfalls and rescued animal zoo was interesting to see animals of CR up close, and Leny was excellent at spotting even the smallest animals. We even saw an anteater. The less good parts: The hotel was the Radisson in downtown San Jose. We wer stationed here for the entire trip. It's a tired and old building with leaks from the bath. Staff also warned us not to venture out by foot outside the grounds after sunset due to safety issues (drugs/pimps/prostitution/robberies) in the area. You can get a taxi into central San Jose for usd 3-4. The main downside of this tour though was the amount of time spent travelling to and from San Jose each day to get to the actual excursion. Some days as much as 11 hours were spent on the road which is very tiring. The reason is CR roads are massively over capacity, too many cars and not enough roads. For that reason this format of tour is not one I would recommend. Instead, my advice is to pick a tour that moves location each day or every other day, and one that is not solely based around returning to San Jose every day. Or as we did in the end, check out early, hire a car and go and explore CR for yourself. You will see and experience far more, and get to see the real CR.
Pros: It was a great experience overall, with excellent communication from the tour operator. Cons: On the day of our zip‑line trip, we were placed in a very small van, and two of the seats were child‑sized. The lunch provided was not very good, except for the meal in La Fortuna. The hotel (Delta Marriott) did not feel like a four‑star property—according to the official site it was 3.5 stars—and it was older and undergoing renovations.
I highly recommend Summer Travel Costa Rica to anyone looking for a guided tour around Costa Rica! They took care of the hotel, transportation to and from the airport, breakfast and lunch every day, and all of our tickets and admissions fees. Some of the mornings are early and some of the drives are long (bring a neck pillow and eye mask!) but our tour guide made sure that we were comfortable and had plenty of bathroom breaks. Lenny was our tour guide for most of the trip, and she was absolutely fantastic. She was knowledgeable, personable, funny, and easy to talk to! We had around 15 people on our tours, but Lenny did a great job making sure people in the back heard what she was saying. I was impressed with the trip itinerary; it was a great balance of time in nature, adventure, Costa Rican history, and relaxation. Request Lenny as a tour guide if you can!
Operator will WhatsApp your itinerary to you, make sure to download the app or ask for a full email. Also make sure to ask ahead what your questions may be if you are taking your child(ren).
I had such a great time with this tour, it made my trip to Costa Rica so easy and fun. The hotel was great and all the staff and your guides were super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this option to anyone travelling to Costa Rica, it was well worth every penny!!
We had a great experience with this Costa Rica travel package! Every day brought a new adventure in a different region of the country, which made the trip exciting and full of variety. Our tour guide for a few days, Hydo, was excellent — very knowledgeable about each activity and about Costa Rican culture overall. The accommodations at the Radisson Hotel were great, though it’s worth noting that it’s located just outside of San José, so the surrounding area isn’t ideal for walking after dark and is about a mile from downtown. The only hiccup came on the final day — our driver acted more as transportation than a tour guide and skipped one of the planned stops. It took a few days for Summer Travel to respond with a resolution, by which point we had already returned home. Overall, we would definitely recommend this package for anyone wanting to see the best of Costa Rica! Just be sure to follow the daily activity clothing recommendations and be ready for some early mornings and full days!
Trip was absolutely a fantastic experience. Hiking through the rainforest, volcanos, zip lining, white water rafting, walking across hanging bridges above the treetops. Our guides Tilago, Hayro, and Abraham were so knowledgeable and took such good care of us. Highly recommend!
Excellent experience, would do again, highlight of the trip was the tour guides making every tour possible and accessible. Very knowledgeable of the area and the culture and went above and beyond. Hayro was our tour guide for most of the days and he was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Would highly recommend booking a tour with Hayro.
This is a well organised program, based in San Jose, thus for some days it needs a few hours travelling to the places. We have been with Hayro for 4 days. He is such a nice person, always explains things well and before hands. He is very knowledgeable, perfect English, very friendly.
Hayro was our guide and he was very informative during our drives and our hikes. We had him for 3 of our 6 days and would highly recommend him
This is a well-planned package with everything handled for you seamlessly. If you are looking for rest and relaxation, this is not your trip. if you want adventure and to truly see Costa Rica, this is it!! Think rain forest, jungle walk, monkeys, hanging bridges, catamaran, water falls, zip lines, white water rafting and way more! We were blessed with Lenny as our daily guide - she is amazing, funny, knowledgeable and was a huge part of us having such an enjoyable trip. Many thanks to the company, Summer Travel Costa Rica and especially to our new CR friend and guide, Lenny!! Only negative - we stayed at the Radisson, which is very nice but because of it's location, you will need to use the hotel taxi or Uber to shop or go out for dinner as nothing is walkable from there.
This was honestly one of the best tours I’ve ever done in my life. From start to finish, everything was smooth and so well organized. We felt supported and taken care of throughout the entire experience. Our guide most days was Lenny, and she was absolutely incredible. She had an amazing depth of knowledge and shared so much with us. On top of that, she went above and beyond by taking us to a few extra spots along the way and even making it possible for me to fly my drone. Her expertise, kindness, and great personality really made this tour unforgettable. The logistics were also flawless—pick-up and drop-off were seamless, always punctual, and perfectly managed. The days could be long, with some early mornings and late evenings, but as long as you’re well rested (and you can even catch some sleep on the drives), you’ll be able to enjoy every moment. Overall, I cannot recommend this tour enough. Every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed, and Lenny truly made it a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you have the chance, don’t hesitate—this is a tour you won’t regret!
The days are very long due to heavy traffic. Longer than we expected based on the itinerary descriptions. The buses hold 15 or less passengers which is very nice. We had exceptional drivers/guides. Viator was good about keeping in contact and adjusting when necessary. We were not pleased to see our hotel was not in an area good for walking, but it did have an excellent inexpensive restaurant for lunch and dinner. We enjoyed every activity we participated in.
Superb drivers/guides. Very informative and we could tell they loved this country. The hotel was more than adequate but not what we would consider 4 star. No refrigerator or change of sheets in the 7 nights. Terrible coffee machine
The tour was amazing. Everything organized all we had to do was show up. Best tour guide ever was Lenne she was the best. We will be going back to Costa Rica and using Summer Travel.
All activities are good. The only uncomfortable experience was the tipping thing for rafting. The guide of rafting is good and professional. However, the way that he was after tips made me very uncomfortable. When we were done, he said that I would be there to have my tips. He made a joke saying don’t give my tips to him (he pointed to other guide). So I reminded myself to tip him the first thing. After I saw him at the meeting point, the first thing I did was to tip him. Based on my check on google before we went to Costa Rica, the tip to rafting guide is $3-$5 so I gave him a CRC 2000 which equals $4 and he said: “I don’t want your money, you take it home” in front of everyone. I felt like a fool and a beggar. I realized that he was unhappy for the too little money. Then I asked someone else who was on the same raft how much should the tip is and he mentioned maybe 10% but I didn’t know how much the event cost and he said maybe cost $80 or $100. So my husband took CRC 5000 which equals to $10 to find him and gave to him and he took it. Later when we were in the van, the guide came over to look for someone and he told a man: “If you want to tip your guy, he is still there.” The man then got out of the van and went to tip another guide. I have been tipping every one and tipped CRC 5000 at zip line place. I did not mind to tip him more than CRC 2000 if I got different info. He wanted more than CRC 2000, he could say it in different ways instead of rejecting it in front of over 20 people to make me feel so uncomfortable.
This package include all the amazing adventures that Costa Rica has to offer. Our guide, Lenny, was the absolute best at navigating and personalizing the each step of our journey and went out of her way each day to do something special. We especially appreciated her ability to transport us safely and efficiently throughout Costa Rica at all hours of the day and night, all while making it seem carefree and effortless. Her English was great, and she was able to translate several conversations to ensure we received the best of everything. As for the tours, we loved not having to worry about driving or paying tour admission fees. Everything was always taken care of ahead of time. We also appreciated breakfast and lunch arrangements each day. The tour office was also great about responding to personal messages before end during our trip. My husband and I chose to end our vacation at Manuel Antonio and the company graciously allowed us to be dropped off at our resort. We found it relaxing to have three days to unwind on the Costa Rican coast. All in all, we cannot say enough nice things about this package, company and guide. We would do it exactly the same all over again. Some words of advice would include having cash (US currency was accepted everywhere we went) to tip drivers and tour guides and knowing in advance, what the appropriate amount would be. We would also recommend always having an extra change of clothes in your backpack in case you need them. Traveling in the month of July we found that rain jackets and umbrella were a must. We struggled to keep things dry so the use of the hair dryer in the bathroom allowed us to dry out our shoes, rain jackets, and umbrellas for the next day’s adventures. We found that having multiple pairs of nylon pants, long sleeve shirts, and sweatshirts were appropriate when traveling in the mountains. In Manuel Antonio, we found typical summer clothing to be appropriate. The apps we used most were Google translate, a currency calculator, and Waze. Pura Vida…according to Google-It's a way to greet, say goodbye, express well-being, and show appreciation for the simple things. With that…pura vida!
Just east of route 34 - turn at the BCR and The Bakery CR is a modern two storey building just up the road. Delicious fresh bread, pastries, snacks and excellent coffee. Wonderful - highly recommended.
I like to book my own trips and activities on vacations. This was the first time I let someone else drive. It turned out to be the right decision. The company provided excellent coordination, timely responses and quick resolution to any issues that arose. I want to mention Thiago who is the trip coordinator by name. A wonderful man to deal with and I am not easily pleased. And the there was Lenny who went out with us one a trip and then we had Thiago change her schedule and go with us one more time. That girl has the most pleasant, endearing and wonderful personality. It just felt like you were going out with a friend and you could make any kind of demands and she would accommodate everyone the best she could. The trips became a laugh fest. We tried to grab her for all days but could not. Anyway highly recommend this company and see if you can get Lenny to take you.
We had an incredible time. Our tour guide Lenny was amazing and she took such great care of us! Five stars!
We had such a great time with this company! Every day was a new adventure and we loved not having to navigate or drive. We had my husband and I and our 24 year old daughter and 2 teens with us. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to see a lot of Costa Rica in a short week!
Hotel is nice and is a short walk to central area of San Jose with a lot of shops and restaurants. Tour guides are nice and professional. This is a package for people who wants a worry free experience. The only problem is that all tours are 2-4 hours of bus rides from San Jose and we had to get up around 5am everyday.
Really enjoyed my time on this trip. Weather was the only hindrance with many of the activities, some of which could have been improved by preparation. Plan for a cold and wet time
What a full week of adventures we had on the 8 day package. We had three guides, Martin, Hayro and Lenny. Their English is impeccable and they all gave us lots of information in an easily understandable way. Hayro dealt very patiently with some (to us) horrendous driving conditions- cloud, rain and traffic jams - and his enthusiasm for spotting wildlife in the National Parks was infectious. He certainly is The Frog Whisperer. Lenny was amazing. She picked us up at the airport when our plane was very late arriving and was cheerful and kind despite it being after midnight. Her way of imparting information on the tours is very natural and we loved learning about life in Costa Rica. She also went above and beyond to help us with a phone issue which we very much appreciated. All the trips were worth the drives to get there and the minibuses were comfortable and air conditioned. Traffic and weather are outside everyone’s control - the day we went to the catamaran trip and Manuel Antonio park, for example, there were various road works and breakdowns that delayed us considerably, and the day of the hanging bridges involved a difficult journey across a high mountain pass with cloud, rain and heavy traffic but Hayro dealt with it all very calmly. It’s all part of seeing life in Costa Rica. The Radisson is a competent hotel made of concrete and steel girders so not particularly beautiful but the room we had was spacious and the aircon effective. The bed was really comfortable which was much appreciated after a long day out. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the city which is good for pick ups and drop offs - we had a tour planned for every day so being outside the city was not a problem. It’s not a long walk into the central square if you wanted to add a day or two in the capital to explore the museums independently which we heard were interesting. The breakfasts at the hotel were excellent- a huge choice of cooked and cold items and lots of fruit and coffee available. You will not be underfed on this package- lunch was included in every tour and breakfast on some early starts. Most nights we did not require anything else to eat but we had one meal in the hotel restaurant which was really good and one night we had a meal in the bar, which was also good. After a week on this package we’d had so much fun (including zip lining and white water rafting) and experienced a lot about this small variable country.
Before booking this reservation and paying $3,000.00 dollars I asked the representative if I was able to travel from Mexico to Costa ("I had another question regarding the passport information, we are flying from Cancun to Costa Rica are we able to present other forms of identification? Example USA drivers license and a Mexican ID (INE)?") Here is what they replied: "Everything is in order and the reservation is still working well, don't worry, everything is practically ready. Can you give us the numbers of old passports or can you give us some identification number, it is only to be able to buy the tickets to the national parks, it is only a formality of the Park that is requested" To this I responded: "Per your request see a copy of our identifications needed. The ID numbers are listed on there. Please let me know if you need anything else. Have a nice day!" It is frustrating that the travel agencies will lie in order to sell. I was at the airport trying to board my flight and wasnt able to. I lost the $3,000.00 and my flight expenses. After calling the agency they refused to post pone my reservation for a further date or compensate me in any way.
Wonderful trip! Loved the variety of experiences, something different every day! Our guide, Lenny, was great, very informative and fun! Some of the experiences, white water rafting, zip lining, snorkeling, visited 3 very different volcanoes to name a few. It is a very active trip!
Well organized with good hotels. Food was plentiful, mostly buffet style but slightly bland.. Our guide was AARÓN SALAZAR GUIDO . He really made the trip with a great personality and VERY knowledgeable about his country and its history. Our driver was Giovanni and he did a great job. One day we had very long bus ride but was broken up with a few stops. West coast, Tambor was HOT and HUMID. Spent time in ocean and pool, also macaw sanctuary was great. Butterfly garden was a bust. NO butterflies in one and the other stop had 2!!! We traveled with a nice group of people.
This review will be a little bit different, as I had a fall on our very first day and ended up with a broken shoulder. The response from Summer Travel was spectacular- they sent someone out to help, made arrangements for the ER visit and stayed with me throughout the whole process. We were debating whether to stay or go home, and they fully supported us either way. We will definitely use Summer Travel when we come back to this beautiful country.
Excellent tour guide. We saw and learned alot about native plants and animals. Highly recommend this trip. So relaxing and fulfilling.
This package was so well put together. We didn’t plan a thing, they were organized, on time, every activity was phenomenal. Jairo (the guide) in particular was absolutely the best. He’s so knowledgeable, and truly made our entire vacation. We had a great time and highly recommend this package!!
Costarica is an unique place in the world and we were lucky to have the best guide in the world Hayro Hernandez. The journey spanned 7 days (8 nights). Some of the places we visited: San Jose, Irazu and Lankester Botanical Gardens, Arenal/La Fortuna with its soothing hot springs, and super safe and funny activities like zip-lining and rafting (first time in our life) Every single day was unforgettable and a significant part of that was thanks to Hayro. Summer Holidays was perfect in any aspects and thank to Hayro again!
We loved Costa Rica - our guides were amazing! Hayro was exceptionally knowledgeable and enthusiastic, with a gift of being able to track down all kinds of creatures. Fernando was friendly, kind, and patient. Daniel was professional, helpful, and flexible; Lenny was super fun, generous, and a wonderful ambassador. All of them made special contributions to show us the best of their spectacular country. Thank you all for such incredible memories - Pura Vida!
There are quite a few great experiences I had in the 7 night, 8 day adventure! Thank you to Hayro and all the great guides who made it so much fun.
Our guide was the best. He captured so many beautiful photos for the group, and had excellent local knowledge of everything. The Arenal tour was beautiful and we saw many animals on the hanging bridges, such as spider monkeys and a boa constrictor. The Volcanoes tour was beautiful, full of information, and delicious food, it is exciting to be in the crater of the volcano. We stayed at the 4 star hotel with excellent rooms. The people in Costa Rica are very nice and friendly. I recommend this tour, it has everything and they do it all, the only thing I literally did was pay and enjoy my vacation, my kids were super happy.
I have no words to describe this excursion. Our guide started on time and explained everything step by step. He made sure we all had the proper equipment. Our guide was knowledgeable about the terrain, plants, animals, topography, etc. He gave us time to rest and to ask any questions we wanted during all the days of the trip. One of the best tours but it can be tiring is the fortuna tour when you go to the waterfall but it is really worth it, if you are not in good shape you better be prepared, that day we have the hike through the jungle and hanging bridges which are a dream. The food every day was varied delicious and very clean, the hotel always clean and accommodating, with highly friendly and professional staff. Really this tour is too good with a super high cost benefit ratio, since we did not worry about anything, everything is coordinated by the company.
A friend recommended me this package and the guide Hayro, and they really are the best, punctual, serious, explain everything very well, Hayro really makes the difference, everything is very professional, that's why I want to recommend them through this page.
A while ago I came to Costa Rica and decided to come back with Hayro who recommended this package. It really is very cheap and you get to know the country much better. The hotel was great, the magical places with animals, lots of delicious food and an excellent treatment. I can only tell you that you have to come by yourself and ask Hayro as a guide, he makes the difference.
We got lucky and had Hayro for our tour guide for the whole trip and he was a dream! Every experience was amazing and his expertise was incredible. There are a few things that we organized with the agency ahead of time to skip or substitute and everybody was really accommodating. Our hotel was nice!
We had a fantastic and action-packed vacation. We were so glad we did this tour, as we could not have done it all on our own. Hayro, our guide, was simply amazing. He kept our group entertained and informed, and made sure we all had a fun and safe time. The meals were delicious, lots of variety of animals and Hayro seems to know where to find them. There is travel time to get to the many activities, so it's a good idea to have e-books or podcasts loaded on your device for those drives.
Everything about this tour was perfect, from the pick up communication to the return home we did not worry about anything all inclusive. Our tour guide, Hayro, was amazing! He was very knowledgeable about the area. He was able to point out so many cool animals and things also shared all his amazing knowledge.
San Jose ain’t that safe, the Radisson Hotel is quite a walk away from town (and ancient) and it’s certainly not safe to walk at night. Excursions are a lot of driving and being caught in commuter traffic. The staff at both are very sweet and accommodating
