Big spacious rooms with a comfortable bed and great location, Terribly rude service though by a girl with glasses at the front desk. Repeatedly avoided looking up or standing up, was clearly annoyed and short with all requests. Don’t waste your time asking if your room is ready more than once… she’ll only check once and tell you to come back at 3:00.

A lot of rooms do not have windows, the rooms are big and the bed comfortable 2 star due to lack of windows and the fact they do not tell you before. The location is really good very close the pedestrianised main street. No tea in rooms just a coffee maker.
Be warned the standard double rooms have no windows/ access to natural light. This information is not included in the room description on the hotel website or in the booking confirmation. I only found out about it by reading Google reviews when I was in transit on the way to the hotel. When I arrived, I checked and found out that our room had no windows. What followed was a long and unnecessarily painful process to try to get a room with windows. The young man on reception was incredibly unhelpful. Communication was difficult because he spoke no English and my Spanish is limited. But the crux of the matter was that a room was available in a different category that did have Windows. I said I was happy to pay the difference. The problem was that the difference they wanted to charge me was more than double what their own website said was the difference in tariffs between the different room categories on the nights that I was staying. I explained again and again that I was happy to pay the difference that their own website showed, but I didn’t understand why they were requiring me to pay double. The only explanation I got was because I booked via a travel agent using Expedia and not directly with the hotel I could not have the difference their website showed. He asked me to cancel the Expedia reservation and book directly with the hotel, which I couldn’t do because it was booked by my travel agent and it was already the weekend in Australia. Eventually, a young woman came along and found a more appropriate solution, but it was a very unpleasant start to our stay. Be careful what room you book, contact the hotel to confirm whether or not it has windows if that’s important to you and probably book directly with the hotel because the ridiculous rigidity seemed to be because my travel agent had booked via Expedia. It would be much better if the hotel was transparent in the fact that some rooms don’t have a windows and include this in the room and booking description so that people can make an informed choice about rooms.
Make sure to confirm that your room has a window - if you care. Some rooms do not, surprisingly. I was first placed in a 2nd floor room with no window. The size and furnishings were fine but it felt like a cave. Got moved to a gigantic 5th floor room with nice city views and the bed was comfy. Club music could be felt and heard through the walls on Saturday night. But when I put in ear plugs, I slept great. I didn't like the neighborhood, didn't feel safe as a tourist walking around on a Saturday afternoon. Wouldn't recommend this neighborhood; the hotel is fine overall.
We were received kindly when we arrived at the hotel and when the room we got didn’t match what we booked they were quick to resolve it. However, the room that we had was kind of like a bunker with no opportunity for fresh air in it. It was super dark and a bit smelly. We only had to stay there one night so it was alright but, def recommend to check what kind of room you’re booking. Location was convenient for us
