An amazing day looking at the redwoods. There was a good amount of walking but very well worth it. Our guide was so knowledgeable and a superb guide. He has. A magnificent personality to match his knowledge made the day perfect!

Brian was an excellent tour guide. He gave us plenty of time at Armstrong Redwood State Reserve. He took us to a deli where we could get our lunch and then he gave us time to enjoy our lunch at the beach. Brian also made stops with us in Bodega Bay and Sausalito. Seeing the redwoods in an uncrowded location was perfect! Relaxing at the beach added a special touch!
Our guide Brian was absolutely wonderful! He was on time, communication was perfect, very knowledgeable about the area and sites that were seen. Our trip today great memories!
We really enjoyed our tour! Our guide, Peter, was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable & very professional. The tour vehicle was very comfortable. Highly recommend this tour company.
Amazing experience! Derek was super knowledgeable and friendly- it was perfect to see these amazing trees without having to rent a car or drive in San Fran. The small towns and beaches we got to see were all so worth it; great excursion, we highly recommend!
Brian was so knowledgeable about all areas of our excursion today . Loved the maps he gave us to the red woods . He even played moves parts , among other things . Request him you won’t be disappointed.
We would like to say a big thank you to Kurt who guided us on this tour. It was a great day out with lots of stops for some great photos and food. Kurt had a great personality and was also very flexible with stops and timing. Unfortunately I had a last minute flight cancellation and could not enjoy my day as much as I would have wanted. Thank you for your support and assistance Kurt - we still had a great time. Loved the lunch recommendations!
This was the perfect way to kick off our time in San Francisco! We loved seeing a different side of the area, from the stunning redwoods and coastal views to stops in Bodega Bay, Sausalito, and across the Golden Gate Bridge. At the start of our hike through the redwoods, our tour guide Calder told us that finding and kissing a banana slug brings good luck, and it quickly became our mission to find one. We did find one…but decided to leave the luck up to chance! Calder made the experience even better. As a local, he clearly knows and loves the area, and his knowledge and enthusiasm brought everything to life. A great first day in San Francisco—totally worth the time and money! file:///var/mobile/Library/SMS/Attachments/50/00/B5EFA08F-D4CD-445C-B64A-145912FA7DAB/20260720_113026.jpg
Brian is an outstanding guide!! The tour is amazing, it mixes nature with history, film and good music :) would highly recommend it if you are traveling solo.
We had a great time on this tour!
Our tour guide Trevor was absolutely amazing! Connected with all the people in the group and was very knowledgeable about everything I asked.
Trevor was GREAT!!!! Knew so much about the area and fun little stops along the way!! AWESOME views and perfect day!!! Redwood park was breath taking and easy trails for all. Goat Rock Beach, GORGEOUS for our lunch and photo ops, Bodega Bat quick stop for chowder and taffy, Sausalito stop BEAUTIFUL town for shopping and a quick ice cream plus best pics at the Golden Gate Bridge without the fog.
This was honestly one of the best tours we did all holiday. Our tour guide was Trevor and he picked us up from our hotel (RUI) in Fisherman’s Wharf. It was a small group tour with only 7 of us. The Redwood experience was really incredible and a definite highlight. Then we went on to Duncan’s Mills which was such a cute little mining village and a lovely place to buy lunch. We then took our picnic lunch to Goat Rock Beach which was a really stunning location and a real highlight. Sausalito was a very pretty town with lots of restaurants and shops we had the option to stay there longer which was very tempting and get the ferry back, or go back with the tour to be dropped back at our hotel. We chose to go back with Trevor as he also took us to a great view point of the bridge, looking back to the city and Alcatraz. Trevor was super helpful, flexible, knowledgeable and fun to be with. We had the best day. Such a great tour to do. We saw and learnt so much.
We had the most amazing day with our tour guide, Trevor, at Best Bay Area Tours on our small group trip to Armstrong Woods and coastal tour. There were just 7 in the tour, the bus was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of water offered throughout the trip. We were picked up from our hotel in Fisherman’s Wharf for a full day tour. We arrived at Armstrong Woods very early, and it felt like we had the woods all to ourselves. Trevor was very knowledgeable and the woods were breathtaking. Then we went on to visit Duncan’s Mills which was a really cute place to grab some lunch before setting off for a picnic at Goat Rock beach which was just stunning. We took a wall along the beach which was really beautiful and completely deserted. We continued on to Sausalito via a short stop off to see the sea lions. Sausalito is such a pretty coastal town with lots of shops and restaurants. We were given the option of staying longer and making our own way back to Fisherman’s Wharf via the ferry which was tempting but Trevor promised us a very special view of the San Francisco Bridge on the way back and again, he didn’t disappoint! Trevor was such an amazing guide, so friendly with great energy. He was very flexible with the itinerary and super helpful. Oh and he also had a great play list of songs on route that our son George, was a particular fan of! This trip was one of the highlights of our holiday, we got to see so much more than the San Francisco central areas and we would definitely recommend this tour, especially if you only get to spend a few days in the San Francisco area. It’s a full day tour and great value for money. Huge thanks to Trevor for such a great day!
This was a great tour. I loved seeing the redwoods and going to Goat Rock Beach. Kurt was an awesome tour guide. He was knowledgeable of the area and took us to the best spots.
This was a FANTASTIC small group tour. We could not have asked for a better guide. Kurt was very knowledgeable and had answers for all our questions. This was the highlight of our San Francisco trip! Definitely a "must-do"!!
Our bus tour was wonderful, allowing us to experience a variety of activities within one day. The views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the photo opportunities were perfect. Our walk through the redwood forest was beautiful and we were able to experience a variety of shopping in small country towns along with larger towns closer to the city. It was nice to explore at our own pace in these locations. Lunch on Goat Rock Beach was a highlight for those of us who grew up with ‘The Goonies’. Derek was punctual, polite and helpful and provided us with interesting details along the tour route. It was a wonderful day.
The tour began badly as the tour guide was a 1/2 hour late picking people up. There was no stop as shown in the itinerary (and I’ve done before on this tour) for a snack before Armstrong Woods. It would have been good as the lunch stop was not until 2pm. We had only 20 minutes at Goat Rock, not the hour as described in the itinerary and as I was assured when I booked. (This was the reason I booked this tour for the fourth time.) The restaurant where we were dropped off, The Tides, was much pricier than picking up a picnic lunch for Goat Rock. This was an unexpected added expense. The music the tour guide played for himself was intrusive and not palatable to those subjected to it. This was definitely the worst tour I’ve taken.
Great experience! Incredible views and picture opportunities all around. Even though it was cloudy at first it was still an incredible experience and our tour guide Kurt was awesome.
This was an amazing day trip from San Francisco! I felt like you got to see a lot in one day. We had a gorgeous day! Walking through the woods was something special. Having lunch and looking out to the beautiful ocean water was my favorite part. Our guide Trevor was fantastic! He let us be in charge of the schedule. If we wanted to stay longer in a spot no problem. If we didn’t need to stay as long as suggested we moved on. He was great to talk with and was very knowledgeable about San Fran and all the places we visited. I would take this tour again.
My family and I had the best time ever! I chose this company because they are the only ones who go to Armstrong Woods and the Coast. The fact the prices are so economical was a definite plus! My family and I felt so spoiled and safe because of the tour guide Kurt. We loved everything from beginning to end!
Kurt was a fantastic tour guide. This tour was the highlight of our trip. I highly recommend this tour if you want to get out and explore some of the nature CA offers.
Well organized small group tour! Kurt was a wonderful guide and helped us to make the most of our day. Armstrong Redwoods Reserve was so peaceful and Goat Rock Beach was beautiful! Highly recommend.
Kurt was an excellent guide for our day tour. He started by checking in the night before to confirm our pick up, which was a nice touch. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating throughout the day. I would highly recommend this tour with Kurt as your guide!
Took this tour to see the Redwood forests and Sausalito and it was a very good experience. My first thought was this would include Muir Woods. but it does not. They go to Armstrong Woods instead which is a treat. The tour also goes to Bodega Bay and stops at Duncan Mills. CA. The entire trip is beautiful and scenic with a taste of Sonoma. We also saw the houses and church featured in a prominent movie. Overall great staff, very reasonable fee and very comfortable ride for the entire day.
Great experience everything was above expectations. Our driver and guide Kurt was so nice and easy going as well as very knowledgeable. Armstrong Redwoods were beautiful. We made several stops to quaint little shops and restaurants. The beach was beautiful we were given several photo opportunities. We saw sea lions! The motor coach was very clean and comfortable.
Great Activity! Kurt made us all comfortable and shared some great information about all the places we visited. Highly recommend.
I thought the trip and the logistics were great and the price was right but having Brian W as our guide really made this tour. His personality/knowledge/expertise and the willingness to pivot to enhance the experience really turned this into a 5 star event
Brian W was a great tour guide. We had an awesome trip with great pictures. I didn’t feel rushed. If you’re worried about the price don’t be. It was well worth the cost. The length of the visit was just right. It was close to an 8 hour round trip. In Sausalito we had the option to take the water taxi back to San Francisco but we didn’t. We got the best pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge on the way back into the city. Brian W also had alternate routes as some of our sites were closed off due to the high tide. This trip is best for all types except those who do not need assistance such as walkers and scooters. Those who use a cane or poles for balancing can enjoy this trip. There were 7 in our group. We all had a blast of a time.
This was a great tour. Our guide, Trevor, was awesome. He made trip fun and informative. We had to change to this trip at last minute due to federal shutdown of Muir Woods. Did not regret the switch. Trip was great!!! Would do it again especially with Trevor as guide.
We had a fantastic day with Derek our tour guide. Picked up at our hotel door, and we visited so many places along the way. The Armstrong Giant Redwood Forrest is much more quiet than Muir Woods so we were pleased of Dereks knowledge of this. We had plenty of time at each stop and the lunch stop was amazing!! I won’t spoil it!! A good quality mini- van, and we could take snacks and drinks of our own no problem. Communication from our guide was excellent before and during the day - it made it really special. As we were a smaller group, we didn’t need to hang about waiting for stragglers at each stop. This was a full day trip: 0800-1600 and really educational and enjoyable. Would highly recommend this company. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great tour. Saw giant redwoods, and Sausalito. Very enjoyable. Shopping in Sausalito and great seafood meal there. The tour guide was very informative and fun.
Our guide, Kurt, showed up promptly at the pickup location. He gave us clear instructions about the day and told us what to expect. Immediately hit the road and started with fun facts about the neighborhoods we were driving through. We had the most perfect weather at all locations. Kurt gave us plenty of time at each locations and all of them were so fun. The sandwiches in Duncan's Mills are a must order! Overall, was an awesome experience and we would absolutely book with them again.
What a great tour, highly recommend it! Our tour guide Calder was excellent!! He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and made the tour a personable experience. I live in the Bay Area but still learned a lot from the tour about the places we visited.
We had an awesome time! Calden gave an excellent tour, we enjoyed the comfy ride, the views of the incredible redwoods! Calden gave great information and history during our entire tour. Highly recommend this tour!
This was a wonderful day out and Steven, our guide, was really informative. The Redwoods were stunning and we learned so much walking the trail. If I had a criticism at all, it was just the lack of time at some of the stops but we also got to see some things that weren't on the schedule. We had a lot of opportunities to take some great photos and we really appreciated the clips of video shown to put things in context. My husband wasn't sure of the joys of tree hugging awaiting him as we set out but he was completely delighted we had done the trip.
Our tour started with our driver picking us up from our hotel. We didn't have to rush out in the AM which already started the day off great for us. Our guide was very friendly and personable. We made some great stops in the city before heading to the redwoods. He had useful and interesting info about everything we saw. It was a great tour and amazing stops after the redwoods too. It gets a little filly under all those trees so take a jacket! The beach stop was great. A good guide can really enhance your tour experience and lucky for us, ours was the best. The group was a perfect size. Only seven of us. Great tour company! We had a fantastic day and at the end of it all, we were dropped off right at our hotel entrance! Ah! No fuss tour!

This trip was amazing! There was so much to see and so many small towns to visit along the way back from Armstrong woods. The beach was also so amazing, and all the information and recommendations from the guide were amazing.
being at the Redwood Reserve was amazing there were few people so we could really experience the peace of this forest We also enjoyed having our lunch at the Goats Rock beach even if the fog was heavy Our tour guide was excellent and informative I would really recommend this tour
David was an excellent guide. The first place we visited on this tour was at the Palace of Fine Arts, then proceeded to Fort Point where we had an interesting view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We then drove through Sonoma wine country to Armstrong Woods and walked the trail to see the beautiful redwoods. The weather was beautiful until we reached Goat Rock Beach. However, we did get to enjoy the pacific ocean during a picnic lunch. The deli that we bought our sandwiches from provided several selections and was reminiscent of a store we visit on the east coast. We were also able to see "The Birds" house which brought back memories of when I first watched the movie. Our last stop was in Sausalito where we were able to shop and have a snack if we wished.
We had the most amazing day visiting loads of places. Our tour guide was Kurt and his knowledge was outstanding. He was extremely helpful and made our day the best day we'd had in San Francisco. We particularly enjoyed visiting the giant Redwoods and seeing where The Birds was filmed but we just enjoyed visiting so many different places in one day.
Kurt was a great guide. He was informative and very flexible, taking in the group’s needs. The Armstrong redwoods was a quiet, short walk (45 min) but lovely in that it was not crowded so you were able to take the enormity and peacefulness of the forest. After picking up lunch at a quaint little town we stopped at a beach and being a sunny day we relaxed in the sun and enjoyed the beach. Quick stops at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge and a walk through Sausalito. Fun day!
Kurt was a kind, friendly, and knowledgeable guide who made us all feel welcome. We only had a few days in San Francisco, and this tour was a perfect way to get to see the redwoods and rural towns outside of SF. Personally, we would have liked to spend more time in other stops than the ocean lunch stop. But that's just us, other people may prefer it. We highly recommend this tour. Communication via email and WhatsApp was really good, too. Thank you, Kurt, for going the extra mile, you are amazing!
We had a lovely time! Kurt was our guide, he reached out to us the day before so we had his contact info, made sure we all felt included and had whatever we needed. Very knowledgeable about the area and you could see he worked with the places we went to make sure we had the best experience possible. We also did a larger group tour on our trip and it was a complete letdown after this experience.
Surpassed expectations! Brian was a fabulous guide and we got to do so much more than I anticipated.
Kurt was awesome. He made our tour super easy and convenient. We saw many mystic beautiful areas including the Red Woods, the beach, Sausalito and more.
Best tour ever! Steve, our charismatic tour guide, made it fun and casual so that the group all became friendly and comfortable with one another! We loved his knowledge of the area and he took us to take photos in locations that only locals would know about. The itinerary was great...from the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, to the Redwood Forest for an easy walk on flat terrain (the trees were magnificent), then onto a small village to purchase lunch to bring to the ocean for a picnic. We could have stared at that incredible view forever! Last stop to Sausalito, an upscale, charming town on the water. The day went by way too fast and it truly was magical. We would do it all over again if we could! Take this tour! You will learn alot about the history of the places you see and will be awestruck over the diverse places you will experience. A BIG shout out to our tour guide, Steve, who went above and beyond to show us a good time!
A spectacular experience. The guide was Kurt who was very knowledgeable and gracious. I appreciated the pick at my downtown hotel. The site were breathtaking, especially the Redwoods and Goat Head beach. I appreciate that this company supports local businesses. We picked up lunch at a local store which was very good. They planned enough restroom breaks. I highly recommend them and would use them for future tours.
It was a very balanced tour. We got time in the Red woods and beach, as well as some tourists highlights. Our guide was very pleasant.
