Great views, ride much longer than anticipated so you can really soaked it all in. The seats allowed for a great view

brilliant view of the bay and bridges.. didn't last very long but was very nice. attendants bit rude
It’s was ok, I think the price was a bit too much for a short ride. Other then that it was ok could of been a bit longer
Nice view, expensive for only getting to go around twice, and disappointing that you can’t just purchase one photo from the package it’s all photos for about $40 or nothing.
It was being worked on when we wanted to go. We had to go back to the other side of the city so we spent money on two tickets and didn’t get to go.
It’s an ok ride but not worth the full price. If you are considering this go to Groupon for discount
We purchased through a third party vendor and the person we had to get the tickets through wasn’t very helpful when we got up to the window. So, for those of you like us who didn’t know this, you will find the information they need in your email. Besides that we had a wonderful ride!! Absolutely gorgeous view of the bay and the city.
Typically we love ferris wheels and don't have issues with motion sickness, but this one for some reason just made us feel so sick. We started off fine, but every time we came up and over the top, our stomachs turned and it made it tough to enjoy the view. The staff were all friendly enough, and the ride lasted about 10 minutes. I don't know if it's the way it is made or what, but this isn't one we'll try again. If you have any issues with motion sickness, I don't recommend this one.
Nice ride with a great view especially on a nice day. $20 for adult, big enough for 6 people. : laps
Very short but nice and enjoyable, it’s good if it is your very first time there. The wheel goes very slow.
Cool way to see the city up above. The kids loved it. Go early to prevent crowds it gets crowded at night.
It was awesome to ride around but the rain got us. Other then that tho it was a nice ride and they sell ponchos.
This was ok. Nice view of city and wharf. Probably better at night. Staff were great and really helpful.
We had a wonderful time at the SkyStar -- our kids and their cousins loved every time we went up and came down. They got to see San Francisco, the Bay, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Marin from a totally different perspective. One kid said "this is the best ride ever..." Definitely a great stop for a family visit!
Pretty neat ride. I would suggest going at night. More city lights to see. And it was a little warm in the gondola
Highly recommend coming here when the sun is setting. We did that and experienced a beautiful sunset over spectacular views of the city and golden gate bridge. Cost of photos expensive and wheel ride doesnt go for too long but worth experiencing once.
Great experience with the Wheel itself! But didn't know that San Francisco residents (which I am) only need to pay $15 (or $17?), so I overpaid at Viater, which was $19.
Sky view gondola is super ..how many times could u go. .break a record ..each weekend in sf ..lucky place
Great way to see the wharf and spend time with family. This was a nice stop after grabbing lunch on Mission st.
Spur of the moment decision to do this ride but I'm glad we did. Luckily the sky was clear and the sun was shining so the views were great...Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz etc. could all be seen. The staff were all friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. It was quiet so we didn't have to queue for hours - only a matter of minutes. We had quite a few turns round. It would have been good to have a map or something to point out some of the less obvious landmarks. It looked really pretty at night.
It's a fun tourist attraction which gives you a quick view of Pier 39, Fisherman's wharf, Embarcadero and the city skyline
Such a cute way to see the skyline and across the bay. We (a party of 2) received a pod to ourselves and the wheel went around 3 times
Riding the SkyStar Wheel was a great experience! The views from the top were stunning, with panoramic sights of the city and waterfront. The gondolas were clean, comfortable, and felt very safe.
This attraction was worth the stop although we went on a very windy day. The wind was not noticeable until our car was at the very top of the wheel. The views were great and with the Ferris Wheel being enclosed it allowed you to enjoy the view no matter the weather.
We purchased our tickets in advance. You can't reserve a time slot, just show up with your e-ticket or print it out. The whole experience went well. You are seated according to how many are in your party. Regardless, the wait wasn't long. Wait times will vary. In spite of it being a crystal clear day with views all the way to both bridges, the lines weren't long. The views were great. I messaged the venue ahead of time to inquire about time reservations. Todd responded immediately and even suggested the best time for photo ops. Thanks Todd!
The time was amazing the view was incredible went at night and loved it. They also helped me replace a lost picture that was taken with my partner. Absolutely hands down the best can’t wait to go back
Honestly a waste of money. We went at night and the glass was filthy dirty so all you could see was the reflection of hand prints. I wouldn’t recommend it.
So much fun to see the city in such a different way. I highly recommend visiting this attraction and enjoying the beautiful vistas it offers.
What a peaceful way to see such a special place on this earth. The staff were friendly and the process was easy. It made our trip to the city after a day of exploring such a dramatic close to a great day. Highly recommend this experience!!
We had so much fun! The views were spectacular. All the lights…we went at night and I can’t wait to go back and ride during the day.
So fun and lovely to see SF this way. The sunset is gorgeous from the wheel, must do if you are on the wharf. I need to go back at night
Took a night ride on the amazing SkyStar Wheel on the waterfront in San Francisco. What an amazing ride! Views that you will not see anywhere else. I kind of still get chills thinking about that clear night in the city. EVERYBODY needs to give it a spin! Staff was great as well. Well done, SkyStar crew!
The views were amazing, I had a great conversation with one of the operators, however the ticket desk didn’t seem to speak very proficient English. I booked a combo ticket with the aquarium which specified that I would receive my aquarium ticket once I had attended the SkyStar, however the ticket booth attendee said that this was not possible, even though I had spoken to one of his colleagues about this prior. This was very frustrating and I was concerned that I was holding up the ticket line. He eventually handed me a printed ticket which read ‘aquarium admit’ although was still adamant that there was no aquarium admit. I ended up walking away and hoping that it would work, all very confusing and contradicting what the SkyStar website states.
If you are afraid of heights, don’t go on this. If you are afraid of the car shaking, do not go on this on extremely windy days. I went on night time on Tuesday, August 7th, windows seemed blurry and/or foggy so you couldn’t really see. I saw Alcatraz light house being used so that was amazing! The doors slammed as they closed, but they do give you a countdown on when it does close. Our car shock with the windy, that’s how you know the wind gusts were strong! Yes, you were able to hear the wind too. Scary!
If you are afraid of heights, believe me, you will overcome it here; the ride is calm and very relaxing. We loved it.
We booked the tickets via TripAdvisor, opening hours are there from 10-22 and we were present at 10:30 they had not opened and there was no staff present, we came back in 1 hour there was still no presence. Really disappointing.
