This was a great tour. We saw so many things we never knew were in San Francisco along with all the sites we hoped to see. Our guide was so informative and kept the tour interesting.

This tour was amazing and Dave was an amazing tour guide! It wasn't easy considering there was Formula One traffic and crowd that day and Dave made sure we still see a lot of the iconic city views. And the vintage VW 1973 was a delight to ride around the city. The Haight-Ashbury stop was the main highlight and didn't disappoint us. Driving down crooked Lombard Street was a treat! Dave went above and beyond what we were hoping for and even changed our drop-off location so we could catch a great dinner at Fisherman's Wharf! This tour is a must when visiting the bay!
This was an amazing way to see the city! Cyrus knew a lot of history and was hilarious. The ride was very comfortable and he was very kind to my mother who has some mobility issues. Took lots of great pictures as well. Would highly recommend this experience!
We had an AMAZING time on our tour thanks to our guide Cyrus! We highly recommend this tour if you want to see and explore the beautiful city of San Francisco in a fun way. Cyrus was a treasure trove of info and went above and beyond our expectations.
This tour was fantastic, Dave our driver was really knowledgeable and had some great stories. There were 4 of us and we were able to tailor the tour to exactly what we wanted to see. Loved it, highly recommended.
This was a really enjoyable tour in a unique vehicle that turned a lot of heads. Our tour guide Tara was fun and shared a lot of information about San Francisco.
Most enjoyable two hours of out SF vacation. Our tour guide Tara was fun, funny, knowledgeable, and a half dozen more adjectives including being a safe driver. It was "the highlight" of our trip for all six of us. Tourist: Don't miss it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We booked a 4 hour private tour - 4 people (3 have been to SF before, 1 was a first time visitor). Dave was our driver & made our tour informative and fun. and was very accommodating to our interests, schedule & needs. The VW van gets a lot of attention. This is a great way to see the city - nothing but fun, start to finish!
Tara was amazing and fabulous. She knew so much about San Fransisco and was the best guide we could have hoped for.
Tianna was a wonderful tour guide! Her music was always on point! Very informative and fun. Highly recommend.
Our tour guide was Johnny, and we had the pleasure of riding around the city in ‘Proud Mary’. Everyone who saw us had a smile on their face for our pretty little VW bus painted with famous faces from the SF era of peace & love. So many people wanted a quick pic with Mary! Johnnie was a great guide and embodied the spirit of chill and friendly with other drivers, people walking by and was very knowledgeable and fun.
My family and I had an awesome time zipping up, down, and all around San Francisco with our guide Kai and his fur baby, Kona. We were able to see so much and learn many unknown facts about the monuments, buildings, neighborhoods, etc. I would highly recommend this tour!
Judith, the driver, was fantastic!!! Showed us everything we wanted to see. Loved it and would highly recommend.
This was the second time for us to do The Love Tour of San Francisco, though this time, as an extended family group of 6, we booked a 4 hour private tour. Ky made sure that we thoroughly enjoyed it, bringing us across to the Golden Gate view point as well as Twin Peaks Summit for photos, as well as providing us with entertaining and informative stories as we drove up and down the smaller streets and areas of the city. Some of the many highlights of the tour were a stop at the Lucas Studios in the Presidio, a drive down Lombard Street, the drive across the Golden Gate Bridge and the house with Harry Potter themed doors. The tour covered some different areas this time around, which was great for the three of us that had done it the first time. We have recommended this tour to some family and friends since our first visit in 2018, and they all came back to us delighted that we had.
All of us enjoyed the SF Private Love Tour on the VW hippy bus. Our tour guide, Cyrus was excellent. It was fun way to tour the city. You get to see more than you would in the bus busses.
We loved everything about it! Three generations of our family took the tour! We cruised the streets in our flower power 70’s Van with music blaring and people everywhere looking at us with big smiles and peace signs. Saw all the major districts and heard great stories. If you’re a fan of SF hey day, there is no better way to see it!
This is a triple 5-star rating. 5 stars for the music of the 60's which was well timed to what we were seeing. 5 stars for the entertaining and informative commentary of the guide. And 5 stars for the bus and the environment set. People all over the route recognized and honked at the period-correct bus with all its historical quirks. (Don't expect to win any uphill speed races!!) Our entire group spent 2 hours laughing, singing and learning some of the most interesting history of early SF and rock music. This was by far and away the best city tour we have ever taken in any country.
The tour was great! Judith was an excellent tour guide. .1960s music was great. 1970s bus was great. tour was excellent !
This was just great fun! The VW bus was cool, and Alfred was a great guide. We saw all the important sights, including great views of the Golden Gate Bridge. We learned a lot of new things about what we saw. Even our three teen girls enjoyed it.
What a great way to see San Francisco! Alfred was Informative, funny and helpful. An awesome tour guide! Highly recommended
Great idea for our family of 6 (max)! Judith was an authentic 60s guide with extensive details on area attractions. Only complaint was there don’t use any microphone so I heard very little in the back where VW bus was loud. If you get our same bus, expect it to be rough on your neck... getting up those hills can get jarring. We had stellar weather. A private tour lets you be flexible about what you’d like to see...loved that.
I booked the Love bus for our family holiday and it lived up to everything I hoped it would do. What a fantastic experience and so much fun for us all. Our driver Alfred was exceptional and it was clearly obvious that he loves his job and his knowledge was exceptional. We saw all the sights that we wanted and stopped for amazing photo opportunities. While driving through the Golden Gate park we had a rather strange experience where we came across a driver who had no patience and was annoyed that Alfred was going slowly (showing us stuff) and started peeping her horn at us and when she was able to pass she flipped us off to which Alfred said "who flip's off the Love Bus". The only way to go down Lombard Street is in a Love Bus all the while listening and singing to fantastic songs. Anytime we are in San Francisco we will do this again as we loved it. Thanks for a great experience and making this trip part off our memories.
We did the 4 hour private tour with Judith as our driver / guide. She did an exceptional job maneuvering the manual drive bus through the tight spots, steep hills and terrible traffic in San Francisco. Got to see everything we asked for and them some. Had great suggestions of places to see and a lot of interesting facts and tidbits about SF. Drove down Lombard street which was fun. The colorful buses get a lot of attention and get places the big tour buses can't. Definitely recommend this company if your visiting SF or just want to learn more if your new to the areas.
My husband and I booked a Private San Francisco Love Tour while in town to see Metallica's S&M2. We didn't have a ton of time in the city, so we were hoping to see a lot and get a sense of the city's hippie past. Our tour guide was Bob and we had a great morning with him. You can tell he loved his city and we always love touring a place with someone who is passionate about where they live. Bob gave us a fun and informative tour of the city including visits and walks in the Botanical Gardens, the Painted Ladies, and Haight Asbury. We loved driving through the Castro and down Lombard Street. Our Hippie Van was really cool. The inside was as decorated as the outside and we saw tons of people taking photos of it everywhere we went. Bob also got us some great views of the Golden Gate and the skyline. He also shared some tips for where to go, eat, and shop in San Francisco, as well as sharing so much of what living in San Francisco is like. It was great going at our own pace, since it was just the two of us and our tour guide on the private tour. We got so much more out of it that way! If you're in San Francisco, I'd definitely recommend taking this tour! It's a great introduction to the city and a lot of fun!
We had a fantastic tour all round the city, under the Golden Gate bridge we were treated like celebrities and we had a fantastic experience. The driver was very knowledgeable in the area and took us on a very informative and fun tour.
Our family vacation made an awesome choice when we booked a private Love Tour of San Francisco! Tyler was an excellent driver/tour guide and hit all the sites on our bucket list and more! Having four hours to tour, we were able to get a good feel for the city and all the iconic photos we could have wanted.
Great tour today with Bob. Super knowledgeable and great fun - family friendly. They are dead right - we can all read online the main stuff. This Tour is about brining the culture and soul of the city to life. Cool vehicle too. Thanks heaps Bob and the team at San Francisco Love Tours!
The private 4 hour tour was genius. Kelly was our guide and she was amazing! We experienced the entire city and more. I can't say enough about how great it was. The time flew by and we had many stops for pictures!
I booked 4 buses six months in advance as we had a large group visiting San Fran via cruise ship. The booking was over the phone with Allen super nice and helpful. This is the best way to see a lot of San Francisco when you have a short visit. All four drivers narrated the ride with fun facts and history. We did the private tour which was four hours. The four buses arrived at the cruise port and picked us up and caravanned together all around San Francisco. We stopped for photos several times and the drivers would gather all of us together and take photos. The driver of my bus was Bob he was super fun and was full of San Fran facts and info. The report back from the others on the trip was unanimous - BEST THING WE DID on the entire cruise..... THIS IS A MUST DO WHEN IN SAN FRANCISCO...........
This is the most fun we’ve ever had on a tour of any city! Our guide, Douglas, was terrific and we learned so much about San Francisco. It was our last day in town and we all wished we had taken this tour on the first day. So many interesting neighborhoods and areas we would have loved to go back to visit, but we were out of time. Some in our group had previously taken a bus tour and thought this tour was way better. Douglas took time to answer all our questions, share stories of San Francisco’s history and played the best music! We very much enjoyed our afternoon with him and highly recommend Love Tours!
Despite the cold wind and rain, Tyler was an excellent tour guide and we really enjoyed riding around the VW hippie van.
Go places big tour buses can't, we had Bob who took us everywhere and great pics and non-stop info, meet some other fun people - we met a couple and their kids from Australia on their way from NYC then on to Waikiki. Told them their trip started ok, went great, then to awesome! lol....You need to do this, you see ALL of SF in a 2 hr fun filled ride in a shag carpet 1960 VW bus!! YA!!
It was the first time I could share San Fran with the family. We decided to do it with TYLER - our amazing and very knowledgeable guide! We loved the four hours spent driving around in this groovy VW Bus. From stories of the City by the Bay, to the very cool 60's and 70's music playing throughout, we didn't miss a site. The four hours passed way too quickly and the amount of perfect photos we brought home (of Golden Gate Bridge, Twin Peaks, and Haight-Ashbury) are being shared with our family and friends. Take the time to join this tour. We highly recommend it. As Tyler would say, "It's cool, man!"
San Francisco Love Tour is the best way to get an overall introduction to the beautiful, diverse city. Not only does the tour include all the major sights, it also covers all the interesting neighborhoods. Guides are incredibly charismatic with loads of funny stories. In my opinion, it's the inspiringpeople you remember when you return from a holiday - I've now done the Love Tour twice, and both experiences and guides stand out in my memory. Thank you for this incredibly inspiring product. Best regards, Anders Jakobsen, Copenhagen, Denmark
When in SF you have to do this tour. Our guide Tyler was amazing. He was born for this job, Lots of jokes, history and stops for great pictures. We added the Muir Woods extension for $100 and it was an awesome value and great time. This will remembered as one of our favorite things we did in SF,
This is the perfect tour when visiting San Francisco. We did this on our first day, and our guide (Bob) took us and showed us every single corner of the city. He also gave us advice where to shop, what places to stay away from, and points of interest outside the city. I would highly recommend doing the love tour. very enjoyable and informative.
The perfect way to being your visit to San Francisco ... GREAT experience! The tour guides were very knowledgeable about the history of the Bay area. They were accommodating with our schedule and provided ample time to enjoy each stop. I could not recommend them higher.

Wonderful tour and our guide was outstanding. Being two old hippies, we loved visiting Height Ashbury part of tour. I would highly recommend the private tour as it gives you more options to see what you want to see.

Communication with this company by text was very good. Quick, helpful responses on two occasions. Our guide was intelligent and informative. Van was cool. No music. I expected it but didn’t miss it. We went on the day before Memorial Day at 1 pm. Tour went 3 hours but website said four hours. Traffic was gridlock. We had to turn around from the usual route to the Golden Gate Bridge having spent at least half an hour at a near standstill. We made two stops but not being able to park prevented desired opportunities to take photos. I felt it was unreasonable to book the holiday (at least the afternoon tour) knowing the passengers experience would be significantly diminished.
Tour booked for 18 (3 vans!) and everyone raved about the experience! Everyone thought it was a great way to see parts of the city that they otherwise wouldn't have and had a great time!!
I am a San Francisco native and my son and his college friends were in town visiting for a few days. Jason Rojas was an amazing, fun, knowledgable, and accommodating tour guide. We had a great time flashing our "peace" signs and everyone who saw our bus smiled, waved, and flashed "peace" signs back. The music of Led Zepplin and Janis Joplin playing in the refurbished VW with shag carpet made for an amazing atmosphere and vibe. I highly recommend San Francisco Love Tours!

Our tour guide Paris was fantastic. Such a great way to see the city and lots of tips of where to visit again. If I Coul only recommend one thing to do in san francicsco it would be this

This was a great tour! Our tour guide, Paris, was extremely personable and knew her history of San Francisco. I learned more on this tour than all the other tours of SF I've taken over the past 30 years. My cousins from Maine loved the tour and had a blast! I would highly recommend this tour, even for folks who've been on previous SF tours. Ask for Paris!

A wonderful way to tour Frisco - not just seeing the sights but in the VW you are inside an attraction as well!!! Lovely tour highly recommended!

This tour was really unique, a real eye-catcher. Our guide Cyrus was great. He gave us a lot of information and was very entertaining. Sovereignly he drove us uphill through the whole city.
We, family of 6, have booked this tour in advance. Highly recommended. Extremely fun way to explore San Francisco. Obviously seen a lot and from beautiful points. Every minute of value for money.
We wanted a good overview of the city and, most importantly, we wanted a Francophone guide for our three children. Well, we were not disappointed! First, the VW bus is great, the kids (and parents) loved it. The city tour (4 hours) is very complete and we pass in typical places of San Francisco. The icing on the cake: the guide! We had Beny (Benedicte) and she is FANTASTIC with the kids. She knows perfectly well how to interest children on the different monuments and adapts her comments. We highly recommend this tour. Even it is obviously more expensive than a sightseeing bus tour, it is definitely worth it. Don't hesitate! And thank you again, Beny, it was great!
Dommage que le tour réservé en français se soit transformé en un tour avec un guide ne parlant que trois mots de français. Par contre « Jet » notre chauffeur était fabuleux,très drôle. Tour vraiment à faire.
