Booked a private ebike tour. Staff made sure we understood how to operate the bike. Reviewed safety items and made sure we were comfortable and ready for the tour of San Fransisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. Adam was our tour guide and was extremely knowledgeable. He took my girlfriend's fears into account and did everything he could to make sure she was comfortable and ok. We rode in the road and on the bike paths, taking several stops to explain various landmarks and attractions. We stayed in Sausalito and had lunch, while Adam rode his bike back to the shop. We bought ferry tickets and took our bikes back across the bay, the rode back to the shop to drop off the bikes. Had a fantastic time. Adam gave us some ideas of places to visit during the rest of our stay. Would recommend doing this to anyone interested.
Marcus was awesome. Welcoming, fun, informative and great tour guide! Thanks for making our trip more awesome! Great team work too!
We had a private tour with 2 families visiting some interesting places, crossing the Golden Gate bridge and ended at the other side of the brigde. Our guide was Markus, very knowledgable guy who was able to tell us really a lot about every stop we did, helped us in making nice pictures of the full group and entertained our teenagers as well. Definitely recommended tour!
Ryan was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! It was a great way to explore and our family of 5 loved this experience!
So much fun! Great bikes, easy to follow directions and helpful maps. The representative was so informative—really good guy. Will definitely do this again.
We took a family private tour over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito with Adam who was an excellent tour guide. We had sports bikes which made the hills a little harder than electric, but the extra pedalling was well worth it. Adam’s knowledge of SF, its history and all the best spots for photos (along with a great sense of humour) really made the trip. An unforgettable experience!
Excellent booking service and information to book cheaper online. Good Bikes. Long opening hours. We fully recommend
Excellent experience! Adam is a wonderful guide ! He shared lots of history along with excellent insights and instruction..He is patient and helpful. Highly recommend him for a private tour!
We had an excellent guided tour, giving us our first view of The Golden Gate Bridge and Sausalito. Mia was a great guide, making sure that we were comfortable a confident before starting each leg of the journey, and she shared lots of interesting facts along the way. The e-bikes were great on the hills. We took the ferry back from Sausalito to Fisherman’s Wharf, which we’d booked in advance. Cycling over the Golden Gate bridge was an experience: the wind was fierce and the temperature several degrees lower than the beginning and end points of our trip, so take extra layers.
Had a great bike w Adam ! Very informative! Fun and easy ride ! The drive over the bridge was fantastic and the views were perfect !
Our trip was from Fisherman's Wharf to Sausalito on electric bikes. The scenery was beautiful, the electric boost on the bikes was wonderful to have on a couple of hills. Our guide, Adam, was very informative and discussed our interests with us so he could tailor his talk along the way. We were also interested in seeing birds, and Adam was helpful in seeing that we saw many. We will recommend this to any friends heading to the area!
Had a great time biking the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, and Adam, the tour guide was great and took good care of us. Enjoyed the sceneries and tour stops such as Fort Mason and Palace of Fine Arts.
Very nicely done! Adam was efficient, passionate and was a treat to ride with. The route is spectacular with lots of lovely lookouts. We went on thanksgiving when the Sausalito ferry was not operating and they refunded that amount.
Tour guide Ginger was great! Lots of good information along the way with great views of the city and bridge. Bonus for us was the blue angels over the bay.
Aaron was great! He shared a lot of cool history on SF. Going across the Golden Gate Bridge was awesome!!
Our guide was Eli and he was brilliant. He adapted the trip to our group, never rushed and showed us some amazing views. Was happy to recommend further routes to continue on after the tour. Renting the bikes was easy and we loved we had them for the rest of the day to explore. Bikes were very good, we did hire the electric which were powerful for the hills. Totally recommend as the best way to explore San Fran.
We had an incredible time on a private tour with Adam! He had tons of great historical facts and we loved spending the afternoon with him. He is so passionate, and an excellent ambassador for the city of San Francisco.
We had a very good time, our guide was excelent, he made the ride very special, took photos of the group, etc. The only thing is that they ask for a $600us deposit for each bike you rent and of you dont have a credit card its an issue to carry with $1,200us in cash or if you pay it with debit card it will take 5 to 8 days to get your money back, so tale that in mind. Other than that i really recomend this ride!!
Adam, our tour guide, provided us with loads of historical information as we biked from the shop, to and over the Golden Gate Bridge, and into Sausalito. The electric bikes made the couple hills easy to traverse.
The tour was fantastic, our tour guide Eli was the best, he was very informative and didn’t rush us at all. Well worth the money and would definitely do again when in SF.
We did a tour from San Francisco over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. Whilst the tour was generally ok it did take a turn for the worse towards the end. When going down to Sausalito you have to bike down a large hill. I became separated from the group as I was at the back with another couple. When we got half way down we stopped as there was a turn in the road but none of the others were in sight neither was the guide. We worked out it was straight on but even when moving forward there was still no one around. I thought for a guided tour the guide should have made more stops especially when coming into a neighbour hood like Sausalito which people on the tour may not be familiar with. I had no money or functioning mobile phone on me and could not make contact with my partner. I considered this as quite dangerous practice and as a teacher myself I know the importance of stopping and waiting for the full group to stay together safely. I enjoyed the tour, the bikes could have been better and the guide should have stopped as I have stated
Our tour guide Brian was great! The problem is that getting the ferry back to pier 39 is terrible, there are only a few ferrys and we have to be 2 tours in líne waiting for the ferry so take your time and be patient.Other than that was very good experience.
We have A wonderful experience today. With our Tour guide Owen we went to the golden gate bridge and Sausolito. His enthousiasme en knowledge of The city was perfect.
Brian was the perfect tour guide. Great info, great fun. Brian looked after everyone and took care to ensure everyone was happy with the pace. Excellent tour guide. The lady from Co Clare was excellent with the booking in service too. Thank you guys!
We had the absolute best bike tour ever. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, REALLY funny and just altogether a great human being. San Francisco wasn’t too busy yet- we came in the shoulder season between Spring break and Summer- so everywhere (& our hotel) was just accessible and uncrowded and a delight. There is nothing like crossing the Golden Gate Bridge on a bicycle- though a bit scary height wise - but safe and secure with high railings and separate bike path away from cars, We had a late lunch in Sausalito on the water (Bar Bocce! Bocce ball!) and drinks on the ferry back. The whole loop was a really well thought out by these folks. I was amazed how expensive the city is though so don’t forget to tip your tour guide people! They are the real experts on the history of San Francisco and biking it was the only way to go.
Adam was a great tour guide! He provided a lot of great history and information. With two young kids (12,10), he was great at keeping us safe and made the trip enjoyable. I think for kids to be on this tour, they need to be proficient bike riders, and able to follow directions well. Highly recommend!
Our guide Liam was very informative, he stopped several times to explain important landmarks and tell us what was upcoming on the ride. He was very patient with the entire group no matter what your skill level was. The bike ride was a little over 8 miles, challenging but not too much. The views of the bridge, San Francisco and Sausalito were beautiful. We also had plenty of time to take pictures. We rode back to San Francisco on our own as the directions were pretty easy and the bike rental lasted all day.
It was a fun trip over the bridge, surprised there wasn’t a crash on the bridge… total Chaos. Would recommend the trip for anyone but beginners.
Errrr Adam gave us all a very enjoyable humorous and informative tour over the bridge to Sausalito. He kept the mixed age group together and went at a pace that was comfortable to all. Great fun experience
Incredible morning biking around San Fran with our tour guide Eli. He showed us parts of the Presidio we would've missed, and the ride acoss the Golden State bridge was excellent. Loved that we could work with the company to pay a little extra to leave bikes off in Sausalito, freeing us to get on a ferry to meet our Alcatraz time.
Judy, our guide, was excellent really enjoyable day, Bike ride over Golden Gate was highlight of our trip to San Francisco
Experiencing the city surburbs, the surrounding areas leading up to the Golden Gate bridge and on to Sausalito on this tour will be one of the memorable adventures my family and I will ever have of San Francisco. The awesome staff at Bay City Bikes did not hesitate to reschedule our tour with them the very next day after we missed our scheduled ride with them without any extra fees, due to the road closures for the Warriors parade. My family and I definitely recommend Bay City Bikes 🙂
Had a great time with our family of four (including two teens). Reza was fun, nice, patient, and informative. I recommend an upgrade to the e-bike for some of the hills, but can be done on regular bikes.
I’ve lived in the Bay Area for 18 years and can’t believe how much of the city I’ve never experienced. This was such a great private tour for my 3 sons and I. We had an awesome time. It was really convenient. Our guide was thoughtful, insightful and really opened our eyes to so many hidden treasures.I’d definitely recommend anyone to book this tour. So much fun and super affordable. We had an amazing day.
A wonderful day. We left from the rental house and then went to Golden Gate Park and then crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and back to the rental house via the coastal paths. With a little sunshine it would have been even better, but anyway this day will remain unforgettable for us. The service was great in terms of bike rental. And electric bikes have met all our expectations.
It was a super nice guided tour, our guide took us safely through the traffic, showed beautiful highlights and made for great photos! Highly recommended even with teenagers!
