The overall experience and value were very good. I l loved that. I loved being able to see many different sight in the city. My only complaint was there are 3 hop on-hop off bus tour companies in San Francisco and none of the stops were clearly marked. Until I rode the bus, I was not aware of any of the stop's actual locations. It would say one stop, and I put that in location and it would not put me where I needed to be. I started at the beginning first stop by taking an uber there. My experience was great from that first stop but I didn't necessarily want to start from the stop as there was ones closer to my hotel. There were many stops that did drop me right where I needed to be and that was very helpful.

Our experience with Go City was extremely disappointing and frustrating. We purchased a Go City pass specifically because the hop-on hop-off bus was a major part of the attractions included. When we attempted to use it, the bus was unavailable, which eliminated one of the main reasons we purchased the pass in the first place. This was especially difficult for our family because we were traveling with a child on the autism spectrum. The hop-on hop-off bus was chosen intentionally because it provides a predictable and structured way to see the city. The alternative options suggested were not appropriate or accessible for our child and the company made us feel that we CHOSE not to do other methods of transportation so it was our problem. Even though Go City acknowledged the issue, they refused to resolve it and instead directed us back to Groupon because that is where the pass was purchased. Groupon then pointed back to Go City since they operate the attractions. As a result, we were left stuck between two companies, both avoiding responsibility for a product that did not deliver what was advertised. It is very disappointing that neither company was willing to take accountability, especially given the accessibility concerns involved. Travelers should be cautious when purchasing these passes, particularly if there are specific attractions you are relying on. If something important is unavailable, you may find yourself with little support and no resolution.
We were able to do so many activities and stayed busy. We saved a lot a money on tickets for a family of 4. We enjoyed ourselves and it was easy once we used the itinerary to plan each day.
Great savings. We were able to do the big bus tour. Made transportation in the city easy. Didn't have to use any other transportation. Loved the boat ride and the science museum. Plus your explained all the sites
A tour to Krka Waterfalls fro Split. It was about 1 hour bus ride, in a comfortable bus. Being April there were only 15 or so travellers. Bus driver Andy, was excellent driver. Not aggressive and we felt safe in his hands. The tour guide was Darijo (Dario). He was very interactive, pleasant, interesting, entertaining, informative, personable and was well received by the group. He made the tour! It wasn’t the greatest weather, cool in am but the afternoon was more pleasant. It was a beautiful walk. Saw a few stray cats and we had bought cat food so they were happy. The waterfalls were beautiful. Dario told many stories about the area . Several of us attended the wine and cheese tasting in another community at Sladic Vinarija, a local winery. We tasted 4 wines. Most of us really liked the Dessert wine. Much like a port. It was extremely good. A thank you to Marijo, the server who also makes the wine with his other family members. Grayline Tours we’re very punctual. The lady( Mya) we purchased the tickets from was very helpful in assisting us. Grayline was a great company so we booked another tour with them for Dubrovnik. Thank you to Dario! You’re the best!
This pass is terrific. It helps us plan the trip and hit all the best stops. It saved us a lot of money! I always check to see if the city I am going to has a go city pass to buy.
We bought the 3 day pass because my friend was only there for 3 days, I was there a week. I wish I bought one for longer. We did so much in the 3 days and it was well worth it. Because everything is so close, one day we did 5 things in one day, so it saved us a lot of money. Ive bought the pass for Oahu and it was worth it too.
Brilliant enabled me to see all the attractions i wanted too and more. Really easy to activate passes and tickets. Will defo use them again
This is the smartest way to see attractions. Not only did it save us money, it also saved time on getting in places. Highly recommend using a Go City Pass when it is available ~ We did a five day pass
Used the Gocity pass for all our travel in San Francisco. Excellent !!!! Only issue was that the route only goes one way so we had to go over the Golden Gate each time to get to Fishermans wharf. Suggestion for the route to go both ways. Easy access with no fuss to all the exibits. Well worth the money.
Hi, The experience was fantastic had a ball, seen heap. The problem is I put down a $500 US dollars bond( holding deposit) and still waiting for the refund. I’m not happy
With the three-day pass I saved a lot on tickets, I only spent it to visit Alcatraz . The great advantage it has is that hop on hop off is included in the pass and brings you closer to the other attractions of the pass.
Great way to see the city, however, we were wanting to use the fishing option and found out it is not available. Fishing was one of the main reasons we purchased the pass. Do not expect all activities to be available.
We lived the double decker bus, the Science Center, and the boat tour. We loved getting to do so many things without worrying about cost.
The GoCity passes were a great value. In two days, we took in the SF Zoo, the Hop On, Hop off bus, a 60 minute SFBay cruise, Mdm. Tussauds Wax Museum, and went to Aquarium of the Bay AND the 7D Ride at Pier 39!
The pass was very helpful and well worth the price. We purchased the 5 day Go City Pass and used it every day for one or two activities. There were over 30 to choose from so we never ran out of options. Although most people used their phones, we used paper passes which worked just fine. We used hop-on-hop-off for two days and took most of the tours available. We did not do any amusement parks. We stayed in town. You need to check the days and times since everything is not open every day. Would recommend Hop-on Hop-off the first day to survey the city. Also the best way to see the Golden Gate Bridge. Would highly recommend
Go City Pass is so easy to you just download the app and scan everywhere you go. it also saves you alot of money, I would recommend
Loved the Go City all inclusive pass. Admissions and tickets would have cost twice what we paid for the pass. One thing to note is the Big Bus hop on/off tour only lasts 2 days from when you activate with them, on day 3 you can pay $15 to extend the time 24 hours. We did several activities we might not have done without Go City, like the Exploratorium which we really enjoyed. I kept both tickets on my phone and admissions would swipe screens to access both QR codes; a ticket lady said they prefer that over having to scan multiple different phones. We used Blazing Saddles to ride bikes across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, which was the highlight of our trip
The Chinatown ghost tour with Jamie, from thehauntghosttours.com was really good! He was very knowledgeable and super entertaining!
Definitely was worth the price. Overall we saved well over $100 dollars bundling all of the activities under the one go pass.
This pass was really useful, and great value for money. It meant I was able to do much more on my trip to San Francisco than I would have otherwise. It was really easy to use, and the app is helpful. However, the T&C's say that you can use it for each attraction once per day for the duration of your pass, so if you don't finish something, you can go back. However, it turns out this is not true for the Hop-On-Hop-Off bus tour. If I had known this before, I might have done things differently. You can buy an additional day for $15, but only for the day after you redeemed your Go City card. Eventually I did manage to sort something out with the bus company, but I was disappointed that this wasn't clear on the website, and it did make the pass slightly less good value for money.
Terrible! On the first day using the app it said that it was expired! Still waiting to get my refund!
Great buy! Definitely a must! This was well worth the spend! We got the 3 day pass and got to see 6 attractions within the 3 days!
We bought a one day unlimited Go Pass for San Francisco and felt we got our moneys worth. We particularly enjoyed the bus and saw numerous venues over the course of the day. Because the pass was all inclusive, you felt like you didn't need to stay somewhere for any length of time. We covered about five activities by getting on and off the bus and didn't have to worry about driving anywhere. It was a great deal and we'd do it again in another city for sure.
I was denied access to a number of locations that claimed my voucher was invalid or I needed to show them 2 voucher even though my voucher said 2 people. Not happy at all and had no way of contacting someone to resolve the matter.
Just bought a pass and forgot to apply a 5% discount from signing up for emails- they already offer full refunds if the pass is inactivated for 90 days but still refused to credit it to my payment even though I messaged them within an hour of my order. My trip is tomorrow so won't have time to cancel and rebook. Not impressed at all with the customer service and won't be using them again, plenty of other similar companies. Terrible first impression to a new customer!
Overall good experience and easy to use, will recommend to friend if they are going to Sna Francisco
We was only able to enjoy the big bus because none of the other vendors accepted our tickets. The blue and gold tour would only let one of us go. Totally disappointed
This pass was a great value!! We got to enjoy San Francisco to the fullest! Very Easy to redeem at all the locations specified!
Strongly Recommended for those who’s coming to San Francisco the first time. You can visit the places of interest at your own time. Easy to use
None no trip, no fun. Could not get help Ruined my day. First time I had problems with trip excursion
You do SAVE with the Go-City all-inclusive pass. Obviously, the more attractions you visit, the more you SAVE. Just make sure you plan ahead. Some tips: Most venues/attractions are now operating at limited hours due to Covid. Prioritize is key. Make sure you first check the venues original website for the most up-to-date hours and addresses. Some venues require reservations. This is IMPORTANT. This could be a deal-breaker or a BUST if you do not check. The hours and addresses from Go-City is not up-to-date or current. Also, some attractions had duplicate listings. It can be quite confusing when 1 listing honors the pass while a duplicate listing does not.. For my record, I took screenshots for safety. For venues that are further out in distance, you may want to call to confirm if they will honor your pass before heading out to make the drive to the location. Luckily for us, the attractions that we ended up going to did honor our passes. We notice this issue at the following attractions: California Academy of Sciences Walt Disney Museum Exploratorium GoCar 1 Hour San Francisco Zoo & Gardens We got the 5-day all-inclusive pass. Still, with this pass we still ended up missing some of our best picked attractions below because of operating hours and early closures, San Francisco Zoo & Gardens U.S.S. Sea, Air, & Space Museum Museum of Modern Art We also missed out on Ripley's Believe it or Not! This was because they stopped accepting the go-city pass. C-mon really?! and $40 for a entry pass per person?! Not cool! Hopefully this information will help most of you make a informed decision before buying. For us, we ended up in the advantage just because we stayed longer.
We tried to make an online purchase for 3 different people. Wasted 2 hours wrestling with their website. We used 4 different methods of payment, 5 different transactions. Called their customer service number, got a guy by the name of Jody who was just as useless as their website. He couldn't get past the script in front of him to help us out. Finally got someone who was more helpful but he couldn't figure out what was wrong, either. He suggested we try using Groupon which we did but the handshake between Groupon and GoCity took over 4 hours. Lost an entire morning. Buy BigBus' service, they have real people on the Wharf ready to help you.
The bus tour was great we will be back. The ease of the city pass made traveling so nice. Its an awesome deal
Son and grandson in from Seattle. Went to blue and gold boat ride and advised to book tickets early for Saturday ride. Used my pass to print out tickets for Saturday. Went to use passes on Saturday and couldn't as it had already been activated. Called 800 number to try to fix while on Fisherman's Wharf. Unable to resolve. Spent a lot on the passes. Very disappointing.
Total Rip Off-Do Not Buy. No Refund. Mistakenly purchased a 3 day pass planning on going on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; but most venues are closed on those days. So we had to book everything on Thursday. Also note that due to Covid many places take reservations and they may not be available. We ended up booking reservations for Thursday afternoon our last day here. They also advertised as 25 attractions but there are only 24. Do not purchase this package. You’re better off song your own thing.
Everything was excellent, everyone was friendly wish I had more time and more attractions were open.
My wife and I spent a week in San Francisco. We purchased a 5 day go card. There are about 30 things to do on the card. In 5 days we used it at 15 attractions and some restraint discounts. It paid for itself in 2 days. Well worth the money.
Great deal!!! Took my 2 teen granddaughters and we were able to see tons of things on our two day pass.
I strongly recommend buying the card, if you are sightseeing in San Francisco. We bought 4 and saved bunch of money, even with the fact that I got sick on the second day and could not use mine for the reminder of the time. Just plan carefully, so you have time to see everything you want.
<p>A wonderful travel experience offered by this Card. I find this was the best of Go Cards from most other cities like Chicago and Washington DC. You need to plan to what ll you can do it in one day and start early. worth the money spent.</p>
<p>I spent a week in the city and having this card gave me many options. Definitely will pick up a Go Card when they are available in other cities I visit.</p>
<p>Really enjoyed our trip to San Francisco. Used the Go Card to get around. It was really easy to go on and off them so we could explore the town. The buses were on time, drivers were helpful and always gave us good advice. Would recommend using the Go San Francisco Card to anybody.</p>
<p>Very good value for money. You need to do a little homework in advance to make the maximum of this card. Some attractions may be closed on certain days so will have to carefully plan ahead to decide on you schedules.</p>
<p>The only thing we received with this supposed Go San Francisco Card was a small piece of paper that stated we were able to use the Hop on Hop Off Big Bus tour. We never received any type of card when we went to get our bus voucher. Nothing was stated on the pass except that it was good for 48 hours. We never received any type of map or anything either. I would recommend just going to one of the tour bus places and buying direct from them since it is cheaper. The bus tour was good and informational but the extra money spent on this card was a complete waste of money.</p>
<p>Lots of varied activities to do during our stay in San Francisco. Highly recommend this card. Muir Woods and Wine country trip was awesome.</p>
<p>The tour was good but the bus was delayed so we couldn't jump off and visit anything without having to ride a city bus back. When buying the ticket it would have been nice to know what sites were included in the downtown tour. I ended up having to upgrade.</p>
<p>had a great time we did the 3 hop on hop off tours well worth the money</p>
<p>Purchased a 2 day card and on day one used card for the hop on/off bus to take us right round the city and then to go to places of particular interest. Day two went on wine tour to Sonoma/Napa which was great and arrived back just in time for a quick wander round Madame Tussaud's. If you book a wine tour separately it costs as much as the 2 day card, so great value. You're really getting all the other attractions for free!</p>
<p>Was disappointed that we needed to go down to the embarkadero physically to pick up the voucher and not sent to the hotel. we arrived early at 9am and had to go down a little earlier than we wanted to the wharf area. other than that, was very good value, took one cruise, Cal academy and all the smaller museums ripleys and wax museum at the wharf area. next day we did the hop on hop off bus tour which rounded out a good trip</p>
