Shumit was awesome. My wife and I love history tours and Shumit was a fantastic storyteller. Engaging, informative, and very friendly, we really liked his style of weaving local history and ghost-storytelling - learning more about some of the SF neighborhoods we’ve frequented for years. Highly recommend.

Ben was an exceptional guide. My friends and I had the best time and we were laughing all night. Ben also recommended very good drinks at the stops that we wouldn't have typically tried. We had a blast and would recommend this tour highly. There is a stop at a strip club which had a very entertaining ghost story.

We had a great time. Taylor was excellent as a guide and her telling of the ghost stories was very enjoyable. The tour included a lot of history of SF and the areas we were in. Drinks were good at the places we stopped and not overly expensive. The people on the tour were fun and that adds to the experience. I would do it again

Our guide Ben gave a lot of history to the city! He told cool and engaging stories. I wish this happened later in the night though, we started pretty early and it only lasted a few hours.

Taylor was a wonderful guide. The only issue would be that several in this group arrived early to have a drink at first bar only to find out it was closed. Since it was a Sunday, two of the bars were closed so we had alternate bars to go to. It would’ve been nice to be able to go in those that were closed since they had good ghost stories.

Great spooky SF history, nice bars , great tour guide, would definitely recommend. Intimate and get to meet other great people.

Such a great tour and what a fun night!! Mike made San Francisco even cooler than San Francisco makes itself and showed us some great local finds in bars and told some amazing stories of creepy history that could only come from the makings of a city this cool. (I don’t ever want to be crimped!!) If you’re in town or just want a fun take on the place you call home, book a night with Mike!! Couldn’t recommend his ghost crawl more. (Seriously though, don’t Shanghai me!!)

Our guide Mark was super kind, easy going, knowledgeable and very patient. Enjoyed all the tales and historic facts he shared with us, including the card tricks. His dog the ghost hunter Oakley made the experience so much more fun, we loved him. Also, we really enjoyed the different bars we went to, very cool atmosphere. Definitely recommend if you love spooky stories and bar hopping.

We enjoyed the historic nature of each of the stops, but were hoping for more ghost stories related to each of the locations.

Informative tour guides Mike and Oakley the dog, we learnt about the history of San Francisco and the ghost stories within the city. The bars/pubs we stopped at were unique and places that we wouldn’t normally find as tourists. Although the bars stated in the itinerary, weren’t on the tour. We stopped at: High horse (meeting location, although was closed on the day of our tour.) Specs' Twelve Adler Museum Cafe Condor Club Tupelo Vesuvio Cafe We all enjoyed the tour, a fun thing to do in San Francisco.

Taylor was very knowledgeable about the topic of San Francisco's Ghosts and San Francisco's history. We did not see any ghosts on our tour. We only had to buy drinks at the first bar, not all the bars we went to. She didn't cancel it, though there were only 2 of us. We had a wonderful time and would do it again.

I’ve been a San Francisco resident for over 17 years and found so much joy in this pub crawl. Ben was a very engaging host with his own personal annotates and stories about the Bay Area. I highly recommend this to her whether or not you are new to town or from the area. I got to re-explore parts of San Francisco. I hadn’t been to in years. And who doesn’t love a good ghost story from the Barbary coast. More ghost pirates and haunted pianos please!

This was a fun way to get the low down on the history of Jackson Square and North Beach! Ben, our host, provided some great historic context as we went, so it was much more than just ghost stories. In addition, SF has bars that are unlike anywhere in the US, and this was a great introduction to a few!

I lived in San Francisco in the late 60's and have loved it since. I took my daughter and son (currently lives in SF) on the tour. We all loved it. The City is so full of interesting history. Our guide, Silver, was amazing. She told the history so well and answered my questions with such knowledge. The bars we visited were so cool. I would recommend to anyone. In fact, I have been telling friends here in Portland to be sure to go if they visit. Thank you!

we visited a few different bars with really cool backstories. the tour took about 2 hours and we had a great time! If you’re into finding local haunts and not just an expensive cocktail bar, this is a fun experience and definitely bars you’ll want to remember for next time.

Michael was knowledgeable about the in and outs of the city as well as the intricate history of SF. Would book again once I’m back in San Francisco.

Mike and Oakley were great SF ambassadors. We loved the detailed history of the area! The pubs were unique and chosen for their historical value. A great way to spend an evening followed by the most fantastic north beach Italian food recommended by Mike.

Our tour guide Silver was amazing. Very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. We definitely learned a darker side of San Francisco that we were unaware of.

We had such a great time! Mike along with his trusty sidekick, Oakley provided us with a thorough and interesting tour. My partner and I were the only ones scheduled but have no fear of cancellation, being on your own just means you can ask alllll the questions you want! Mike is a proud native of San Francisco and you can tell he loves his city by the amount of detail he provides in his storytelling. We take A LOT of ghost/history tours and this one was one of the Best! Highly Recommend!

Very interesting tour that provided in-depth information that complemented what we all "learned" in school (supposedly). Local guide was extremely knowledgeable and interactive with the group, providing sometimes provocative details to the "ghost stories" along the way. Definitely something for those interested in the paranormal, as we had some "activity" on the application while enjoying our drinks at a local bar along the route. Although no food/drinks are provided in the tour package, ample opportunities exist along the way to wet your whistle. Definitely worth the cost and a great way to initially get your feet wet going up and down the alleyways in Chinatown and the North Beach areas. Be prepared to work those hips/knees/calves as this is definitely not a "flat" tour!

Kind of hard for me to leave a review since they canceled the event. I am still awaiting my refund. First they tried to provide me with another date which didn’t work for us; since we were visiting. Then they tried to give us a credit for another city. All the while I just kept asking for a refund…as stated above I have not received yet.

Couldn’t more highly recommend the SF Pub Crawl. Michaela was just the absolute sweetest and a great storyteller! I had some issues with my back during our walk, and she had offered to tackle the rest of the tour via taxi…which worked out phenomenally. It was *so* kind of her to offer, and we had an amazing time overall. The last bar stop in China Town was one of my favorite stops in San Fran. Thanks again Michaela!!!
