Tour guide, Jack, was knowledgeable and friendly. The Check-in process at the bike shop was quite slow. Bikes were subpar and not too comfy. One of the guests on our tour got a flat tire …took about 45 minutes to get it changed. Didn’t seem the bike shop equipped the tour guide with necessary gear like CO2 cartridges, and spare tubes for each bike - there was only one spare tube for our tour, to speed up the process if there was a flat tire. Our tour lasted 5 hours…way too long. Also the audio headsets were spotty and not comfortable. I’ve been on a lot of bike tours, this one didn’t measure up.
Adam is the type of tour guy you want he tells it like it is and you’re appreciate him for it. He’s very safety conscious and being of a certain age. I totally appreciate that. Not only is his safety conscious his information about the city is amazing not only do you get the highlights but you get little known details which I totally appreciate. You also get recommendations for restaurants and we took them up on one of his recommendations for an Italian restaurant and oh my God was it good the price reasonable and the service impeccable. Would definitely ride with them again.
My husband and I had an informative tour guided by Adam. He was full of knowledge on San Francisco. Loved the fact that we got lots of excersise while seeing the city. We would definitely recommend this tour!
Took a guided electric bike ride throughout the city with Jack. He was knowledgeable and entertaining. I highly recommend a guided tour as the city can be confusing, the traffic heavy, and the hills very very steep.
Jack was a great guide. The only issue was the headphones didn’t work great but it was a perfect day. The bike company should give you a free water instead of leaving the last customers leaky bottle in the bike bag - otherwise great day.
Adam was a fantastic host! He took great care of us and showed us so many interesting and beautiful places in the city, loaded with history and character. Definitely recommend!
We had a fantastic 4-hour bike tour of San Francisco with Marcus. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. We covered a large area of the city but never felt rushed, with plenty of time to take in the sights. Marcus also doubled as our photographer for the afternoon, capturing some great memories along the way. The stop for lunch was a pleasant surprise and made the tour even better. Highly recommended!
What an amazing day my husband and I had with Adam as our enthusiastic guide! My husband asks lots of questions, and Adam answered everyone with great details. He showed us all sorts of interesting things that we would not have found on our own. He gave us restaurant recommendations and we went to one and had a fabulous lunch– the sourdough bowl of clam chowder. Everyone at the bike shop was so helpful and kind and I would recommend this trip to anyone who needs to learn more about San Francisco. The E bikes were easy to use and the hills were easy to navigate with Adam‘s guidance thank you, Adam and Bay City Bikes!
Adam was a FANTASTIC guide. We had a great time exploring and learning about this amazing city!
Best part of our SF visit! The staff is amazing! Adam was our tour guide and he gave us a locals view of the city. We saw things no other walking or bus tour could have covered. The EBikes are so cool. They work really well and make riding 10-15 miles up hill a breeze (or breezier than without battery power). Overall highly recommend!
I authorized the credit card immediately to confirm the transaction. We had rented two electric bikes for two hours, and the person told us he wouldn't make a fuss about 5 to 10 minutes. We returned 7 minutes late; he laughed it off at first but charged us for the entire day anyway. He also charged us $15 for insurance that I never purchased. So watch out for these scammers; they have absolutely no regard for customers.
We loved the tour! It was fun and thorough. The bikes were amazing. The hills were no problem. Adam was excellent and very knowledgeable about his favorite city, San Francisco.
Our tour guide Adam was a fantastic guide! He gave us great insight into the culture and history of the city, and we learned so much along the way! We loved the route he chose as it was the perfect way to see everything and get a great overview. The bikes were easy and comfortable to ride, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It was truly a perfect afternoon exploring the city. Highly recommend!
Adam was absolutely fantastic during the “Streets of San Francisco “ electric bike tour. Highly recommended, very knowledgeable, great tour !
Adam was amazing!! He was funny and very passionate. I enjoyed every moment. It is lovely to see the City becoming so bike friendly since I last lived there. Thank you!
What a fabulous way to get the lay of this city! I loved it and the guide Adam was a great guide, ambassador to San Francisco and great fun! Loved it.
Our San Francisco bike tour was an incredible experience! We covered many of the city’s most iconic spots while enjoying stunning views and great company. Our guide, Adam, made the tour unforgettable — he was knowledgeable, funny, and clearly passionate about his city. His stories and insights brought San Francisco’s history and character to life. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to see the best of SF in a fun and engaging way!
A great way to experience the best of this beautiful city. Our guide was informative, helpful and friendly. The bikes were in excellent condition.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable tour with Adam — San Francisco came alive! Adam from, Bay City Bike, was absolutely fantastic! He didn’t just show us San Francisco — he brought it to life. His deep knowledge of the city’s history, architecture, and hidden stories was matched only by his genuine passion for sharing it. Every stop came with fascinating details, fun anecdotes, and insights that made us see the city in a whole new way. What really stood out was how engaging and enthusiastic he was — you could feel how much he loves this city, and it made us on the tour excited to learn more. He was warm, funny, and patient with questions, and he tailored the experience perfectly for my husbandand I. If you want to truly experience San Francisco rather than just see it, ask Bay City bike to go with Adam. He’s one of those rare guides who turns a regular tour into a memorable, inspiring journey. Highly recommended!
Lots of fun and incredible sights! Our guide Ryan truly loves SF and his enthusiasm made it even more fun. Definitely some hazardous conditions along the route. Caution is advised along the routes.
I would 100% recommend Bay City Bike Rentals and Tours. We did a private e-bike tour with Adam, and he was amazing. He was very knowledgable and took great care of us. He was very accommodating, and took lots of pictures of us, which I love. He kept us on schedule and we saw it all. We all had so much fun! So glad we did it.
Had a great time! Our guide Ryan was friendly, knowledgeable, and super helpful. Had a nice lunch in Sausalito, then ferried back. Money well spent!
Adam was a wealth of info and interesting stories. He kept us safe even on the holiday weekend and there was a nice lunch stop with many options. Bring money and a water bottle.
Loved seeing San Francisco by bike! Our guide, Adam, knew the city well and shared so much history and fun facts that we never would have learned on our own. The bikes were well maintained and easy to ride. Thanks, Adam, for a great ride through your beautiful city!
The bike tour was very good. We saw a lot of very interesting parts of the city we would have never seen on our own. Part of the tour took us around Oracle park which was nice but there was a baseball game starting when we went through which made it very difficult to manage with the crowds of people. It was very stressful and difficult which caused me to fall off my bike. Luckily I only suffered some scrapes and bruises and my self esteem was hurt also. It was very nice that after the tour you were free to explore the city on your bike until 8pm.
An absolutely amazing ride through the streets of San Francisco with our guide, Adam! He made this such fun with anecdotal explanations and historical facts! We had a blast!
Adam led our family of 6 plus other travelers on an educational & fun tour of the city. Adam did a great job of making us feel safe riding bikes through the streets of San Francisco. The e-bikes were a lot of fun and helped us cover many of the different San Francisco neighborhoods. Adam is very passionate about the city and its history.
The tour was very nice, the tour guide was Excellent !!!! It was very entertaining with a lot or learning and very safe, good exercise. Thanks Adam.
Great adventure. Our guide Adam was very knowledgeable about San Francisco history and told many interesting stories. The E-bike was new and worked very well.
an excellent overview of the city with an informative guide. It helped us orientate to the important landmarks and also gave us an insight into the diverse culture of San Francisco
Great personalized 3 hour e bike tour of all the different surrounding neighborhoods. Adam, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and kept us safe on the streets. We were able to have the bikes for the rest of the day. He explained how to cross the San Francisco bridge on our own which was quite a memorable adventure. Our bikes were well maintained and easy to use.
Had an amazing day with Ginger! She kept us safe, showed us the highlights and add her fun personality to the day. Thank you Ginger for a great day!
I had a great time exploring San Francisco by bike with our guide Adam. We‘ve seen a lot of places around the city and got a lot of information about it.
Our tourguide was Adam and he did a really great job. Always had a good joke and totally knew what he was talking about. You can really feel that he loves „his“ city.
This was a very memorable and unique way to experience hidden gems in San Fransisco. Adam took pride in his city, and really shared what he knew about his favorite landmarks in a educationally fun way.
It was wonderful to see San Francisco on a bike. The tour guide, Adam, was awesome and was very knowledgeable about the city and its history.
Takes you by major sites including beautiful parks. Adam, our guide, made sure we were safe moving through the busy SF streets. Electric bikes were great!
My husband and I took an e-bike city tour, and Adam was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the city and took us to various areas during the tour. At the end, he showed us the way to ride the bikes to the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a wonderful experience!
Adam did an excellent job giving us a tour of “his city!” Great historical info and his love of SF was very apparent! Thanks for a great ride!!
We did the Streets of San Fransisco tour and had a great time. Our tour guide Adam was very knowledgable and gave us lots of interesting information about the city. We had our children aged 15 and 13 with us and they enjoyed it too. We were able to keep the bikes for a few extra hours after the tour finished so we could go over the Golden Gate bridge which was great.
We had an amazing time on the 4 hour San Francisco Bike Tour. Our guide, Adam, was exceptional. His knowledge of the city he loves was phenomenal and he made the whole tour very interesting. Must admit the electric bike made it a lot easier when we had to go up hill! Highly recommend.
Great tour to see much of the city! Adam was wonderfully knowledgeable and friendly for the entire tour. He made a point of including relevant information that was pertinent to us specifically. Would totally recommend this tour!
Great time- I thought I would be exhausted due to the hills but with the electric bike it was so easy. I would highly recommend the excursion.
A little pricey but worth the $ (and you get to keep the bike, which comes with a lock, until nighttime). Our tour guide Adam really knows SF. He has a passion for the place, and it shows. See Chinatown, a fortune-cookie factory, the shoreline, skyscrapers, stadiums, house boats, old SF, street art, the Mission and beyond. Better than hop-on/hope-off and a walking tour, because you cover way more ground quickly. Don’t forget to ask Adam for ideas for bars, restaurants, sites to see, etc. We followed his advice (who doesn’t love an tiki bar!) and it really enriched the trip. You don’t have to be an expert bicyclist by any means but I wouldn’t recommend the tour if you’re a legitimately bad bicyclist.
What an excellent tour! I cannot say enough nice things about our tour guide, Adam. He was incredibly attentive and made sure I was safe the entire time. His knowledge of each neighborhood and San Fran history was impressive. This was a memorable experience, and I highly recommend making this tour part of your next trip to the Bay.
Our guide was great. He was very knowledgeable and knew all the best spots. It was a great tour overall
My husband and I went on a tour yesterday and absolutely loved it! Adam took us to all the most amazing spots and gave us the hidden history of SF. He was funny, knowledgeable, and of course prioritized safety. He had the best restaurant recommendations and really made us feel like we knew the city by the end of the tour! After the tour ended, we were able to keep the bikes and go on a self-guided trip to the Golden Gate Bridge, which we were given directions to. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting SF, whether it’s your first time here or your tenth - there’s always something new to learn and discover!
Adam was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and fun to do the tour with. Totally recommend doing this tour!
Our guide, Adam, was excellent. The tour was fun and informative. The bikes were in top condition and easy to ride.
