Most excellent way to see a lot of the city and learn facts and history of the area and city. Great spots for photo ops.

Tour was apparently cancelled several weeks before the date. I never received an email telling me about cancellation from Viator or the tour operator. Viator charged my card anyway. I called the tour operator when they no showed and he issued a refund, but this never should have happened. It ruined an otherwise well-planned trip. Do better!

The tour was excellent. Our guide, Chris, was very knowledgeable. It was exactly what we wanted. Highly recommended.

We had such a wonderful tour with the San Francisco Tour Company in their electric VW van\. We were incredibly lucky to be the only two people on the tour, which made the whole experience feel really personal and special\. 😅🙌🏾 Our guide, **Chris Knoll**, was absolutely fantastic\. He is a very knowledgeable young historian who has lived all over the world, and his knowledge and passion really came through throughout the tour\. He brought San Francisco’s history to life in such an interesting and enjoyable way\. But what really made the day special for me was how comfortable Chris made us both feel\. My husband Les is quite a quiet and reserved man, but Chris somehow brought him out of his shell\. Les relaxed, asked lots of questions and even got involved in plenty of banter — which honestly made my day\! ❤️ Chris was friendly, engaging, patient and incredibly knowledgeable, while still keeping the tour relaxed and fun\. It felt much more like spending the day with someone who genuinely enjoys sharing the city than simply being taken around on a sightseeing tour\. The electric VW van was fantastic too, and having our own private experience made it even more memorable\. **A huge thank you to Chris for making our San Francisco experience so special\. Awesome tour! We started with a clean new van equipped with charging cables, which was a great touch. Chris was amazing, friendly knowledgeable, and full of great recommendations for places to eat and visit in while we were in San Francisco. The tour was fantastic and gave us the opportunity to see and visit many of the cities wonderful sights. Chris really helped us appreciate the layout, history and heritage of San Francisco. We especially love the small intimate group experience. It allowed us to spend more time seeing the sites we were most interested in and gave us the opportunity to ask questions that may not have been possible with a larger group. I highly recommend Chris and his tour. It was enjoyable, informative, and a memorable experience. I highly recommend!

Chris provided an amazing tour. He took the time to explain each location we visited. He gave us the chance to take amazing pictures of the famous Golden Gate Bridge, the world's crooked street, Robin Williams' house, the Bisons, North Beach, and San Francisco Central Park, to name just a few. This tour was worth every penny. I highly recommend the San Francisco City Tour in a Volkswagen EV van; the van has upscale features, including Wi-Fi and charging ports. If you are not familiar with San Francisco this is the tour you need. Small group and the tour guide is very friendly and ready to answer all your questions. The tour gives you a great impression from the city of San Francisco. I think he forgot about the drinks and snacks or the morning tour eat them all🤔

My son and I wanted to see a lot of San Francisco in the limited time we had, so we signed up for this tour. I looked at some other similar ones but there were stories of missed pickups and van breakdowns here and there so I opted for the brand new VW bus! So glad we did. We were the only ones in our tour and our guide Chris let us know if we had any special requests he would try to accommodate! That was nice though we didn’t have any. The tour was a bit over 3 hours and we saw so many areas! Chris showed us the Presidio and gave detailed history about it, as well as The Castro, Haight Ashbury, Golden Gate Park (I knew nothing about this huge wonderful park!). We drive down Lombard Street and saw the old site of the World Fair and learned about the one area left standing after the fair. All along the way Chris explained the history and played music from artists that were from or formed in San Francisco. We were extreme comfortable in the VW electric van and Chris’s driving was good. I would absolutely recommend this tour. Now I know what areas I’d like to peruse longer on the next visit to San Fran!

We booked a tour through Viator and met our guide Chris as the meeting spot near Union Square. As no one else had booked for this time we had a personal tour of much of San Francisco. As I was travelling with my 80 y.o. mother this was the best way for us to see a lot, learn a lot, and cope with the hills. Chris was an enthusiastic champion for SF and using the electric VW van was the best of both worlds; new tech and past traditions. I know the old buses are cool but every choice using fossil fuels matter. Strongly recommend this tour if you want to see many of the sight-seeing hits in 3 hours.

Chris was the perfect guide and host for our tour. A brand new VW camper EV may not have the character of an old Skool Van - but it has comfort, no noise and no emissions as well as a trunk full of cold drinks and A/C. The tour was a blend of interactive conversation interspersed with stops at key city locations, with time to take in the sights and at pace that didn’t feel rushed but ensured we kept on track to get everything in. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get a snapshot of the city with someone local who has the inside scoop and fun facts mixed with history.

The best way to see a bunch of San Francisco neighborhoods, landmarks and famous sights all in 3 hours. The experience was very comfortable, The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the whole experience was amazing. We saw so many things that we would never have the time and organization skills to see if we did this by uber or car rental. Highly recommend this company!

This was a perfect tour around SF. We were deliberating over which tour to choose for some time, and we are so glad we went with this one. We've always wanted to take a tour of San Francisco that covered all the highlights, and The San Francisco Tour Co. 3-hr City tour checked all the boxes. It was the perfect way to see places like Alamo Square and the Painted Ladies, Union Square, Haight Ashbury, Golden Gate Park, Chinatown, Lombard Street, Castro District, the Marina, and the Presidio in a few hours. What really stood out was the enlightening commentary by Chris, our knowledgeable and personable tour guide, who clearly enjoyed sharing his love and passion for the City. Chris wanted us to be comfortable, providing snacks and drinks, and tailored the tour to our specific interests. He made several stops for photo opportunities, and even added an extra stop to Pier 39 so we could do some shopping. We debated about a 2 hour tour in a retro vw bus or a 3 hour tour in a new EV volkswagen. We are really happy we chose the 3 hour tour. First of all, the van is super comfortable and so quiet. With the longer tour we saw all of the highlights you must see, but it also took us out of the busiest tourist area. Even though I have been to SF several times before, I saw and learned lots of new things. Our guide, Chris, was very passionate and knowledgeable about the city. He had a great sense of humor as well and kept us very entertained - and his playlist was spot on! He was also a good driver and made us feel very safe on the busy city streets. Chris also had great ideas and tips for the rest of our time in SF. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting San Francisco looking for a fun, comfortable and informative overview of the city.

It was clear from the start that Chris was passionate about SF as we saw parts of the city we wouldn’t have had chance to see if we’d gone for a 2 hour tour. We were lucky enough to have the tour to ourselves which was an added bonus. The VW was perfect with it’s comfortable, roomy interior with leather and a/c. So pleased with our choice of luxury rather than going for nostalgia. We had plenty of stops for photo opportunities. Lots of SF facts that surprised us (in a nice way).
