My boyfriend gave me this escape room as a gift, and we spent a fun 2.5 hours solving it in SOMA. Saw parts of town that we wouldn't have otherwise, got some steps in, and got to flex our "problem-solving" muscles. If you like escape rooms or games, I'd recommend picking up the outdoor escape room for your home city!

I went on a date where we played the Escapely game around SOMA (south of market in San Francisco). The clues were really clever and we had so much fun solving the puzzles. It made our date super fun and engaging. Highly recommend for friends and family to do as well.
What a VERY cool outdoor experience! Our kids range from 18 to 24, so it's tough to agree on activities everyone enjoys, school and work schedules don't help. Travel plans can get expensive. This outdoor escape adventure in San Francisco totally exceeded our expectations. Each challenge was unique. I loved watching how logically our kids approached everything. It was fun to see their different problem-solving styles in action—they came in handy throughout! We all agreed it was a blast, and would definitely do it again. Highly recommend for families looking for a fun, engaging way to bond and explore the city outdoors!
We had fun exploring SF. We like how they had us go to art that is around the city. Just a lot of walking, so prepare for that. Also, best for a small group and teens. I think young kids will get too tired and they may not be able to figure out the clues.
My family and I had such a wonderful experience with the Escapely game in San Francisco. We weren’t sure what to expect, but it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The guided walk blended sightseeing, storytelling and puzzle solving perfectly. We loved how each clue taught us something interesting about the city and led us to spots we might have otherwise missed. It felt like a fun adventure and a mini tour at the same time, and the puzzles were challenging in the best way. Most importantly, it was a great bonding experience for all of us. We laughed, learned, explored and worked together every step of the way. Highly recommended for families, visitors or anyone who wants a unique and engaging way to discover San Francisco. We’ll definitely try Escapely again in another city!
My wife and I did the game for a date and had a great time exploring parts of San Francisco we had not seen before. The puzzles were just the right difficulty and we liked that they incorporated the landmarks and culture of the city. We recommend Escapely to all of our family and friends!
We loved the outdoor escape room! Not only was it fun for my son’s 11th birthday party, but it brought us to new parts of the city that we hadn’t yet explored and uncovered some gorgeous urban art. Lots of fun was had by all!

This was so much fun. We did this escape box in the morning before our Alcatraz Tour. The box wasn't too difficult but there were a few tasks that made us pause. Another great aspect is seeing different parts of the city. We came across Sana'a which is a Yemeni Cafe. Delicious! We never would have stopped in if it weren't for this experience. There were four of us....two adults and two teens. It took less than three hours to finish. We didn't rush and did stop into a few places along the way.
Cute game, customer service is great for sales, but not for follow through. Glitchy/technical, and the concierge you're promised is difficult to find/contact if you don't ask how to in advance (the game box, flyers and app all didn't have contact information for help -- which is exactly where you need to have it when you're out and about playing the game). Was definitely disappointed in the customer service, and $500 for 10 players wasn't cheap. Game itself is cute and fun if you don't run into any glitches. If you do run into glitches and can't contact someone for help, you're literally stuck and cannot finish the game. Would have gotten 5 stars if the live help they offered were actually easy to find when you need it.
This game was the perfect way to spend a day in the city! I bought the game box for me and my partner to celebrate our anniversary since we love puzzles. This was the perfect intersection of fun, perfectly challenging puzzles, and sightseeing parts of the city we'd never explored. The clues were integrated seamlessly into real-life art installations and monuments around the city with a fun storyline. It is clear how much thought and attention to detail was put into making this game. We spent about 3 hours walking around, solving the clues, and making a few impromptu stops along the way. It was a great experience and about half the cost of what a usual date night for us would be! I would absolutely recommend!
The puzzles were fun and challenging! We enjoyed the downtown tour and loved the creative way each puzzle integrated with public art and monuments.
This was such a wonderful experience! I did it with my friends and partner as a birthday celebration and we had an absolute blast solving puzzles while exploring hidden gems in SF. We loved the art along the way and there were a lot of spots for fun pictures. It was great to get in touch with our inner kids while playing at puzzle solving! I am planning to get an escapely game to do with my family over the holidays and buying a few more as fun experiential gifts for friends and family around the country! Definitely recommend leaving a little extra time for side quests of cool spots to explore along the way as well as snack pit stops (saving the world is hungry work!). Hope many others also choose to play! Great tour of the city and good puzzles to go with it. Give you about 2 to 3 hours to explore some of the landmarks in SOMA. Highly recommend.
I am an avid escape room enthusiast - both in person and from a box. I absolutely loved this experience. I found the game challenging but not frustrating. It was a fantastic way to see my city in an area I rarely spend time. I am going to be in Chicago and New York this fall and plan to purchase both. The game exceeded my expectations. 5/5 stars. Thanks for the adventure, I’m looking forward to exploring more games!
We really had a blast with the game! I had prepared it as a surprise for my boyfriend on his birthday and he LOVED it! We got to explore areas of San Francisco we had never seen before and the game was really interesting! Amazing experience!
That was a lot of fun! I’ve been living here in San Francisco for over 2 years but there were still new places I hadn’t seen before on the route for clues. I enjoyed that I had to think to connect the clues, but it never got frustrating (only had to use a hint once). I played with a group of 5 friends all in our mid 20s and it was a nice way to spend a couple hours together and walk around the city. I think the way the puzzles were connected with the real world clues was done very nicely, and well thought out. Looking forward to doing more of these!
The games, puzzles and riddles were just the right amount of fun vs. challenging. We actually saw some new sights in San Francisco. Although, we went on a Sunday morning, and there weren't many tourists or business people in the Financial District, so "be aware" of homeless approaching your group and pan-handling. "Best to go during busier times", but the experience itself was quite fun, and I'd recommend it.
We are from the area, but enjoyed being able to walk around the areas we normally drive by. It's great that many of the locations had in-app information about the local landmarks as well. The puzzles in the box were not too difficult and great hints were available if needed. My only disappointment is that I cannot play the box again. The locations where the box took us to were also great. I think it would be helpful for future if there was a vague start and end location. So situating parking would be easier.
