I was the only person on this tour. Honestly, this may have given the guide Joe the opportunity to essentially geek out with me about San Francisco. The food was excellent but the company was better.

Wonderful walking tour and Joseph was the consummate guide! Fascinating history of the North Beach area with delicious food stops. Joseph’s love of the city came through in his presentation ~ highly recommend!
Booked the tour for family. They showed up (20 minutes early) it had been cancelled and they didn’t even bother to tell us!
Interesting historical stories about San Fran, cool places to visit and snacks had. Great time and great host.
Joseph was a great tour guide! He was very knowledgeable, personable and just an all around fun guide. The Food Tour was great for my friend and I because as we're learning about a part of the city and walking the food breaks kept us energized.
Our very knowledgeable guide took us on a fun fact filled walk in North Beach. There were 3 stops for food. One for antipasto at a restaurant (You could order wine or beer for an extra charge ) A slice of amazing pizza from a takeout window that we ate in the park while listening to the history of North Beach. Last stop was for creamy gelato. We left with knowing interesting facts about the neighborhood and full from delicious food.
This is a very worthwhile walking tour. I would say there is more focus on history, than food. We learned a lot and had fun along the way. The stop at the Mona Lisa Restaurant for charcuterie and Golden Boy for pizza were great choices. I highly recommend the tour!
Joseph’s knowledge of the history of the North Beach area meant he brought to life things we wouldn’t have seen or found. Food was a great slice of American-Italian culture too!
They cancelled the tour the day before without any explanation, so I did not get to go. It was a disappointment as I had little opportunity to make other plans
Our tour guide did not show up. No text was sent . Total waste of time and cab ride to downtown. Tour operator said guide had to go to ER
Great tour. Guide was very good and like able. Easy walk with no steep hills. Took time and stopped often. The food stops were very delicious.

A great way to learn about North Beach and have some great food! We loved it! A wonderful way to learn about one of San Francisco’s most vibrant neighborhoods.
Our tour guide, Joseph, was hands down the best we’ve ever had. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the city. He was super personable and friendly. We would highly recommend this tour, and Joseph!

Gosh I’m so behind in this! We were there I. Late February 2023. Joseph was AMAZING! incredibly personable, so knowledgeable! It was a super rainy day so the other group cancelled. It was just the three of us (husband, 20 year old son and myself). We enjoyed every minute.. Joseph has an encyclopedic knowledge of his hometown.so informative and such a delight to talk too. One of our best tours ever. I think I have a little crush on this renaissance man! Definitely worth your time and money. Wonderful information and great food. Joseph if your ever in Idaho let us return the favor ❤️.
Joe was a wonderful guide and extremely knowledgeable. His choice of food venues to stop and sample their bill of fare was spot on, as was his points of interests. We would highly recommend this tour and in particular our great guide Joe.
Joseph was very knowledgeable about San Francisco history. He was also friendly and easy to talk to. We had a nice time.
Joseph was very knowledgeable and friendly. Provided a lot of information about the area and history of San Francisco. Tour included several stops for great authentic Italian food.
The history of the buildings and surrounding areas were very interesting! Joseph was an excellent tour guide!
Joseph was a delight and extremely knowledgeable. The food choices were all amazing. He took his time with us and we got more than what we expected.
The Mona Lisa was the best food experience and Joseph was a great guide. We learned a lot about North Beach area.
This was the best walking tour we’ve ever been on. Our two hour tour turned into a fabulous 4 hours of history of San Francisco and North Beach and learning about the culture of this friendly neighborhood. Our guide Joseph had grown up in the area and knew it well. He was also well versed in California history and local lore. We had a delicious Antipasta at a local North Beach eatery and finished our tour with an espresso and pastry from a quaint Italian Bakery. Joseph gave us great recommendations for dinner after which we stopped at City Lights bookstore and picked up a couple of paperbacks’ some new, some old. We would go on any tour led by Joseph!! You will not regret choosing this walking tour.
Joseph the tour guide ! He was great. Personable, knowledgeable, accommodating. He was the reason for the success of the tour. Thanks Joseph. The Kepharts
Joseph was great and we had a great time. Learned and ate wonderful things. Highly recommend and would definitely do again.
The city has this neighborhood that you will want to return both day and night. Many gastronomic places, buildings with characteristic architectural style in SF. It is best to know curious facts and taste rich things! A walk to do at any time of your trip.
