Our first visit to San Francisco was the most memorable! On New Year's Eve, we planned a last-minute day trip to the wine country and its surrounding including the Muir Woods. We found the perfect touring company: ALEGRO PRIVATE TOURS that had availability for a tour on New Year's Day. We booked online quickly and easily. On the next day, Ms. Pep picked us up at our hotel right on time. From the beginning, she showed us great courtesy and helped us plan our customized itinerary for the day. What an amazing day we had. 5 girls from Australia who had never been to San Francisco were treated to the best day in the Napa Valley and SFC. A week before we arrived, I was in touch with Pep and she arranged our entire day. From the first tasting (amazing area set up for us) then to lunch at Brix and to top it off Pep took us to Sausalito and some of the hot spots in SFC. Could not recommend this tour more highly! Pep’s knowledge of the city and attention to detail made this a day we will never forget. She was also our professional photographer for the day! Thanks so much, we hope to see you again one day.
We went with the big bus tour company, paid 250usd pp. is a small bus that goes to 2 wineries at Napa Valley, we went to Madonna estate vinery, good, not impressed with the wines. The second one was Ru vando vinery, very good wines and beautiful place Both wineries where well guided, good information and nice guides. Love this tour, even in the bus, you have a tour guide. I would certainly recommend it
Pep came to the rescue as we found ourselves available for a last minute tour to the wine country. We phoned her in the late morning and by 1:30 we were on our way to explore. I wish I could leave 10 stars for this experience. We were in San Francisco for only a few days for a conference. Pep picked us up directly from our hotel and was more than accommodating in allowing us to tour San Francisco on our drive to Napa/Sonoma. She is extremely knowledgeable and taught us all we needed to know about wine, making wine, and the Bay area. This was a very wonderful value for the experience.

Pep helped to make our 10 year anniversary trip special. She and I worked together to plan a full day of wine tastings in Napa Valley, capped off with a castle tour followed by a lovely dinner. Pep provided a great deal of insight and knowledge of the area. She took a vested interest in aiming to give my wife and I the best experience possible. We has a very nice time with Pep.
<p>Our tour guide was Sharon Traeger, and she was amazing! She contacted us several times in advance of our trip to determine our tastes and expectations, and then worked with us to craft an itinerary that would suit our needs.<br/> Our first stop was a quick detour to the Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center for some photos of the bridge. Then it was off to Sonoma. Sharon was very engaging and informative the entire trip. She had lots of exhibits to share with us maps, articles, etc.. Our first winery was Lasseter Family Winery. Unfortunately, we were a little late for our scheduled tour/tasting due to an accident on the bridge, but we were able to call ahead and inform them of the situation, and they were incredibly accommodating once we arrived, including giving us a little private tour as we we caught up with the rest of the group so that we wouldn't miss anything. The tour itself was very interesting, and the grounds are lovely.<br/> Our next winery was St. Francis, and this was the highlight of the day. We weren't able to schedule a tour here because we didn't book far enough in advance, but our experience just in the tasting room itself was wonderful! The representative who we met was Karen, and if you're ever at St. Francis, make a beeline for her! Super friendly and engaging, generous with the pours, and very knowledgeable. We were able to take a quick walk around the grounds before heading out although we did order a few bottles to be shipped back.<br/> Next, we headed into the town of Sonoma for lunch at the Girl and The Fig. Very delicious! Our final stop was Viansa Sonoma, which had probably the prettiest grounds of the wineries we visited, although I personally did not find their wines to be as good as either Lasseter or, especially, St. Francis. Finally, it was back to San Francisco.<br/> Overall, the whole day was a complete highlight of our trip! My only complaint was that Sharon seemed unsure of the duration of our tour, and then informed us after lunch in Sonoma that if we wished to continue, there would be extra charges. But, we were enjoying ourselves so much, we didn't mind extending either the time or cost.</p>
