James was a great tour guide! We had such a great time at all the wineries and learning about the history of SF along the way.

Nice introduction to Napa valley wines…it was 1.5 ish hours drive (over the Golden Gate Bridge!!) into the Napa Valley. We went to 2 lovely wineries for about an hour each…and you could drink as much or as little as you want in that time. Knowledgeable, friendly driver!
It was very informative! Grady was an excellent guide. Was over the top with information- delivered in a professional and entertaining manner. He’s a keeper.
The area is absolutely gorgeous and the venues were very warm and welcoming. It was fun to try different kinds of wine and learn more about how they are made and processed. Our driver was very engaging, kind, and professional. We would highly recommend this experience for the value.
Driver and guide Grady of tower tours was warm and friendly , and very well informed. What amazed me is that he is youthful at 88 years age.
Overall, the experience was a lot of fun, and the wine tastings at both vineyards were very enjoyable. After drinking a few glasses of wine, it would have been great to just relax but the tour guide talked way too much on the way back.
Great experience for the cost. The bus ride takes the risk out of the experience. I could see this being fun for larger groups of people as well (we were just 2, but with 30 others)
Great to have time for a leisurely lunch in Yountville! Interesting wine tasting at three wineries. Very historical and informative!
The tour length was good and the tour guide Grady was great. He was a wealth of knowledge about San Francisco and the wineries we passed. The stop for lunch in Sonoma Square was lovely and picturesque. My mid reading was due to the wineries we visited. There last said 3 of these Madonna Estates, Muscardini Cellars, Sutter Home, and Ru Vango Winery. We visited 2 of those (Madonna Estates and Ru Vango) and Cline. While all the had great service and lovely staff and grounds, the wines at Ru Vango and Cline were not worth the trip. We purchased a bottle at Madonna and would have orchard more had we known the other 3 were going to be horrible. Ru Vango's focus is on art not wine and it shows in the taste. We also did not get the 45-minute Sausalito that was listed in the tour information.
Our trip and tour of the winery's was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon with both offering plenty of selections. The only drawback and it affected the drivers tip drastically we had a large Hispanic family and the driver played music catering to them directly and not caring about the res of the passengers on board. When I told him afterwards he just laughed it off.
Amazing experience! They were extremely friendly! Amazing views, very descriptive and entertaining program.
Excellent customer service from patrique and Carlos A
Scenic stops along the way to view Golden Gate Bridge and the city.Patrick gave us a good tour and his humor was infectious!
Excellent very comfortable the scenery was breathtaking the presentations the wine everything was great
Lovely drive into Sonoma. Wineries were good choices. Both Wineries were informative, welcoming and served generous tastings of their wine. However, our tour guide was stuck in the past with his movies and spent too much time telling us how much he loved SF. More time on history would have been more interesting.
All day Napa Valley wine tour. We visited three wineries and had 90 minutes for lunch. Traveled in a small, lovely van. Driver/tour guide was wonderful l. He gave great information about the sights as we drove through San Francisco and Napa Valley. We were a family of 5 (kids 25 and 22). We all loved it. Two out of the three wineries were fabulous. Madonna and Napa were fantastic, Sutton home was a disappointment. Definitely would recommend this tour!
Our driver, Patrick was ahead of everything. He was ready for our tour before the tour operators even got us checked in. We had a plethora or states and nations represented on our tour and he was able to relate any relevant information to each and every one of our places. We went to 3 wineries. All had their quaint qualities. I would definitely tour with this company again.
We did the half day tour. It’s a bus ride to Napa with stops at two small wineries. The bus was old and crowded with small seats. The wineries they stop by are very small with very limited scenaries that does not represent Napa Valley at all. I feel like this is not really a tour, but just a bus ride to get drunk, which does not worth the price at all. Maybe you need to advertise a bit clearer.
The 'Meet and Greet' male at the White Bus was intensely aggressive, bordering on threathening, when I didn't move as quickly as he wanted me to move to the end of the queue which only comprised 2 women. I was very close to calling the Police.
Excellent visits to Madonna and Ru Vanga wineries! Steve was a fantastic driver who also gave us a ‘tour’ of the areas that we passed along the way!! Highly recommended!!
Patrick was an excellent tour guide and kept us entertained throughout the tour. Of the wineries we visited, the Madonna was our favourite! The tour was excellent and good value for money . Thoroughly recommend it.
Left 10 minutes late waiting for late comers. NEVER should happen!! Rerouted through Sausolito to pick up 4. NEVER should have happened. A 4 hour tour was a 6 hour tour. Had to change dinner reservations.
The half day Naps and Sonona valley tour was great. We had James as a driver who has been doing all kinds of San Francisco tours for 47 years he will educate you about the all of San Francisco along the trip.
The tour was great but the wineries were small scale and did not offer snacks with the wine. I would recommend this as Napa is beautiful but I would explain you don’t get to see much of Napa on the 1/2 day tour maybe it’s better for a full day.
The first winery was informative and had an interesting family heritage. Their wines were also nice quality. We signed up for their wine club. The second winery was more interested in showing off their art with only one variety offered for tasting.
The trip through the wine country was beautiful. Our driver was knowledgeable and friendly. However, he talked the entire tour. To create a more positive experience, perhaps the tour guide should consider allowing the recipients to relax and ride especially after a few tastings. It would have allowed us to take in the view of the beautiful landscape. Overall the experience was amazing.
This was so fun! Just enough time. Our tour guide Marco was great. It’s a great value for the price. We really enjoyed ourselves and this took the logistics off our plate!
The road trip is better than the rest. Is a beautiful region. The first vineyard guide, Seven, was lovely, cheerful and knowledgeable.
Good experience overall. I would say individuals going on a wine tour are not looking for a destination at Sutter Home.
I really enjoyed learning how wine is made with grapes and tasting it also enjoyed the ride there got to tour the city on the way there
Half day tour good for families with seniors. Wine tasting is included and you get enough time to take pictures in the vineyards. The driver James is very kind and informative. I just hoped the tour includes a stop at the Welcome to Napa Valley sign.
Very pleasant and informative. A relaxing tour. Tour guide was pleasant and friendly. Went above and beyond
They will have a fabulous afternoon especially if they have the legend driver that is Grady! We were blessed with a sunny autumn day, so the journey and the2 vineyards we went to were looking amazing, we tasted superb wines too
Great tour perfect day time activity and perfect to do alone just find some one to take your pictures
Grady was an amazing tour guide. Plenty of time at each winery and time for lunch. Good mix of wineries from expensive to not so expensive
The ride was great. James the driver was excellent. The two wineries were beautiful. The weather was great.
Great trip - very fun group Probably would do a half day trip next time. Really liked the Madonna vineyard
This tour was wonderful/perfect experience ! Of course the wines were tasty, and our tour guide/bus driver was great. He pointed out numerous interesting sites along the drive and was quite humorous throughout the day. It was a great day!
It gives a bad description since on it mentions that includes free time for lunch at Sonoma and its NOT true
Very well organized. First winery was the best. Had plenty of free wine tasting. Visited 2 winery places and preferred the first place. Tour driver gave us different landmarks as we drove
The staff are wonderful, and our driver was entertaining and very friendly. However, for an all day wine tasting, to have stopped at only 3 wineries (one of which was not good at all) was highly disappointing. If you take this tour, choose the half-day option.
Really enjoyed this experience. It was definitely worth it. The 2 winery tours were different but equally interesting! We went to Madonna for an indoor experience and Backstage for an outdoor experience. A lot of wines to try at each and the hosts were great!
It was a great experience and had a good time visiting the Napa valley. Our guide James was really great.
I arranged five charter tours with Big Bus Tours for my employer, John Muir Land Trust. It is not an exaggeration to say that Big Bus Tours and their staff have been wonderful to work with. I am definitely planning to schedule more charter tours with them and have already recommended them to someone planning a wedding. Big Bus Tours' reservation manager is incredibly helpful, responsive, professional, and friendly. She made working with the company both easy and a pleasure. We were fortunate to have the same driver for each tour, Marco, who provided safe and friendly transportation, even in the rain! Marco told me about his wine country tours, and I'm looking forward to joining one in the future when I have out-of-state guests. Marco is very knowledgeable about the Bay Area, including the Napa and Sonoma wine country areas. I highly recommend Big Bus Tours!
Very disappointed that half day only included 2 wineries and no stop at Sonoma Square. Wine was good but don't expect extravagant wineries. James, our guide, was informative and knowledgeable.
Truly a great experience ! Two wineries and friendly staff was knowledgeable and welcoming. The tour bus was comfortable with a very likeable driver.
The half-day wine tour is a waste of your time and money. Two no name small wineries with no aromatic basements in historic vineyards just a taxi ride to two tiny "boutique" vineyards that upsell the entire time. You spend about :45 minutes at each place in the gift shop vs touring. Disappointing afternoon!
It was said the tour will visit 3 to 5 wineries and have wine taste. We only went two wineries and the second winery we visited was not well organized and the host didn’t explain which wine we were tasting or introduce the winery background or history. We were told that the tour would be 6 to 7 hours from 12:30 to 6:30. But We started at 12:45 and came back around 5:25ish. It was not what we expected. The tour guide was knowledgable.
Great local guide Brady and great group Two out of 3 wineries were excellent with pouring multiple tastings
I had a really incredible trip with my tour guide Marco. We went to Madonna, Ru Dango and Muscardini. All of the vineyards were gorgeous and had incredible wine. I especially loved the artwork at Ru Dango and the gorgeous views of its vineyard. Sonoma Square was gorgeous. I had an excellent time at Sunflower Cafe and the homemade ice cream shop. The historical sites like the Barracks and mission in Sonoma square were also awesome. Thank you Marco for the incredible trip! 10/10.
