We had an awesome experience!! Our tour guide, Lawson, is extremely knowledgeable and his passion for his job is evident. He is definitely an asset to the tour company! In addition, he is a very kind, respectful, understanding and personable individual. We will happily recommend this tour to others!!

Great morning being guided by Laura. Detailed guidance with warmth and care for our wellbeing.
I didn't go because no one came........ If you want to go somewhere use another company. Firstly we had booked a muir woods/sausalito tour for Saturday 10/10/26 at 1:15 and they called me at noon Friday and said we don't have enough people can you move to tomorrow.. It was annoying but we get it so we moved to 10/11/26 at 1:15. We are around 2 hours away so we had gotten a dog sitter and luckily she was able to come the next day even though that was last minute. Then 10/11 is here and we drive the 2 hours up to San Francisco and park and 1:15 comes and goes. Finally we call around 1:30 and they say some of the streets are closed and our diver is having trouble. Ok no worries thanks for the update (weird we had to call for the update though) another 20 minutes goes by and we are all just standing in a parking lot waiting for this bus. We call again, they say the driver is pulled over trying to figure out how to get over here (meanwhile every tour group bus has been coming and going on this street. Tower tours is getting in and out no problem and all of the double decker buses are coming and going. We've seen every tour bus at this point except ours) They send us the tracking for the bus and he's driving away from us? Finally its been an hour and 15 minutes the company stopped answering our calls. The last time I talked to them I asked for a refund and he stated that I'm supposed to cancel within 24 hours as if this is our fault. We waited more and finally gave up after 2 hours. No bus ever came, no updates, no nothing. finally another hour goes by (its been 3 hours now) I call again- a lady in florida answers and says "well can you do it tomorrow?" No I can't do it tomorrow and now I don't want to do it at all give me a refund and again they can't guarantee my hundreds of dollars back, thats not including the gas for 4 hours of driving, the $55 in parking that we paid to stand in a parking lot for hours, or the $100+ I paid for a dog sitter since we would be gone all day. What a giant waste of time. This company is a scam. Where is my money????
Jon was a great guide. He gave us a lot of information. But I also enjoyed the quiet time with good music playing.
The Redwoods at Muir Woods aren't as impressive as the Sequoias in California. I gave this a 3 star because the guide asked no less than 4 times for a tip. They recommended places to go in Sausalito that were closed and weren't up-to-date on information.
We were given a Giftory for a wedding present and got about 6p options to pick from. I liked that this one was a smaller group of about 10 people. It left early in the morning avoiding all the crowds. Our tour guide was very informative. Gave us lots of information that we used in the remainder of our trip.
Jo did an excellent job sharing details about the area while also focusing on customer service. Highly recommend.
Our driver, Jo was excellent! She gave interesting insight information about both San Francisco and Sausalito, their history, notable people who were residence of the city as well as information about the history of John Muir and how he what instrumental in preserving Muir Woods.
Be sure to prepare for curvy roads if you are prone to motion sickness. Wonderful tour that I would do again. Muir Woods is exceptional.
Lana, our guide, was AMAZING. This was my best experience in San Fran largely because I lucked out with her as a guide. Not all the guides are like her. If you can request her - do it! The Muir Woods were so beautiful as was Sausalito. This was worth the visit if you enjoy a nice walk through the wilderness, nicely combined with some leisure time along the bay.
Had a great experience and the guide was amazing.
Guide was knowledgeable, kind, and helpful
Triste wS very good and vey kind , Thanks
This was honestly not great. Our driver, Brenden, was having issues with his microphone giving feedback and as a result decided to not give commentary for most of the trip. He turned it off and said he might tell us about things later, which never happened. We also had to make a side trip to Sasalito before the tour officially began to pickup a group. So we went to Sasalito to do pickup, Muir Woods, then back to Sasalito for a rushed 45 min to look around before going back to San Francisco. I had to request we be dropped at the promised spot so that we would not have to figure out how our to get back to our hotel. The sights were great but this was disappointing and basically we just paid for transportation vs getting an actual tour.
Awesome trip! Knowledgeable
This was an amazing visit,on the way stopped at golden gate bridge, then onto Muir Wood, which was a quiet park of amazing tall, wide trees and wonderful track around the park. The driver who was very informative of thing around the areas and about the park and about the area of Sausalito, it was a half a day trip which was plentiful for us.
Beautiful serenity away from the city. Very disability accessible. Wonderfully marked trail. Our guide Oliver was a local and knowledgeable and fun. Sacalito was the icing on the cake.
Johanna was a great guide, you see several city landmarks, before enjoying a lovely walk around Muir Woods. We were dropped it Sausalito to catch the ferry back after some shopping.
Enjoyed my trip to Muir Woods and Sausalito! Jonathan was a great tour guide, shared a lot of great facts and recommendations for the city. The tour was awesome to meet other solo travelers and the small group was a perfect vibe.
Beautiful scenery. Mitch was an excellent tour guide. Do the early morning tour, areas much less crowded and can truly enjoy the beauty of the trees and surrounding areas. Highly recommended!
Knowledgeable guide Excellent Value Beautiful location Highly reccomended Sharon was an amazing guide
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Ideal weather, and our guide Jonathan provided plenty of insights and history about the city and Muir Woods. Would highly recommend to others! One note that others have said: It’s not an exaggeration that the last few miles of the ride into the park is rough if you’re prone to car sickness. LOTS of twists and turns. Everything else was A+.
Our your guide was fantastic! And Johnathon very knowledgeable of the city history as well as Muir Woods.he was professional and personable
Our driver, Jo, was very knowledgeable and shared her information with the group. Your Woods was beautiful and enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, there was so much traffic from your Woods to Sausalito that we only got to spend a very short time in Sausalito. That was disappointing. Also, it would be nice to have a little stepstool into the van. I am only 5 foot two and practically fell when getting out each time. Overall, it was a great experience though.
We enjoyed the tour. Jo our tour guide was a good story teller, very knowledgeable and very accommodative. Enjoyed the trip.
Thoroughly research Sausalito before selecting this excursion. I wish I had- it wasn’t really for me. Everything else was great! the company and especially the tour guide was amazing.
Went with my sister and honestly just paying for them to drive us was worth it! We got to experience Muir Woods, Sausalito, AND a different bridge viewpoint because the one that the company usually stops at was closed.
The guide was ok. I have experienced better. When we arrived to the bus we were told that Muir Woods was closed due to the government shutdown. It would have been nice to get an email about it. And it would have been nice to get refunded if we chose not to go. Very disappointed in not knowing until the very last minute
Great touring experience! Our tour guide Lana was very friendly and informative! Going in the morning allowed us to experience the quiet Muir woods and enjoy a vibrant walk around Sausalito to end the trip.
As soon as we boarded the bus, we found out that we were not going to Muir Woods because of the gov't shutdown. I was a little surprised that we didn't find out sooner so we could possibly cancel.
Wonderful experience. We opted for the early morning tour (7:15AM pickup) of Muir Woods which is definitely the better option. When we arrived to the park around 8:30AM, our guide helped pick up the admission tickets and provided an overview and recommendation on which trail to walk. The park was nice and quiet at this time and allowed us to take in the space at our leisure. We managed to walk through the main trails for the entire hour and half that we were there. The park was busier as we were leaving, so we were very grateful we pretty much had the park to ourselves before the crowds. Sausalito was a beautiful town. Take the time to walk through the town. Whether or not you want to grab a nice meal, an ice cream or just sit down and relax, there's something for everyone! Would definitely go back to both locations on our own time so that we can walk around both places again.
Make sure there’s not a government lockdown because we didn’t even get to go to Muir Woods, went to some regional Park very underwhelming
Good trip. Great guide Sharon. Not enough time neither in Muir woods nor in Sausalito. Would be good at least 2 hours in Muir woods
This is a great trip. The Muir Woods is fantastic! The guide talked about the history of San Francisco and Sausalito. She is really knowledgeable!
Tour of Muir Woods and Sausalito. I’ve been to both before but our guide still brought more to life.
Wonderful experience. Easy to meet the driver and the travel to Muir Woods and Sausalito was picture-worthy! Muir Woods in the morning was the best because for the first 60 mins in the park it was basically just us and then it filled up by about 9am. Amazing pictures. Sausalito was good. More a place to grab something to eat and catch a picture of Bay Bridge.
Very curvy switchback road to Muir Woods. We were hoping to get more information about Muir Woods and Sausalito from the driver. Needed more time in Sausalito. The Redwoods were awesome and very peaceful walk through the woods.
Nice trip! Stopped for short visit at end of Golden Gate Bridge then headed to Muir Woods. Had plenty of time there and also plenty of time at Salsalito. It was nice to have someone do the drive to the woods. It’s very steep and a lot of windy turns.
This was a great half-day tour to take as a solo traveler. I wanted to see Muir Woods but didn’t have a rental car and didn’t want to figure out the bus and shuttle schedules to get there on my own. Lawton picked up our group from a convenient location near Union Square. He talked some history about the area as we drove to Muir Woods - enough to keep us interested but not feeling like we were at a lecture while on vacation. We stopped at Vista Point for some Golden Gate pictures and a bathroom stop. Then we headed to Muir Woods, and within 10 minutes of arriving we were in the park, exploring with maps in hand and friendly advice about where to go within our allotted time. Next, we drove to Sausalito which was an okay stop. Sausalito’s pretty, and we had great weather for walking along the waterfront, but besides that, the only things you can do there in an hour involve just spending more money: shopping, getting a drink or ice cream. None of those things are inherently bad, but I would rather have had more time at Muir Woods. You have the option of ditching the bus ride back to SF in favor of going back via ferry, but that’s not included in the trip price and the ferry wasn’t leaving for another hour after our scheduled departure time. Rather than be tempted to spend more money, I took the bus back. That worked out well because we rode over the Golden Gate one more time and got to see the beginning of a beautiful sunset. Lawton kept us on schedule and offered helpful recs for where to go in SF depending on your interests. Overall, this was a great tour with an easygoing vibe. Highly recommend!
Wear comfortable tennis or hiking shoes with good grip. The ride to Muir Woods was lots of twists and turns that was a little nauseating, but once you are there it smells amazing and it is soooooo beautiful.
Most of our time was spent in Muir Woods, with a short stop in Sausalito. We rode the ferry back to Ferry Marketplace. Would have enjoyed more information about Muir Woods.
Make sure to call to cancel. I cancelled online and assumed I would receive a refund. There was no notice that I would not receive a refund. However, when the refund never showed up on my credit card, I contacted them. They said I was not allowed a credit. Had I known, we would have made the trip work. Really disappointed!! I’ve used them before with great experience.
Great experience. Muir Woods is awesome. Anne was a excellent tour guide. very informative I would highly recommend the trip.
Our tour guide, Lawton gave us a great history lesson on the area and on the beautiful trees and surrounding area. The amount of time was just right, and the option to take the ferry boat back if you wanted more time was great.
Too little time to see both places, especially considering the price. The guide was just okay. We told him another tourist had shushed my baby, but he's a baby and makes noise; he just moved us to another place. It's best to warn people that this is not a family tour or a tour for adults. I wouldn't do it again; I'd go by rental car.
Our tour bus driver was the best! Courteous, diplomatic, knowledgeable, a pleasure to listen to. We felt safe on the road with him. He made it very enjoyable, great communicator.
Great tour and fabulous, knowledgeable guide. Highly recommended! Spectacular scenery. Pickup from hotel.
We went on the morning half-day tour to Muir Woods and Sausalito. We were some of the first people in the park and the quiet was magical. My partner has mobility issues and we were able to borrow a wheelchair from the park office. The amount of time we had was perfect to do the boardwalk trail at a leisurely pace. We chose to extend our stay in Sausalito, and the option to buy a ferry ticket at purchase made it super easy. All in all, our guide gave us plenty of good information about how to get around and optimize our day.
It was a fabulous experience. I highly recommend! We had a super nice time and our guide was amazing!
We had a wonderful trip with Lawton as our driver and guide. He was well informed, and very kind! We highly recommend him as your guide. 5*
