What a great tour & experience. The bikes were good quality & plenty of instruction & helmets provided beforehand. Our guide, Orla was excellent, lots of information about the area covered using a mic & radios with an ear piece. She made sure the group kept together & safely was paramount both for riders & pedestrians on any shared paths. What an experience cycling across the Golden Gate Bridge, so impressive as was visiting Sausalito. Stopped for lunch at The Joinery which was lovely & good value, we got a free drink as part of the tour. The actor finished here & folk could do their own thing following. We opted to bike back & as Orla was cycling back, we were able to accompany her which we really appreciated. It was 3.30pm by the time we got back. All in all a fab experience & day out. Would highly recommend.

Blazing Saddle Golden Gate bike tour is an utter gem. Add to that the brilliance of Marcus as your lead guide and you will have one of the best half days of your travels anywhere in the world (& I have been to 86 countries). We booked to experience the thrill of crossing the GG Bridge, which was awesome but on top you gets some fab highlights either side, including an utter must of you are a Star Wars fan (I won’t spoil the surprise) . All along, Marcus provides fascinating insight and widely travelled a lot more. We had lunch together & the cycle back together.. TOTALLY inspiring & brilliant 3 hr tour with bonus of ride back. Thank you - utterly memorable
The tour was perfect. Great bike great weather and an unbelievable guide in Orla. She balanced the history and current SF life really well and is so proud of her adopted city. She made the trip great fun for the whole family. James
Had a great time , Peter our guide was really knowledgeable and was encouraging questions along the way. He was a great host .
We had a blast. Oscar made it fun and informative with a good pace. He tailored the experience to what our group wanted.
Great leisurely ride over to Sausalito. Orla was super informative as our lead guide. And kudos as well to Dominic as the "caboose" rider!
This tour blends San Francisco history with motorized e-bikes. You launch from a park and ride along the coast and through parks before crossing the Golden Gate Bridge & arriving in Sausalito. Truly breathtaking views and great site seeing! Don’t worry if you having biked in a while or you’re not super fit. The e-bikes do much of the heavy lifting. This was great fun for our family and I definitely recommend checking it out. It was well worth it! One thing to know: the e-bikes time out after a period of inactivity so be sure you know how to turn your bike back on before heading out. It will save you frustration later in the trip!
One of the highlights of my trip was riding my bike across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito with my niece. It was an unforgettable experience. Ryan was brilliant and patient, and our guide and Hannah werrle awesome—both made the ride fun, informative, and memorable. So grateful for an amazing adventure!
Marcus and Ryan were absolutely wonderful! Marcus took us to some great places for photos. We did the tour on the E bike across the Golden Gate to Sausalito. He had a fabulous restaurant picked out overlooking the marina. We did take the ferry back. He is very professional and knowledgeable and will definitely be using this company again!!
We did the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito tour and it was fantastic! Our push bikes were were in really good condition and our guide was super knowledgeable about San Francisco and the surrounding area. We had originally planned to take the ferry back to San Francisco but we’d enjoyed the ride to Sausalito so much, we decided to also ride back 😀
It was a great ebike tour guided by Horla who were extremely knowledgeable and friendly person. Highly recommend!
We did the E-bike tour across the Golden Gate Bridge. Orla our guide, originally from Dublin was amazing felt like our own private tour just myself partner and our guide! We purchased the tour that included the ferry back! Orla made it that enjoyable we chose to ride back the view points she took us to along the way were amazing! Discussed local knowledge and history along the way! She made sure we were safe during the whole trip! The parks we passed through were spectacular! Very knowledgable! Definitely a must do trip and defo recommend asking for Orla, we even met her husband briefly as he passed by with another group. On our stop in Sausalito we orla recommended a lovely restaurant and even handed us a voucher for a free drink. We sat together discussed san fran her life there and how she came to move to such a spectacular city! Before a very white knuckle ride back! The weather can change in an instant! The wind was harsh coming back what was a scary ride over was an absolutely terrifying ride back however totally exhilarating! Any photo stops we wanted we just asked and she’s stop and take photos for us! Defo a must do trip for every body thank you Orla and Blazing saddles! Absolute unforgettable trip !!!! 5 stars just isn’t enough!!
Wonderful Tour! Everyone at Blazing Saddles was professional and accommodating. Our guide, Orla, was friendly and informative. She even got us back across the bridge so we could bike longer in SF. E bikes are the way to go!
What a great experience!! Hadn’t rode a bike for 25 years but the e-bike was great and the shop explained really well before we left how to operate the bike to get the best out of it. Didn’t struggle once and still had full charge when we got to Sausalito. We had Orla as our guide and she was absolutely amazing. Her knowledge of the city was brilliant and took us to the best spots for photos as well as keeping us entertained the whole trip! Brilliant afternoon would highly recommend.
Fantastic experience - Marcus was a fabulous guide, lots of knowledge and stories shared. The ride over the bridge was a great experience We loved it.
The tour was so fun! The e bikes were incredible. Made riding around San Francisco very easy. Mark was our tour guide and he did an excellent job keeping a good pace and sharing fun facts.
Super way to see SF, Sausalito and experience the Golden Gate Bridge by riding across! Our tour guide Ronan was a legend 🤩. We went as a family and had a great experience.
Booked online and found Blazing saddles to be warm, welcoming and knowledge. Very friendly staff and all well priced. Bikes are heavy if you are petite. Took some effort to get up to the bridge. Brilliant experience and it’s a must do. Lunch spot at the Joinery in Sausalito was brilliant. Worth having a ride round that side too. Beautiful spot into the countryside.
This was such a special day on our US travels. We were recommended this tour by a friend and weren't disappointed. The check-in process was straightforward and quality of bikes great. Kudos and thanks to Ronan who was tour guide numero uno and was there right to the end. He took great care. We had teens and they loved it. Highly recommended to anybody considering.
Orla and Marlon were superb guides - Orla was very friendly and knowledgeable and her pride in San Francisco shone through
Friendly reception, decent bikes, great atmosphere, fun, lovely views and very enjoyable biking tour, thank you guide Rohan 👍
Great tour cycling through San Francisco, over the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sausalito. Great guide who was very friendly and knowledgeable and finished with a really nice lunch at the end. Couldn’t fault it!!
Awesome views and really good staff. Especially a big shoutout to Marcus and Ronin for being our awesome tour guides and hooking it up. It is San Francisco so it is a hilly place, and we did not book with the e-bikes. Getting around was tough and the tour guides let us use one of their e-bikes for the harder bit. The experience with this was awesome though, full 10/10
Five star to BZ and their team especially our guides Ronan & Tolya, what fantastic ambassadors for the company. Couldn’t have been better experience and until next time. Saddle up and let’s ride.
What a fabulous experience. We were lucky and small group of 6 including our guide, as it's November a bit cooler for biking. Mark was a real treat, his knowledge was amazing and his interaction with the group made for a great day. I was the only one without an electric bike, well deserved treat afterwards. Thank you Blazing Saddles for making a great memory.
Fantastic tour! Definitely recommend upgrading to the e-bikes - we kept them all day for a total of 40km!
Just completed a fantastic tour with our guide Adam. He was a lovely guy and the tour was the highlight of our trip , especially for our 2 teenagers. The many stops on the tour made it an easy cycle across the bridge. Sausalito is a beautiful town for a lovely lunch along the water before taking the ferry back to San Francisco. It’s a day out not to be missed !
What a nice ride. The start was great, super bicycles. Good quality, great maintained, and smooth ride. The guide was super. He was a real local, knew his stories and the real story of the city
Amazing experience! Biking the bridge was wonderful and I'd recommend it to everyone going to SF. If you're not a strong rider, I do suggest upgrading to the e-bike, as there are a few steep hills on the way. I opted to ride back through the bridge on the way back and the guide graciously accompanied me after lunch at Joinery. The tour makes a few stops along the way at beautiful places, such as the Palace of Fine Arts and Presidio park and you have enough time to take pictures while you hear about SF history. I was also super lucky, as we got to see THREE separate rainbows on the way
We loved the bridge tour. Stevyn was a great guide and took us to all the best photo places. If you’re not used to cycling I recommend the electric bike because there are 3 tough hills to get up. Definitely recommend this tour.
I took the guided tour from San Fran over to Sausilito via the Golden Gate Bridge. The tour was fun, interesting and educational - absolutely worth the time and money.
Amazing tour by guide Mark. Very knowledgeable on all things San Fran and he was fun! Mikey at the store was super friendly and helpful too. Would recommend a tour with this group.
As an East-Coaster this was the best SF experience of the trip. Stevyn (with a y) is as good as they get: Perfect mix of sight-seeing, biking, history and excercise!
Nice bike tour to see and cross the Golden Gate bridge and reach Sausalito. You should consider the fact that either you return back the bikes on your own or you have to pay addicional USD to have someone to bring them back.
Very enjoyable ride, good lunch and a the ferry trip back offers great views of the Harbour and city. Connor, our guide, was very personable and the local knowledge was interesting. Well paced trip, and not overly strenuous.
It was fun riding our bikes over the Golden Gate bridge. I would recommend visitors to San Francisco enjoy a similar experience. The stops along the way were interesting and the lunch was good . I think there were some problems with this trip which make me question whether or not I would recommend it to others. The group was way too large. It says in the description that the maximum number of people in the group is 15 but our group had 30. It was somewhat chaotic , and difficult to ride in such a large group. It was obvious they were having problems at Blazing Saddles and it wasn't clear who was in the group, who was leading the group, where we were going and who was going with us. The other major problem for me was that the leader never explained how crowded the ferry gets and how early you have to lineup. We lined up 45 minutes early and we were shut out of the ferry because there were too many people and we had to stand in a crowded line for the next ferry or we would have missed that one as well. A heads up by the tour leaders would have been extremely helpful as they were the ones that sold us the ferry tickets.. Overall, it was a beautiful day, a memorable experience but the tour was definitely flawed.
Mike and Neave from the company where really knowledgable and helpful.Great cycle route and the ebike was soo good. Made cycling there and back extremely easy. Highly recommend whether you are on your own or as a group or family.
We did the Fisherman’s Wharf Guided Tour to Sausalito the morning after we arrived, a bit jet lagged and perfect thing to do to keep us awake! Really interesting thanks to our guide John, and to Niamh. Highly recommend! Sausalito is just gorgeous!
Mark our guide was great. He knew a lot of details about Presidio and other areas of our tour. He even joined us for lunch at the end of the tour in Sausalito.
Super service! Super guide Conner! Great time! Lovely city of San Francisco! We will certainly come back again and take one of the other tours at blazing saddles.
This was a fabulous tour!! Stevyn was a great host, historian, and overall terrific guide through San Fran, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Sausalito. Thank you for a memorable adventure:)
We booked the 3 hour guided tour with electric bikes. Our tour guide Mark was really knowledgeable about San Francisco and it was really good to make some stops and learn about the city rather than just cycle. He was also really good at accommodating those of us in the group that wanted to go a little faster. Going on the tour (rather than just hiring a bike and cycling yourself) meant that we were shown all the highlights and best spots for photos. It was also great to see different parts of San Fransisco before cycling across across the Golden Gate Bridge. One thing that isn’t obvious when you book is that once your tour finishes, you catch the ferry back with your bike and then you drop back your bike but there is no fixed time for this. So if you didn’t want to return the bike straight away and cycle more on your own, you could. Really great morning cycling!
We did the Golden Gate Bike tour and it was a fun ride made even better by our tour guide Mark. He was a great guy, very personable and had great knowledge of his city. He made the ride so interesting by stopping and showing us various points of interest. He also was very gracious in offering to take whatever pix you wanted. Ask for Mark on your tour! Bikes were well maintained and in good shape. Finally, the ride is about 8 miles with a few modest hills so u should be in fairly good physical shape to do the ride.
Our bike tour with Mark was fanatic. He took us to several spots off the beaten path that were so memorable. Request Mark for your tour!
Going over the bridge was amazing but so was all the information from our tour guide. I felt safe and learned so much in 3 hours. It went by in a flash. Definitely a bucket list item fulfilled! Completely enjoyable!!
This was much more than a cycle ride across the bridge. Local tour guide Mark crafted a great route full of stories and history. For Star Wars fans, it includes a visit to George Lucas’s offices and a peak at his personal collection of film props through the window (see pics). And on top of that there was the actual cross of the bridge. Non-Americans, remember to take cash to tip the guide at the end of the tour in Sausalito, there’s no card option available and you’ll definitely want to tip him. I dropped cash into the office when I dropped my bike back but it’s not the same as tipping in person.
Awesome must do experience while visiting SF! My husband and I and our 2 kids ages 10 and 13 rented their regular bikes and did the bike across the bridge tour to Sausalito and took the ferry back. Our guide, Jeremiah, was very knowledgeable and helpful. The kids said afterwards that this was the best part of our SF trip.
Amazing way to go from San Francisco to Sausalito through the Golden Gate bridge. Our tour guide CJ is the best!!! Funny, attentive, knowledgeable, and gave us good recommendations on things to do in Sausalito. Good photographer as well!!!
Brilliant day out and way to see San Francisco! Our guide- CJ - was fantastic and kept us all entertained. Great electric bikes made it very easy even on the hills!
This was an amazing trip. CJ was a great tour guide with amazing energy and terrific stories about the places we were looking at. The biking was fairly strenuous at times but CJ patiently waited for us to walk our bikes at some spots along the journey. The views were amazing and the whole trip was a great experience.
