We had our tour booked for over two months. The afternoon/evening before I received an email stating that our tour was cancelled, so could we go a different day . I responded that we could not since that was our last day in San Francisco. They rebooked us for a morning tour in Muir Woods with a bike pickup in Sausalito ( opposite of what we first booked). We approved that. After our Muir Woods trip, we were dropped off in a random parking lot. We asked our guide if that was correct as their was no signage for the bikes, she said yes, and quickly left ( she had no clue except that her company told her to drop us there). After walking around the block and not finding any one who could help, I called the adventure tour company- they too were clueless (even though they were the ones who rebooked us). He said he’d call us back. In the meantime, I called Blazing Saddles , the bike company to ask where our bikes were. Come to find out, the booking company contacted Blazing Saddles after hours about the switch- one Blazing Saddles didn’t approve. The bike company did make it right by sending a representative to get us two bikes- she was friendly and helpful. After 45 minutes of being left stranded in a random parking lot, we were in our way. We definitely recommend Blazing Saddles, but would steer clear of their partners- this that offer the Muir Woods trip.

Great experience. Ginge was a great guide
We had a very easy pickup at the shop, with great instructions and bike setup for us. The ride over the bridge and a short time in Sausalito were wonderful.
Great time on the bike, and our guide Eli was an absolute pleasure. Bike was solid, but lesson learned: in San Francisco, you really need to splurge for the e-bike. The hills really are no joke
We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and will be recommending it to everyone we know! Our guide was called Ginger and she was lovely - knowledgeable, friendly and funny. There was also another member of staff rounding us up from behind, so we felt completely safe and that no-one would get left behind. I am not a cyclist so was nervous, but I found the bikes easy to operate and so enjoyable to use. So much so that I may now consider getting one myself! Cycling over the bridge was really memorable but I also really loved stopping at all the places on the way - the Lucasfilm office, the Palace of Fine Arts, the view from Nancy Pelosi Plaza. I opted to leave my bike in Sausalito and catch the ferry back but my husband kept his and biked back over the bridge back to the shop. It ended up being our favourite day in San Francisco. Thank you for a experience!
A fantastic experience and a different way to experience the city. Our tour guide Eli was great and recommended and directed us to the best view of the Golden Gate Bridge from Battery Spencer point, as we kept our bikes for the afternoon
Great tour - Bill kept us safe, added informative commentary and kept us entertained. Some practicalities - arrive 30 mins early to sort you bike out. The hire base is at the end of the Powell and Hyde cable car. Rent an electric bike, as some of the route is steep so the electric bike helps, unless you can do the Tour de France. The pace is easy, lots of stops. Total distance was 13 km in 2 hours
Excellent experience from rental to bike operation and return. It was the best part of our trip and team treated me like a valued customer. Highly recommend.
Bill was an excellent tour guide. He knew a great deal of facts and was very funny
We had a great experience renting e-bikes from Blazing Saddles. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made sure we were comfortable with the bikes before heading out. Riding along the waterfront and across the Golden Gate Bridge was one of the highlights of our San Francisco trip. The e-bikes made the ride enjoyable and manageable, especially on the hills. Being able to drop the bikes off in Sausalito and take the ferry back was incredibly convenient and made for a perfect day. The entire process was smooth from start to finish. Highly recommended! Pro Tip: Dress warm even in the Summer!
First Class operation top to bottom! Very friendly staff. We had a great day riding our bikes across the Golden Gate Bridge!
We biked from the Blazing Saddles location on Hyde Street to Sausalito on regular bikes. There are a couple of longer hills, but nothing a reasonably fit adult of kids couldn't do. I say this because a lot of people were on e-bikes. I was really impressed by how seamless it all was. We were fitted on our bikes, which were checked for tire pressure, did our ride across the bridge, and were met in Sausalito by the ferry guys, and were offered to have our bikes taken by the location on Fisherman's Wharf (we opted to ride them back). There is a part on the road going down into Sausalito, but all of the drivers were great at sharing the road. I have rented bikes in other places with bad brakes or fewer gears, but all of our bikes were in good working condition and therefore safe. We wanted to give out a special shout out to Ronan and Hannah, who went above and beyond.
This was a great experience. Staff was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. This was my first time with an electric bike, and wow, do I love it. The recommendations staff shared regarding logistics were spot on. Trust their recommendations. San Francisco is a great biking city. The Golden Gate Bridge was socked in with fog, but by the time we got to the last third of the bridge the fog opened up. The views were great. Easy ride. Easy return trip on the ferry. I heartily recommend.
An unbelievable experience. They were great with pointing us to awesome spots to check out. The best way to see the area. Definitely ride through the Presidio and up through Sausalito. Also, suggest the GG overlook on the far side of the bridge. Tough ride but views paid off
Getting our bikes was smooth & easy. Great bike, beautiful ride! All the way to the Golden Gate! I would definitely recommend it!
Collected bikes. Watch basic video, given a helmet, map and bike. Assessed riding in the shop before heading out. Cycled from SF across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito and then ferry back. Very very windy on the bridge surprised it was allowed to bike across to be honest and narrow in places. Many cyclists in lycra didn't make allowances for others. Good experience and bucket list experience ticked off. Sausalito a beautiful little place to explore.
We booked our bike hire online several months before we travelled to San Francisco. We chose Blazing Saddles due to the positive reviews we had read and the convenient location of their hire shop. We arrived just after opening time and were quickly seen by the friendly staff. The whole booking in process we super quick and effiejecmt. After watching g a brief video explaining the route to the bridge, we were given our ferry tickets (which we had also booked online) and a voucher for a free beer at a bar in Sausalito and were then passed on to another member of staff to get our helmets which we were shown how to adjust. The next member of staff sorted our bikes for us and after. A brief explanation of how to use the gears and brakes we cycled to the doorway to check the size of the bike and we were in our way. The bikes were very easy to use and comfortable - we opted for the deluxe bikes. And we thoenjoyed our cycle ride across the bridge.
The staff was very helpful and personable. The bikes were in great shape. We would recommend blazing saddles for future bike rentals.
Our experience at Blazing Saddles was amazing! The team showed us a quick video to get us started, made sure everything was perfect with our bikes, and was very nice and helpful the whole time! They answered our question via phone when we got lost once and accepted our return at a different location than drop-off. Location was super close - only 2 hills between location and bridge. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking to bike the bridge.
I wanted to ride across the Golden Gate Bridge and to visit the Vista point to take photographs and then down into Sausalido before taking the ferry back to the city. I used Blazing Saddles website to book a bike as per their recommendation (you get a better price). Arrived the following morning to collect the bike. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Watched video explain route to the bridge and ask for information about getting up to the vista point. Bike was excellent and a dream to ride. Completed my route as intended and got the ferry back (all part of the booking I made). I highly recommend Blazing Saddles and will definitely use them again. Thanks guys.
They are organized, kind, and helpful; the bikes are perhaps not of exceptional quality, they are very heavy. Overall, however, a nice experience.
