I purchased this for Mother's Day weekend with my son and it was an excellent value. We ended up doing the Golden gate bridge cruise and that was amazing! We also did the exploratorium but that day admission was free so I ended up saving one of my three activities. We went to the aquarium and although it was very small it was quick to go through and our favorite part were the touch tanks and shark tunnel. The employees were really nice and we got to touch baby stingrays. I probably would not have paid for this admission on its own but it was a good deal through the go City pass. We ran out of time so I booked another trip to come back and we came back in June within the 30 days and went to the zoo. The zoo was amazing and much bigger than I thought it would be! I will definitely be using go City again!
We purchase the 4 pass explorer pass . I wouldn’t normally purchase these Type of things but I did my research Into the places we wanted to visit and it was worth every penny . We went to San Francisco . This pass worked for us as we could decide when and where we wanted to visit , turn up and show the digital pass on the app . Everywhere was accepting - and it worked like a dream . I would definately do this again
We took our 10 year old granddaughter for 4 days. Great savings to experience all things San Francisco. Bay Cruise, on and off bus, Steinhart aquarium, rainforest and The Fortune Cookie Factory 😍
This was our first trip to the west coast & we wanted to see as much as possible of SF the bus tour was a great way of doing it!!
I signed up to do a biking tour of SF, but it was cancelled due to not enough people. I only found out when I turned up for the tour as no one contacted me beforehand. I ended up renting a bike to cycle by myself - it was not an ideal way to spend the little time I had in the city. It's a shame that the pass didn't make sightseeing the city easier as I had hoped.
GO City passes were a great asset to have on this trip. The cable car passes were a little daunting to get but otherwise was great experience! The bridge to bridge cruise and Hop on Hop Off Bus was a wonderful tour of the city. You can opt to pay $20 for an extra day if you missed some of the sites.
Used go city pass in New York and San Francisco, so way to use and saved money which is great, definitely use again. The future
Very reasonable to pick three activities. The Big Bus was the best and we had 24 hours once activated. We loved that a special discount sale was on when we purchased
All places visited were amazing: CALI ACADEMY OF SCIENCES and the EXPLORATORIUM. Fully recommended with kids all ages .
I was skeptical about purchasing this and using it but everything went great. Sometimes it was confusing where I need to purchase my ticket at each location but that was ok. We went to the SF Zoo, Aquarium and a boat ride.
Really convenient pass, we loved it so much. So easy to use, never had a problem while using it and we really saved some money and didn’t have to wait in lines
DO NOT buy it if you think you cannot be in that city for 60 days straight! DO NOT buy it for SMALL CHILDREN! Check actual ticket cost from tourist attraction directly. Entrance may be free. At the first site it worked in San Francisco. At the second site the museum ticketing person used up a GoCity pass for a child ticket that is for FREE. So I paid to GoCity about $30 for a free ticket. 3rd site: they do not send expiration warning emails at all. (This should be a legal class suit that the lawyers are already working on.) So I called GoCity to ask about expiration, and they said it expired just a week before, and sorry they cannot honor that I spent all that money (ca. $200) for a 3 site entrance for 2 persons. Bottomline: I paid twice as much via GoCity. I will NEVER buy it again. Check free or lower price children tickets before you think of going through GoCity. Bottomline: its taking advantage of your memory loss of expiration and of the bad weather that doesnt allow you to go use it.
Poorly designed with little thought to customer service. Got to six flags, with our 'express' gocity ticket, only to get told we had to get in the huge customer relations queue to validate our ticket (while the actual entrance was empty with staff doing nothing). Get the gocity pass for sure, just prepare to have a lot of your time wasted.
It was an enjoyable day saw a couple different things went to the zoo & the aquarium. The aquarium was probably more fun
Bought the 3 attraction for 5 family members didn't use the last attraction. Didnt realize they expire after 60 days, so we lost out on our last attraction. I will never buy these tickets again.
GoCity pass really good - cost effective way of visiting a number of attractions. In future I would buy direct from GoCity rather than Viator. After first use the GoCity pass disappears for the Viator app - marked as complete -meaning impossible to use Viator app to access further attractions; a problem if you have not printed tickets or downloaded GoCity's app. Viator customer support useless - operator replies via WhatsApp either a chatbot or English not first language as nonsense sentence structure and provide no support other than to refer you to check your original email!
I bought the 4 attraction pass but when I checked out, the date was a day off. I messaged customer service and they claimed I had 2 years to activate the pass and then 60 days to use the four attraction passes. The next morning, I tried to open the pass and the app had the passes in the past & cancelled tab. I ended up having to pay the full price for the tours I had reserved on my credit card
Seeing our grandkids faces at the cool exhibits, making fun memories for our family and really having a great time
We were in San Francisco for 4 days. We bought the 5 attraction package. It was amazing on all the attractions that we went on. We had such a great time. We also saved so much money with this Explorer package.
Well worth the money. We rode the bus around to get a layout of the city. We also took the Alcatraz boat ride. I would recommend starting your day early to get the most from the pass.
Easy to use and accepted without difficulty. You can’t book in advance though and hope that spots are available when you show up. But the value is great.
I previously used GoCity for a trip to NYC in March and was very impressed with it, but not so much this trip to San Francisco. The offerings were not as seamless - for example the bike tour of Golden Gate Bridge did not allow us to reserve but had to show up first come first serve. If someone hadn’t already reserved spots that day they told us we wouldn’t of had a guide! We loved the tour but not the interface between GoCity and the experience. While I would totally recommend someone buying the pass for NYC, I probably wouldn’t recommend it for the San Francisco experience.
Had the 4 choice option, used on hop on, hop off big bus, a one day muni pass, escape from the rock and the bay cruise. No problems at all using the pass, saved a fortune. Definitely recommend.
We used this pass for the Hop on hop of bus, The science museum in Golden Gate Park and also the Exploratrium. The pass worked perfectly, getting us in everywhere easy and stress free.
First time to use this pass and it was so easy to use.. there is a wide variety of attractions to choose from
Had a hard time processing the order. The website claimed something went wrong but was still processed through the bank. So 325.00 was still taken from my account. When I called to cancel the order I was told I may not be refunded terrible experience and very frustrating during vacation.
A lot of the museums and ferry to angle island are only available on certain days of the week. We went to the Science Museum which was good and rented bikes from blazing saddles which was also a good activity. The aquarium was so-so and the hop on hop off bus wasn’t good at all. It took forever to get anywhere on it, the “commentary” was just awful music and when it came to being picked up we ended up waiting an hour. We didn’t use our 5th activity because everything was closed. With the explorer pass you can only go on each activity once.
An easy way to see the sights. Got the two-pack--picked the Hop On Hop Off Bus and the Submarine--both were great. The bus allows you to see a lot of SFO in a day. The sub was by far one of the best of the three that I've been in (Chicago and Charleston being the other two).
Good way to save money if you know what activities you're interested in and you can just book on the day. Many GoCity activities don't let you book in advance. We saved money on activities we went on with pass. I wouldn't pay full price otherwise,as some activities definitely not worth the full price cost. We chose 3 activities although depending on number of days you're in SF you may choose more. Costco has 4 activities but you need to be US or Canadian to purchase from Costco online.
We choose 3 attractions one, we had 3 full day in San Francisco, and it seemed right to us! There are number of activities you can choose from. We chose Big Bus, Aquarium and a cruise (1.5 hour). I was traveling with tweens, but they liked all of them!
Lots of options to choose from, saves you loads on entrance fees, bus trip excellent value, boat trip well worth it to.
Easy access to most of the sites. Uses the pass for aquarium of the bay, exploratorium, California Academy of Science and De Young museum.
We purchased the Explorer Pass with 4 choices online from Costco at a discounted rate and it was well worth it. We didn't need to worry about having extra cash on hand to do the activities we were interested in. We did the Big Bus day tour, the Big Bus night tour, the Bay Cruise, and got a Muni day pass. It saved us a lot of money and a lot of hassles.
Like that you can choose what activity when you are there. ordering online was very easy and convenient. Plenty of options, Muni pass was great, big bus tour was great for getting orientation of city and can go back to places of interest. Great value depends on time you will be there and activities have to all information listed. So if it's raining, you can plan an inside activity....so worked well for us.

Great experience considering that one of the excursions costed about as much as the pass itself. Loved passing through the Golden Gate bridge on the Big Bus tour.

Interesting sights. I was disappointed in the size of the Bay Aquarium. Needs the Bay Aquarium and the Academy of Science Aquarium combine in one place.

Highly recommend the Bridge to Bridge boat tour, excellent! Aquarium also very good. Dungeons of San Fran I could have skipped, but not bad.

The parking around Fisherman's wharf was awful and expensive,25-30 a day. The tours were good.

This was an amazing pass. After initially being given incorrect info re redeeming pass it turned out well. We were time poor but in one day did the bridge to bridge tour , the duck tour , Madam Taussauds and the Dungeons. Captain Milke on duck tour was amazing, highlight of trip. I didn't care for the dungeons but my daughters loved it. There were many other choices too, such great value.

This pass is good if you have enough time to choose the other four things we only got two others in with all the other tours we booked. Well worth the value.

This was the way to go we saw all the top sites with this and saved about 35. Do look and compare with what you want to do and pick the pass tht works for what you want to see, but in general if there is serveral things you are wanting to do this or either of the other 2 passes are worth it.

Great deal! We saved a lot of money getting this pass. Beautiful place to visit. If we ever get to go back we will definitely get this pass.

Our trip was fantastic but the Explorer Pass was terrible if you wanted to use it for the muni/cable cars. We picked up our passes on Saturday at Macy's and specifically asked about using them for public transit. We were told we had to get tickets at the Powell Street cable car ticket office at Powell and Market. Of course we went there and were told they did not recognize the Explorer Pass. We ended up spending more money to buy the day pass. The main reason we got the Exploer Pass was for the cable car/muni access - VERY FRUSTRATING! GET YOUR INFORMATION STRAIGHT, E.P. people and please make sure the venues who issue the passes know how to properly advise customers!

Decide what you want to do before buying the ticket. A lot of the places we weren't interested in. But we found four that we did like the look of. Check as some of the attractions offered have "free" days anyway .
Yes it did save money , but didn't allow front of the queue . So compared to the New York city pass it wasn't quite as good.
We would promote the academy of science , really worth the visit .

The pass is a great deal however we went to the San Fran visitors center on a Saturday and they were closed and we were unable to get the muni pass to use the cable cars which was a disappointment. You should put the hours on the information booklet so people know when you can use that option.

Super choices and fun activities to choose from. Good value.

On Saturday we tried to retrieve the muni pass. The visitor center is the place that we were supposed to redeem it. (there was a secondary place but it states it is only open on Sunday) Once we parked and walked over to the address for the muni pass, we found out the visitor center was closed! The night before we tried to use it at the believe it or not attraction, and the attendant told us we could only use it before 5:45pm!

All in all, we were only able to use 2 of the 4 activities and we were very upset with that. They need better disclosures or ways to get things like Muni passes.

I really wanted to do the Hop on and Off tour, but it was hard to find and did not have enough buses for the demand of people.

We used the explore pass for 4 attractions for San Francisco, and we were satisfied with the choice and the possibility of choosing 4 among the proposed attractions. The available attractions or activities are varied and allow for good savings compared to purchasing regular tickets. Convenient and fast to use at the entrance.
