This Castro tour was wonderful! We got to see and hear lots of facts to honor the history and beauty of this district. We had the fortune to be with just the two of us, so basically we got a private tour! The day was sunny and colorful. And Avon was such a great guide.

I would highly recommend Eric Curry’s Tenderloin and Castro district tours in San Francisco! These tours are a great way to see history where it happened, from the Compton Cafeteria Riot to Harvey Milk’s camera shop. Eric was a wonderful tour guide, leading a special experience for myself, an LGBTQ+ history nerd, along with an informative experience for the rest of my family. Eric is incredibly knowledgeable in local history, made the tour fun for all participants, and had some helpful recommendations for the rest of our time in the city.
I had a great time learning about the history of the Castro District. It’s refreshing having a tour guide who’s lived in the area and knows the history.
This was such a great Experience and Eric our guide was amazing. Highly entertaining, knowledgeable and fun. He really made this Experience all round enlightening. I learnt quite a lot today. This is not just an Experience for LGBTQ+ community - but one for all. Including our teenagers.,
I subscribe to the idea that you can’t truly understand people unless you understand where they come from—their history, challenges, and aspirations. This tour did exactly that. It gave me a much deeper appreciation for the Castro’s history and the LGBTQ+ community that helped shape it. Eric is incredibly knowledgeable, warm and that comes across from the moment you meet him. He’s deeply passionate about his community, his city, and preserving the stories that inspire future generations to build a more equitable world. I would highly recommend any of his tours throughout San Francisco.
Wonderful tour showcasing the historic events and people that made way for a better life for the lgbtq community! Highly recommend!
Very informative and personalised, answered all questions well and never felt pressured for time. Highly recommend
Eric provided exactly what I wanted - an expert guide to LGBTQ+ history in the Castro area. Most importantly, he didn't just share well-worn facts - it was clearly his own research. The 90 minutes flew by, I'd recommend it to anyone interested in the topic.
We really enjoyed the tour - our guide Miguel was absolutely amazing at telling us stories of the brave people who fought for human rights, and the places and businesses that were part of the story in this beautiful part of SF. Thanks Miguel!
Incredible- Eric is such a knowledgeable guide and so personable. We immediately felt valued and despite being a group of 6, you felt like a solo audience. It’s a shame we don’t have any of his other tours booked as I’m sure they would be conducted with the same professionalism, knowledge and compassion as this was.
Miguel was my tour guide and he truly was delightful. He held a nice pace and I was captivated the entire time, so I did not take one moment to even check the time. The historical information was well composed and he was able to answer my questions concisely and what seemed to be great accuracy. I thoroughly enjoy my tour and highly recommend that others register asap. Thanks for a great experience.
Absolutely loved the tour. Our tour guide was wonderful, and very knowledgeable about the history of the Castro District. My partner and I absolutely learned so much about the district and some tidbits of San Francisco LGBTQ history.
The tour with Eric was an awesome experience. Eric is extremely knowledgeable and very passionate. He brought the history of Castro to life and the stories he shared with us will stay with me.
This experience was of exceptional quality and provided a chance to learn many things regarding the Castro. Eric's knowledge and style of delivery is off the charts! If you get the chance don't hesitate to book with him.
Great tour! Very knowledgeable guide and pleasant tour. It covers a lot of history facts and the most important corners of the neighborhood. I loved to learn about gay rights history from a gay San Franciscan
