Alcatraz Inside Tour With Round Trip Ferry & Audio App Packages

We collected the tickets without a problem, as stated 2 hours before but it was annoying that this had to be done no where near where we got the ferry. Got there for stated time, queued and was put on the earlier ferry which was great. Disappointed that when you arrive there is only a very short talk before having a long, up hill walk to collect and start the audio guide. Also the dining hall is closed off so you can't see anything. Didn't feel we got the complete experience. Only one of the two visitor toilet blocks were working (one closed). Very long queue with no shade to get the return ferry.

People were cutting in line on the way back was sort of frustrating attendant wasn't doing anything about it

You sent me miles across San Francisco to collect tickets when there was a place around the corner from the hotel!!! No information provided by trip advisor about the ticket vender to look up!! Trip to Alcatraz was amazing!! Information by trip advisor poor

The 3rd party texted us our information so that we didn’t have to stop at their location 2 hrs before the activity to redeem the voucher which was great. No problems at all with showing the texted information to get our tickets. Thankfully we were able to get on the bay cruise early and still do the Alcatraz activity as we were only in the city for the day.

We enjoyed the audio tour very much. I have a hard time walking and there were some people with kids that thought they had to ride the only tram so I just walked up the ramp and stopped 3 times to rest other than that we really did enjoy the tour

Fun boat ride and informative island tour. Well organised with tourist options on the island. Immerse fully in the history, or stroll round at your leisure. Audio tour was worth doing for the stories.

Last minute tickets great except for having to pick up physical tickets from address 2 hrs before trip in central SF which not at all close to the harbour. This wasn’t clear at purchase information and as we were not staying in SF was very inconvenient. Should really be able to have tickets emailed/ messaged. Highly recommend Alcatraz itself which was awesome!

Great experience. We enjoyed the Alcatraz tour. This operator saved our vacation because are previous reservation was canceled . The views on the ferry ride are amazing and the audio was so interesting. Definitely something everyone should do while visiting San Francisco.

This company does not sell tickets. They sell vouchers which you use to then get you tickets. The pick up location guy is very nice and informative. The pick up location is 15 car ride from the boat pier. The pick location had a lot of homeless / drug users nearby. Not good for kids to see. .

Not sure what to say here. The actual Alcatraz tour was good. You sometimes have to wait a bit for a boat back so allocate time. We then did the boat tour after around the bay for an hour which was also good. Difficult to hear the commentary on the boat but great to go under the Golden Gate Bridge. My problem here was that we booked a 1:05 pm Alcatraz boat tour. Even though we got online tickets you DO have to turn up to the address on Post Street to get the ‘actual tickets’. They don’t make this clear! Also when the guy gave me by boat ticket it said 1:35pm. I mentioned this - he said I’d be on the 1:05 boat. He lied! We could only board the 1:35pm and took an expensive Uber to the pier to accommodate the earlier time. We didn’t get what we booked. At the pier they won’t make changes since we booked through a ‘third party - Trip Advisor’ so you were stuck. We had to rearrange our evening plans. I’ve booked with Trip Advisor all over the world but this one left a sour taste since the tickets not explained well and they changed but confirmed tour time.

Alcatraz Tours and Blue and Gold Fleet were quality operators. Our Alcatraz tour experience exceeded expectations and our nay cruise to the Golden Gate Bridge was so much fun. Alcatraz Bikes and Tours could have provided better instructions and pre-tour instructions. Their directions were not clear and were difficult to follow. My family and I almost missed our boat to Alcatraz as a result.

Office is situated in the part of the parking. Office should work till 18 as stated in google. We came at 17:20. Office was closed. We called on the phone. Manager told us that he is business owner and works as much as he wants. We should come next day. After 5 minites he called back and told that he even can cancel the reservation. After 1h he canceled. Never seen such service before

It was a little odd that we had to go to a different location to pick up a QR code ticket to then go to the pier. That process could be improved, but overall the visit to Alcatraz was great! Nice ferry ride and interesting education.

The Audio tour was worthwhile walking through the prison and being able to catch the boat ride back at your leisure was a nice option.

It was a very good experience It's like watching a history channel documentary about Alcatraz It was very intresting and we had a hard time finding tickets the tour company we booked the first time they cancel but we find the tickets with this tour company thank you for making our vacation great

We dressed warmly even thought it was July. We were able to remove layers by lunch time when we got back to shore. We skipped the audio, so we could enjoy the shared experience.

ticket at parks were 47$ and i was charged nearly 90$. this should be illegal to buy the bulk tickets and charge twice its worth.

You will be zig zagging up a large hill. The guided audio is much better. Interesting to see how it has changed in 20 years Confusing for Viator to issue vouchers rather than electronic tickets

Alcatraz was a very good trip well run and interesting

Pickup was easy. The man we picked up the tickets from was super friendly and knowledgeable. Great bang for your buck. Did the bay cruise 2 hours before Alcatraz. It was great! Alcatraz is absolutely incredible.

Easy to book, great communication, easy to get tickets, left right on time, great tour, loved the audio tour, lots of ferries leaving the leaving to go back, awesome experience.

Whilst the tour was ok, getting a text to go and collect a voucher two hours before, not so good. We found the “office” but it was a lock up attached to a garage and no one in sight. There was no contact number so had to use the one on the confirmation- that call cost me £21.00. They sent my son the QR code and we were able to do the trip. Also one of our party had to cancel a couple of days before. Viator said we could cancel up to 24hrs before the trip but the operator said no refunds. Not sure I would Viator again, better to go directly to the operator.

Totally excellent. Very interesting. Both the prison and also the Indian exhibition. Very informative. Loved to hear about the actual prisoners.

We bought these tickets because all others to Alcatraz were sold out and we wanted to ensure we get to see it before leaving San Fran so this was a good option for us. We did not make use of the bikes because I'm pregnant, but if I weren't this would be such a nice day to spend your time out in the city. It was easy to get ahold of the tickets, I called them and everything was sorted within minutes. Very nice, helpful staff. Thank you.

Don’t normally do audio tours but this one was great! The boat ride over and back was fast and enjoyable!

The access to the ferry tour with pre-booked tickets in San Fran was okay but didn’t come with instant QR code tickets to download to our phones which created a bit of an issue. The company did ring us in the end to give access on email. A bit of a hassle for overseas travellers with data only phone plans. The trip was great there and back with fantastic views. The audio tour is brilliant but it was a real pity that so much of Alcatraz is not accessible or in need of repair. It could be so much better if it was cleaned up and maintained for all the visitors to really appreciate the history.

Fun trip to Alcatraz . Everything went smoothly and I learned so much . The views were amazing too. The tour operator gave us some very helpful tips for our visit too.

Tour operator was excellent. We had a glitch on our reservation and he went above and beyond fixing it. Viator simply said they were sorry and could not assist.

Alcatraz was terrific. We were a little concerned we wouldnt make the ferry in time and they said no problem that they would honor our tickets on the next ferry trip. We also upgraded to the E bikes for the day and had an outstanding time going over the Golden Gate Bridge, and into Sausalito for a wonderful meal at Soma and returned our bikes about 5 o’clock in the afternoon.

We arrive as requested, got in line and we’re on the first ferry to The Rock. It was easy, fun and a self-guided tour. I went with my daughter and two 10 year olds. We all had a great time, learned a lot, took tons of pictures and spent close to 3 hours on the island.

One of the best Tours I have ever experienced.. The boat ride was fun. The view was incredible.. the audio tour and the guided tour put everything into perspective being able to set foot in the cells and see how the actual prisoners lived was eye-opening. I found the tour to be informative and interesting. The views from the ferry and island were amazing too.

Such a great tour. The audio tour was pretty cool. You get to hear from the prisoners view and see visually what life was like in the cells.The views from the island were also amazing. This is a must do attraction while visiting San Francisco.

The trip to Alcatraz was great! Very informative. Easy to navigate, though there was a significant amount of walking up and down hills that may be difficult for someone with mobility issues. The Bay Cruz was fine. There was plenty of room on the vessel to sit inside or out. We had great views of the Golden Gate Bridge and got some history. That being said, you need to know that this voucher is for a 3rd party company that is booking 2 separate tours for you. Both of them legit— however takes some navigation. Make sure you call the number listed, otherwise you’ll have to go pick up your tickets at an off site location. Customer service was actually very good. The gentleman I worked with answered the phone every time I called, was polite, and was able to simplify our experience by sending me our vouchers ahead of time. In my previous experience, the Viator voucher has been my ticket. This is not the case for this experience.

Jennifer with the tours was amazing in helping with getting our tickets to us before the tour and explaining the process enjoyed both tours was an amazing experience for me and my husband! Would do definitely do it again and highly recommend it for anyone.
