It was so much fun! Equipment was clean, staff was very friendly and we were given all the information for a great tour. The carts have a gps which tells you where to go as well as a fact sharing sentence or two at each point of interest. Would definitely do this again.

The Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina District of San Francisco, California, is a monumental structure originally constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition in order to exhibit works of art presented there. One of only a few surviving structures from the Exposition, it is still situated on its original site. In addition to hosting art exhibitions, it remains a popular attraction for tourists and locals.
Certainly the most-photographed bridge in the world, the Golden Gate Bridge is synonymous with San Francisco. Drive up to the viewing area, or the foot of the bridge at Fort Point, to take pictures. You can take even better pictures at Baker Beach, a few minutes drive past the bridge!
Nothing beats zooming down Lombard Street, San Francisco's "Crookedest Street" in your GoCar at the end of your tour. This is a great way to experience one of San Francisco's most iconic streets.
Drive through San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf, passing the bustling Crab Shacks, Bakeries and Curio Shops on your way to Golden Gate Bridge. Don't forget to wave to the other visitors!
Some of the most beautiful views of San Francisco Bay are in the Presidio, a decommissioned military base that boasts beautiful architecture, a War Memorial, the Disney Museum and even a bowling alley! This area is just a 15 minute drive from Fisherman's Wharf, but feels like another world!
At the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point is both an excellent photo spot for the bridge and a fascinating monument to Gold Rush -era San Francisco.
Crissy Field is where San Franciscan's exercise and play. Wave to runners, soccer players and dog walkers as you zoom past beautiful views of the Bay on your way to the Golden Gate Bridge.
San Francisco’s Chinatown is one of the city's most vibrant and culturally rich neighborhoods — and the oldest in North America. It's a fascinating blend of history, traditional Chinese architecture, authentic cuisine, and unique shops. Here's a guide to the best things to see and do in Chinatown.

Walked up to store when we saw the buggies. They were busy but had available cars for rent. We had 3 couples and drove around to Golden Gate Bridge then over to Lombard street. Views were great and cars were a blast well worth 125.00 after all taxes and fees.
It's a fun way to get a view of the city up close. Unfortunately, the automated tour guide was not accurate in terms of guiding us. We went through the Presidio and near the Golden Gate but on our way back we were trying to go down Lombard Street and the automated system switched us to a different route and we ended up getting a little lost. The staff was helpful with check in and scheduling.
The cars were so much fun however do your research before. We booked through the go city pass and it said we could take the cars over the Golden Gate Bridge. When we checked in we were told we could NOT take the cars over the bridge that we would have to rent one of the larger cars that were not available in the pass. We were very disappointed with that. Secondly, we were on the one hour gps guided tour and had to follow the full directions in order to find our way back to the shop but with having to sit in traffic for quite a while, we were not able to stop at all to take pictures and we were still 15 minutes late returning causing us to be charged with the overage fee.
First rate from booking to handing the cart back. Very safety conscious, great customer service and the route taken was a fantastic way to see San Fran. Great fun, wish we’d booked longer.
A much fun time seeing san Fran up close and personal - highly recommend this for something different you’ll really enjoy - loved seeing the Golden Gate Bridge but do pick a good weather day!
nice overview of the bridge and chinatown and crookedest street
What a fun time! We had a full day so only did one hour. Wish we had had time for 2 hours but honestly we finished feeling like it was totally worth it for even an hour. So happy we had time to do Lombard Street! That was the highlight honestly. But we laughed so hard the whole time. And everyone was taking pictures of us which was hysterical
It is something to definitely do when you have the time while in san Francisco. We did 3 hours and it was just the right amount of time without stopping on side trips therefore I would recommend a little longer, like 4 hours
This was such a fun experience but we did have issues. Due to traffic our one hour tour was closer to two hours so if you really want an hour I would suggest finding a less busy day. We were told we could park anytime we wanted for photos but, again, because of the traffic we didn’t feel like we could find anyplace to park and we just didn’t have time. Given all that I still recommend this tour. We saw some things we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. For example, we drove by the Palace of Fine Arts and were in awe! We wanted to spend more time there so we changed our plans for the next day to accommodate that. We had an absolutely fantastic time in the Go Cars!
We did the 1hr GPS guided tour in San Francisco and it was AWESOME!!!! If we would have had more time that day we would have stayed on for the 2hr tour but we had to leave for the airport. We would definitely recommend this as a great way to see the top tourist spots.
The vehicle was a lot of fun to drive and got loads of people stopping to photo or video us on our trip. The audio tour and guide is really useful, especially if you don't know San Francisco very well. The 1 hour tour was enough for us, given the day was overcast with very low cloud, so even the Golden Gate Bridge (up close) wasn't visible. But we got to see loads of other great places and enjoyed coming down Lombard Street (the curvy street often used on films) in our bright yellow vehicle.
Me and my guy had the best time ever!!! We saw so many smiling 😃 faces. I drove and he smiled at the people walking by. So glad we and happy we saw the city like we did
These little go cars are so much fun!!!!!!!! Easy to drive! My daughter (21) just got her drivers license and it is a great way for her to learn how to deal with traffic, people, inpatient drivers etc. We rented 2 days in a row. 3 hrs is a wonderful amount of time to run around San Francisco.
Checking in was annoying but the experience was fun! We only did an hour but should’ve done more!! We went to the Golden Gate Bridge and didn’t have enough time to hit up china town too.
So much fun. A lot of sight seeing. Golden Bridge was amazing. We were able to take a lot of pictures. Thank you Go Cars for a fun activity.
So much fun. Navigation gives you turn by turn instructions along with historical information as you’re passing through your route. Can’t wait to come back and do the two hour route.
Super fun way to see so many sites in San Francisco! Easy to get the hang of driving and then enjoy a super scenic tour with a voice guided GPS and explanation of all the cool sites you’re passing by. Highly recommend.
What an incredibly fun and exciting way to explore the city! The entire experience was truly enjoyable, and I loved getting to see so many amazing sights along the way. The staff went above and beyond to make the journey even more special—they were not only friendly and welcoming but also extremely knowledgeable and always ready to assist with any questions or needs. Their enthusiasm and helpful attitude made the experience even more memorable. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fantastic way to see the city!
This was a fun experience to have explore San Fransisco. We had a great time and I would recommend it to anyone. Easy to drive, GPS, easy step by step directions, learn interesting facts while you drive, and friendly workers.
Great tour! We saw a lot of the city is such a short time! Being a Monday in October, it wasn’t busy. We were able to keep the car for a little extra and take the longer tour, for only a little extra. The guy that checked us in and out was very helpful. Definitely would recommend this to others.
So much fun! An awesome way to see the San Fran points of interest. The cart was easy to drive. And the roads aren’t that busy, making it really simple to get around. The guided tour was informative without being annoying. Staff were friendly and helpful at collection, safety briefing and return. 10 out of 10 recommend.
We were greeted in an exception way upon arrival. The person behind the counter offered to charge my dead phone while we waited and was very polite. I took my 13yr old with me to tour the city. We saw plenty of amazing sights (some twice) and great people watching. We ended up turned around twice! We were behind schedule and I was panicking. I called customer service several times and they were very friendly, calm and knowledgeable about how to help navigate us back to the shop. We arrived very late (& frazzled and cold), the staff did not miss a beat welcoming us back warmly and sincerely. It made a huge difference on what I thought was turning out to be a disaster. The transaction was settled and we left just as happy as we were when we walked in. My kid told me the Go Car Tour was his favorite part of the trip! Thanks San Fran Beach St. Team!
Fun experience going through Fisherman’s warf area and China town. People take pictures of you like you’re a celebrity. You get good camera shots as you sit low to the ground. Only bad part was we lost GOS service because of the tall towers and when it came back on the navigation didn’t k ow where we were at yet. Told us to make a left which you couldn’t because it was a one way. Had to pull over and get us back on the guided tour which was a little scary. The navigation picked right back up when we got back on the course. Make sure you keep the paper map they give you and your phone is charged if you need assistance. You can stop and take pictures or walk around and take pics. The carts were all pretty beat up. We didn’t have any issues with the cart itself. Fun time, would do it again. Uncomfortable after an hour so either park and walk around or take a short tour.
Amazing experience - though scary on the US roads at times.! Well recommended Safety video before you head off. The car is set with GPS and takes you on a choice of routes that last 1 hour
BEST FUN I'VE HAD IN A WHILE. NICE FRIENDLY HOSEY. GOOD GUY HELPED. AND GAVE ME A LONGER DRIVE TIME. FUN!!! FUN!!! FUN!!! I WILL BE BACK!!!😆🙂🙂🙂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Very easy to drive, the built-in GPS is very helpful, plus you get to hear all the history,we didn't get lost. Can't wait to do it again
It was really fun!! Got to see a lot of cool places and nice buildings!!! Honestly tho, I don't think an hour is enough so you'd probably need a day pass
The route we took had the most beautiful views I have ever seen. Such fun-so many people waved at us and looked at us like WOW!! One of the most enjoyable things I have done.
We just want to experience go car. So we took the 1-hour tour. Love it. It’s best to take 2 or more tour for more time. But, we glad to experience it even for just a little bit. We love our pics at the Golden Gate Bridge with our go cars and the video we took down the crookedest street on Lombard St.
So much fun! I would definitely recommend this tour. Love the navigation and the freedom to explore what you want and for how long you want.
These where great had an hour to drive round u follow a route and you can have them for different lengths of time gps fitted so you don’t get lost waiver need to be filled in and a safely video to watch self guided tour fantastic would recommend
Super fun. I only ordered for 1hr which was not enough time, especially if you plan on getting off at a few points of interest. I wish the staff would have offered an option to add time on. Also if you are tall like 6ft you are going to have trouble fitting in the car, there is not much leg room. Other than that it was easy and fun.
Had to get a refund because my trip was in the system at 9am and they cancelled it. I schedule it for 1:30pm and they said they will need to hold $500 until we finished or pay $150 for Insurance. David helped me get a refund for the confusion.
We did the 1 hr tour, we didn't stop for photos at any point and yet we didn't arrive in a hr, the GPS marks lap where you can't, and if you go out of the way it doesn't tell you how to return, in general there's parent experience but they're not so comfortable to handle them long
It was a really fun experience. The cars have a tablet that works as a gps and also as an audio guide that narrates the touristic points that one passes along the way. A very special way to get to know the city at our own pace and without being very expensive. We found the best experiences on the trip to San Francisco and highly recommended!!
After a short and detailed briefing we were also able to start and explored the city. There are different tours. We really wanted to go down Lombard Street. And before we took a normal rental car we found the vehicle quite great.
