1.5-hour San Francisco Bay Sailing Tour

Such a nice sail boat cruise on the bay near the Golden Gate Bridge and all the way around Alcatraz with the skyline of the city in the background. Very relaxing.

It was such a beautiful sailboat ride. We went with our kids. The boat crew was so kind to wait for my husband who was running late.

My husband and I were on the 90-minute sailing in the afternoon on San Francisco Bay. We greatly enjoyed it. We were the only 2 guests, so it was a "private sailing." The captain and first mate were very nice. Most importantly, we actually sailed. We have been on other supposed sailing trip with other companies where the captain used the motor all the time or most of the time. On this trip, we actually sailed and it was great! We are very glad that we made this booking and highly recommend it.

We enjoyed this so much. My only critique is the seating is not what I expected but we made it work. Our group couldn’t sit together so we couldn’t get a great photo of everyone together. So advice to future sailors is to be first in line. The captain and first mate were great and made us feel safe.

Great boat, fabulous cruise. Caleb and Jared are real pros who know how to sail and keep people entertained and engaged. It's a 41 foot boat that is intimate and gorgeous, not a big boat where you'll be a face in the crowd. Loved every minute.

It was a hot windless day so our boat did not sail anywhere. We bobbed in the waves in the middle of the bay for an hour. The sun was shining,it was peaceful and birds were all around us. The crew were friendly. But we did not sail. No one’s fault but very disappointing. Don’t go when the wind is not blowing. I think it would have been better to cancel the trip than to go and just sit there.

We had an amazing time celebrating my birthday with this company. I got a number of quotes and went with this option as the best value - 90 minutes and two drinks included. The staff were relaxed, friendly, and super helpful. Booking was quick and simple, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Departed right on schedule. Very laid back tour along the waterfront and around Alcatraz. Very relaxing. Would do this again.

Excellent sailing excursion with knowledgeable captain. Novices will feel comfortable on a very sturdy boat and experienced sailors will appreciate sailing in an iconic setting.

The tour was exactly what was presented on the website. We did not expect a tour guide but we did get some very informative sailors. The captain and first mate were exceptional and gave a wonderful trip around the bay. Two things they couldn’t control were the low winds and flies:-)

Having a perfect weather day made this experience amazing. The information from one of the crew was interesting, informative but not too much. Quick with getting everyone their drinks to enjoy. I suppose for SFO it’s a priced right. But before you book you might want to check weather conditions to get the most out of the day, as there is no protection if it rains . We booked directly with company the day before

It was a gorgeous, sunny day so my friend & I decided on a whim to join the 12:30pm boat. The person who sold us the tickets & explained the tours at the counter near the dock was lovely, they totally sold us. We missed the part about no commentary though, so that was a little disappointing. But so it goes, was nice to chat with my friend and drink our free two drinks (i.e. white claw, water, etc). Captain and the first mate were friendly enough, it was very casual which was okay just make sure to have that expectation. Next time would probably try for a boat with commentary; but at the end of the day, this was nice & relaxing & overall a positive experience. Of course, bring your down coat! I was very happy to have mine plus a hood. We were prepared; although they did say some blankets were available. We did not need those.

Everything about this trip was fantastic. The way the captain and first make greeted us and gave this information. Everything was on time and we just simply loved it.

Bring a jacket as it gets a little cool and windy on the water. Overall had a nice relaxing time on the water.

Bring a jacket! But if you forget they have blankets on board and a few loaners. It gets cold on the bay. Captain and crew were very laid back and friendly. Scenery along the route was spectacular with lots of photo ops. Very relaxing afternoon and fun activity for a decent price point. Well worth it!

It was a wonderful sail boat trip and the captain and first mate were great and knew so much about the history of the area.

Even though it was a bit chilly it was well worth going. The captain and first mate were very accommodating. I love being on the water so for me it was very relaxing. I would definitely do it again if I were in the area.

Lovely 90 mins spent in the sunshine on the Bay. Only 6 pax, which was great as we could move around the boat freely. The crew was very knowledgeable about the area and gave detailed answers to questions, and also provided a lot of historical facts about the city and other boats in the area.

Just ok. Capt & staff didn’t seem too interested in the passengers. A off duty deck hand brought his friends, one of whom was clearly over served, for free while I paid $100. Probably should have been more discreet about that. The included 2 free alcohol drinks were small glasses in dixie cups. Would take another boat next time.

We were there at 15 minutes prior to departure as instructed and as the skipper readied the vessel, not a single acknowledgement from him saying, "welcome, we'll be with you shortly," or anything similar. I believe I actually asked him if he was with our tour. Nearly the first thing we were told was that, "this is not a guided tour, if you have any questions, just ask." I guess it's not advertised as a guided tour, but unless you are sitting within 3 feet of the captain and skipper, you can't hear anything. You do not go anywhere near the Golden Gate Bridge, just so you know going into it. That was disappointing. I don't remember anyone pointing out Angel Island, either. Alcatraz, yes. The "waterside city of Sausalito" nope. Pointing 'over there' yes, but I was expecting to get closer to actually see the city and their waterfront. I would not book this again, nor would I recommend it to others. I normally love the tours I book so this was extremely disappointing and a waste of $300.00 for me, my hubs and our adult son. :(

We had a great time. The crew were very knowledgeable and I learned a lot about sailing. Saw some views of SF I never saw before!

It was a fun and different experience. Adrian (the first mate) was attentive with drinks. We got two free drinks each. When we asked him questions he was able to answer. I think as it was quite expensive they should have given us more knowledge about the places we could see as we sailed. They only gave us information if we asked. All in all it was enjoyable.

It was just fun to sail bay area with beautiful views. Circling Alcatraz and using the wind only to move across the water, wonderful.

We were disappointed in the 90minute sailing tour. We were promised views from ‘underneath the Golden Gate Bridge’ but it was a mere spec in the distance. We did not sail anywhere near Saulsilito or Angel Island. Captain Micheal did not give a single word of commentary about anything and the advertised free drinks were cans in foam cup holders. We sailed closely around Alcatraz so managed to get some photos of that but all the other places we expected to see were somewhere far in the distance - no idea where as they weren’t pointed out. The boat was shabby and needs painting/varnishing and I would not recommend this tour.

Just a good over all experience other then the 4 women next to us that chatted the whole time I could barley hear the waves hitting the boat. Other than that ot was great. He had the perfect sailing weather it truly was an amazing experience

I chose this experience because it seemed safe enough for me to enjoy and adventurous enough for my husband and son to love. It was lovely for us all. It's 90 minutes of quiet and beauty. The captain & first mate do not talk/narrate. They just sail well & keep an eye on passengers to ensure all have a nice, safe time. We enjoyed the 2 drinks and the lovely views. The family next to us had their sweet 3 year old bundled up in blankets provided. Our 4:15 sail was un-crowded and very comfortable. Do layer up! It's chilly out there. :)

My wife and I made it a habit of going for our wedding anniversary. So this was our 3rd time going. Best sailing boat experience anyone would find in the bay.

We had an excellent time. Service was awesome and the ride was perfect! Would highly recommended. Waves were choppy but the boat was smooth!

There was a very stiff wind the time we went out and we couldn’t go as far as the Golden Gate Bridge, but we got to go past Alcatraz and then all the way around it and then back to the Baybridge and then all along the city skyline from there. It was a fun and unique experience being on a sailing ship where the motor was used only it’s for the initial part to get out of the harbor. The open bay was sailing and very exciting. The first mate was prompt with bringing us our drinks and even offering seconds.

Wouldn’t waste my money on it again. Didn’t even get close to the Golden Gate Bridge. It was extremely foggy which I get but the only thing the captain said the WHOLE time was, “in my 40 something years I’ve done this only one time has July 4th been clear with no clouds.” That’s it. He didn’t talk to us about what we were seeing, it was quiet the whole time. Wasn’t impressed for $100 price tag. Was told they were giving us a deal because it was a pretty empty charter, only to get on the boat and it was so full we had to sit up front with a bar under our legs that was quite uncomfortable for an hours and a half. I would definitely take the one that looked more like a ferry than the sailboat tour again.

Great experience on a beautiful day. Sailing a much better experience than a large, powered boat as it was quieter and more interesting. Knowledgeable and friendly crew. Beverages only ok, but that's not the point of the cruise.

Wonderful scenic boat ride around Alcatraz and city scape of SF!! Exceptional crew as well, they were very kind and accommodating!!! I hope to take a longer boat ride next time!
