My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Jay during a recent trip to SF. The location is great - right near Embarcadero / the Financial District. Would definitely recommend - The rooms were beautiful, service was lovely, and the Third Floor restaurant/outdoor lounge was sooo fun to hang out in, especially for their happy hour! Our only complaints were that the rooms only had two bath towels, which were pretty small and thin (although room service was super fast in bringing us more when we requested them) and that there was a decent amount of noise transfer between rooms (though that’s not uncommon at many hotels). Would definitely recommend!

Had a stay at one of the best if not THE BEST hotel stays ive had. The location is great, very close to North Beach and located close to major transit stops. The hotel staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. I should up much earlier than check, but it was not problem, they got me in a room early. They also signed me up for a bonvoy membership extremely quickly. The room itself was beautiful. It was EXTREMELY spacious with a very comfortable couch. The room was loaded that definitely saved us a stop at a connivence store. Everything was so clean, the bed was extremely comfortable. The room felt very chic, and fresh, unlike many others in the city. I cannot rave about this room and the Luxurious feel it gave. The staff was amazing going the extra mile, room was extremely spacious and luxurious. Did not want to leave.
Beautiful hotel in great location. Rooms are minimalist and modern, but clean and comfortable at the same time. I was upgraded at check in (thank you!) and enjoyed 3 nights at the Jay in town for work. Check in desk is on the 3rd floor and staff were overwhelmingly kind and professional. Views were immaculate and room was clean and quiet. Only downside is no free coffee in lobby.
We have stayed here twice, both times the experience has been really good. Few things, that made our experience great - both times we booked the suite, which is quiet roomy and spreadout. Unlike the new york hotel rooms where you are struggling to figure out where to walk once you open your suitcases. 2nd was the car, the valet parking is pretty convenient, they charge about $90 for a day but overnight parking in Sf could be easily $50-60, so an additional $30 for the comfort of someone bringing it to you is not bad. The complimentary breakfast is good, your basic American/ continental stuff but if you wish for something interesting there is a Yemeni place right door, which has much better coffee and milk cakes. If you are staying here, I would suggest you doordash food and not rely on the room service. Its okay but not even close to what Sf restaurants have to offer. The staff is helpful and they try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. When we went with our 5 month old, they even offered to give us a crib for the baby. ( we carried our own portable crib, but they didn't know that! )
We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! The architecture and interior design are stunning, and our room was incredibly comfortable, especially the bed and pillows. The entire staff provided exceptional hospitality. Housekeeping was highly attentive, and when we had a minor issue with our TV, an engineer arrived instantly to resolve it. The location is perfect—an easy, seamless walk to the Ferry Building. The food was also fantastic. This is officially our new favorite hotel in San Francisco!
