This was a clean and very classy hotel for an extremely reasonable price. We booked a package through Expedia and received a fantastic deal. The staff was friendly and helpful, and allowed us to store our luggage while we explored the city on our last day before our red eye. They also had the most thorough and efficient cleaning staff who kept our room SPOTLESS and fresh everyday. Best of all, the elevator system was the quickest system I’ve ever used. The location is good with historic restaurants, Union Square, and Chinatown in walking distance. Surprisingly, it lacked a commercial drug store so we had to depend on bodegas for conveniences. It was nice to help out independent shop owners, though. Keep in mind that you’re staying in downtown San Francisco which isn’t the most clean and appealing part of the city. It doesn’t smell great and sadly, there are a lot of unhoused people. That didn’t bother us, but if you’re not used to that environment or have a problem with it, stay somewhere else. As for the hotel itself, the pillows were terribly uncomfortable. I don’t know why hotels insist on providing feather pillows that don’t provide support. The bathroom was pristine, but outdated, and this is very minor, but a pen and paper should be provided. Overall, would stay again!

I stayed at Parc 55 for a solo trip to San Francisco for a long weekend. It was my first time in San Francisco and I was alone so I was pretty nervous, but the Parc 55 team made me feel at ease. I ended up checking in later than expected, but it was no problem. Booking a reservation and paying was easy with no issues. The kind person who assisted me at the front desk even upgraded me for free to a corner room suite. The room seemed a bit outdated, but it was clean and huge! I loved how there were windows surrounding the entire room so I could get a good view of the city. I like to keep my Do Not Disturb sign up for the duration of my hotel stays, so when I needed more clean towels early one morning, I called Housekeeping and they immediately sent someone up with fresh ones. The hotel also felt very safe. There was always staff present in the lobby and desk. I didn't get to try the food at the hotel restaurant, but I enjoyed the different infused waters they had available every day! The location was also incredible, with a quick walk to the BART, Union Square, Moscone Center, and tons of restaurants. I would stay here again on my next visit to SF!
Stayed at Hilton Parc 55 in San Francisco. Was excited because I have always had a great experience at any Hilton I've ever stayed. This was the absolute worst hotel experience I have ever had. Air con, broken... Fan in bathroom, broken. The ceiling was dripping so much water after a shower it was like it was raining inside. Informed the front desk twice, they sent engineering, who stated the air was not broken, after commenting the room was hot. Temp app reading 80. I bought a fan to try to cool the room down (which was left behind as I flew in) but it did not help. Never was an offer to switch rooms given. Instead engineering said the air was working fine as everyone in the room was sweating. His suggestion was to prop the room door open, because the hallway was cooler. It was abysmal and Hilton you should be embarrassed! And I was even more disappointed in the "attempt" to "make it right" ... a free breakfast buffet. Breakfast was not the issue. The issue was ignored and nothing was done. Reached out to Hilton directly hoping to leave feeling the issues would be rectified but was told they would tell the hotel management. Left me feeling the issue was never addressed, never being "made right" Please find another hotel when in San Francisco. I've received better service and more comfortable rooms at 2 and 3 star hotels while traveling for work.
From the time we checked in everyone was very nice and accommodating. We were a bit early and Sarah was able to get us a room. The staff that cleaned the rooms on floor 28 were exceptional, very clean and kept us with fresh towels. The kitchen and wait staff at Cable 55 were very friendly and nice to talk with. Overall had a great experience at the hotel. The BART from the airport arrives right near the base of the hotel.
Honestly, I had a good experience at this hotel. It is an older property, more than 45 years old, so you should expect the rooms to feel dated rather than modern. That being said, everything was kept clean and in good condition, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. One of the things I liked most was the gym. It is spacious, well equipped, and more than adequate for anyone who wants to stay active while traveling. The only thing I did not like was the café. They offer a breakfast buffet for $40, which I thought was extremely overpriced for the limited selection and quality of the food. There were scrambled eggs that tasted processed, some fruit, and a few very basic options. For that price, I expected much more variety, better quality, and a nicer presentation. Overall, this is a good option if you find a reasonable rate and understand that it is an older hotel. The cleanliness, friendly staff, and excellent gym help make up for the dated rooms.
