Nice Hotel, but Terrible Elevator Management – Not Family-Friendly! Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and we appreciated that the hotel accommodated our late check-in. However, there are some serious issues that management needs to address. If you’re traveling with small children, a stroller, or a lot of luggage, think twice before booking this hotel! The hotel has FIVE elevators, yet getting one is an absolute nightmare. All five seem to be constantly occupied, and to make matters worse, hotel staff use the same elevators to transport large luggage carts. Apparently, there are no dedicated service elevators, or at least the staff aren’t using them. This is extremely poor planning and management for a hotel of this size. We waited approximately 10 minutes for an elevator going up, which was already inconvenient. But the worst experience came during checkout, when we had to wait almost 30 MINUTES just to get an elevator going down! THIRTY MINUTES to leave your floor! With small children, a stroller, and luggage, this is completely unacceptable. Guests should not have to compete with hotel staff and their oversized luggage carts for elevator space. A hotel that accommodates families should have a much better system in place. To make matters worse, we found someone else’s sock lying on the bathroom floor when we arrived. While the room and hotel generally appeared clean, finding a previous guest’s belongings raises questions about the quality of housekeeping inspections. It’s disappointing because the hotel itself is nice, and our overall experience could have been much better. My advice to management: Fix your elevator situation. Five elevators are useless if guests have to wait half an hour to use one. Until these issues are addressed, I would hesitate to recommend this hotel to families with young children.

We chose this Hyatt because of its location in SF. Room was exceptionally clean and quiet. First night before bed I forgot to pickup some distilled water so I called the front desk to see if their store had any in stock. The receptionist said she’ll have housekeeping bring me a gallon. Wow! Complimentary! Wow! Exceptional service at every turn. The Regency Club was the same. We enjoyed the revolving club while eating a meal or just relaxing at night. Great experience!
Desired was very nice. The club lounge is awesome it sits on a wheel and spins 360°for the best views in town. The lobby here is huge. My service in the club lounge was Great I could say though that the food could have been better. The power service downstairs and lobby is really good but I would not go on the outside of the bar cuz the service is very slow. From the front desk all the way to the main service everybody here was very nice and very friendly I'm willing to help out. If you are in San Francisco especially close to the court this is the hotel you definitely want to stay in.
Traveling with a family of four with two teenage girls. We were all very impressed with this hotel. The staff go above an beyond to make sure you're welcomed and taken care of. The rooms are gigantic for an urban hotel in the heart of the action! I've been to San Francisco several times over the last 30 years and this trip at the end of May '26 was absolutely the safest I've felt in the city and it's the cleanest I've ever seen it. I've been told it's the new mayor, whatever it is, I'm glad to see the city shining like the jewel it is and this is a great hotel to use as homebase. Definitely worth upgrading to the club level if available the club lounge has a breathtaking view and a nice selection of snacks, teas, and coffees.
Clean, comfortable rooms with a nice updated fee. My only gripe was wanting more plugs and USB ports for charging devices. If you’re debating the upgrade… do it. The water balcony is 100% worth it. Waking up on the 16th floor with that view was great. The hotel itself has a big, open feel with stunning vaulted ceilings and eye-catching art sculptures in the lobby. And yes the glass elevator with open views is a favorite of all ages. Location-wise, it’s super convenient to get to a few main attractions. Oracle Park was just a quick 5–10 minute scooter ride away (easy rentals everywhere). Only downside: parking. It’s limited unless you hunt for nearby lots, or be ready to shell out about $100 a night for valet. Worth knowing before you go.
