Hotel Zelos San Francisco

Honestly I think only good thing about this hotel was the guy who worked as the valet. He was incredibly kind and made sure we were taken care of. Where should I start with the rest of the review… We walked in in the evening to check in, front desk personnel weren’t kind, they didn’t mention which room we were in and when we asked to double check they told us to look at our key card lol. Looked annoyed with any other questions. One of the elevators didn’t work at all so we waited around for a while every time we had to go up or down. Parking is a partial mortgage payment. Rooms don’t really look like the photos. The finish on everything looked really cheap. Caulk lines on the toilet and shower were an inch thick 😅. All of the artwork around the hotel seemed really creepy. I had a print of a humanoid type thing starting at the bed hanging above the bed… Location is good if you want to stay close to midtown

We had a wonderful stay. It is in a great location for walking to all the sites. The front desk staff was very friendly and the room was great. We will definitely stay here again on future San Francisco visits.

If I can give it 10 stars I would. I work in the service industry so I know A LOT about standards. This is not the Ritz or the Intercontinental, it is simply your very comfortable home away from home. I checked out today and my experience was amazing. The front desk employee were ALL amazing, Nabih and the rest were phenomenal! They made me so comfortable, I was visiting for Folsom and I had a great time. The room ,king, was big, the bathroom is great. The Dirty Habit restaurant on the 5th floor is amazing. The gym is actually great. Thank-you hotel Zelos

The room is comfortable, and the hotel has a great location. However, the housekeeping service simply does not work. On two consecutive days, we left early in the morning for sightseeing and returned in the afternoon only to find that our room had not been cleaned. To make matters worse, the staff falsely claimed that we had left the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, which was not true. The housekeeping service was extremely disappointing. You basically have to beg just to get your room cleaned and your towels replaced. This is not the level of service you expect from a hotel in this category.
