Ashnil Samburu Camp

As someone who just travelled ten days in Kenya and went to five different parks with different accommodations, this was one of our favourites and it was our first stop. The service was outstanding, every staff member there was lovely to deal with and went above and beyond to make our stay. The bar team was amazing company and provided excellent service and the chef and kitchen team knocked it out of the park and had some of the best meals during our whole trip there. I couldn't recommend this place enough and it's worth the drive! Not to mention how amazing the park is to drive around and how many breathtaking animal sightings we saw from baby lions, jaguars and to herds of elephants right in front of us. I could go on and on but I would ensure you stay at this place when planning a safari.

Look at my photos! Samburu is amazing but this camp is right on the river. So when you come home for a rest at lunch you can watch elephants walk right outside the camp. We laid in bed and watched elephants walk by. If you go stand by the fence you can be like 10 feet from them. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. The rooms were really nice. But if your hotel doesn’t have elephants walking by your room…. It’s once in a lifetime.

A perfect place with a personal touch Our trip in Kenya started at Samburu. We stayed in Tent 7 at Ashnil Samburu Lodge It was such a great beginning. So much warmth in the staff. Carol completed out check in process so smoothly and gave us the room we wanted. Winnie was so helpful in arranging for our packed breakfast. Elvis was excellent and served us super meals. The lodge is in the perfect location and right in the middle. Very very serene and views from the room were lovely. Such a personal touch each staff member gave us - we were very touched . The food was amazing too. Since the lodge is inside the Samburu National park the power is on generator. When we checked in we were told that power will be off from 10 am to 12 pm then 4-6 pm which was ok. The slight uncomfortable part was that the power would be off from 1-4 am while we were asleep. We informed Winnie that in the heat we found it tough to sleep and they were very kind not to switch off the power in the middle of the night Thank you Carol, Winnie, Elvis , Chef and the entire staff for a lovely memorable experience

Our stay at Ashnil Camp Samburu was nothing short of exceptional. Javier from Mexico and I sincerely had an amazing 8 nights here, and words are honestly not enough to express how grateful we are to the entire team. From the very beginning, the reception staff were incredibly welcoming, warm, and always ready to assist with any information we needed in a timely and professional manner. The hospitality throughout our stay truly made us feel at home. A special thank you goes to Daniel and Lino at the restaurant for their outstanding service, kindness, and attention to detail. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Their positive energy and professionalism made every meal experience memorable. Room service was always up to par, the rooms were comfortable and well maintained, and the entire facility itself is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly blends with the Samburu wilderness while still feeling very homely. We sincerely thank the entire Ashnil Camp Samburu team for making our stay so special. May you continue offering the same incredible hospitality to all future guests who choose to experience this wonderful place. Highly recommended.
