A don’t miss tour if you love , The Sound of Music . Our guide , Jose was very knowledgeable and entertaining.

We were ecstatic to take the Sound of Music bus tour but unfortunately it was a bit underwhelming. And expensive for what you got.

A delightful tour of filming sights and history of the film and the Von Trapp family. Our tour guide Brigette was fun and full of stories about the people in the film and in the real life story. Very enjoyable!

Wonderful experience, especially because Connor our Irish tour guide had a wonderful sense of humour and imparted all kinds of great information to us. We took the tour on what would’ve been Dame Julie Andrews’s 91st birthday which made it extra special. Plenty of time at each location and very clear instructions. The highlight was seeing the church where Maria and the Captain got married and getting fresh apple strudel with warm vanilla custard from the strudel girl at the lake at Mondsee! The only reason I took one star off is because you don’t get to see videos of the film while you’re on the bus - you only hear the music being played and get to singalong, they obviously don’t have a license to show the actual film footage which was a little disappointing. Other than that - highly recommended!

The tour brings to life so many elements of the movie and adds a whole bunch of backstory, history and context. The opportunity to actually see and visit geniune movie locations is mixed with uncovering some "secrets" that are not obvious just from watching the movie.

The tour was fabulous, and our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the movie and lots of facts about the production. Not only was it super enjoyable, it was also lots of fun. I highly recommend it.

Our guide, Stephanie, was “over the top” excellent. She was able to share many facts about the production of “sound of Music”. She had all bus participants singing songs from the musical. Be sure to take this tour!!!

Took this tour with my friend for her 50th birthday as we are both avid fans of the film. Jose was an excellent tour guide and was so knowledgeable. Was amazing to visit many of the sites used in the iconic film. If you are a fan of the Sound of Music and in Salzburg then this is must see experience.

Be open to having a fun experience. Even if The Sound of Music is not your favorite movie, you will be captivated by the energy of the guide and the extent to which the director of The Sound of Music maximized the beauty of Salzburg with the plot of the movie.

A very fun tour! Our guide was informative about the Von Trapp Family and the movie. The bus was full! Arrive early to get a good seat. We enjoyed all the sites from the movie especially the gazebo and seeing the lake area in the mountains. Loved the fun sing along too! Highly recommend!

We had an amazing day with Elena seeing the sound of music highlights! Elena knew so much about the movie and the history of Maria's story - we learned so much on this tour! While it was raining for the first few hours, we still had an excellent experience and got to see so many filming locations and beautiful places from the movie. The tour bus was comfortable and everyone was really enjoying themselves! We would absolutely bring family to do this tour a second time! A great day overall!

This tour was fun. Dave was full of interesting information and energy! You can tell he loves what he does! Sidney was an amazing tour bus driver as well!

Oh my word….what a gift to relive some sweet childhood memories and all the good feels! Jose the guide and Ferdinand the driver were top class. The views and the story telling we incredibly informative and the deep history that Jose has been privy to is a master class in his craft. I’d recommend this to anyone….from passionate about the Sound of Music to the novice who only knows the name of the movie/musical.

It was so much fun learning about the Von Trapp family. The town of Salzburg is beautiful and getting to learn the history of the family was great.

Alinka the tour guide was knowledgable and funny with a great personality. The tour is fun interactive and takes you to all the places you’d want to see, However it’s the stories in the commentary along with those spectacular views that makes it special experience for fans of the musical and those who just love a story. It’s a full four hour experience that leaves you singing the songs for the rest of the day.. My wife, a big fan of the film said “Best day ever”

I’m not a big Sound of Music fan, but the tour offers breath-taking views of Salzburg!

Could have included more stops . A stop and visit to Sound of Music museum would have been great closer to their home and Abby would have been great too.

Wonderful tour of the sites from Sound of Music on a comfortable bus. Guide as informative and funny. Got to see several locations that would have been challenging if driving ourselves. Take this tour!

Excellent tour. Well worth the time and money, even if you only have a moderate interest in The Sound of Music. Ferdinand, our driver, did a great job navigating the busy streets and David, our guide, was informative and fun. He was also happy to answer all questions. Highly recommended this tour. And the length is just right!

A must see!!! If you are in Salzburg and want to see the Austrian countryside this is a must do!!! Even if you are not a fan (yet) take the ride! It is worth every minute!!! Kylie was tremendous and knew everything there was to know about the Von Trapps and the movie cast! Great morning seeing the village of Mondsee and the beautiful picturesque Alps

We watched the movie before arriving in Salzburg. Doing the tour made the movie come to life. Great views on the bus trip as well. Recommend.

It was full of things I did not know about the movie. Simon seemed very knowledgeable and made the tour extremely exciting.

Simon made our tour so enjoyable and fun. Very knowledgeable in the filming process as well as the history. We appreciated Simon's sense of humor and how welcoming he was when it came to questions. The tour stopped at various filming locations and although the behind the scenes stories were surprising at times it did not take away from the magic that is, The Sound of Music 🎶 . Thanks to Alex, our driver, who negotiated traffic and turns like he was driving a small Fiat. Thank you for helping to fulfill these Canadians' dreams.

So much fun. The most light hearted, sing along level excursion we've ever had. We loved every minute. Just a joyful experience. Beautiful countryside, relatable locations.

Myself and 2 friends had such a brilliant time on this trip. It was so much fun and after having it recommended to us it was everything we hoped it would be. The meeting point was easy to find and tickets were very easy to collect having booked in advance. The 3 of us were able to sit together on the back seat. Our coach was comfortable, clean and the guide Bridgette was just fantastic. She was so full of joy and was so passionate about the Von Trapp family and the Sound of music film. She really seemed to love her job and could not have been more accommodating and lovely. She was incredibly knowledgable and we learnt alot about the history of the real Maria & the Von Trapp family. Also stories about the making of the film & some snippets of gossip from the time & where the actors stayed. I’m planning to read Maria’s autobiography which Liselle mentioned as sounds such an incredible story. We had the best time singing along to the music and looking at the beautiful scenery on the tour. Austria is stunning & listening to the stories & music whilst watching the Austrian mountains and lakes pass us by was just magical. Bridgette also had a cute soft toy goat in her hand joining us for the Lonely Goatherd song much to the delight of a little girl sat next to us. Having loved the film for so long this was such a special trip. A lifetime memory ❤️🎵 The stop offs were just the right amount of time and Bridgette offered to take photos and chatted amongst us after telling us a bit about each of the film scene stops. Drinks were available to buy and there was a convenient toilet break during one of the stops. A longer stop at the little town with the church where they married allowed us time for some shopping & cake & coffee. Some really pretty boutiques here too. After the end of the tour Bridgette helped us with which bus to take back to the SOM museum as the tour doesn’t allow time to go inside. That was definitely worth a visit too. I have already recommended this to friends & would love to come back and do again. Four hours of complete joy, laughter & happiness. Thank you Bridgette & driver for a great trip.. worth every penny 👏👏👏

We had a wonderful guide with so much knowledge of the Von Trapp Family. He also made us all laugh a lot so this was a very entertaining as well informative tour. We saw many places used from the Sound Of Music film. Loved the sing a long music on the tour bus.
