This is great tour of significant Salzburg sites with a welcoming and knowledgeable guide. It included outside views of Mozart’s home, his statue in the old town, the spectacular Mirabell Gardens and places where Sound of Music scenes were filmed. We thoroughly enjoyed it..

Very informative tour, enjoyed all the sights. Our guide, Claudia, was great but sometimes a bit hard to hear on the noisy streets especially when she gave commentary while we were walking.
Andrea was a phenomenal tour guide using her knowledge of the area to show us beautiful Salzburg! Must see if you are visiting the city
Andrea our guide clarity of information was excellent and she answered individual questions and gave us lots of ideas of places local residents eat and go to. And off the beaten track idea too. Great person.
The guide Andrea was good, the main issue was that the group was too large, 27 people. I wish to hear more of history.
Definitely a great way to see lots of things you might have missed otherwise. Very informative even on a rainy day. Lol
Friendly guide and very knowledgeable. First hour was fine but the second lost its appeal a bit as the heavens opened? Thoroughly enjoyed it though.
Excellent guide! We felt there were too many people in the group but she did a good job keeping us all together. She spoke excellent English and her knowledge was amazing.
It felt disorganized and disjointed. Not much relevant information. Very slow pace for a walking tour, lots of time standing around waiting for someone or something. Do not recommend.
Day 1: Arrive in Vienna I travelled with my wife and 4 kids with ages 12, 10, 9 and 6. I need to rent minivan as the requirement in Austria is very strict, child below 140 cm should sit on the child seat. So don't ever think you can rent small cars considering they are small and you can accommodate them at the back seat. For minivan (9 seaters), I spend around € 360 for 4 days + €91 for child seats (2 no’s). I drove from Salzburg after taking train from Vienna via West Bahn (around 2.5 hrs. journey). Once I arrived in Salzburg Train Station (Salzburg Hbf), I need to drop my luggage in the storage location near to this train station; as it's troublesome to carry 3 big luggage and to handle 4 kids at the same time. You can check Stasher storage website for online booking. Day 2: Salzburg I took a bus from the train station to Salzburg Airport to pick up the vehicle. As I already made the online booking, the pickup process was quite easy. The package already includes insurance for third party accident cover and minor collision. I need to pay € 380 for security deposit. Please take photos of the vehicle for proof of vehicle actual condition before the rent in case you need it later. Once I collected the vehicle, we went to Mirabelle Palace Garden by car. It is advisable to park your car at a nearby parking area such as Mirabell-Congress Garage. It’s more convenience to walk rather than using car as you can continue to explore the other attraction places around this area such as Makartsteg, Getreidegasse, Mozartplatz and finally Salzburg Old Town. If you’re looking for take home souvenirs such as fridge magnet, key chain you can find at the shops in the old town with competitive price.
Great guide and so informative , Helpful day one to get us ready for an adventure in this amazing city
Our tour guide Angela was great and very informative about Salzburg. She took us to all the main areas and into the old town which was lovely. She gave lots of recommendations for the best cafes, cake and restaurants which is always a bonus. She also recommended other places to see and visit during our stay. Would highly recommend a walking tour of Salzburg.
Great tour! :) Our guide was very knowledgeable and a wonderful storyteller. The city is absolutely beautiful—I only wish I had more time to spend there.
The tour and the guide were boring. One big circle at a very slow pace, it seemed like our guide was trying to find things to talk about. We started with about 25 in the tour and ended with maybe 10.
Nothing overly good or bad about it. Good way to get an overview and history of the city. Tour guide was very nice.
A great short tour of Salzburg - the perfect amount of time and information to help you know about the city and get you acquainted with the area.
Too many people, tour guide did not have microphone. Could hear the guide tour. We left middle of f the tour.
We spent the day in this beautiful city. It was St.Rupert’s Festival and a public holiday. The city was heaving with crowds of locals and tourists. There was a fun fare and different stalls selling traditional handicrafts. There were also Austrian food stalls and local beers. Although it was raining heavily on and off it didn’t spoil the atmosphere and the day out. The local tour guide was enthusiastic and had sense of humour. He was full of helpful hints and ideas for making the most of the day.
We had a little difficulty finding the tour, but after Work Florian did a great job showing us around the town. Would’ve liked to spend more time in old town versus Mirabel Gardens..
Lovely tour of the city, you get to see a little bit of everything! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history and architecture and provided recommendations for the rest of the day.
It was not long enough but the guide was very informative about the old town and oriented us well so we could navigate on our own solo travel girl
I went to the exact location the listing showed on the meeting point, using both the map in the listing and entering the address into Google Maps. The guide was not there. I called the tour company twice and they refuse to refund me, with the guide saying he was there and that he called me (I can easily provide a screenshot of my call history). So I would not recommend booking a tour where the guide might not show up and you won’t be refunded. If
Guide was knowledgeable but presentation was less than desired. Spoke softly so very hard to hear her. Command of the English language was not the strongest.
Super. Great tour guide. Informative. We enjoyed all the information about the city of Salzburg Wouid recommend to new travelers to Salzburg
Igor our guide was very interesting to listen to. We learned all about the city and he specialized in showing us the unusual aspects of Salzburg. We saw many beautiful sights and learned the history attached to it. Igor is very very knowledgeable about every aspect of the city. We only had half of a day and he helped with advising us how to use our time best. I highly recommend Igor and this tour to everyone! Igor definitely made our brief Salzburg and Austria experience a great one!
We never got to the tour because of the construction going on in salzburg and the bus routes being changed all over town so we were late. We called the help number twice. The first gentleman tried very hard to help us and call the tour lead so we could make it or let us join later. We called again and a lady answered. She was reluctant to reach out to the guide but put us on hold and tried. The guide never picked up to help us get to the tour. We finally made it through the busses late and went to the starting place and the police there gave us advice on which way the tour was headed and we followed the way the tour might had been. When we reached the gardens we ran into a lady from another excursion who knew our guide and she said they had just finished and left. We were extremely upset with the city of salzburg as their bus service this da was terrible. We tried to catch up but could not. We expect a refund of the tour as the conditions that day were out of our control. We had plenty of time but the city busses really messed up . We want a refund, please. Sincerely Terry and Andrea D
Tour guide was wonderful, informative, friendly and personable gave us a great restaurant for lunch….
Guide was very knowledgeable. He spoke clearly and was easy to follow. Tour hit all of the highlights of the city.
This was a very informative, fun and relaxed tour. Our guide gave us lots of historical and musical information. She was very well informed and patient while we all took numerous photos. We had about 16-8 people in 5 separate groupings; by the end of the tour we all clicked as 1.
Good overall tour to get to know highlight of the city. To guide was great 👍
Very good guide. Answered all questions, very pleasant.
Florian was a great and friendly guide! He had a lot of information on the beautiful city. It was a busy afternoon, and it was a bit difficult at times to hear him. Maybe the use of a headset could be considered.
Daniel was very knowledgeable and interesting (great guid). The tour was definitely worthwhile for just a day visit. I wish we would have stayed longer to see more beautiful sites.
Tanya was very knowledgeable about the area. Loved touring Old Town and the gardens.
Daniel was a fun, imformative guide. The tour does not take you inside any places, but as the first experience for us after arriving in Salzburg the night before, we felt like we learned a lot about the history and layout of Salzburg after just two hours. We recommend that you take the tour at the beginning of your visit to Salzburg.
We loved the tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and took us to a spot with few people where we had a great view of many of the top spots is Salzburg.
This was a great experience. We covered quite a bit of ground. The guide was friendly and engaging. wW loved it.
Good, informative tour of Salzburg done by a friendly local. Loren of Roso Travel kept things moving at a good pace. We saw and learned a lot.
Andreas was a wonderful guide! Very knowledgeable and was so helpful. He made things very interesting too.
The guide was so informative, pleasant and insightful. She answered all the group's questions politely. Even gave us recommendations for excellent restaurants, cafés and pastry shops.
This was a great 2 hr walking tour hitting a lot of the old town highlights. Florian was a great guide!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared lots of information and the tour was nicely organized. Nevertheless the group was big and for the price (which is quite expensive compared to tours I had in cities like Munich), I would have appreciated if the guide had a little micro. I would have wanted to learn more about the city, the history and current facts.
We loved our guide and the tour. Learned alot but especially enjoyed where he took us and how he explained the history and points of interest. Plus he made a huge effort to keep us in the shade and cool during a massive heat wave. We met other folks and formed friendships. It was great tour and fully worth every cent. Thank you!!
Awesome and detailed info on history of Old Town. It would be good to watch Sound of music again. Love the open market.
Very big group, about 25 people and it was difficult to heat the guide without any ear devices. Also, he told very little about history of Salzburg and spoke in punchlines… very disappointing tour.
As another reviewer said - just the right tour - not too much, not to little, interesting information at the right pace and good orientation for the city. Our guide Florian was charming and funny. A great way spend a morning in the beautiful city of Salzburg.
We took this tour in the last week of Aug 2026. Claudia was our tour guide. The group had 22 people. Overall it was an informative and well spent 2 hours getting to know parts & a bit of history of Salzburg. Claudia took us to Mirabell Gardens, passed by Mozart’s birth place (didn’t go in) and a few other places..(I had purchased combination tickets to see Mozart’s birth place and his residence where he lived from age 17 till he moved to Vienna. IMO a must see even if you’re not a Mozart fan) While I feel Claudia could have condensed a lot more info in the 2 hours.. the crowds and a slight rain that day might have made it difficult to stop many places to talk. But all in all , no regrets and I would do it again
I think it would have helped if our guide had had a microphone kind of device- many times I could not hear her otherwise the information she provided was appreciated and interesting!
Salzburg is a beautiful city/town I would highly recommend visiting there. We did a day trip by train from Vienna so needed to pack in as much as possible. This tour was great and Florien was a fantastic guide
The walking tour was great and our guide was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable and showed us the best locations. It was a great way to see Salzburg and learn the history, Highly recommended.
