Peter was very nice and knowledgeable. However we felt that the narration was broken and the overall context on the history of Salzburg we were looking at was missing. He did share many details but we struggled to put them in perspective without an overview.

Itinerary
Salzburg’s Burgher Town with its narrow, crooked little streets and the unique passage ways of the so-called '
Getreidegasse' Salzburg’s commercial centre still remains intact in its medieval charm contrasting the great spacious Baroque squares of the district where the Archbishops presided over the city in their Residence.
We pass by
Mozart’s Birthplace and the
Festival Halls before we reach the
monastery of the Benedictines called St. Peter – dating back to 696 AC. Along with stories of Salzburg’s medieval salt commerce and medical innovations, we follow the childhoods of Wolfgang and Nannerl Mozart as well as the life story of the great second musical son of the city, the composer, Michael Haydn.
By the end of the walk, visitors know our local customs and traditions, our cultural and political history, and our enviable musical heritage. Last but not least, you will learn the true story of the global movie classic
The Sound of Music's Trapp family, one of the authentically great refugee tales of the second world war.

Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, easy going, and fun. She was so sweet and kind. Answered all of our questions and showed us so many beautiful historical spots we would have never found on our own. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 hour tour.
We booked a small group tour and it ended up being just my cousin and me. We learned a lot about the city which made the rest of our trip go much smoother. The guide was delightful and very informative.
Natalie met us on time, tailored her walking tour based on the interest of the group. Combined a knowledge of satzburg history with personalities

Amazing tour. Meeting Point was easy to find. Claudia was the best guide which we can have in Salzburg, very knowledgeable, friendly and open minded. The whole tour went beyond our expectation. Thank you!
Our guide was very knowledgeable. She was very cognizant of our need to walk slower as elder adults. She was very friendly. Loved this experience.
Lisa was a very knowledgeable and interesting guide! My wife and I were the only persons in our “small group,” so Lisa tailored the entire time to our interests! We had been to Salzburg previously, but more on a”Sound of Music” tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and the magic of Salzburg this time!!
Our guide was experienced and knowledgeable. The tour covered the old town area completely. We recorded 10,000+ steps. The pace was comfortable.
Excellent tour and information from Claudia. She gave us a thorough walking tour and tailored it to our interests. We covered a lot of ground and saw many places of interest we did not find when we were walking around Salzburg on our own.

Claudia was very knowledgeable and helped my wife and me to much better understand Salzburg and its history. She very hospitable and relaxed, but also structured, organised and clear. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
This guide was able to provide extensive historic and cultural details for Salzburg. We loved her sense of humor. A magical moment was when she took us into the chapel of Nonnenberg Abbey and the choir was rehearsing.
Claudia is very knowledgeable and took us to parts of the city we would not otherwise have seen. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Liza is an amazing tour guide; she is very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions with great enthusiasm. We highly recommend this tour to gain an understanding of Salzburg’s deep history and unique traditions. It was time well spent.
Lisa was a great tour guide. She gave us plenty of interesting information. Her English was excellent. She was super thoughtful about making sure we stopped only in shady areas, keeping us out of the intense heat.
This was a great introduction to Salzburg. Liza was a fantastic tour guide and even worked with us when our train was delayed and we ended up being 30 minutes late. She waited for us and still gave us an excellent tour. We learned so much about Old Town Salzburg, including filming locations from the Sound of Music and important places related to Mozart and his life. She was very conscious of the heat that day and in order for everyone to feel more comfortable would move us to the shade or somewhere to sit down while she explained our surroundings. She pointed out places that we were able to come back to later in our trip and gave us recommendations for snacks, ice cream, etc.
It was absolutely perfect. We saw all the highlights of the old city. There are so many beautiful areas we would have never found on our own. Throughout our stay we went back to almost everything we saw. Our guide Liza was wonderful and very knowledgeable.
Old town information. Great tour. Nice small group. Very knowledgeable. Guide very helpful. Thank you.
Liza is incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Salzburg. She was able to share historical insight as well as more local lore. She is a thoughtful guide and wanted to make sure we got the most out our time together. The photos she brought were helpful. Liked her perspective as an Austrian on the Sound of Music and the real vonTrapp family. She even suggested the best places to stand in the garden. Thank you!!
Wonderful tour with a very knowledgeable guide! We saw the Old Town and a bit of the New Town. We learned about the Sound of Music and saw some of the filming locations. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Salzburg!

The tour guide Claudia was excellent- very knowledgeable and interesting. We enjoyed her stories and she did not try to cover too much ground during the 3-hour tour.
My guide was brilliant. It was the most lovely morning and full of interesting and fun facts. She brought Salzburg to life for me. It was a wonderful way to understand the history and day to day mood of the city.
Wonderful walking tour through old town with Lisa. Lisa shows her excitement and love for Salzburg in all her descriptions walking through old town. She was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable! I highly recommend this tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed the chance to explore the city on foot with an insider our guide grew up and lives here in fact, she biked to our appointment.
