This was an excellent tour and we had an excellent guide that tailored the tour to our needs and allowed us to see the maximum amount possible during our time in Salzburg. Our guide also gave us helpful tips and recommendations for the remainder of our time in Salzburg which were very useful and much appreciated. We started in Salzburg and saw numerous sites there (some of which he explained in detail so that we could return to them the following day as we planned) and then we went to the Lake District and had a wonderful lunch and sightseeing experience there. I would highly recommend this tour!

Peter was a really great guide! We had a short time due to a last minute plan to visit Salzburg for a few hours, and needed to make the most of it. A custom private tour really fit our needs perfectly - we saw the best parts of the sound of music locations, Mozart locations, the fortress, the old city, shops, bridges and more. We did exactly what we wanted, how long we wanted and saved a lot of time. Peter is incredibly knowledgeable about the city, and was able to give us dozens of recommendations.

Bernhard took us to local restaurants off the beaten path where we enjoyed authentic meals with breathtaking views of the Alps sometimes dining right in the heart of them. He guided us up to the Eagles Nest sharing fascinating stories and insights that turned the day into a 10 /10 experience. Even in small moments his kindness shone through, when I wasn't feeling well from mountain drives he didn't hesitate to stop bring me into a grocery store for something to eat and sit with me until I felt better. This kind of care is rare and so deeply appreciated It made us feel that this is the true heart of Austria. Fantastic experience! Traveling w my family: husband and 17and 21 yo daughters. Our tour guide- Peter was an extremely knowledgeable, accommodating. Gave us the most interesting tour of the Zaltsburg and gorgeous lake in the area. He customized everything to our requests . Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing! This tour was so good, worth it ! Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and friendly, he knew all the secrets and all the spots! Taught us the history; took us to all the best locations and genuinely seemed interested in teaching us! He drove us in a nice, clean car! Took photos for us and personalized the tour to our tastes! He also showed us some really interesting spots that were super easy to miss but very good to see! He recommended restaurants, spoke multiple languages and really just made us really comfortable. I highly recommend booking this tour and will be booking again!

Interesting tour. Really liked seeing the countryside and all the places Sound of Music filmed. It was a bit nonstop for over 4 hours. A cafe break would have been a nice respite for a moment.

They're worse and a fake tour that denied what they promise before the tour. beware of they so you wont fail big victim. No promises is real

We requested a custom tour of Salzburg. When we were picked up by the guide, he thought we had booked a sound of music tour. They had to scramble around to find a guide who could give us a tour of Salzburg and by the time she was located, our tour lasted about an hour and a half half. No refund was offered. This happened in August 2024.

Our tour was wonderful. We were able to do the tour at our pace. We take a lot of pictures and were not rushed. Our guide was very patient and informative. Marcus was terrific and would highly recommend him.

Overpriced for what is a very shallow and light experience. Driver was late and it was mainly external views

Was a great tour that was fitted to what we wanted to see and hear. We learned a lot about Salzburg history and also got to. See where some of the sound of music was filmed. I would highly recommend

Bernhard was an excellent tour guide, and customized our 1/2day tour to our expectations. We covered the old town and the lake district, stopped for a Bosna for lunch (traditional sausage sandwich), had a delicious Mozart Kugel, and shopped for some holiday gifts. Overall a great day, and would highly recommend.

We loved this day! I took my three kids, ages 15 and 12 and our guide took us on a personalized tour of the city, and out to see all of the Sound Of Music sites, stopped for ice cream for the kids and the. Ended the day at the Red Bull Hanger. This is the personal tour that has wrecked me for all other tours. Nothing has compared to this experience nearly 3 years ago.

We only had 44 hours in Salzburg. So glad we did this tour. It was the perfect balance of highlights of Salzburg / Sound of Music and the Lake District, with an emphasis on lakes. Well worth the money.

What a great experience. Bernie picked us (4 adults) up at the train station in a spacious and clean Mercedes Van. We toured all of Salzburg and The Sound of Music highlights. One member of our party said it was the best day ever. Bernie was so knowledgeable and also had photographs from The Sound of Music and the original Von Trapp family that made all the stops really come alive. I would highly recommend Bernie to anyone touring Salzburg.

Excellent private customised guided tour in Salzburg. Our guide, Bernie, was exceptional, friendly, knowledgeable and good fun. I had sent an itinerary to Viator prior to our trip, and we visited these sites and much more. I absolutely recommend using aviator, this was worth every penny and made for great memories.

Don’t use this company!! I contacted Bernhardt 3 months in advance for a private tour, specifically asking for him to be our guide. The date was chosen based on his availability. Two days prior he emailed to say someone else would be our guide. I expressed my disappointment and received NO response. Be Special is merely a car service, nothing more. Don’t waste your money like we did.

Our guide was very professional and friendly. We also had a great driver. We walked around the City and then went to Hallstatt which was one of the highlights of our trip to Europe. Highly recommended tour. As it was private, it was in the expensive side but well worth it.

Great day. Our guide, Gerhard, was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The company was able to provide a variety for the tour which was much easier for me to get into, which was much appreciated too.

Gerhard picked us up from the train station in time and drove around and explained every aspect of the story and filming of The Sound of Music. He was knowledgable and explained everything very nicely.

Our time with Christian was excellent. He was able to make recommendations that fit our desires in the 4 hours we spent with him. Even through a downpour, we still checked off our bucket list! So worth it! We were a family of 4 with adult children!

Our tour guide Bernie took care of every detail of our fabulous day in and around Salzburg….he even pivoted to add in several ‘non-Sound Of Music’ stops for members in our family including Hohenwerfen Castle and the Red Bull hangars . Our guide was interesting and knowledgeable and while we only had a short time there, our guide made sure we had a great overall tour seeing the highlights of Salzburg. We plan to go back and stay a couple of days next time. It is a beautiful city.</p>
